"Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, phenomenal atmosphere. A true hidden gem in weho. I took my mom here for a special birthday, and when I say the staff rolled out the red carpet - I truly mean it.I will certainly be a repeat diner!"
"There's no way the Rooftop would be less than five stars and five star service! My boyfriend and I went twice in 2024 and both experiences were like night and day because, we went once during a summer's day and once during a winter's night. Reservations are easily available through Opentable and parking is exclusively valet. Take the elevator to the top and go nuts looking at that view! Walk by that pool and Cabana...and get seated with a lovely view. For our daytime meal, he got a keto style salmon salad and I enjoyed my exquisite Benedict. Coffee and drinks were amazing, as was the service. For our nighttime double date, we noshed on some Guacamole with plantains before our meals. He had the Chicken Katsu as I got the Chicken Shwarma - served in pita breads presented like tacos! They were a bit dry, but I still enjoyed them. Last were sorbets which are amazing and don't disappoint! Try to make room for these before you go. And I know, I'll be back again!"

"Delicious sushi, friendly staff, perfect vibes. The otoro and salmon sushi were both delicious. The restaurant is small inside, but in a cozy way. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family."
"This was hands down the best burger I have had in a long long time! Super simple but the real deal, you know? And this is because unlike a lot of these over ambitious burgers that come with onion rings, and bbq sauce, and all other kinds of distractors that ultimately leaves one with a big disappointing mess, this is just an honest burger. You walk in and you decided of you want a double double or not and thats it. 5 mins later the best burger comes out. It looks good. It smells good. And most importantly it tastes hella good! I will be back!"
"Food, service and ambiance were impeccable. We came here for lunch and were so impressed with the quality of food and hospitality. The bento box is must with a selection of sashimi/nigiri. Everything is cook to order, fresh and delish especially the nigiri. We also loved the lychee ice cream with bits of lychee. As a souvenir, we got Kombu matchbox, it's a cute keepsake. Michael was very kind and hospitable."
"Decent dim sum experience! Stopped in on a Monday night about an hour before close, so we got seated right away. The vibe is warm with all the red coloring and wood throughout the restaurant. We ordered the Juicy Roulette (one of each of the various soup dumplings on the menu); the sticky rice with chicken and Chinese sausage; chicken shumai (fyi these are HUGE); the mini pan-fried pork soup dumplings; and the spicy chicken and shrimp wontons. Everything was tasty and you will absolutely leave full. We checked in on Yelp and got a complimentary order of the crispy scallion pancake. The staff were also kind enough to bring out a complimentary order of Bao Milk Buns for dessert and they were SO good (low-key my fave part of the whole meal). Our server was really lovely. Street parking only."
"Dan modern Chinese is a somewhat new take on traditional Chinese food. It is all great. It is a small chain and each one is great. We like this one. It is so clean and super cute and comfortable. It can get crowded, but they will get you seated without too long a wait. We try to stick to weeknights. You can also get take away or have it delivered. They have hand-made dumplings and hand made noodles. You have to try both. This is not fast food Chinese. It is the best. The food is all so fresh and just so tasty. For starters try the scallion pancake with soy ginger dipping sauce. Their popcorn shrimp with toasted garlic, green onions, and cilantro is some of the best we have ever had. Their handmade dumplings with pork are just the best. All of their dumplings are made fresh and you will wait 30 minutes for them so order them right away. They are some of the best you will ever have, I mean ever. You also must have their shrimp with crab sauce. It has shrimp, crab, garlic, ginger, and wonderful green onions. Their short rib dan mein and their shrimp dan mein is so good. They are prepared with snow pea leaves, shiitake mushrooms, and an amazing garlic sauce and all their noodles are hand made. The service is just great. You feel at home there. It is a lovely place."
