Carolyn C. "We had to push back our reservation for 4 a couple times because we got tied up in a fancy store (Tiffany's) at the Caruso Signature plaza. Our server, Nick, made our entire dining experience here so memorable. It was a special dinner with the cousins and Nick took great care of us. The restaurant itself was nicely, dimly lit which set the mood for a serious and delicious meal! One of the cousins is pregnant so she wasn't able to have the Ceasar salad since it had raw egg but Nick brought us truffle bread which was unassumingly DELICIOUS. Pregnant cousin devoured that as well as her chicken plate. I enjoyed my rib eye cap prepared medium. Other cousin enjoyed her lamb chops, and other cousin enjoyed her NY strip steak prepared medium. For sides we had the mushrooms, and truffle Mac & cheese. Everything was SO GOOD! We didn't have space for dessert but I'm certain I'll be back real soon so I'll give desserts a try then. We enjoyed a couple old fashioned, and mock tails. Classy vibes and a great place for catching up with a group of family/friends. Thanks again, Nick & staff for your hard work and excellent service."

My favorite was the Picanha, Pork belly, and the sides that they serve.Ambiance feels classier than before and there's so much more space. The $44.99 price for dinner is such a bargain. The prime rib is the best ive had compared to other places. They had several different sizes for the prime rib but i got the normal size. I put the bread on my plate and it absorbed all the juice so i wouldnt recommend doing that. Their horse raddish also went well with the prime rib. They had one that attacked your nose and the other was subtle. heard their spinach option wasnt good so i was glad i got corn. Service was amazing. Our waiter was hilarious."

Shelly S. "There were quite a few issues with my dish, but mistakes happen everywhere and I still love this restaurant. It's super chill and the waitstaff is kind and unpretentious. The reason for "four stars" is because we were celebrating my husband's birthday -- they received a heads up from me and confirmed they would put a candle in his dessert. When his dessert arrived, there was NO candle -- only a cheap "Happy Birthday" placard on the dessert. We were told "oh sorry, yeah, we don't have candles, only placards." Very thoughtless and honestly rude not to provide candles to birthday patrons who want to blow out a candle/ "make a wish" on their annual birthday. We sang "happy birthday" but he had nothing to blow out. Lame. How on earth do you not have birthday candles? It's just a few bucks. Go buy some."

Yes, it was that serious, because their food was that good. Not having been in ages, I noticed Lala's on a food delivery app. I ordered and man... it is as good today as it was then. I ordered a NY steak, half-rice and half-fries. It came with chimichurri, which is SO delicious, and the softest, freshest sliced French bread. This was my dinner after spending nearly 2-days straight in the hospital with my Mom. (No Lala's for her this time. :-( ) It was such a blessing. It arrived cooked perfectly, still hot, fresh and delicious.I look forward to ordering from Lala's again soon. Thank you for being consistent."

Tiffany C. "Drove down Lower Azusa and saw a banner that advertised the grand opening of TD Cafe. Decided to try it out with my parents and was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was on Saturday evening. The restaurant itself is fairly big with a good number of tables - about 85% of tables were filled when we walked in and there was a steady number of customers entering during our stay. We don't have too many HK cafes in the area, so I can see this place being busy. TD Cafe is located in the bowling alley plaza - there's been a lot of restaurants popping up, so hopefully this one is here to stay. Parking is not an issue - located in a fairly large plaza with a ton of parking space. Overall ambiance is nice - high ceilings, large space for people to meet and chat. The menu offers a good selection of Chinese dishes with lunch and dinner specials, several special combinations (comes with a drink and soup), as well as some Western dishes. Prices are pretty affordable. Not sure if they have breakfast, but they do have some items that are typically found for breakfast (kaya toast, French toast, HK style pineapple buns). Ordered the special combination of the clay pot rice with preserved meat, dry morel and chicken soup (the other more popular soups were sold out for that day) and an iced lemon tea ($18.99). The clay pot rice does take about 30 minutes to cook, but the wait time wasn't too bad. I really liked the soup - slightly medicinal, super warm and healing on a cold evening. Lemon tea was made well, but slightly on the sweeter side. As for the clay pot rice - I really enjoyed this dish! Came with a separate sweet soy sauce that we poured over the rice. There was a generous amount of Chinese sausage, preserved meats. I also enjoyed digging at the bottom of the pot for the harder rice pieces stuck to the bottom of the pot. Fried stick rice with preserved meat, dried mushrooms, dried small shrimp, peanuts $12.99. This was well made - good amount of ingredients, liked the chewiness of the rice, and the peanuts on top gave the dish a more fragrant and elevated feel. And we got the deep-fried pork chop with honey garlic sauce $11.99 - one of the lunch and dinner specials that come with steamed rice. For $12, this was pretty worth it. A good amount of pork chop pieces. Sauce was a bit cloying, but overall had good flavor that went well with the rice. They also gave some free garlic bread as an appetizer, which was appreciated. Honestly, this was a hit for me and I definitely will be back to try the Western dishes and the HK pineapple buns! Hoping that it continues to do well and become permanent in the SGV."

