"Small restaurant with convenient free parking in the area, very friendly service. The food is on a little sweeter side but good. I look forward to come back again soon to try other dishes."
"Surprised that place only has a three star rating. We can on a Sunday afternoon and we were the only party in the entire rerstaurant. We had came because we saw here on Yelp that they had Stuffed Angel Wings, but sadly when we arrived and tried to order it, the lady said they were out of it. :(I had the Spicy Noodle (known as Drunken Noodle) and it came out fresh and delicious! I ended up eating the entire plate, it was that good! Freshly prepared noodles with chicken tossed together with spices and sauce to add that heat, delicious! The other dishes the rest of my party ordered were delicious as well, all freshly made with great flavor and decent sized portions too!Took a star off because they didn't end up having what we came for which was the Stuffed Angel Wings.Other than that, would recommend giving them a try if you are in the area for Thai food!"
Served with dried shrimp and tofu flavors. Flavors is sweet-savory fusion, salty and nutty.

"Our new fave thai place AGAIN. We stopped going cos we found a closer place khun dang but then khun dang became too busy and pricy so we went back and the krua thai pad thai is a must!"
"Food is real Thai food made by actual Thai people. Not that there's anything wrong with other races making other people's food, I'm just saying in terms of authenticity. And they're open late af which is pretty damn clutch when you don't want to resort to fast food or Denny's.The negative reviews you see about this place are based off of deliveries and people who have their taste buds out of whack. Stop slandering this food like you know all about it because you don't know how to cook top ramen properly at home."
"After 5 visits, I can confidently say that this is my go-to spot for Pad Thai (which I don't really order much of at other places because they tend to be sweet) and Kra Pao. Pad Thai's well balanced in flavor. Noodles still chewy. The toppings are LEGIT. Kra Pao spice level is great. I used to ask for Thai Medium Spicy (yes, there's a difference between US and Thai spice levels) and now I don't even have to because it's on point. Ambiance makes you feel like you're in Thailand. Service is absolutely amazing all the time too."
"My sister and I visited Nat's Thai Food just a few days ago. This was the closest food place to our hotel. Despite the mixed reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were greeted by a super welcoming older Asian lady. She gave us a genuine smile and offered us the menu. We were the only ones there. My sister got the yellow curry and I ordered the green curry with spring rolls. Although the lady that took our order was the only one there, she cooked our food very fast. The food was DELICIOUS! The spring rolls were crunchy on the outside but soft inside. My green curry had a very generous amount of tofu. :) Both of the curries were OUTSTANDING but they were both super hot. I highly recommend them both, just be careful not to burn yourself. We also got white rice to go with our curry. It was so good! If I have not made it obvious by now, I loved this place! The food was reasonably priced and I would definitely visit this hidden gem again if I am ever close to it. At the end, the lady handed our food with a very warm smile, which was the cherry on the cake. Definitely recommended!"
"Visited this auspicious place tonight! Ordered the Thai hot wings (not hot but delicious), veggie pancake (my favorite, wish I would have ordered two), shrimp rolls, Rangoons and crabmeat fried rice. Everything was delicious, I'm sad I reside in a different county because I would be here at least twice a week. Service was on point as well. I look forward to returning and trying their other dishes. Highly recommend this place."
"Never had a bad experience here. Everybody is so nice, the food is reasonably priced, and most importantly, it's super consistent. Love this place and supporting local businesses!"
"Neighborhood spot for Thai. Always great food and service. This place doesn't get too busy inside but lots of takeout activity."
"One of my favorite Thai spots in LA! The richness in flavor in every dish is unparalleled. They use real ingredients, not just spices- to give that authentic Thai flavor. We always order for takeout but we came in today for a quick lunch and really felt the Thai vibes! The food is just as good in house vs for take out. Love this place! Give it a try if you havnt."
