Sarah R. "Sugar Taco is one of my favorite spots to grab food in LA!! I've literally had almost everything on their menu at this point. Burritos, tacos, nachos, churro donuts - I love it all! Like I love it so much that I usually order two meals for myself so I can have more the next day. My go-to protein is the carne asada but I also love the pollo. I also feel like everything is reasonably priced for such quality, plant-based food. The restaurant itself is insanely cute and beautifully decorated - capturing the fun, instagram-worthy vibe of LA mixed with the vibrance of Mexican culture. Presentation is flawless! Plus, staff have always been fab! Occasionally I've had to wait longer for pickup than the estimated time so just something to keep in mind.Sugar Taco is the full package and I recommend it to everyone. My whole family has fallen in love. Can't wait for my next Sugar Taco stop!"

Alexis M. "Curry Kingdom has some of the best food I have ever tried. I wish my boyfriend brought me here sooner. It's a tiny restaurant so seats are limited so take out might be the best option. We got lucky and got a seat before a rush came. We ordered garlic and cheese naan, saag paneer, and chana masala. Everything was delicious. We got the food at a medium heat which was still very spicy. Just know if you think you like spicy food I would go down a spice level because it gets very very hot."

Linda W. "Kabob bowl is a SOLID option if you want a clean, healthy meal that also tastes delicious and of good quality.I typically order the chicken bowl for $10; you can customize the base with rice or salad or a mix of both, and then you get to pick 2 sides from their list to go with your chicken. For sides, I enjoy the roasted vegetables and the shizrahi most. The bean stew is also good but better when you order a plate instead of bowl, because then they give it to you in a small cup rather than douse it over your entire bowl of rice. I've also ordered their wraps before which was also tasty but not quite as good as the bowls. Perfect spot for lunch!! Delicious, clean, healthy Mediterranean food. Also, can you beat the price at $10?!"

Vivien C. "The chef here has gifted tastebuds. We came for some late night bites. After eating here, we realized this ought to have been our main course. As non vegetarians our bias led us astray from the clear winner, Veggie House! The chickn satay was so good. Frankly the images do not allow this to appear a 1/8 as good as it tastes. The fresh rolls, full of an assortment of veggies, not just 2-3 like some spots, were also delicious. They were massive as well. The menu says 2 fresh rolls, but consider it 4 standard fresh rolls. Two sauces were provided to choose from, generous enough you will not run out of either, if selecting only one. The first was a standard yummy peanut sauce. The second was a remarkable clear sauce made up of cilantro, basil and some [insert amazing combo I could not dream up1]. I wanted to take this sauce home, purchase it regularly, indefinitely. Wow.Highly recommend this spot to any and all enjoy Thai. You will not find disappointments nor mediocrity here!"

Alison C. "I really wanted a donut so I got the bread pudding here. 5/5 for the dessert! Thick, warm, chewy, not too sticky for the teeth, and filling! The crab cakes and garlic noodles are almost too flavorful for me (3/5). They nailed texture for both, but I can't have too many bites without taking a break. I think I'm going to add some leftover shrimp to the noodles and rice to eat with the cakes. The staff is always really nice when I've come so while this is not usual my go-to, it does satisfy my cravings and I'm never dissatisfied when I make the choice to come here!"

If you are looking for good food at a reasonable price, this is the place. LOVE their food. The first time I came here, the person who served me was very nice and explained things to me nicely. The second time I came here, a different person served me, and she was rude and didn't like explaining things to me. She was so rude; I considered not coming back. Their free parking lot isn't that great especially if a person doesn't know how to park their car properly. There's metered parking in front of this establishment."

An incredible meal and probably the only thing on life that is getting better with age."

Sara P. "My husband and I came to Mother Tongue for a pre-concert dinner - our second date night since having our baby, who's already 15 months old! This spot made it feel like such a treat. The lumpiang sariwa was refreshing and perfectly balanced with a beautiful crunch and delicious sauce. The mushroom risoni was another favorite - light despite the cream sauce, and the burrata incorporated into the dish was such a unique touch. The roasted Spanish octopus was tender served with spirulina mole verde that had a surprising kick of heat, which I loved. The only miss for me was the roasted Mary's farm duck "arroz de pato." The duck was beautifully cooked, but the dish leaned salty, and the rice had a bit too much going on for my taste. Maybe I should've known from the menu description, but it didn't quite land for me.Desserts, though? Amazing. The yuzu panna cotta and tapioca pudding were some of the best I've had in a while - not too sweet, just perfectly balanced.Mother Tongue made our rare night out feel special. Even if not every dish was perfect for me, the creativity, bold flavors, and execution make this place a spot I'd happily return to for another night of discovery."

