"We have been to this restaurant for years and they used to have combo sets for you to select from the menu. We came today and found out that this place now has all you can eat shabu shabu!!! Amazing quality of meat and a soup base excellent. Service is very good too!!Highly recommend to anyone who likes AYCE hot pot experience!!"
"Just had the most amazing Omakase at this gem of a restaurant. The fish was so incredibly fresh with the most sublime flavors, prepared and presented so beautifully by Chef Yutaka-san. Joey and Akiko were very attentive and personable, helping to make this all such a special experience. My new favorite sushi spot and I cannot wait to be back."

"Hands down the best experience at the sushi bar!!! Service and ambiance is good and the sushi is always great."
"We took advantage of dineLA week prix-fix 5 course for $50 per person and enjoyed the experience.- location: Ktown. Parking is a bit difficult. Street parking is limited. Parking garage is mostly for bussiness or residents. Make sure check the signs. Some garage close after 7 PM. So, you may not be able to get your car out after 7 PM.- Ambiance: very modern and spacious inside. Not what we expected from the outside appearance of the old building. - Meals: good value with DineLa deal. Otherwise, it is relatively spendy with regular menu.Kaseiki tradition menu with multiple courses.Sakizuke: assorted seasonal appetizers came with snail, chilled shrimp,, seaweeds, potatoes. Acquired taste. Probably the best thing on this plate is the gelly palate cleanser.Tsukuri: assorted sashimi. Very fresh and high quality fish. Salad. Beautiful presentation.Toban: we chosed ribeye steak and seafood on sizzling plate. Both are well cooked and seasoning, served with miso soup and pickles.Deserts: japanese panna cotta. Very light.- Service: pleasant and attentive.Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience but not sure if we will hurry back anytime soon."
"Deeeeee-licious! Took my friend out to an appreciation dinner and he said, "it was the BEST sushi I've EVER HAD" so looks like I showed the right amount of gratitude. Everything was soooo fresh! Service was friendly, helpful and advised us during our entire experience. The Yuzu Margaritas were suspiciously addicting...so good we stayed just a little past close. Matsuhisa won't let you down and best believe you will not leave with a frown ."
"Fresh food every time I am here! I am into their lunch specials such as the creamy salmon bowl! Service is fast and they remember their customers by name. Not too loud; good for lunch meetings."
"We came here on a weeknight and opted for their regular AYCE menu since it was only $35/person. We were definitely able to eat $70 worth of food. SERVICEThe food came out relatively quick and the staff were attentive. There is no limit of items per round, nor is there a limit of rounds, as long as you order within the 90 minutes and you only order the next round when all your food from the previous round arrived. FOODFor AYCE $35/person, this placed exceeded my expectations for the food they offered. I was a particular fan of the yellowtail kama as it was cooked jsut right and the fish tasted so delicious. I would not recommend the tako wasabi, miso soup or shishito peppers if you don't like salty food. The nigiri unfortunately does have a full portion of rice so it will fill you up quickly. PARKINGIt's in a strip mall that is shared with an AYCE KBBQ place but fortunately the restaurant itself offers parking to customers behind their building. WOULD I COME BACK AGAIN?The BF says we can have date night here again!"
"Great service, even better food! We stumbled across it and decided to go in.We did not have to wait even though they were busy our server was extremely attentive. We ordered a few spicy tuna rolls, edamame, vegetable tempura and some delicious drinks . The atmosphere was lively yet intimate enough to hold a conversation. It was the perfect spot to get away from all the crowds outside. Smacked at the end of a busy/touristy area was an incredible restaurant. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for sushi."
"This place was pretty empty on a Friday night. We ordered a meat based ramen and the veggie ramen to go. The items were packed neatly in paper bags and leak free containers, but I would appreciate them labelling the ramen and broth as I could've easily taken the meat broth on accident. The veggie ramen was very flavorful and delicious with lots of veggies, even the noodles themselves tasted amazing, not bland like some places. The tofu was just sliced and raw, not fried or seared, but it was okay. My boyfriend said he would've rather had my ramen than his meat ramen."
