"Our new fave thai place AGAIN. We stopped going cos we found a closer place khun dang but then khun dang became too busy and pricy so we went back and the krua thai pad thai is a must!"
"After 5 visits, I can confidently say that this is my go-to spot for Pad Thai (which I don't really order much of at other places because they tend to be sweet) and Kra Pao. Pad Thai's well balanced in flavor. Noodles still chewy. The toppings are LEGIT. Kra Pao spice level is great. I used to ask for Thai Medium Spicy (yes, there's a difference between US and Thai spice levels) and now I don't even have to because it's on point. Ambiance makes you feel like you're in Thailand. Service is absolutely amazing all the time too."
Served with dried shrimp and tofu flavors. Flavors is sweet-savory fusion, salty and nutty.

"Golden Deli serves some of the best pho I have ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and meat. Their spring rolls are delicious. The staff are friendly and very attentive. While the wait can be annoyingly long, it's worth it."
"Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, Golden Tree Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers a taste of authentic Cantonese cuisine. While the exterior might not be fancy, step inside and be transported to a bustling atmosphere filled with delicious aromas and friendly service. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. You can easily enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. On my last visit, I shared with a friend wonton soup, shrimp fried rice and mapo tofu. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The restaurant is small and can get quite crowded, especially on weekends so prepared for a wait. Parking in Chinatown can also be tricky."
"My sister and I visited Nat's Thai Food just a few days ago. This was the closest food place to our hotel. Despite the mixed reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were greeted by a super welcoming older Asian lady. She gave us a genuine smile and offered us the menu. We were the only ones there. My sister got the yellow curry and I ordered the green curry with spring rolls. Although the lady that took our order was the only one there, she cooked our food very fast. The food was DELICIOUS! The spring rolls were crunchy on the outside but soft inside. My green curry had a very generous amount of tofu. :) Both of the curries were OUTSTANDING but they were both super hot. I highly recommend them both, just be careful not to burn yourself. We also got white rice to go with our curry. It was so good! If I have not made it obvious by now, I loved this place! The food was reasonably priced and I would definitely visit this hidden gem again if I am ever close to it. At the end, the lady handed our food with a very warm smile, which was the cherry on the cake. Definitely recommended!"
"Great service, even better food! We stumbled across it and decided to go in.We did not have to wait even though they were busy our server was extremely attentive. We ordered a few spicy tuna rolls, edamame, vegetable tempura and some delicious drinks . The atmosphere was lively yet intimate enough to hold a conversation. It was the perfect spot to get away from all the crowds outside. Smacked at the end of a busy/touristy area was an incredible restaurant. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for sushi."
"Definitely an interesting experience since I don't get to try Shanghainese Chinese cuisine often. From the flavors of the Xiao Long Bao and Curry Beef Noodle Soup, I was getting the "SAME-SAME, BUT DIFFERENT" experience. Like I've tried something similar, but it's slightly different here.5/5 for Xiao long bao. Very soupy when you pop it open on your soup spoon and sip. Gentle umami flavor. They give more ginger strips to enjoy with the soup dumplings to help cut through the porky flavor. Skin of the dumplings were perfect - did not break when picked up and not too thick. Would get again.3/5 for Curry Beef Noodle Soup. Noodles are thin egg noodles. A few pieces of thinly sliced beef and 2 leaves of bokchoy lol... Slight curry flavor with thin soup consistency. It tasted like beef soup mixed with curry powder. It's different compared to many other curry noodle soups I have tried. Would not get again.3/5 for Seasonal Crab Roe Noodles. This dish was okay... Think a remix on Uni pasta dish but with crab roe and lighter in creaminess and heaviness, served on thin noodles. You definitely taste the crab roe and the crabby flavor. I usually like crab dishes but this dish was very strong in flavor. They offer a side of vinegar to add to your dish and it does cut down on the super strong crabby flavor which made it more palatable for me. Would not get again.Love the interior design and ambiance is calm and quiet. A small getaway in the local area that transports you to some neighborhood of chinese (I guess it's Shanghai).Overall Service was good. They give you a water pitcher so you dont have to constantly ask for water. Menu can be seen with the QR code and you place your order on your phone. Staff were nearby so they can attend to you when needed. Their menu offers a couple of dimsum items too. I would come back to check those out next time."