"After living in LA for 4 years, I can count the number of times I've had delicious pho in Los Angeles on one hand.I was worried this would be another gentrified Vietnamese spot, but it had been TOO long since I've had authentic Vietnamese and I needed my fix!First impression: Well priced, beautiful presentation, and an elevated take on classic Vietnamese dishes. We ordered the crab spring rolls and brisket banh cuon to start. I absolutely loved their take on the classic banh cuon. The sliced red chili peppers on top gave it a nice kick and each piece had a healthy portion of tender brisket. For the main, we ordered the butcher and filet pho. Each slice of meat was tender and the broth was fragrant, flavorful, and most importantly authentic!Me will most definitely be back to try the rest of the menu"
"Wow in the short time Saltie Girl has been open in LA they've quickly become known for their lobster roll and now I know why! A traditional New England bun absolutely stuffed with delicious, warm, fresh lobster. I have always loved the claw meat, and they did not skimp on it. My only regret was eating it too quickly. Best lobster I have had on the west coast, of course this originally Boston-based restaurant has it in the bag. Their fries were good, but the salt and vinegar homemade chips were even better. Ordered the burrata and caviar which was really good too. Very liberal use of the olive oil which may have taken away from the mild flavor of the burrata but no complains from me. The "strawberry" tequila drink was delicious as well. Everything came out very quickly and our waitress was great and very helpful for four first time visitors. Can't wait to come back again"
"Food and service was excellent! Came here because my friend said there was a good deal on skewers. Next time, I'd skip the skewers and go straight into the appies and entrees. You'll get a lot more food for a reasonable price. The skewers were still delish though, just note you have to buy a drink for the dollar skewers deal.Ambiance is great, dim lighting but not too dim & writing all over the walls gives the place a fun vibe. Good to take friends pre or post a night out."
"We made a reservation via resy and had no problem. The restaurant is not huge, so it's important to get a reservation as it can get packed. We ordered: - Blistered heirloom carrots with lemon and herbs: this was good and refreshing - Baked sheep feta with dates, local honey and herbs: this was okay, but definitely ordered a side of bread to eat it with although it should come with it - Seared maitake w/smashed potato, aji verde, gremolata: the potatoes were super crispy and really made the dish and the sauce was chimichurri-like - Acquerello risotto w/chanterelles, maitake, crispy onions, white miso butter: this was a burst of flavors and the crispy onions really made the dish - Walnut & saffron baklava: this was good, but the filling was more flaky in terms of a typical baklava structure. The flavor was good though In regards to service, I think this can be improved as: - I got there before my friend and was sitting at the bar, they kind of ignored me and provided service to others at the bar- While we were seated for dinner, our waitress literally walked out without transferring service to another person and it was hard to flag anyone down to order/closeout Parking: you should be able to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods."
"Food is solid. Drinks are great. But $9 for a 12oz can of LA beer is just obnoxious, also not including the tip... so we're talking somewhere around 10.5 dollars for a can of beer. Stupid. The food here is so good, I think they could use a little bit of encouragement with regard to portion size on some things. For example, I got a side of fries with some friends and they were great! A little overly salty, but otherwise crunchy and fresh, with a very generous serving size. However, also got some pita and hummus, and I literally laughed when they brought the hummus out. Not exaggerating at all it was about a tablespoon. Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food, hummus should be served generously as it is both inexpensive to make delicious to eat. A tablespoon was flat out insulting and cheap. That said, the entrées and appetizers were delicious. Salads are small and the hummus is small, but everything else seemed fair. I also don't mind slow service, but you have to occasionally check in, and you have to keep drinks from staying empty, at minimum. We ran out of drinks, the entire table, multiple times, water, alcohol, there was literally nothing and no one was checking in for 30 to 4o minute intervals. Even after we were done eating, we waited for about 40 minutes to get our check, it was pretty exhausting to be honest. Not a demanding table, not a condescending table, did not complain as all of us are in the retail industry. The complaints here are so easily avoidable that it really took away from the experience. And this place is not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for (for the most part). So an expensive meal with overpriced beer and a few small portions, with excruciatingly slow service stuck pretty hard. Especially waiting for the check, you cannot make customers wait idling for a half hour to give you money, that's ridiculous."

