Best Al pastor tacos for the price. Nothing else comes close. Get a large horchata to balance the heat and it's good too!

Could somebody at Cactus #1 please explain to me how a burrito that I ordered eight minutes before picking up, is cold by the time I sit down on the curb a block away to eat it? I feel like the only way this can be explained is that you made the burrito with cold ingredients. This place is slipping. I used to really enjoy their food when I moved into the neighborhood, it's been a while since I've been back, but a 19 dollar burrito better be pretty damn near perfect and this thing doesn't even come close. Cold, dry rice, cold meat, cold, french fries, cold tortilla... the thing got tossed to the curb and left me muttering under my breath all the way home.

Years ago, I went to this place. Last night, I ordered delivery and received the perfect vegetarian burrito, the green hot sauce was dreamy. Being a real haute cuisine foodie type, I guess the unpretentious vegetarian burrito is probably my favorite thing in the world to eat. I have had them everywhichwhere and this one was as yummy as they can possibly be.

Killing time before a play nearby and wanted to get a light bite. Ordered two (each) of the hard shelled tacos (beef and chicken). All come with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole on the side. Very tasty but too pricey at 4.00/ea. Limited outdoor seating, but it wasn't very busy due to the time of day and chilly weather out. I would frequent again but this time ordering a larger plate with rice and beans.

Amateur hour. This taco stand, which was Hollywood's best back in the teens, has completely gone down the tubes. The food is below average and the prices are too high for what you get. Last night I explicitly said that I wanted two plates with 5 tacos on each plate. Instead, they made 15 tacos, and charged me for all 15. So they took back the five extra tacos I didn't want and offered me a handwritten IOU because they don't offer refunds. WTF? A few weeks ago, at their other location on Beverly, I ordered fries and they served them in a closed to-go box. So they were limp and soggy even before they left the kitchen. And this wasn't a to-go order either. There's no excuse for a dine-in customer to get soggy fries. These people really are inept. They just don't care about their customers at all.

I try not to write negative reviews but honestly I've been in LA for 8yrs and I don't think I've ever had food so disgusting I had to use mouthwash after a few bites to get rid of the taste. It immediately sent my daughter to the bathroom and it was just bad quality all around. And the worst part is that they do not offer refunds, which is definitely a red flag. The chicken taco I ordered was over loaded with toppings to hide to meat like substance they called chicken. I added a picture here so you can see what they served us. The cheese from the quesadilla was like a jelly substance, the rice was dry and bland. I don't understand how someone could wrap any of that food to someone and say have a good day. Just a waste of money and a meal.

Long ago, I went to the Studio City location. Didn't have the best experience there, didn't have a great experience at this location too.Their California burrito makes me sad. Not only is it smaller than most, but cost a resounding $15.There were about two fries way past it's expiration thrown into the mix. It was like banana brown color instead of a yellow. Kinda disgusting. Everything about this was a shame. The insides were extremely dry such as the rice. The Asada beef hardly tasted fresh, and was maybe from yesterdays grill out. I had to slather the burrito with both red/green salsas because it was so-so dry.At the very least they should have included chips. Comes a la carte.

They close at 10pm, came in at 9:45pm and was told they're closed and I said it's not 10 yet she ignored me and kept cleaning very rude lady with zero customer service skills and growing up in the neighborhood this place used to be super packed I see why it's always empty now very sad. Definitely will never support this business for now on.

BE AWARE!!! This place double charged my credit card!!! It took 4 calls, day and day to FINALLY have them credit me back. On top of that it was $19.25 for a shrimp burrito and a bottle of water!! Prices have gone up everywhere, but this is ridiculous, especially since it wasn't even all that good. Would NEVER go back to this "whole in the wall", shitty place that when they try and rip you off, it takes multiple calls to try and get your money back.Crap food and they're thieves!!!

A Hollywood gem. This is a perfect example of a 'hole in the wall' looking spot but has incredible, yet price conscious food. I've been going here for about 8 years and it's still one of my favorite Mexican spots. Great value overall. The move here is the Super Nachos. They are simply elite. Huge portion of melted cheese as a blanket over the whole plate, nicely marinated asada, beans, very fresh guacamole / tomatoes, & a good portion of sour cream. It's about $15 but enough to fill (2) people and hits the spot every-time. Never had a bad experience ordering this. (Had it atleast 200+ times now). 5/5Honorable mentions are the taco combo plates that include rice, melted cheese on refried beans, & a small salad. Fills you up & offers a nice variety to keep your taste buds happy. Particularly the asada, pastor & carnitas are very good. The shrimp taco & cheese enchiladas are also great options. All 5/5Service is usually pretty fast because there's not much of a line (usually). The ladies at the window are always so nice & pleasant to deal with. Definitely don't sleep on this spot if you're craving Mexican.