"I would say the food was great but it wasn't necessarily authentic taiwanese food! They also are missing dan dan noodles from the menu (the noodles w ground beef are pictured and they are not similar to dan dan noodles). Lots of appetizer options and we got the pickled cucumbers. Overall really solid meal for the price (noodles were both $15 + change). There was a line when we got here but it moved fast and the service was quick too!"
"I'm always a little suspicious when ramen places top vegan ramen with cold, uncooked tofu -- it seems a little lazy to me -- but the broth in this vegan ramen was so delicious I didn't care about the tofu being cold. The broth was creamy and full of flavor. The toppings were a great pairing. The noodles... omg... the noodles! The service was great, super kind man took care of us. Parking was easy and the inside was spacious with three tables and bar space. 10/10 recommend!! You need to try this place for yourself"
"This location is much better than the el segundo location. The Chongqing chicken is absolutely incredible. The spice level, the crunchiness, it hits every time. The beef rolls are a go to for me as well. Whether you use the tasty dipping sauce or make one of your own with the table condiments.Give this spot a shot."
"What a find! Just delicious and excellent quality Thai food right in the neighborhood. They are not afraid of a little spice so be careful :-)I think it's all take-out so not much to say about service/ambiance. Basically just about the great food. Let's support this local business!"
"It was my first time eating here and I have to say, I will definitely be returning! Customer service was fantastic. Very attentive and answered any questions we had on the menu. We ordered the Wor Wonton Soup and the Famous Black Bean Noodles! When he said the noodles were a comfort food, he was not kidding. It really did feel like we were eating at home in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you're visiting the Japanese Village or Weller Court!"

It's been a while since we stopped off here. As we were in the neighborhood, popped in for a bite. Menu is still as it was from previous years but quantity has decreased quite a bit. Food doesn't take long to arrive but is always hot and fresh when brought out. Also, time seemed to have changed as they tend to close early even on a Saturday night. I remember being here after the bars but now it seemed to be closed pretty early. Food, from what we've ordered was good. The curry now is half of what they used to bring out. The soup, pipping hot when it comes out. The fried fish was great with the Thai chili sauce on the side. Pad see ew, good and flavors was great.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit Thai Town in LA. It's not very big, but located right in front of Silom Supermarket on evenings. There are a few street vendors setup just like if you were actually in Thailand. I'm really enjoying the vibe of this place and glad my friend recommended it to me. We parked in the lot next door, which is $3 for 90 minutes. We tried two of the stalls, which included a Pad See Ew ($10), Thai Boat Noodle ($7), and two Chrysanthemum drinks ($2 each). You do get a buzzer to be alerted when your food is ready, but they also call out your order. We got our food within 5-10 minutes.Although the price is pretty cheap, the portions are pretty small too. It does make for good sharing, so you can try more items though. I would recommend 2 dishes per person, but we weren't too hungry so this was perfect. I loved the flavors in both the pad see ew and Thai boat noodles; would definitely order both again.Delicious food and great vibes. This is definitely something you need to try in LA to get a little taste of Thailand.

Golden Deli has my heart. I dropped by for lunch and maybe 15 min later the restaurant was PACKED with people. Asian people! That's how you know this restaurant is elite. We ordered the egg rolls and the bun rieu. Both were 10/10. The egg rolls I've had before, but never fresh from dine-in. The outer skin is BEYOND crispy and the inside filling is sooo juicy and succulent. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The egg rolls come with your standard fixings of lettuce, pickled veggies, and fish sauce. The bun rieu has to be in the top 3 bun rieu I've tried. The broth was perfection. Not too pungent seafoody, but not bland either. It was well balanced and light but still very flavorful. The noodles were perfect - I usually never finish my noodles but I did that day! My only complaint is I wish they had more variety in the dish - the only meat was the homemade meat balls/loaf which I absolutely loved, but I wish there was more! Maybe pork loaf or shrimp balls, etc. I will be back ASAP to try everything else on their menu. Thank you Golden Deli!