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food here. The ambiance is nice, however the music is way too loud for such a place. The only food item we liked was the goat cheese salad. We expected to get at least fresh bread and butter in a French restaurant but even the bread was stale and seemed reheated. The worst part was when they sent someone to take pictures of couples at the restaurant and then charge them $22 for each photo. This was such a cheap sales tactic and not at a level of an upscale restaurant. We felt ambushed. Unfortunately, we will not go back.

Beautiful experience. Our waiter was wonderful. It wasn't very busy for a Friday night. I could go on and on about the view and the atmosphere. I love my city so much. The food was a little underwhelming. I had the pad Thai. I wish I would have gone with the lobster burger that was suggested.

My friend is a regular at this place and they all know her. This is my second time here, and the quality is phenomenal. The staff are all really friendly and accommodating here. It's a small restaurant in WeHo but super cute and charming. Authentic, quality sushi here. The halibut has this awesome sauce that works so well with it. The salmon is super tender and has a good strong smokey flavor to it. Would definitely come back.

My friend and I were looking for a light but delicious snack and the sandwich's from hmignon really caught my attention. now I am neither a cheese nor a wine connoisseur, but again I am a lover of food and am on a constant quest to expand my taste buds. The bar is dark, it sets this tone of very NOT LA. It really felt like we were in Paris. I really enjoyed the vibe It's kinda hidden, so keep your eyes open. Street parking only. Now let's get to the fun part..... the part you've been waiting for, I know.... The foooodddd ! Ok we went with the ham & Brie sandwich and the fig and Brie sandwich. like I said I'm a cheese novice so I asked A LOT of questions and the lovely girl was so patient, really knowledgeable, did not once make me feel silly for any question I asked. She helped us curate a beautiful charcuterie board and I must say I FINALLLLY understood the beauty of a charcuterie board. It's like painting with your palate. You mix and match flavors, texture and really get to give your taste buds a fun ride. I'm really excited to go back and explore more meats and cheeses. The only cheese name I remember was the truffle one and wow it was amazing. It's a goat cheese, but not at all overpowering it paired so well with the honey! MY FAVORITE is the ham & Brie, it comes on a board with Dijon, almonds and pickles. THIS SANDWICH IS WOWWWWW It's simple and beyond delicious. No lie both my friend and I wished we ordered one Togo. And full disclosure I woke up thinking about that sandwich The fig & Brie was also amazing but the ham & Brie stole my heart.

Here another meal along with a meal for our pup, Ava. Our order took longer than usual but for the wait, the food was delicious. We ordered the Bento Box A with salmon plus a tuna roll and vegetable tempura. Ava had her portion of salmon and brown rice. We topped off our meal with Lychee sorbet and green tea ice cream. Nice and inviting dining area. Lots of seating both indoors and out.

By far our favorite dim sum place in LA!! We are regulars and it's consistently delicious every time. They have great deals during happy hour. Some of our favorites are: garlic green beans, juicy pork dumplings, crispy chicken dumplings, beef chow mein, fried rice.

this place is wow. I been in this plaza many times for other events or bars. My cousin took me here for my birthday. My cousin comes here many times and pretty much knows the staff.food: nothing short of amazing. The best thing there was the crab fried rice. Wow. The soup dumplings were totally on point. The short rib noodles was surprisingly blah unfortunately. A lot of people but I did not. The bok choi was crunchy and superb. Ambiance: it was pretty clean, you can bring your dog outside on a nice day to eat with you during your meal.

"Great experience!! I went during Dine LA, and the food was absolutely amazing! Beautiful restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating as well as a second floor indoors. The manager that day was Rukk who was fantastic.Only negatives were they charge an optional 6% health insurance surcharge, but you can request it get removed from your check. Also someone named Matt was a bit snippy with me over the phone.Overall, highly recommend this place!"
"Great ambience and great food! Staff is cordial and really attentive. Recommended!!!"
