"Joe's Pizza is a cut above. The owner hand tossed our crust himself. That's what he does for his customers. It's a touch of class and it means something. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, but he insisted we should try the meat lovers as half of our large pie. The meat lovers includes pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. The meatballs are made fresh everyday, then marinated overnight, he explained. How could we say no? The thin crust pie we enjoyed was cooked perfectly. The tangy sauce and chewy crust blended beautifully with each other and the meats are superb. I was so impressed. The meatballs are old school, dense and loaded with flavor. The same day that we had this pizza we went to a birthday party. That evening, we were talking about how much we enjoyed that delicious pizza. We expressed how everything was first rate, the manager, the meatballs, etc. A couple we befriended that night heard what we were saying and asked about where this place was located. Apparently, this couple has eaten there several times and absolutely loves it! They also said that they have tried the lasagna and ever since trying it once, they never order anything else! Now I can't wait to go back and try the lasagna! So glad to find this place! You won't be disappointed it's the best New York pizza this side of New York !"

"It's a place where you walk up and order. There is a shaded patio area in front with a couple tables and chairs you eat at. I never had fusion like this before, I ordered the chicken shawarma tacos and upgraded my salad to a side of Tzatziki salad. The chicken was not dry at all and was flavored with Mediterranean spices. The hummus that came with the combo plate was delicious and smooth I ate it all. My favorite salad is Tzatziki so of course I had to have that upgrade and think there were small pieces of nopal in it?! It was a great lunch and glad my friend brought me along to try a unique spot. Vegan options available like the falafel."

"This place has excellent and healthy food. Big portions, great prices and most importantly, really good taste and quality. Since I love close by, I usually walk up and order. If it's busy and the order is going to take a while, I just go back at the time quoted and it's ready. And I get some steps in in the process. Im a pescatarian so I still to the non meat options. The felafel is so good! I usually don't like felafel because I'm often disappointed, but it has never been the case here. Perfect crunch outside, deliciously spiced and moist on the inside. I get the wrap or the plate and with the latter I usually have leftovers. I also like the cheese sambusik which are cheese empanadas. The foul is delicious and hearty. You get ALOT with the order and it comes with fresh tomatoes, pickles, hot peppers and pita bread. My meat eating friends really like the hummus with filet. I don't know how the owner does it all. He must work really hard and still doesn't skimp on quality. I like having this healthy option in the neighborhood. I just hope he doesn't burn out from all that he does."

"I'll have to make another return here to 'Every Table,' Los Feliz, Los Angeles, CA., some time soon but was just a quick restroom stop. Now that I'm writing this review, doing so actually made me realize I bought a box of Lemon Pepper Chicken salad, and that box is still in the car. Luckily, it was raining in Los Angeles, CA earlier today when I was driving this area, so I don't think the food would have spoiled. I better place that in the fridge. Cashier was very friendly: I asked if all boxed items sold were readily cooked since it was my first time here, he took time to answer all my questions. I was literally just in for a quick restroom break walking back to my car. I'll have to stop by to take more pics next trip. This cafe was kept extremely clean throughout. They sold mostly Vegan dishes to-go, ready-to-eat dishes if you have immediate access to a microwave, I'll be back again to try a drink or two. Thanks for your convenience!!!!Cya next time!!!!"

"My friends live by here and wanted to stop by for a quick lunch. When you walk in, you get this cafe/diner feel to it but with a more modern and welcoming look to it. I love the open kitchen where you can see them prepping the food.I tried the Chicken Battuta Panino and it was prepared really well. The chicken breast was moist, the avocado gave it a nice creamy texture, the crispiness from the bacon gave it a nice texture without overpowering it, and the ciabatta was light enough to hold it together. I tried some of my other friends' food and it had the same style to it. We liked this place so much that we can back the next day to try some more of their food. I tried the Hanger Steak Piadina and it also did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to a nice medium, it broke apart on every bite, not leaving pieces meatless areas in the panino and the simple flavors of the argula and cherry tomatoes were complementing. The food didn't taste heavy and was very well prepared.The staff is all super friendly and they even remembered us from the previous day. The food did not take long to come out either. Seating is limited here with maybe 10 seats inside, a front and rear patio. This place is fairly new, so I can only see it getting busier as it gains popularity. i'll be back here for more when I come visit my friends."