"Went here last night after a co-worker raved about the food and it did not disappoint! The quality of the cooked food and sushi was top notch and the service impeccable! Each dish was prepared with love by the sushi chef, and the portions were perfect! My photos are just a portion of what was served. Will definitely be back here again!"
"Love having a sushi place so close to me that has both vegan and non vegan options! My husband is not vegan so I try and find restaurants that will please both of us. Plenty of seating both inside and on the back patio. Decor is so cute and the service friendly and efficient. Been here a few times. They actually have a Vegan section on their menu with plenty of options. My favorite Vegan sushi roll is the Vegan Hot Lover...forgot to take a picture of it. Next time for sure. They also serve cocktails and wine. No parking lot but parking is pretty easy on and off Melrose."
"I'm always a little suspicious when ramen places top vegan ramen with cold, uncooked tofu -- it seems a little lazy to me -- but the broth in this vegan ramen was so delicious I didn't care about the tofu being cold. The broth was creamy and full of flavor. The toppings were a great pairing. The noodles... omg... the noodles! The service was great, super kind man took care of us. Parking was easy and the inside was spacious with three tables and bar space. 10/10 recommend!! You need to try this place for yourself"

I've been coming to Seoul Garden periodically for as long as I can remember since I was a child, and I recently came back here for the first time since the pandemic because I was finally craving some Korean style shabu shabu again. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they completely remodeled the interior...not sure how long ago they did this, but it's so much nicer now than what I remember from the last time I was here. We ordered the Australian Wagyu and the meat was definitely great quality...perfectly marbled and fresh. The meat comes with an assortment of vegetables that you can cook shabu style can a broth. If you're not sure what to do, the servers came help you with cooking if you ask them, or give you tips on what to do. They also give you various banchan which can be refilled! After you finish the meat and the veggies, they cook udon and make you a rice porridge in the leftover broth. The rice porridge might actually be my favorite part...absolutely delish! Overall we had an excellent and filling meal as expected. Seoul Garden is the go-to and OG for Korean style shabu shabu...there's a reason it's been around for so long. The quality is always so consistent and I've always left stuffed and satisfied.

10/10 sushi experience. We did the deep sea omakase and we were blown away with the freshness and flavor of the fish. Each bite was amazing and i can't even put into words how great not only the fish was but the sushi rice.10/10 for everything. And the yuzu ice at the end. Wow. No better way to finish off the best omakase to date. The service was outstanding as well. Very sweet people and very knowledgeable about everything that is being served.MUST TRY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This establishment is still open even though Yelp suggests it might not be.This is a small establishment, and they only have one person, sometimes two people working the sushi bar.If you come in with the right attitude and have patience and understanding that this is artisanal experience that will take time, you will be rewarded. The best experience is had at the sushi bar.Don't be afraid to order your known staples that can be had at any other restaurant. I'm still a fan of Tuna Rolls and Shrimp Tempura Rolls that are not fancy and order those as well. The sushi bar staff can tailor things to taste if you have had some prior experience with omakase. Feel free to ask for suggestions. The best items are the special items on the board with Market Price. I am a very big fan of the Hokkaido scallops. If you like real Japanese beer, they have Orion Beer from Okinawa, Japan. The restaurant also carries a very good selection of sake, both cold and hot. The sushi bar staff can recommend drink pairings for the meal. While the restaurant does not have the looks and ambiance of the top tier sushi restaurants, I go here specifically for the experience that cannot be found anywhere else.

Between the Umaya omakase lunch and the chef's choice Yume menu, it's hard to pick which one I liked more. The lunch omakase was a fun option because you made your own hand rolls with all the ingredients they laid out before you. There were 12 different sashimi, sushi rice, nori, very low sodium soy sauce, and 5 different salts (kombu, ume, matcha, sakura, and yuzu). The Yume menu was a course meal with so many delicious items and some that even brought back nostalgia for me. My mom used to always make me chawanmushi as a kid and this one, I have to say, tasted even better than hers with the silky texture and mix-ins. I also really enjoyed the broiled fish which they change seasonally and ours was miso black cod. It was unforgettable. If there was an option to have it as an entree, I would not hesitate to order it. There were also 12 pieces of sushi of which I surprisingly liked the bluefin the best. That's not to say the others weren't good, because they were, it just stood out a lot more with how tender and thick the cut was.The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxed and intimate, so it's perfect for date night or a fun hangout with friends. Parking would be street if you're lucky or at a nearby structure and then walk from there.