"I don't get the bad reviews here. this place was BOMB. it was even on diners, drive ins, and dives!!! to start off, service was great, the waitress was very nice and we got our food in a timely fashion. the inside of the place is lovely and has many traditional Thai decorations as well as news articles mentioning the restaurant.we ordered the pad thai with shrimp, green curry with shrimp, crying tiger beef, and thai iced tea. the pad thai was very unique, honestly I had never had a pad thai like this one before. i loved it. the green curry was amazinggg and wasnt watery and had great flavor! beef was good but not totally my fav, and the thai iced tea was strong and sweet and wasnt overloaded with ice (aka perfect). i really liked this place and I hope to be back again!!"
"Ordered takeout couple of nights ago, as it was my first time trying this place out, and everything I ordered was amazing! The taste of pad Thai and pad see ew noodles tasted delicious! Will definitely come back and try out more food!"

Keep Calm and Eat Thai Food. And it's Friday the 13th!! Booo! Lol.Thai Original BBQ restaurant is a small and modest restaurant in Thai town of LA. They are located along Hollywood blvd. I have been on this restaurant five years ago. And after an arduous search of a good Thai restaurant. Alas, I am back! Their exterior may be a consternation on thy eyes but don't let that fool you because they serve good food, fast service, huge portion at an affordable price. I ordered their Chicken Satay with salad and fried rice and lemonade. And it was tasty, soft and the sweet dipping sauce was bloody brilliant. I couldn't stop dipping into it like my side chicks. Haha! Anyways, staff was decorous, competent and attentive; service was fast and on point. Indoor vibe was modest and perfect for commoners to dine-in like myself. Parking lot is limited to ten motors. Overall, it's a humble and good place for a quick Lunch or Dinner. I royally recommend this little Thai BBQ restaurant.

At first I was hesitant to try this restaurant due to the B rating by the health department, but because it is very close to where I live I decided to give it a try anyway. I would classify it as a good option although not great. It's very small on the inside, only a couple tables available and they don't have outdoor seating. There isn't a dedicated parking lot although street parking is fairly easy to find in this part of town. Our server was polite, but it took quite some time to get his attention for drink refills and to get the check even though there were only two other tables occupied when we were dining in. Mostly the orders we saw were to-go so it seems like they specialize in to-go orders more than customers dining in.I would say the food is fine, it had some nice flavors, but I've had a lot better recently. For this first visit, we started with the Chicken Satay, which actually was pretty nice although I just had Mr. Chow and those were significantly better. Next came Tom Kha Soup with shrimp and I thought this one was fairly good. It was just as expected and probably the best thing that I tried. For my entrée I chose the Beef Pad See Ew and it had some nice flavors although as mentioned, I've had better versions recently. Everything was pretty greasy and it just didn't taste as fresh as the version I had previously. The meat was a little overcooked and honestly, I think it could've just been done better.Overall a pretty good Thai restaurant that would be a good call if you are in a rush or are in the area. Not the sort of place I would suggest for your birthday, but you could definitely do worse.

It's been a while since we stopped off here. As we were in the neighborhood, popped in for a bite. Menu is still as it was from previous years but quantity has decreased quite a bit. Food doesn't take long to arrive but is always hot and fresh when brought out. Also, time seemed to have changed as they tend to close early even on a Saturday night. I remember being here after the bars but now it seemed to be closed pretty early. Food, from what we've ordered was good. The curry now is half of what they used to bring out. The soup, pipping hot when it comes out. The fried fish was great with the Thai chili sauce on the side. Pad see ew, good and flavors was great.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit Thai Town in LA. It's not very big, but located right in front of Silom Supermarket on evenings. There are a few street vendors setup just like if you were actually in Thailand. I'm really enjoying the vibe of this place and glad my friend recommended it to me. We parked in the lot next door, which is $3 for 90 minutes. We tried two of the stalls, which included a Pad See Ew ($10), Thai Boat Noodle ($7), and two Chrysanthemum drinks ($2 each). You do get a buzzer to be alerted when your food is ready, but they also call out your order. We got our food within 5-10 minutes.Although the price is pretty cheap, the portions are pretty small too. It does make for good sharing, so you can try more items though. I would recommend 2 dishes per person, but we weren't too hungry so this was perfect. I loved the flavors in both the pad see ew and Thai boat noodles; would definitely order both again.Delicious food and great vibes. This is definitely something you need to try in LA to get a little taste of Thailand.