Was craving some Chinese food while in LA since it is harder to find where I live. This place delivered! We were 4 and ordered enough food for probably 8!Some of my favorites were the Honey Walnut Shrimp (must try), Orange Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein. We also got the Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Rice, Cripsy Garlic Eggplant, Crispy Shrimp Bok Choy Toast. All this for $100 with 3 sodas! The portions were huge so we obviously took about half home. The restaurant is very basic, hole in the wall style. Service was fine. We were starving and the food came out reasonably quickly. If you're just looking for good Chinese comfort food and not necessarily a nice night out, this is your place!

Top 3 Thai restaurants in CA! Other two. 1. Buena Park 2. Van Nuys I'm a food snob and a chef trainee. Trust me when I say that this is the place you want to visit when in Hollywood! Another unforgettable thing about this place is the hospitality! The Thai woman that works here is so nice that you feel like your back home in your own small town where you always get greeeted by your best friend who's from Thailand or Asia with their cute little restaurant where they serve you what they know! I always get the Thai broccoli stir fry with steamed rice and shrimp with Thai tea or water. Or pad Thai! That's it!

Located in the heart of little Tokyo plaza, this is one of many sushi restaurants located here. We chose this one because we happened to be near it when we were getting hungry. Service was great, we were greeted and sat down right away. Our server took our order and the food was brought out promptly. The restaurant itself is very small but seemed authentic. The rolls were fresh. They do have restrooms available for customers only.

Date of visit: 1/29/2025 (Lunar new year lunch time)Wish I looked at the paper menu instead of the online menu. Paper menu shows which the signature dishes are; I believe online menu doesn't. DO ORDER THESE: - crab pork XLB: authentic Shanghai XLB! Very very good! Skin is not the thinnest but has very good texture. - gluten puff in Shanghai style: came out hot, it was so good! - pan fried pork bun: not your everyday pan fried pork bun as it's not really bun but more like thin bun-like layer covering the meat filling. It's good as it's not as heavy as a real bun would be. Filling very juicy and flavorful. Eat it like you do XLB: hold soup spoon with your left hand, chopstick the bun with your right hand and bite a little hole on the bun, pour the juice on your spoon and enjoy the yummy broth before eating the rest of the bun. - corn shrimp paste cake: very very good! I love these! - spicy diced pork: very tasty and not spicy at all for meDO NOT ORDER THESE: - scallion oil dry noodle: bland! noodle was way overcooked. - bean curd wrapped pork & vermicelli soup: bland. The bean curd wrap was way too thick. Desserts I ordered:- osmanthus ice jelly: not bad. Not too sweet which is always a plus on my book, but honestly I've had better elsewhere - iced lily and mung bean soup: it comes with a ball of sticky rice in the middle. I like the mung bean but not too crazy with the sticky rice. I believe this is my first time having sticky rice dessert with a clear thin sweet soup like this. Usually sticky rice dessert comes with thicker sauce....All in all I like this restaurant and will def come back and try their signature noodle dishes!

I visited this 'Noodle St,' branch for a quick take out experience. I was attending a nearby City of Pasadena, CA.,'s community event around the corner. Luckily I came across cheap meter parking so snatched it. I first learned about 'Noodle St.,' was from Santa Anita Mall, Arcadia, CA., location. I didn't enjoy my experience there either, but I did find the best suitable of all 'Noodle St.,' branches came from their 'City of Monrovia,' CA., branch. I'll stick to this Monrovia one.I was hoping food portions larger, but it actually didn't meet my expectations. Keeping it at 4-stars from the nice staff. A whole lot of food was the steamed rice, but I just think the ingredients that come with this entree need to be balanced. Just a thought.