If you can afford to eat here, you need to come enjoy the excellent sushi and cooked dishes here. An unassuming restaurant considering it's Beverly Hills, with fast (though brusque) service and a very diverse menu. The elevated Japanese food you would get at Nobu (same owner) but in a much less pretentious space.Every bite was super high quality from the perfectly crisped crispy rice and spicy tuna (best version of this dish I've ever had), the baked crab hand roll (ugly presentation but very tasty), nicely grilled A5 wagyu (get it with NO SAUCE, the miso did not work and I am so glad I asked for it on the side even if the server was skeptical, lol), yummy black miso cod, buttery uni donburi ($$$$$), and rock shrimp tempura that was a big hit. I would recommend skipping the tempura as it is no better than your neighborhood Japanese spot and there are more fun things to try on the menu. The oysters are also a skip.

Located in the heart of little Tokyo plaza, this is one of many sushi restaurants located here. We chose this one because we happened to be near it when we were getting hungry. Service was great, we were greeted and sat down right away. Our server took our order and the food was brought out promptly. The restaurant itself is very small but seemed authentic. The rolls were fresh. They do have restrooms available for customers only.

"Hidden on a corner in DTLA , this place was a diamond in the rough. My wife and I went for our anniversary and it was amazing. Service was great! Food was great! It was nice inside, not to dark but not to bright. Noise level was moderate. We will definitely be going back here in the future."
"Yes, I finally went back to the place and everything was great as always. Last time, I didn't have a good experience with the servers but the staffs tonight is amazing. The owner (I believe) Cherrie reached out to me immediately last time and offered me 2 hand rolls to compensate for my experience and asked me come back to give it another try.I came at 9:30 on a Thursday, no line, immediate seating. I was greeted nicely from the front to when I was served. Manager Scott, the chef and my server were really kind and patient explaining my menu and refilling my ginger and hand rolls quickly. Overall, this place gains my 5 stars solid and hands off to the exceptional customer service. Trust me, I'm also in F&B and I know an ethical place and good place by looking at how their employees are treated and how they treat their guest. Will definitely come back next time."
"The ambiance, service, and food at Teru Sushi are superb. The sushi is absolutely amazing--top-notch deliciousness that stands out from the rest. I especially love when the owner takes the time to offer recommendations, which makes the experience feel even more personal. The owner was extremely nice and helpful, adding to the already wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend this spot for sushi lovers!"
"My daughter and I have been coming here. She introduced me to this sushi place. So far the rolls that we have ordered are all pretty good and we have enjoyed them. We usually come at the perfect time because we never have to wait to be seated. Upon sitting down, servers are there right away to get your orders. Recently when we visited, they have a limited AYCE for $19.99 person from 11:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday only, excluding holidays. The regular price is $29.99 per person. My daughter wasn't interested so we just ordered from the Happy Hour menu. * I just noticed that the tables aren't spaced well. Come in and enjoy the AYCE rolls!!!"
"Simply spectacular. Please sit at the bar, let the chefs do their thing, sit back, and enjoy. Thank you and you're welcome."
"Tucked away in the corner of a plaza, it's hard to see from the outside. Inside is cute and even has traditional seats where you sit on the floor, with your feet dangling.Everyone is super friendly and when you walk in they greet you with the typical "irashai mase!" And a smile on their faces.Tried so many food items and ALL of the fish was so fresh. It literally tasted very comparable to Japan's sushi. Some of my favorites:- Literally ALL of the sushi (especially the monkfish liver & the Uni & the Handroll... IT HAS CAVIAR)- Oysters (super fresh, has ponzu jelly)- Fried oyster- Mentaiko Pasta (creamy, yumminess) Parking in a lot, sometimes will have valet."