Top 3 Thai restaurants in CA! Other two. 1. Buena Park 2. Van Nuys I'm a food snob and a chef trainee. Trust me when I say that this is the place you want to visit when in Hollywood! Another unforgettable thing about this place is the hospitality! The Thai woman that works here is so nice that you feel like your back home in your own small town where you always get greeeted by your best friend who's from Thailand or Asia with their cute little restaurant where they serve you what they know! I always get the Thai broccoli stir fry with steamed rice and shrimp with Thai tea or water. Or pad Thai! That's it!

This review is receiving 3 starts due to the cleaning product smell inside, the difficulty of finding a parking spot, and the average- good food. When I see a yelp place with so many great reviews I get excited because I feel that there's some guarantee that the food is going to be above average however sadly that was not my experience at this place. To be fair the staff were so sweet and amazing which made the experience very enjoyable but I wish I could say the food wowed me. I circled around 5-6 times to find parking on a long strip of both sides of the street and nothing. I eventually found parking about 2 blocks away and was picked up by a friend. So if you have accessibility issues maybe getting dropped off might be the best solution. We walk in and are immediately greeted by the smell of cleaning products which i personally dislike because i expect a restaurant to smell like food and the smell kind of ruins the experience for me. We sat down quickly as there was no one inside( most people seem to order delivery or pick up). We order Tom Kha, crab Rangoon, fresh coconut juice and mango sticky rice. The coconut water in the fresh coconut was definitely 5/5 might return just for that. The soup was good but average it was lacking in flavor. The crab Rangoon were also not the best I've had. The mango sticky rice was very dry so not sure if it was sitting there for long or not. It was good but not great. Not sure if will be returning to this place. And to be fair their other items might be better tasting.

Lunch Today: Tahntawan Thai is one of my favorite neighborhood Thai restaurants! I'm here quite often, as they make some of my favorite dishes.Thai Eggplant & Pumpkin: Blows my mind every time, alongside a side of rice! The sautéed combo of veggies with garlic chili sauce has my tastebuds dancing nonstop! Haha! One of my absolute favorites!!Vegan Burrito: My order today! So good, it's flavorful, delicious & just packed with goodness; veggies, brown rice & an avocado all wrapped up like a warm embrace! Though it includes delicious homemade green sauce, I also absolutely love the peanut sauce. (extra $1.25 & absolutely worth it! They make it in-house!) Veggie Pad Thai: Delicious, glossy, flavorful & always hits the spot, packed with colorful veggies!Delicious: Other favorites are the Thai iced tea, papaya salad and Tom Kha soup...so good!Decor: So cute & colorful! I've dined both inside & outside! Outdoors is my favorite, because I can always appreciate fresh air, the colorful scenery, sitting under one of the striped umbrellas & seeing the tall palm trees sway!Customer Service: CK is a whole vibe, so friendly & puts her heart & soul into the restaurant. She's so sweet, attentive & we always have fun conversations, including talking about Thailand, where she's originally from. Imagine my surprise when one day I ordered delivery & her car pulls up at my place, so fun to see each other. We both screamed OMG in surprise & happiness! Haha!Overall: Love this place & that explains why I visit often! Great customer service, flavorful dishes & the cute location up high on the second floor keeps me coming back for more!