The expectation was set and i wanted to personally check this place out. Located in Westwood, Los Angeles. please note there is not much street parking as its near by UCLA and that can be a challenge. My recommendation would be to do valet; $24 if you pay in the lobby of the hotel or $26 if you pay with the valet attendant. The valet attendant was kind and offered to walk me under the umbrella so that i would not get wet! ( it was raining ) Upon entering you are beautifully greeted with great art work in the lobby of the W hotel.. if you walk on down and make a left you are at the entrance of STK! I checked in for our reservation of 4 people but only 3 attended. Our party was not all there yet so i waited at the bar and ordered a drink! Finally our party was here and i was was ready to have a nice meal! Our server brough over a complimentary bread and oil to the table. that was delicious. Hints of blue cheese was really good. ( I'm not a fan of blue cheese, well, only a little bit) Our party opted for the Dine LA experience to which they had a preset menu for us at a cost of $55 per person. I had the following Staters: 1. Tuna Tartare Tacos (3) - Hass avocado, taro shell, soy honey emulsion. Very fresh and delicious. the taro shell gave it that crunch! Entree: 1. Ribeye (additional $16 upcharge to the $55 ) with my sides being parmesan truffle fries at (additional $10 ). My ribeye was cooked perfectly though it lacked seasoning even after the truffle garlic butter they flamed over my steak after serving it. it dint do much. now the parmesan truffle fried were the star of the night! They were perfect! Dessert: baked apple crumble with salted caramel ice cream. our deserts took for what seemed like a very long time to wait for maybe 25 mins or so after finishing our meal. dessert was okay i was looking for more of the breaded goodness The ambiance of this was establishment was nice and its aesthetically pleasing! would i come back.. We visited with a party of 4 and between the four of us we managed to enjoy reasonable mix of items on the menu and having shared most of the items, I can confidently say it doesn't matter what you order, you'll be satisfied (side note on pricing, both food and wine menus are very very reasonably priced for such a sit down restaurant). As far as service, you can tell everyone works as a team! Very rare to come across down a days. Everyone is paying attention to every table, not like other places where servers concentrate on their tables and can care less what happens on other tables. Also, attention to details, to make sure everyone has a great experience was exceptional. At one point, a staff member approached to adjust our wobbling table, which was so little that we had not even noticed. These things are small and unnoticed gestures but must be pointed out to show that customers do appreciate and they do notice! The dining areas was very warm and welcoming. This is our second time there, and I really enjoy the garlic noodles with steak, and my husband enjoys the steak entree. Marinated steak with garlic noodles that are flavorful and not overwhelming, plus it comes with a salad. My only gripe is the paper cups. Not enough to minus a star, but it's definitely not something you'd expect from a sit in restaurant (unless they were serving pizza to go). Im guessing it's a relic from the pandemic times and I won't fault them for that, but I do hope they use up the stash soon lol. Would return for a weekday lunch. He listened to what we wanted and DELIVERED This isn't going one a cheap experience. I decided I wanted to try a little bit of everything without breaking the bank. We started with an appetizer the Colossal Blue Crab cocktail 5/5 delicious the crab is served cold. You're giving two sauces a cocktail sauce and a tartar sauce both are exceptional delicious. The crab is nice and plump with a little sweet taste. I loved it. The French onion soup was rich, onions tender, lots of cheese (my only complaint) too much cheese. It was good probably wouldn't order it again. I decided to get the Petite Filet, this steak melted in my mouth I ordered mine medium well. It came out with a nice pink center this steak actually melts in your mouth. It was one of the best steaks if not the best I've had. Located towards the CBS end of The Grove (you'll actually have to use the crosswalk opposite of the Farmer's Market parking lot). Interior is dark & moody, but not too dimly lit. My friend & I actually opted to dine in the patio & I'm so glad that we did. It's The Grove, after all, & this locale really thrives off it's outdoor setting. There's plenty of fire pits to keep you warm & the area is well lit. Fernanda (request her in the evenings as your server if possible!)was nothing short of exceptional. Even if you came in not knowing what to order, she'll happy give you a rundown of what this steakhouse (a sister location