Cafe Dulce is a must-try in your visiting Little Tokyo Village in Los Angeles! It's usually super busy, but there's good reason why! Their drinks are all amazing and they also offer a wide range of delicious baked goods. My favorite here is the iced blueberry matcha latte. I have yet to find another place that makes one better! But the selection of donuts and cakes are almost artisanal- interesting flavors and beautiful in presentation!Definitely give it a try!!!

Nothing hits the spot like hot tea during the night. Just finished shopping in little tokyo and decided to go for some. The service was very nice and the cashier (a male with glasses) was very helpful and informative. I ended getting the jasmine tea (nice and aromatic) along with some pastries.Cool spot to check out and one of the only tea spots in that little area

I LOVE Cafe Dulce in Little Tokyo. This little cafe in LA is so good. The Blueberry Matcha is one of my favorite matchas that I have ever had. Customer service is also super friendly and helpful. I made a mistake with my order and they were very understanding. Drinks also come out quick even when theres a big line and its super busy. All the pastries there look so good too and the whole store is very clean. In my most recent visit I ordered the Blueberry Matcha Latte ($5.50) and an extra $1 for Oat Milk. Then also the Red Bean Roti ($3.75).The Blueberry Matcha Latte had a nice matcha flavor that is also not overwhelming. The blueberry flavor you can actually taste too. It's kinda of a weird comparison, but the blueberry part kind of tastes like the blueberry flavor from Kellogg's Eggo Blueberry Waffles. I like how the flavor was sweet, but balanced each other out. The Red Bean Roti had a generous amount of red bean and it was worth getting also. You can't really go wrong with anything at Cafe Dulce. I'd want to come here everytime I go to LA.

If you walk through the Japanese Village Plaza in the morning before most of the other restaurants and shops are open, this place is by far the most crowded, usually with a line out the door. Over the years it seem they have expanded their menu offerings. Before it was primarily a coffee and pastry place, but now they have a more expansive beverage and pastry menu plus hot breakfast items, a lunch menu and a full bakery for whole cakes and what not. I just ordered a couple of delicious doughnuts to go. The strawberry jam one had fresh strawberries inside, while the maple one was topped with macadamia nuts. Service is fairly quick, although there are many folks waiting for their drinks or breakfast orders to be prepared. There is perhaps a little stand-up space inside to eat, plus a few outdoor tables. I do not think the Plaza has any public restrooms, so be aware.

The donut I had here has no business being as good as it was - easily one of the best I've ever had. It was a cinnamon toast crunch donut with a layer of butter underneath, which sounds gross but somehow it was perfection. I also got a blueberry matcha which was decent, but the donut stole the show. You *have* to stop here if you're in Little Tokyo, it's well worth the line.

My review will just be based on the Hong Kong Tea Latte. I got it iced and it was so good! I got my drink pretty quickly so I was in and out of there. There's a couple of stools along the window and some tables and chairs outside. They had a wide assortment of pastries, fancy donuts, and cakes too! But I didn't get any.I'd come back to try their other offerings.

Coffee Shop No. 429Cafe DulceLittle Tokyo L.A., CaliforniaOctober 10, 2024A short stop in L.A. took me to Cafe Dulce in Little Tokyo 's Japanese Village so I could enjoy a cortado with one of my original coffee buddies. After five and half years of living in Japan the people and their culture are very dear to my heart; so visiting a coffee shop in the middle of a Japanese Cultural Center was very nostalgic for me.I definitely enjoyed the cortado made by the friendly baristas. I sat outside on a table sipping my cortado and people watching. A lovely way to spend the morning.

We visited around 3:30pm on a Sunday. It was busy but not extremely crowded. We found parking in the garage directly across the street and paid $15 flat fee. There is street parking and validated parking available as well for cheaper options.Cafe Dulce was easy to find in the Japanese Village Plaza. The inside is small and the line will be out the door since the entry way is small so fear not of the line! It goes by fast. The employees were nice and patient when I ordered my large order. There is perimeter barstool seating inside, approximately 8 people could sit inside. And there are dedicated tables outside as well, about 5 tables that can fit a couple of people each. There is no bathroom available. Hot food is served until 6pm. Breakfast items are available too until 6pm.For drinks, I got the blueberry matcha latte iced and it was amazingly delicious. It was sweet but not overwhelming and I could taste hints of blueberry. We got the donuts right away at the cashier and the drinks were ready within 5 minutes of ordering. The food took about 15 minutes to come out. Here is the ratings for the food/drink:- Blueberry Matcha Latte: 5/5- Ranchera Steak Burrito: 4/5 - very filling and tasted good. The hot sauce it came with was fresh and very spicy- Fruity Pebble Donut: 5/5 - perfect balance of fluffy donut with a thin layer of cream and the fruity pebble sweetness- Maple Macadamian Donut: 5/5 (my favorite!)- Green Tea Donut: 3.5/5- Strawberry Jam Donut: 5/5 (very sweet)- Chocolate Cream Donut: 4/5- Mango Milk Cream Donut: 4/5 - cream heavy but the subtle mango flavor was great!- Cinnamon Toast Crunch: 3.5 - Tasted a bit plain but love the execution of it- Dinosaur Egg: 2/5 - seems like a fan favorite but I did not like the hard outer shell. The inside texture was nice and had the chew of a sourdough bread, the taste was a plain sesame. I enjoyed more of the sweeter treats. Surprisingly, all of this only came out to about $65. That's not bad for specialty donuts, drinks, and two filling meals! Plus the artwork on the box is so cute! Would definitely come back again to try their other sweet treats and sandwiches.

Great place in Little Tokyo to grab a bite, drink, or desserts. With so many options in Little Tokyo Cafe Dulce gives different options like sandwiches, salads when you visit the village. Have some great pastries and a cup of coffee too. Great hot chocolate. Always busy but the service seems great from the staff. Counters inside to enjoy your meal or sit outside where there are tables. One of these days I'll have to try one of the sandwiches so I can sit at the tables or counter.