"I've tried many things here .. some have been flops and the others have been staples ... I suggest for appetizer getting the money bags .. for entrees I stick with the yellow chicken curry .. so good and flavorful .. my friend gets the seafood soup and loves it from here .. service is always impeccable and the ambiance is great , it's usually pretty chill.. they have karaoke nights and sometimes it can get packed so if you like a more chill ambiance skip those nights"
"The hype is real. I was always put off by this place since I read that parking is rough in this area. Surprisingly for doing a pickup on Friday at 7pm, free street meter parking (since it's free after 6pm) was plentiful. I think it was due to the NY holiday where the out-of-towners aren't taking up space. I placed an order online and drove over. The order still wasn't ready so I had to wait a couple of minutes.I got a number of dishes. The portions aren't that big so it's a bit pricey but the quality is there. Overall, the flavors are sweeter but they pack more of a punch and are very flavorful. I loved the deep soy sauce flavor of the pad see ew. The moo krob was just okay; I wanted this to be crispier. The shrimp yellow curry was unique and didn't taste like a curry I've had before; the shrimp was plump. The Tom Yum also had deeper flavors with tons of aromatics. The crispy rice salad was a bit of a downer and was too vinegary. This spot doesn't serve your typical Thai flavors and delivers something extra. You must be warned though that my tummy did have some troubles a few days after."
"They have a small parking structure in the back that does fill up quickly but there is also plenty of parking on the street. Small underrated Thai food establishment with enough table space to fit groups of more than 4. It is not usually crowded, most people order take out. All their food tastes authentic and home made and not overly greasy. We always order pad Thai, pad see ew, fried rice, Tom yum & mango sticky rice. What I love most about this place is that their food is ALWAYS consistent and delicious Also their Thai iced tea is perfectly sweetened and not too sweet. If you're looking for good Thai food or a cute place for a quiet dinner date on a weekend I 100% recommend checking them out."
"This is our favorite neighbor Thai spot. While we have dined in before, we prefer delivery or pick up. The inside of this place is tiny.Their soups are delicious. I love the sour tang of the Tom Yum Soup but we find ourselves ordering the Tom Kha Soup often as well. Both have very flavorful broths and are packed with veggies and a meat of your choice. Perfect for sick days or when winter starts to roll in. The Special BBQ Pork is a favorite of ours as well. Its grilled and served with a vibrant "special sauce." We have enjoyed our meals every time we have eaten at Monster Thai. The food is cooked fresh and delivery arrives pretty quickly."
"What a find! Just delicious and excellent quality Thai food right in the neighborhood. They are not afraid of a little spice so be careful :-)I think it's all take-out so not much to say about service/ambiance. Basically just about the great food. Let's support this local business!"
"This is a great place for family style lunch or dinner! We found this place during an out of the office work meeting. With so much variety in the menu, we were able to select a variety of dishes to share and explore new items. The service was prompt and excellent. Parking was easily available as well. We ordered the following:* Spring Rolls* Hawaiian Fried Rice* Beef Broccoli * Orange Chicken* Chicken Pad ThaiOur order arrived quickly and was served piping hot. We all enjoyed our lunch and left satisfied. I know you will too.Enjoy your visit!"
"tl;Dr - skip the Thai tea, the chicken egg roll bun had onion skin in it but flavor was good, fried pork loaf for the win! I am immunocompromised so I only got this for delivery through GrubHub. So I wish I could tell you what the ambiance and stuff like that was but all you'll get is the information on the food. :) First, the food arrived hot and fresh which is great as sometimes with delivery, the food can be lukewarm. -_-I'll start with the bad and end with the good. The Thai tea was tooooooooooo sweet for me. I thinned it out with more milk and it was still too sweet so even though I upgraded to get a 32oz tea, I ended up throwing it away. So basically $11 down the drain as they upcharged for no ice as I was planning on drinking it later and did not want ice to water down the tea. Thai Tea is a definite pass for me.They also made a mistake in the food or the menu on GH was wrong as I got the chicken egg rolls bun which was a dollar more than other items. I thought that it was because it said it came with shrimp. Sadly mine was missing the shrimp. Color me sad as I was looking forward to the shrimp and the egg rolls. BUT, these egg rolls were huge and the flavor was decent. They were not the smooth skin egg rolls, these were the bumpy egg roll skin which I was not expecting as I am used to the egg rolls having the smooth skin. Not a big deal though. The reason why I took off another star was that I found an onion skin in my dish. Color me sad as I was enjoying it until I found that onion skin as I was not sure what might've been on the skin vs the edible part of the onion. And since I have to be really careful with my health, I stopped eating it immediately as onion skin can have contact with dirt which would also have fertilizer in it that might carry things that are not good for me. -___-This was very disappointing as I was enjoying the dish even though I was missing the shrimp. So color me very very sad and disappointed. Now my most favorite thing was seeing that they had a deep fried pork loaf which I absolutely love!! I was so excited to get this dish and let me tell ya... This dish was sooooooo good!! LOVED IT!! yes imagine me drooling while having heart eyes. LolSo I most likely will pass on everything else but when I am craving pork loaf, I'll be ordering from here as that was delicious!"