Whatever it is, it's fabulous. We had the sushi ceviche with a sweet Thai sauce with onions tomatoes and fresh avocado. The Nord noodles was so good, we finished that too. Just a mound of deliciousness. The yellow curry was full of coconut flavor and the Tom yum soup had plenty of mushrooms in it. The ambiance is nice too with cool vibes including the music. Service was efficient. We'll be back!"

"It had been a couple of years since I ate there and decided to give it another try, the first time it was OK, three stars worth, but this time the food and menu were way better...easy five stars! It's located in the All Season's Brewery. You can order ahead online or place your order while you're sippin' some suds. Either way, you won't have to wait long for your food and you'll be mighty happy when you get it!I had a market burrito with peppered steak. It was super good, and it seemed like a healthy burrito, not all gooey with too much cheese, etc. It wasn't gigantic, but it was plenty filling. I think healthier food is much more satisfying and this is a really good burrito. My friend had tacos, one beef, and one chicken. He loved both of them. They have street corn on the menu, I had to try it. I'm super glad I did because it's fantastic!! It was about $5 and well worth every bite. They have a nice menu of pizzas, bowls, tacos, wings, quesadillas, dirty fries, agua frescas, etc Lynn, the manager is super nice and the chef is awesome. A big yes to Chicas Tacos. You'll want to plan on eating there when you're at All Seasons for a brew with your friends. You'll all be really happy you did!"

Sarah S. "The best Thai food I've had in a long while and it's vegetarian at that. Bonus for my plant based friends. If you have never tried their corn fritters, you're really missing out. They are huge, crispy, and just have amazing flavor. I hear they are even better with sweet and sour sauce so I'll need to try that next time. $10 and this yummy appetizer is vegan.Their pad thai has excellent flavor, better than a lot of places I've tried in the city. Perfect noodles and accompaniments. My only small gripe is the tofu in the pad thai was huge. For most people, I'm sure they'd love a big ol' inch by inch piece. I like the smaller pieces, so just personal preference.I actually have never had Mee Krob before and ended up loving it from Bulan Thai. The vermicelli was so crispy and whatever that house sauce is that they're tossed in, *chef's kiss*! So darn good. Thai Iced Coffee is nice and sweet for a little treat, as well.So to sum up, I had delivery from Bulan Thai and loved it. I would def try them again and venture into more of the menu."

Green Leaves is capable of concocting something I never would be able to conceive in my wildest dreams. The thought of Vegan is not so appealing to me, but what Green Leaves is able to achieve in their food is beyond my comprehension.Their fried chicken skewers taste like chicken, and have the crispiest, most delicious texture to them. They also do a PHENOMENAL job with the curry. I can do Thai food at home, but this is an experience worth traveling for. My father is vegetarian. If I ever go to LA with him, I'm bringing him here."

The food was well seasoned and I personally liked the avocado lime tartar the most. It was so fresh. I would have liked the 1000 layer crispy potatoes if it were crispy but it still was well seasoned. The crispy falafel bits, aged cheddar, butternut squash and marinated beets combined with the maple mustard vinaigrette make the perfect savory and sweet combination. Truly the most satisfying salad!!!The Summer Salad Rolls are also super satisfying and filling, and I love that they come with a few different sauces. I almost always order delivery, so I can't say a lot for the ambiance, but for a to-go spot, this salad can't be beat. Joe S. "While in Hollywood to see a friend perform, I was walking to my car and spotted an Indian Restaurant I was not familiar with so I looked it up on Yelp (as I always do) and decided to give it a try. It was a small place with a handful of booths. There weren't many customers but it was also a little early for most people to have dinner. When the employee came out to seat me, I was shocked to see that it was Sahan. I knew him from my favorite Indian restaurant in Studio City where he used to be a server. It turns out he left that restaurant to open his own place. Lucky me!The menu contained many of the usual items you'd find at any Indian restaurant. But it also contained several items that were a mashup of Indian and Mexican foods, something I'd never seen before. But I chose to stay traditional and order some of my favorites. I chose the Samosas, Chicken Jalfrezi and Garlic Naan. The Samosas were delicious. They were filled with the usual mix of potato, peas and spices in a crispy, triangular dough and accompanied by the usual tamarind based sauce and a cilantro based sauce. The Chicken Jalfrezi lived up to my expectations and was cooked in a tomatoey sauce with onions, bell peppers, serrano chiles and a hint of ginger. I've had this dish in many restaurants and their version is one of my top two favorites. The naan was fantastic and had a nice char on it. Sahan surprised me with rice pudding for dessert which was a nice finish to the meal.I am beyond excited to have found this place. I'm often in this area and will be returning on a regular basis. Sahan is the ultimate host and provided excellent service and I look forward to returning so I can try some of the Indi-Mex mashups in addition to the more traditional offerings. Great job Sahan!!"
