Always a solid choice to grab and go kimbap. It's tucked in the back left corner of the California Market behind the fridge section. They also have some premade containers of two rolls on the counter or you can order specific rolls and amounts with them. If there are no seats, you can always go out and up to the third floor outdoor area.

Ordered some udon from here and it was pretty good. I also tried the fish cake kimbap and that was also tasty. Haven't dined in only grabbed pickup. They were fast and my food was still very warm when I got home. I'll definitely come back to try their other soups.

Their kimbap is probably one of my favorites. I drove all the way from oc in the windy rainy weather, and during my visit to Koreatown, I had to get kimbap from here. For $8 you can choose 2 rolls of kimbap and mismatch your preference. I asked for tuna and perilla leaf kimbap. I waited 20 minutes and when I got home after driving over an hour in traffic and rain, I was so dismayed to find out that I had burdock kimbap and not perilla leaf. I do like burdock but not as much as perilla leaf kimbap. I haven't had kimbap from California market storefront in over a year and I was truly saddened due to this unsatisfied craving 4 for kimbap because I am loyal2 for incorrect order and wait time

I ordered delivery. For 20.50 you get a half empty teokbokki that is mostly watered down sauce that isn't spicy or flavorful. Adding pig pieces of carrot to make the dish look fuller feels like deceit. I was expecting more since it was the more expensive dish. The gimbap was proportional to the food, the sausage gimbap was sorta plain but okay, I preferred the fishcake one more. The beef bulgogi was on the drier side but had decent taste to it.

It doesn't feel as hearty or flavorful as it used to. It's a shame that the combo menu is gone, and the taste is just okay. However, the parking lot is spacious and free, so it's nice not to have to worry about parking fees.

I try to stop by here any time I'm grocery shopping at the market! Super fast service and really tasty food. Started coming here a few years ago when I used to work in ktown for our lunch breaks and, man, do I miss it! The kimbap and jjolmyun combo are the best but you can also never go wrong with the udon. There are tables that you can sit at but be sure to put away your trays after you're done eating (rack near the restrooms)!

Beef kimbap - this was good but too salty. I liked the flavor and they made it fresh to order but it seemed like they put too much salt or soy sauce in it. Fish cake kimbap - this was good too but again too salty. Not sure if they are adding salt to the rice or vegetable mix but both rolls were salty so it's not just the beef or fish cake. This was my first time trying this place and maybe they were having an off day.

Service: they deserve zero stars because of how the bilingual ( Korean and English speaking) young woman (cashier) treated my wife. The young woman in question is FLUENT in English and Korean. She speaks standard American English without a Korean accent. Sounds like she grew up in the states. She has long black hair. She spoke English to my Asian wife in an EXTREMELY condescending and demeaning way. THAT is why I am taking the time to write this review. The cashier's foul attitude was and is COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. It is rude and hostile for absolutely no reason. My wife ordered combo 1 (which comes with a bowl of noodles and kimbap). Not only did the cashier repeat after my wife and say, "So you want combo 1?" My wife said yes. Then, my wife asked which kimbab she can choose from. The cashier replied in a hostile tone, "Any kind you want with a protein or not. It's up to you. Anything here." So, my wife said she wanted beef. Then, the cashier proceeded to charge her more than the posted price for combo 1. Naturally , my wife inquired about the reason. The cashier replied, "Because you wanted combo 2 with beef Kimbap." My wife repeated, "I ordered combo 1, and you told me a minute ago that I can pick ANY kimbab. You didn't tell me there was an extra cost."Then, the cashier deliberately gave my wife a dirty look and rolled her eyes. That is the type of bad energy this place serves.Food: the noodles and kimbab taste like they dropped a pound of salt in there. Would never go back there again. There are plenty of other Korean noodle and kimbab places nearby, and we don't recommend anyone else rewarding them for serving such hostility and toxic energy. That cashier must have a miserable life to be treating customers that way.