"A must try for couples and friend a like. I enjoyed every dish tonight. The waitstaff and entire team were incredibly kind and accommodating. When the staff is happy, it's a good sign that the food will be great. And that was certainly the case here. The corn was so good!! I really enjoyed it!!With everything that has happened in the LA area, it's more important than ever to support local businesses, no matter their size. They need all the help they can get after the devastating fires. Despite these challenges, the staff remained in good spirits, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere makes this the perfect spot for a Tuesday night date. I'll definitely be back for more!"
"I have been wanting to go here for the last couple of years, so when my birthday came up a week ago, my friends were definitely all in to take me there! I ordered the steelhead trout, which was fantastic and perfectly cooked, with 7 vegetable couscous as a side. My friends had the short rib and the beef stroganoff. I gotta say that beef stroganoff was some of the best I've tasted in a very long time. It was tasty, filling and just perfect for a cool fall evening. All of us vowed to come back again to try the other main dishes! We also had roasted carrots as a side (which was finished very quickly) and I also had the bread pudding as dessert. The service was excellent and the friendly wait staff did a great job answering our questions about the seasonal menu and making sure we had everything we needed.I am looking forward to returning again, a very charming restaurant!"
"Magnificent. Beautiful bar/restaurant with pops of orange. I love the staff and the food. They have recently changed the menu and it's quite elevated and fancy (not sure if they have the wings still)Great wines you can't find elsewhere. Love that it's sister owned and they have events throughout the month.Live music on Wednesday and happy hour all day Thursday. Parking is easy and they also valet for $10 :)"
"If you want an authentic Japanese izakaya (pub) experience, Izakaya Hero is the place. I'm originally from Japan (but I have lived in the US a little over half of my life). It's a small establishment near UCLA. As soon as you walk in, you're in an izakaya in Japan. The workers, the chefs and the waitstaff, are mostly (if not all) Japanese. Their offerings are very authentic. They serve several dishes that contain cow intestines, dishes with mentaiko (cod roe), Hakata (city in Kyushu) style ramen. Their food is NOT Americanized at all. If you are opened about trying authentic Japanese food, this is an excellent place. If you want teriyaki or sushi rolls, this is not your place. I don't think they even serve teriyaki. My girlfriend and I ordered/shared 6 dishes and hot sake. See my pictures for details. I have included my ratings in the caption. After sharing 6 small to medium size dishes, we were completely full. The total only came to $113 (including a 9.5% sales tax) plus a tip. This is a GREAT deal. I recommend you to try this restaurant if you want authentic Japanese izakaya food."
"Awesome awesome food. Legit Japanese authentic.I mean... plus it's fire AF. Just look!!!!"
"Wanted a spontaneous rooftop experience in downtown and La Lo La did not disappoint. I did a reservation on open table and was seated right away beautiful views, food was delicious and seating was plethora. I would come here again solo and enjoy the bar. The food was on the pricier side but understand with the ambiance. Ordered chicken and waffles, potatoes, and chiliqueles to share between a girlfriend myself and her daughter. Had the strawberry mocktail it was refreshing! FYI they do validate parking in their parking structure I parked in the public parking lot next door and wasted $20. So make sure to park there!"
"Chicken thigh is the best one but the other skewers are pretty good. I think the pork belly needs a bit of work and some more options for skewers would elevate. But I wasn't disappointed and my party all enjoyed the food and sake."
"I've never visited a Filipino restaurant before and I was craving Asian food for lunch so we decided to check out this place. There's only street parking so be prepared to parallel park. We ordered 3 entrees and a side of rice for 3 people. I liked how on the menu, they give you different sizing options for a lot of the dishes. We chose the smallest side for each dish because we wanted to try a little of everything. Garlic rice was so good, the garlic bits were not burnt at all. Patita is a definite order!! Crispy outer edge skin and soft/moist meat in a sweet chili sauce. We also ordered the lechon but it was a bit on the fattier side but all of their pickled cabbages is so good. The bistec was also perfectly cooked medium rare with a tang of sourness. Everything was really good. I would recommend to others!"