"I recently dined at Kinkan near Silverlake for their Omakase lunch, and it was a memorable experience. Parking was a bit of a challenge in the area, but we eventually found street parking. We arrived a little early, and since the restaurant wasn't open yet, we waited outside with another couple.Once the doors opened, we were seated at the intimate counter, which only has about 10 seats. There are also tables that can seat around 20 people. Chef Nan was present throughout lunch, and she made the experience even better with her engaging and friendly demeanor. As for the food, everything was delicious and flowed beautifully from course to course. I was particularly surprised by how well the crab curry and shumai worked together--those ended up being my favorite dishes of the meal. The curry was unbelievably good!We decided to upgrade our Chirashi bowl by adding Uni, which was a fantastic decision. It was my first time watching a chef make one, and I was amazed at how much time and effort goes into creating such a complex bowl. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying both options on the menu that day. The mango sticky rice ice cream bar was definitely the star--so creative and full of flavor. The mochi waffle with ice cream, while enjoyable, didn't impress as much.Overall, I'm eager to return to Kinkan for dinner, and I wouldn't mind coming back for lunch either. The quality of the food and the thoughtful progression of the meal really stood out."
"Great service!!! Delicious food.We went for our friend's birthday. The decor is pretty. All kind of tasty drink.Staff is very friendly and helpful.Highly recommend!!"
"Discovered Siam Sunset via an Eater article, and I'm very happy that I did! It was an excellent recommendation. We decided to get lunch takeout from here yesterday and it did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each was delicious and flavorful. I would definitely come back. The menu items I got to try included the Hainan Chicken, Roasted Duck Curry, Roasted Duck Noodle Soup, and Spicy Pork Basil. My favorites were the Hainan Chicken and Roasted Duck Curry. The restaurant itself was very busy when I arrived, which is a good sign. After trying the food, I know why!"
"I had a nice time here at Melanee Thai. The food is really tasty and fresh. The service is very chill but still professional. The ambiance is really cute, clean and fresh.5 stars."
"Wow! The food here is amazing! The coconut soup and Tom Yum were absolutely delicious--packed with flavor and so comforting. We also tried the Pad Thai with shrimp and some boba, and everything was sooo good! Highly recommend this spot for authentic and tasty Thai food. We'll definitely be coming. Also it's a Small little cozy place!"
"I went to the restaurant for a Xmas work lunch. Our server, Jack was so awesome and very attentive. Everyone at the table loved his service and positivity. The food was so fresh and so tasty. Everyone was so pleased with the food and service. I would definitely recommend and come back for lunch or dinner."
"I would highly recommend this place! Super funky decor. And the staff are cool and nice. Great service! The green curry + brown rice is THE BEST! That rice is 1000 times yummier than the white rice. Is really flavorful and almost chewy. Def go to Toi if you're in the area!"
"Apple was our kind and informative server - The Hidden Treasures was definitely a favorite for all of us (Apple's fave) - and we all ordered curries, which were delicious. And the lychee martini is MAGIC! We will be returning to this quieting, yummy, delicious spot! Thanks Apple!"
"Lacha Somtum is a relaxed, modern authentic Thai restaurant offering a wide range of soups, noodle dishes, stir-fries & curries. They're located at the heart of LA's Thai Town. L.Somtum's flavor and northeastern styled food make them stand out compared to other nearby thai restaurant. I came here as a first time customer to grab a quick lunch. I was warmly greeted by a female staff. And I was seated fairly quickly. They have a plethora of food and drinks to choose from. After 5 mins or so of perusing their menu, I ended up ordering a Pad Woon Sen + Shrimps and Thai Iced Tea. Food was delightful, flavorful and fresh. Drink was well sweet. Indoor vibe was quite relaxing and plenty of natural light. Service was swift and on point. Staff were cordial and professional. Prices were fair and competitive. Street and metered parking available. Overall, I had a good dine-in experience and enjoyed their thai food. I recommend this restaurant."