"Hands down Omakase is itadakimasu. Every bit was perfect so no soy sauce or wasabi was needed to be added, yet offered. Presentation is above all so amazingly exquisite work of art it's was hard for me to believe it's to be eaten. The cuts and quality were some of the best I've seen in a long time. The nigiri was so refined traditional and fusion tied together. As for service, I felt like a king for a dinner. Warm and attentive, I would have to say was right in line with the quality of the meal. I highly recommend sitting at the bar, watching the chefs work and being able to interact is comforting. May kudos to the chefs and thanks to the staff for a warm and comforting experience."

"My partner and I love this place! We usually come to their happy hour and stay until it's over. Their yellowtail sashimi is delicious and we always order rolls with chile! Ambience is chill and their staff has always been friendly."
"The food is solid, but the service is poor - due entirely to understaffing. They refuse to run more than one server, so the wait to order is interminable - and you should expect to go up to cashier to pay. Some restaurants can adjust better to a tight labor market than others. Roll Call is struggling.I think this place would work better only doing phone orders and DoorDash. The sushi is fine, prices fair. It's just not enough staff to make it pleasant for dining."
"Love this place! It's run by the same company that owns Houston's if you've ever been there. They're great at consistently good American food, mostly grilled meat and fish options, although they really have a little bit of everything. One thing they're known for, but don't always advertise on their menu is their grilled artichokes. They have to be in season and available because they source them from this one special farm that grows delicious baby artichokes. I would definitely ask your waiter if you enjoy artichokes, they come out really tender and a little smoky from the grill and they're served with a delicious aioli. The restaurant is great for apps and steaks. I always get the spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips because it always hits the spot. Their sushi is good too, I liked the spicy tuna which came with some roe on top. Last time I tried the deviled eggs which were creamy and delicious. As a main, I ordered the salad with grilled chicken as I was so overindulged with the apps I wanted something lighter for a main course. From past experience, if you like red meats, I would recommend their ribeye, Filet Mignon, & New York Strip as they're all delicious and they know how to grill their meats. They come out very well seasoned and cooked just to how you like them. Their service is excellent. All the waiters are super attentive and very friendly. The restaurant is dimly lit with nice decor and spacious bathrooms. A great place for a celebration dinner or just a nice dinner with family & friends."
"Delicious sushi, friendly staff, perfect vibes. The otoro and salmon sushi were both delicious. The restaurant is small inside, but in a cozy way. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family."
"There isn't much more I can say than what has already been noted in other reviews, but this dining experience was absolutely beautiful, and the food was magnificent. We felt honored to enjoy the warm hospitality and artistry that Chef Mori Nozomi and her incredible team shared. The dishes are delicate, yet full of beautifully balanced flavors and prepared with the utmost care. The chawanmushi was a perfect start to the meal, silky and subtle. Her miso soup was the best I've ever tasted. Every bite was just to die for, and we added the tea pairing, which was perfect. L.A. is home to some incredible sushi restaurants, and we have tried many of them, but this is truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. It's the restraint, the meticulous attention to detail, the minimalist beauty, top shelf ingredients, and the chef's confidence in letting her artistry shine that makes this incredible restaurant a must. Wholeheartedly recommend. Don't miss this. we will be back. Our sincere thanks to you and your entire team. We felt so welcome."
"I recently visited this place because it was a highly rated Korean spot, but my experience was mixed. While the service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and efficient--the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype. The flavors were underwhelming, and many of the dishes left me unusually thirsty, which made me question the quality of the ingredients or seasoning.Overall, it's not a bad place if you're looking for good service and a lively atmosphere, but the food didn't stand out as memorable. I expected more based on the ratings, so I'd say it's more of an average spot compared to other Korean restaurants I've tried."