"Dune is a small restaurant located in Atwater Village offering a modern spin on Mediterranean cuisine, providing excellent food, good service, good vibes, and great value. After a short wait Saturday afternoon we each started with a Cardamom Cold Brew ($6) which was a light, refreshing, and slightly sweetened with oat milk and a cinnamon simple syrup. I had the Hummus & Fried Chicken Plate ($22); the Fried Chicken was excellent, moist, and topped with a delicious tahini and charmoula sauce. Accompanying it was a flatbread which was delicious, if slightly dry, topped with olive oil and spices. Flanking these two were a series of greens, olives, and sumac dill rice. Beneath all of these was a light, creamy hummus worthy of immersing the chicken and bread into, broken only by a welcome bite of pine nuts. My friend had the Hummus & Lamb Plate ($22), which was essentially identical except with several flavorful pieces of lamb which was slightly dry but otherwise delicious.Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, made excellent recommendations, and introduced us to the (new) seating arrangement; rather than ordering from the window, one is seated by the server much like a traditional restaurant. Seating is outdoor only, with tables, chairs, and umbrellas along one end of a T-intersection. It is easy to forget, however, that you are sitting on the street, due to an abundance of greenery shielding you from the bustle of Glendale Blvd. For its small location as a lunch-focused establishment, Dune really makes the most of the footprint it has. The value for food quality is good, perhaps excellent, and appropriate for the location. Order at the counter, pick your table, they bring you your food but you get your own flatware, napkins, water, leftover containers, etc.We had the beef entree (can't remember the names) and Asian chicken entree, and the beets and salad appetizers. All tasted amazing! While not cheap, it's definitely in the sweet spot of value - good portion sizes so that we had leftover portions for a second meal. We are so happy we found this little gem!"

"I've been to Kismet and I've worked in Burbank, but never had the pleasure of take-out chicken from Kismet Rotisserie until last week, when I bopped in for a quick office lunch. I plan to be in the area often this summer, and I'll be repeating this exact meal whenever I get the chance.I didn't even order my own lunch--it was waiting for me when I arrived, an absolute gift. It was a quarter chicken plate, the chicken accompanied by hummus, wedge salad, pickles, pita, chili oil, and garlic sauce. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, even more so with a dip in the chili oil and garlic sauce, and I loved the tangy pickles. The wedge salad was light and pleasant, with crisp lettuce, radishes, and miso poppy dressing, and I enjoyed the hummus. I also got some of the schmaltzy potatoes, an excellent side, fried beautifully brown and tender in chicken fat.I might visit Kismet Rotisserie in person one day, but I know I'll get it to go again. I have a pretty good sense of the take-out power rankings in Burbank, and this place is right at the top of the list."

We visited with a party of 4 and between the four of us we managed to enjoy reasonable mix of items on the menu and having shared most of the items, I can confidently say it doesn't matter what you order, you'll be satisfied (side note on pricing, both food and wine menus are very very reasonably priced for such a sit down restaurant). As far as service, you can tell everyone works as a team! Very rare to come across down a days. Everyone is paying attention to every table, not like other places where servers concentrate on their tables and can care less what happens on other tables. Also, attention to details, to make sure everyone has a great experience was exceptional. At one point, a staff member approached to adjust our wobbling table, which was so little that we had not even noticed. These things are small and unnoticed gestures but must be pointed out to show that customers do appreciate and they do notice! The dining areas was very warm and welcoming. You would expect the bread to be warm if you pick up right when they have the order ready but it's apparent they just throw in cold bread for takeout. The rotisserie chicken itself was a little gamey with no flavor or spices. The most disappointing part of it all was the sweet curry cauliflower. There were barely two bits of cauliflower and it was basically a raisin salad. We were thoroughly confused why this cost $2 more than the regular side with the chicken package. I wish I got a picture of it. The kids did not like this meal at all..."