"Um, yeah, actually F**k yeah. The pad se ew was on point, had the PAD SE EW chicken with fried tofu [the friend tofu is an add on, thank me later] padkrapow and pork Jerky. TAKE.ME.BACK!"
"Parking is difficult to find in the area. There is street parking available; however, difficult to obtain. We were able to park in the neighborhood around 6:30 PM, but we did circle around for quite a long time till we found parking. The food portion is quite big and delicious. We got medium spice on all of our entrees. We had ordered drunken noodles with chicken, Tom Yum with combination seafood (fish, mussels, shrimp, etc.), and the roasted duck pineapple curry (comes with a side of white rice). All of these meals were delicious and served piping hot ! My favorite was the drunken noodles. The spice does have quite a hit and is very filling. The space itself is quite small, so if you have a party larger than 2 I would call in for a reservation. The service is wonderful. We will definitely be back!"
"Have been eatting here for 20 years since it used to be My Thai. We definitely have our favorites such as the red curry, Tom ka kah, but I wish the chicken had more flavours, the protein lacks flavour and the texture is dry, instead I get everything veggie base and am happy. Cashew chicken though is definitely one of our favorites."
"Foods were a total bomb! We'll definitely be back for more!Service was stellar. Ideal for a small group of friends."
"I've never thought to mix curry and udon before, but let me tell you, it is delicious! While mostly a take out place, you can eat in as well. I went in and my husband had the pad thai sukhothai with crispy pork which was really good as well. They also have pho and banh minhs as well. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes."
"Yay, yay, yay! I love finding a hidden gem. My friends and I ended up here after a few drinks at the Drawing Room. The italian place had a line out the door and we were too hungry and a bit too tipsy to wait. We decided to try out Tub Tim Siam and it was DELICIOUS. All three plates ordered were gold. The server was lovely and kind with our loud party. Wine and beer available."
"I've been coming to Thai Patio and Thai Town sister businesses here in the New Hollywood Plaza for a long time. It's one of my favorites for many reasons. Try the spicy seafood soup which features about fifty dollars worth of premium seafood. It is served in a flaming pot and it has cured quite a few colds for me and my friends. Five stars. Be adventurous and give the traditional Thai dishes a shot, like the wild boar. You can choose from numerous vegetarian and vegan options as nearly the entire four page menu can be made with fried or steamed tofu instead of meat. Thai Patio has been featuring local live musicians and late night eats for a long time. A true story about Thai Town USA and poem to follow. Skip to the end or bypass if that's not your thing. Come here for the great food, service and value. I started coming here in the late nineties when I was a teenager in a rock band. Back then, the Hollywood music scene was incredible but we didn't have Uber or Lyft to help us make it home safely. To help people in Hollywood get home safely, and reduce automotive fatalities, a few Thai restaurants in the area opened their doors after the bars and clubs closed. My band loved the lifesaving efforts from the Thai community and this restaurant, so we came here every day before rehearsal and recommended this restaurant to our fans to make sure they made it home. Once upon a time there was a handicapped and disabled person who failed a field sobriety test due to her handicaps. And though she passed a few blood alcohol tests, it was difficult to explain she was blind where her field test was given. She thought about cashing with a lawsuit in honor of disabled people but at the height of the pandemic there was something much more important. In honor of George Floyd, she collected signatures from criminals who took credit for their actions and asked to forward their support for better treatment to people of color and with disabilities in a signed letter to a judge. The white career criminals who turned themselves in for their actions in honor of a black man is my personal favorite part of that story. This seems like a beautiful place to leave a poem. A love story. A love story about making it home safely. Cheers Yelp! The best and only place to leave my favorite stories and poems!Peace and love to Thai Patio and Thai Town USA.