"My wife and I love this restaurant! Their fish selection / quality is very good; I'm obsessed with the Seared Salmon Belly Nigiri and so many others. Hard to find this high quality of Nigiri for the very reasonable price in LA. My wife is a huge fan of the Nicky Cut Roll with soft shell crab and baked lobster on top! Lauren Cut Roll is also very good. And don't pass up on the Izakaya selection as well. We always get the Miso Cod, Yakiniku (grilled beef), and agedashi Tofu as well. Highly recommend this place for great food and a chill ambiance."
"2nd time coming here for their omakase for special occasions. Although the price has increased, it is still oh so very worth it. Everything is so fresh and perfect. Words can barely describe it. Even the cuts that I don't "usually" like are divine. Tucked away in the corner of a random strip mall. Make reservations for bar seating if you're going to do omakase! The temperature of everything and the order is perfect that way and if you have room for more (which I barely do) then the chefs can make the perfect recommendation."
"Love KazuNori, with this location being a favorite because of the easy parking during the daytime (before 4pm). Use the QR code to first place a $5 "charge" on your credit card before you park. After eating, scan another QR within the restaurant to validate your parking and get your $5 refunded. Easy peasy. I've also had extra time after eating to stroll around the plaza the several times I've visited. Grab a Starbucks drink or try your luck at the gashapon store a few doors down.I've found the rolls here deliciously consistent with other locations. Grab the 6 roll combo, you won't regret it! Staff here are also attentive."
"The perfect date night spot!- - A M B I A N C E / S E R V I C E - -We made reservations for dinner here and the lights were dimmed, candles were lit, not too loud...the perfect spot for an intimate date night. The waiters were all so sweet and knowledgable. Service was prompt and they were just so on top of things. There was a perfect amount of checking up on us versus letting us enjoy our dinner the whole time - - D I N N E R - - We got the whole note along with a glass of wine each. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of rose once we were seated. The meal was nicely paced and a lot! Things started off great with the edamame and miso soup. We also got a lemon sorbet to clean our palates before starting off with our sushi. Every piece was so delicious and just melted in our mouths. The flavors of the garnish were all so delicate and tasteful. There was a smear of wasabi in almost all of our sushi pieces, which I loved. If you're not a big wasabi fan, this is something you could maybe talk to the chefs about. Overall, everything was great! I think I'd go with the half note next time because that was just a little too much food for us and then just order extra of our personal favorites if needed."
"Sure cute clean place with helpful staff. This can be entertaining for kids to watch the plates revolve around the restaurant , the robot going around with drinks and the dirty plates 'magically' disappear into a slot at the end of each table. The prices are 3-4 bucks per plate but pigeon size portions so chances are after eating ten items you'll still be someone hungry. My only real issue was the catering to special diets . I love they offer charts to show what dish contains what allergen but ...it takes time to see what dish is coming down the automated pipeline and then check what allergens it contains .I guess for special diets the safest is to special order items .Overall I recommend the place for the experience, quality and uniqueness."
"New management in the past year has really brought this place back to life! It's a total delight to come here again."
"Hand rolls here are incredible. The flavor, the texture, everything is amazing. I hate to say it, but don't come hungry or else you'll easily spend over $200 on a dinner for 2. Must try the salmon burrata if you love salmon!! They incorporate honey truffle and yuzu. It's amazing, it's fresh, it's creamy... It's a small portion, but still easily shareable. We also tried the scallop uni sashimi- another great appetizer. Uni was fresh & sweet. It features white truffle oil, yuzu, and sea salt. Delicious combination of flavors in my mouth. Didn't get to try any of the cocktails, but I will next time. :)Street parking or parking garage behind the establishment."
"Food, service and ambiance were impeccable. We came here for lunch and were so impressed with the quality of food and hospitality. The bento box is must with a selection of sashimi/nigiri. Everything is cook to order, fresh and delish especially the nigiri. We also loved the lychee ice cream with bits of lychee. As a souvenir, we got Kombu matchbox, it's a cute keepsake. Michael was very kind and hospitable."
"LOVE THIS PLACE!! we recently moved to NoHo & were looking for a good sushi place. This place is amazing!!! Perfect hole in the wall sushi place. the prices are good, good staff, & the sushi is very good quality! Everything feels really fresh & high quality. Its a cute casual place for dinner or lunch!"