"Cute small shop in a big shopping center. I've gone twice and service was always great. They were always attentive and quick.I've had the pho brisket both times and both times it was amazing. The broth is so flavorful and fresh tasting. The brisket was tender and delicious.I could honestly just drink their broth and be happy.I also tried the fried bao, it was really good, I just wish it had some type of sauce or chili oil for it, it can be a bit dry. But the flavor was great."
"10 million stars!!!! Order the pork belly & jowl bossam, new item on their menu.......BOMB!!!I just had it yesterday and now, I'm making plans of going again, and again, and again.Amazing staff!"
"Rolled in on a Monday night around 6pm with a four top. Got seated immediately and within 10 minutes there was a wait. The service was nothing to write home about but we got food. We asked questions about the menu and our server was pretty short and not all that helpful so we punted. We ordered a mix of items and hoped for the best. Scallion pancakes were crunchy and a little greasy and tasty. The chicken and pork pot stickers were delicious. They felt homemade and were cooked to perfection. The ground pork noodles were not good although the server Implied they were a house favorite. The Liang Ban noodles were served cold and were a spicy, 4-star dish. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc was $12 and our guests had two. The ambience is ok, it's cramped and loud when busy. I felt not compulsion to photograph the food other than a couple of shots of noodles so that probably tells you all you need to know. It served a purpose but I don't know that I would return for a repeat of anything we had."
"This is a reliable pho spot - not phenomenal but I would return due to proximity to me! The portions are big and flavorful. I went with the beef wagyu pho and my only criticism is that I wish the meat was in smaller pieces so I could get more balanced bites. I enjoyed the toppings bar which contains limes, sprouts, green onions, onions and jalapenos. The service was average, not bad not great. If I would've been asked how I was doing throughout the meal I probably would've ordered a side of egg rolls to try out."
"Jjamppong Zizon is a new Korean/Chinese restaurant in Ktown that serves some delicious comfort food without all the grease.Jjajangmyun - the noodles were handmade and so chewy! I loved the black bean sauce for its tastiness without greasy heaving feeling. I think I've found one of my favorite spots for this dish.Sweet and Sour Pork - it was lightly crispy on the edges and chewy due to the rice flour. Absolute perfection. It came with a side of thinly sliced onions and the sauce served on the side. Everything complemented so well. The sauce wasn't as dank as other places but I liked the mild flavor and lighter feeling.Pan Fried Dumplings were fantastic. Fried to crispy perfection.Parking: Flat fee on Saturdays and Sundays $5 in the parking lot behind the restaurant. It says $3 with validation but the machine still charged $5. At the time of the review."
"Great service!!! Delicious food.We went for our friend's birthday. The decor is pretty. All kind of tasty drink.Staff is very friendly and helpful.Highly recommend!!"
"Discovered Siam Sunset via an Eater article, and I'm very happy that I did! It was an excellent recommendation. We decided to get lunch takeout from here yesterday and it did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each was delicious and flavorful. I would definitely come back. The menu items I got to try included the Hainan Chicken, Roasted Duck Curry, Roasted Duck Noodle Soup, and Spicy Pork Basil. My favorites were the Hainan Chicken and Roasted Duck Curry. The restaurant itself was very busy when I arrived, which is a good sign. After trying the food, I know why!"
"Took my daughter here for a weekday lunch..it was so good that even my 7 year-old complemented the staff! She got a butter pasta and I had the tagliatelle with artichokes. Al dente pasta that is complemented--not overpowered-----by the sauce. Will go back again next time!"
"MDK Noodles is such a solid spot for korean soup for any occasion. Parking was pretty easy since there's a structure nearby, and the parking meters were available given it was a Saturday. It's kind of hidden on the corner of a busy street, but not too hard to find. This was my second time here, and I had to get the Kalguksu and spicy Kalguksu again. They give you a big portion of noodles, so it feels super worth the price, which also wasn't drastically expensive from other soup restaurants. We waited about 30-40 minutes, but honestly, it was worth it. The food hit the spot, and I left feeling full and satisfied."