"Wow. The service was incredible (man, I wish I could remember our waitress's name, but she was absolutely incredible). The food was impeccable (and perfectly cooked). I had bacon, eggs, and the smoked salmon pita (sans pita). My friend had the French toast and fruit. What a cute spot (great for a date or brunch). It doesn't feel like you're in a big city, but has the charm of a quaint, small town. Also, the owner, Danny, sent a thank you note to us after our experience and that spoke volumes about how much these people care about their customers. Great staff. Great food. Great all around!"
"They do a great job , way better than Stout, Stout was aweful , this group is so nice and easy and actually wait on you and give fast service"
"It was our first time here and we weren't sure whether we'd find parking. We lucked out but heads up--street parking can be challenging since it's beside a residential neighborhood. You order first and the cashier gives you a table number. Everyone was kind in answering questions as it was our first time there. Service was quick despite them being busy with delivery service/togo orders. The tables had condiments, napkins and utensils available. Self serve water was also available by the counter. We ordered hot and iced tea, spicy peanuts, beef noodle soup, eggplant with basil and rice, and shrimp wontons. Everything was tasty. We had their Alishan Jin Xuan (hot tea) and their passion fruit black tea (iced).Shrimp wontons and peanuts were so delicious and I think I'll reorder them next time.We also had their beef noodle soup which seemed pretty popular; saw a few more tables ordering it. The basil eggplant serving size was plenty to share. We ordered enough to try and enjoy but also take home for left overs. Can't wait to return and try more of their menu with friends."
"Hatch was my second victim of Dine LA -- I went with a friend for lunch ($25 for 6 "courses") on a Wednesday after making a reservation on OpenTable. We took the Metro to 7th St / Metro Center, which spits you out right below the restaurant. The tuna tataki handroll was a little awkwardly sized so you had to eat carefully and quickly or else items would fall out. The tuna sear was a little bit tough on the outside but otherwise the roll's flavors were well balanced, with a hint of vinegar in the rice and the savoriness of the fish. Seaweed salad wasn't fishy at all and had a sweetness that worked with the light umami flavor. Squid ink karaage was crispy but it was just like normal karaage. It was juicy and the aioli had a smooth contrast.Chicken meatball skewer paired well with the egg dip but I wish it was a bit sweeter. I am usually not a fan of either bacon or shishito peppers but the bacon shishito worked really well together and was probably the most flavorful dish. It wasn't too greasy and the smoked flavor of the bacon shone through while the punchiness of the shishito peppers were vibrant in comparison. Hatch greens were refreshing, but I wasn't super sold on the napa cabbage since it made it a bit watery.Service was incredibly fast. My friend and I were in and out of there in an hour (plenty of time to spare before class ). Great value overall -- it was fun to try a bunch of plates without breaking the bank or overeating."
"Kazan was decent, but I can think of plenty of spots in New York that serve similar flavors.I ordered the Lava Lamb, while my guest got the Chasiu Supreme--and let me tell you, I was not thrilled when I realized my bowl was double the price of theirs. For that kind of markup, I expected something special, but the flavor just didn't deliver. The broth? Honestly, it was giving Shin Ramyun vibes--not bad, but definitely not what I was hoping for at this price point.Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but for the cost and Michelin rating, I expected more"
"The interior looks cool, it was pretty crowded on Friday lunch. The hostess was polite but never smiled. The price of $21 after tax plus 18% default tip option is a little rough. They play cool music and the vibe was great.I got their signature pork ramen. They brought me in minutes, really quick. The portion was rather small for the price. The pork was tender, the boiled egg was tasty and cooked to perfection, the broth was creamy but tasted ok. What stood out to me was noodles - they were pretty hard in texture, reminded me of $0.99 noodle soup.I paid right away and has never been checked by any server. Overall I didn't enjoy it - the overall taste was ok and the price was high imho. I would not be back"
"My new favorite in town!!! Chao Krung blew us away with the authentic flavors, quality of ingredients and amount of food. I ordered delivery for a dinner party of Thai food fanatics (they fly into Las Vegas and uber straight to Lotus of Siam every time haha). My guests and my family were blown away and agree Chao Krung Thai is their new Los Angeles favorite. Get the Seua Rong Hai flat iron steak it's cooked perfectly, sliced perfectly and don't forget the spicy tangy sauce poured on top. Red curry is best I've ever had with tons of chicken and an old family recipe and made in house. Sidewalk pad thai was not skimpy like you see at so many restaurants these days - egg cooked in, crushed peanut & every single dish topped with lime. Yes it's the small things now missing at so many other Thai restaurants. Sorry no photos we started eating it right up!Chao Krung Thai you have my heart!"