to the original restaurant in Venice) thrives in. But my friend & I knew exactly what we wanted...Main Course:Flannery 30-day Dry AgedPrime Porterhouse 32 oz. $165Yes, it is the most expensive dish. But I am a carnivore at heart & for a steakhouse, I knew it was only appropriate to judge this place based on it's best offering. It. Was. Amazing. A perfect medium rare - nice sear on the outside, + juicy, warm, red center with a tender chew. I'm a true believer that a good piece of beef does not need any steak sauce & this was the perfect example. It was served with a small arugula salad. It provided a necessary peppery bite to stand up to the meatiness of the steak. Sides:Stuffed Hash Browns - I'm a "meat + potatoes" kind of guy & this delivered in spades. There's a reason why there are already many pictures of this dish on Yelp. The great thing is that it eats like a baked potato - sour cream, onion, chives. It's an innovative twist on a classic steakhouse side dish. Charred Broccolini - Fernanda ingeniously recommended this. The vegetable side dish is lathered in a thick parmesan caesar sauce. The saltiness of this dish complimented the strong, savory flavors of the steak. Wine: "Roman Ceremony" Cabernet Sauvignon - This full bodied glass of red stood up to the heartiness of the Porterhouse steak. Its place as our alcoholic beverage of choice helped to round out our delicious meal. Dessert(s): Burnt Cheesecake - Normally, I would opt to go to a 2nd location for desert (if I do decide to do dessert at all). But my friend wanted to try a dessert here so we chose this . The texture was velvety smooth with the charred top providing a welcome smokiness. It was accompanied with candied meyer lemon - which added a nice, non-overpowering sweet & floral note.Straus Organic Vanilla Soft Serve - Get. This. Desert.Fernanda also recommended this. I would come back here just for this. This is a desert for people who do not like desert. It is not overly sweet - which I definitely appreciated. The chocolate pearls are reminiscent of the crunch from a Ferrero Rocher without the hazelnut flavor. The Amarena Cherries & sauce will win over anyone who is not a fan of cherries. Quite simply, it is a nice & elegant take on the Ben & Jerry's "Cherry Garcia" Ice Cream. Overall, this is not your father's steakhouse & that is a very good thing:- No need to come here just for special occasions (graduations, promotions, etc.)- Food is definitely on par with that of your typical steakhouse.- no need to spend 5+ hours having the restaurant make a spectacle of your dining experience with white linen tablecloths & waiters dressed in suits. (Their Dress Code is business casual)- By the time we left for out movie (7:30pm), this place was bustling. It's a great place for any social gathering - be it a date, a casual meeting with friends, or a gathering for groups. This is THE PLACE that you want to be at & the kind of place that you would not expect from The Grove.Special shout out to Fernanda T. for being one of the warmest & chill servers that I have ever had. She's as real & as hospitalitable as it gets & that is very appreciated. Raphael (her runner) was super considerate to take a bunch of photos for me & my friend. The General Manager, himself - Darryl - came to our table to check on us. We had a lovely chat about how great our dining experience was. I'm a big believer that a restaurant's staff is only as good as their leader allows them to be. Darryl is the empathetic leader who treats his staff like his equals & trains them to be themselves. You can tell that everyone on the team loves their job & their work environment. Kudos to a very well-run ship with a happy crew - their passion rubs off on the warm, lively, & classy vibes. I will definitely be coming back soon. Honestly it's the best fish dish I've ever had. Just wanted to say thank you to everybody for making our date night so memorable. We will definitely be returning in the near future! Thank you again."

Gina S. "First time visiting and really enjoyed the ambience of this place. At the time we arrived they let us know that they had a private event at 7:15(arrived around 5:50ish). The workers never rushed us and i think it reflects at how well they manage their times with the tables. Our group decided to do drinks and small bites and when we were nearing the time they made sure to give us enough time for desserts. I got the violet sundae with vanilla and it was super good! The toppings on the oysters were so delicious as well. I also recommend trying their fries and baguettes.Really enjoyed my expierence here!"

MELISSA B. "I have to say the view was the best thing about this place. The size of the steak and lobster was bigger than other steak houses and the service was attentive but other than that it was very average to me.. nothing that would bring me back or recommend to others unfortunately."