"Family owned spot with other locations in LA. Came here for dinner with a friend in a rainy night around 7:30pm on a Wednesday; the place was buzzing but I was able to get a table for us right away. There's indoor and outdoor seating. They were out of the veggie pho so I tried the bun bo hue here. There was a giant piece of bone with no meat and limited meat otherwise, but I liked the flavor. It was only slightly spicy so it should appeal to a broader palate. There are options like sandwiches and plates if you're not feeling like pho. The servers were nice and efficient. Overall, a food spot for a casual meal."
"I had the General Orange Chicken with white rice and a spring roll it was absolutely delicious! My goal is to try everything on the menu so I can give you all updates on how all the dishes are. (Excuse my photo--I added soy sauce way too early and forgot to snap it for Yelp first, lol.)As you can see, Hoys Wok is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants to visit in West LA. First off, I love the owners--they are beyond sweet and super friendly, not just to me but to everyone who visits. For my Yelp family, here's a helpful tip: if you're planning to order food for a potluck or holiday party, make sure to plan ahead! They get really busy this time of year, which makes sense--great food, excellent service, and a community that clearly loves them.Happy Holidays, everyone! Enjoy!"
"Seriously THEEE best Pho! It's amazing how every time I mention this 2-location chain, the people already know! I actually haven't been to a lot of Pho spots, but my Vietnamese friend has, and she's taken me to the authentic hole in the wall family owned business around the second largest Vietnamese populated city in the US (which is in OC). But when I brought her here, she was absolutely shocked at how good it is...both the food and the service! My favorite is the Filet Mignon Pho. I always have to get it. I also love that you get unlimited noodles with your bowl, so I always order extra to have a second meal saved with my left over broth. They do serve other items that I haven't yet tried, but plan to. On the weekends there can be a long wait, but you can join the waitlist right in the Yelp app while you're on your way to cut the wait time. Just make sure you arrive when they text that your table is ready, or you could get bumped off."
"Hallmarks of a Dim Sum Joint:Pushy Asians dressed head to toe in Gucci yelling the number of People in their Party to get a number to be placed on a waiting list.Rice Noodles are freshly made and the ingredients are chef's kiss.1. Rice Noodles 2. Golden Lava Bun3. Minced Meat Preserved Radish4. Seafood Porridge Chef Tony is a solid place for dim sum."
"Zzamong -- interesting name but don't let the preceding "zz" doze you off. I was knocked out off my feet, in a good way, on the great experience.Although OC has enough Korean noodle houses. We drove across town after hearing about this mom-pop shop. The restaurant is small, quaint with outdated decor. It's also located in small (kinda rundown area) with limited parking whereas a non-descriptive "vendor" requests money to park. I've watched some cars were charged and two cars just pulled into the lot. Upon entering, we were quickly greeted by a very funny and witty server/owner! He's energetic and has a few tricks up his sleeve that's he not shy in showing to the patrons. We say a wall full of happy (but maybe hard headed folks) whom claimed victory eating/finishing a bowl of extra fire spice! I'm a wimp so stayed at level-3 spice which burned my tongue!!!!We ordered the classic black noodles bowls - vegan and one with light spicy (level 0.5, yes, it's 0.5 for the novices).I love my generous spicy seafood noodles! Unbelievably, good with strong base and good amount of squid, shrimps, clams and mussels!!! I was beyond stuffed but managed to eat a couple fried dumplings (courteous of Yelp checkin offer)!!!"
"Highly recommend! Very close to USC, this is about as good as it gets for students. For people don't like meat, this place has many vegetables and all sorts of noodles.Wish it opens earlier for early birds. It fast, convenient and delicious! Thank you."
"This restaurant is really yummy and so reasonable. They have happy hours almost every day, and the food items are really good. They also have wonderful lunch specials. The service has always been super friendly and I can't imagine how anybody wouldn't love this place. My daughter and I keep coming back to try every item and so far they've all been delicious"
"Have been eatting here for 20 years since it used to be My Thai. We definitely have our favorites such as the red curry, Tom ka kah, but I wish the chicken had more flavours, the protein lacks flavour and the texture is dry, instead I get everything veggie base and am happy. Cashew chicken though is definitely one of our favorites."