"Love this place! I've had a lot of margaritas in my day but the salt foam on this one was mouth watering! Also the Atun Ceviche (tuna) was a perfect 10, I wanted to lick the bowl.. the shrimp was awesomely prepared with nice grilled onions a good sauce, but really the carnitas tacos with their chiccarones were, as the living people say, "to die for.." This place is newly opened and it was a breeze get in and order on a Saturday, and the 10 out of 10 for the music! I had to keep pulling my phone out to Shazam the songs haha"
"Service was quick, food was fresh and delicious, and there were a good amount of tables to sit at in the patio area. I got the Veggie Combo Plate for $15.90 with hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Grape Leaves, falafel on a bed of veggies and it was really filling!"
"Really lovely ambiance in their outdoor patio (loved that it felt indoors). It is a bit loud but I liked that tables were well spaced out and loved the beautiful tree in the middle of the space. The inside part had a nice open kitchen concept but did seem a bit tighter. For food, we ordered the beef tartare, steamed mussels and clam, corn pasta, and banana pudding tiramisu to share. Beef tartare was really tart and had interesting textures and flavors. It was good but not the best we ever had. We loved the sauce and the bread that came with the steamed mussels and clam and felt like the portion size was well worth the price. Corn pasta came out really slowly and we were a little disappointed by the small portion (it felt smaller than the appetizers) but we loved the flavors. We also loved the banana pudding tiramisu!!"
"This is a great ramen spot to check out in Little Tokyo! The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm and inviting. I ordered the spicy Hakata ramen, and it was absolutely delicious--I had it a week ago, and I'm still thinking about it!I also tried the fried chicken, but it wasn't my favorite, so I probably wouldn't order it again. The seating wasn't my favorite either, but that's more of a personal preference. The service was impressively fast, and overall, I had a great experience. I'd definitely love to come back!"
"Shin Sen Gumi is a really awesome Ramen shop down towards the end of Sawtelle. So parking is a bit easier and there is a lot less foot traffic. The food is affordable and the service rocks. It has great feel to the inside and they do there best to make it feel like they transported you to Japan. The classic Hakata Ramen and The Spicy Dan Dan Men are my go to but the Dan Dan is my favorite. It has great flavor and just the right amount of spice. Would definitely recommend it. The gyoza is always cooked well and tastes good. The curry was so flavorful and the rice was cooked well I would also recommend trying the curry from there."
"My daughter suggested this place for Happy Hour on a weekend and it was GREAT!! I definitely would come back again. The prices were good, and the menu had many choices to choose from. I ordered the tempura veggie with shrimp, and it looked yummy and tasted great. The rest of my family ordered sushi and they enjoyed their food. Drink wise, I got the sencha green tea because it was free refills. It was ok tasting. Service was fine. Ambiance was nice and relaxing where we sat. We chose to sit in the outdoor patio in the back because it was quieter, and more space, and we had the place to ourselves for a while which was nice. They also have another section outside where there was a birthday party going on, but the noise level was fine. I noticed inside was crowded and noisy. It's walkable from our place, so we didn't have to look for street parking which was nice."