"I came here with my mom after I picked her up from her dental appt. She chose this place because she had wanted soft noodles, nothing spicy or hard from her extraction today. This place is across the street from the Galleria market. Parking lot is pretty small and tight, but I was lucky to find one to the side corner so that was great, and even though the place was packed, we got seated right away as we entered, another plus!! We looked at the menu and noticed a huge bowl of noodles the lady was eating next to us. Mom asked her what she was eating and she said it was the noodles with the anchovy broth with clams. Mom then said to just share the big bowl because she can only eat so much and her novocane didn't wear off, so she said she had a funny taste in her mouth and couldn't chew very well. As soon as the lady brought us a warm tea and 2 side dishes we ordered the same dish as the lady next to us, I've decided to cut the radish and kimchi into smaller bite sizes and easier to eat for mom. There were tongs and scissors to cut the food which came in handy, another plus. Mom enjoyed her noodles and she said she was well stuffed after she finished her bowl. I'd say it was a hearty bowl, great taste, not salty at all, which was another plus!! And the ladies were nice to check up and ask if we had needed anything, great service. We both finished our bowls and then Mom said it was well worth it and had a great price for us to share. We had a great dining experience here for the first time and we highly recommend it.Thanks Miari Noodle House team for the great service today!!"
"Foods were a total bomb! We'll definitely be back for more!Service was stellar. Ideal for a small group of friends."
"Dan modern Chinese is a somewhat new take on traditional Chinese food. It is all great. It is a small chain and each one is great. We like this one. It is so clean and super cute and comfortable. It can get crowded, but they will get you seated without too long a wait. We try to stick to weeknights. You can also get take away or have it delivered. They have hand-made dumplings and hand made noodles. You have to try both. This is not fast food Chinese. It is the best. The food is all so fresh and just so tasty. For starters try the scallion pancake with soy ginger dipping sauce. Their popcorn shrimp with toasted garlic, green onions, and cilantro is some of the best we have ever had. Their handmade dumplings with pork are just the best. All of their dumplings are made fresh and you will wait 30 minutes for them so order them right away. They are some of the best you will ever have, I mean ever. You also must have their shrimp with crab sauce. It has shrimp, crab, garlic, ginger, and wonderful green onions. Their short rib dan mein and their shrimp dan mein is so good. They are prepared with snow pea leaves, shiitake mushrooms, and an amazing garlic sauce and all their noodles are hand made. The service is just great. You feel at home there. It is a lovely place."
"After living in LA for 4 years, I can count the number of times I've had delicious pho in Los Angeles on one hand.I was worried this would be another gentrified Vietnamese spot, but it had been TOO long since I've had authentic Vietnamese and I needed my fix!First impression: Well priced, beautiful presentation, and an elevated take on classic Vietnamese dishes. We ordered the crab spring rolls and brisket banh cuon to start. I absolutely loved their take on the classic banh cuon. The sliced red chili peppers on top gave it a nice kick and each piece had a healthy portion of tender brisket. For the main, we ordered the butcher and filet pho. Each slice of meat was tender and the broth was fragrant, flavorful, and most importantly authentic!Me will most definitely be back to try the rest of the menu"
"Delicious ramen! We had the chicken ramen and garlic pork shoyu ramen! The ramen had so much flavor and I'mSo excited this place opened up! Also; Janet was such a great waitress , super attentive and friendly . Will definitely be back"
"AUTHENTIC FOOD! Located in the middle of Korea Town in the Korea Town Galleria Mall, this spot is a really good. Indoor shopping plaza with cute stores and even better dining. This place seemed like one of the local favorites in this galleria shopping plaza. This seemed to be mostly locals here. Authentic, freshly made food to order. I ordered the fried dumplings and they were really tasty. This place is a mom & pop restaurant that is cafeteria style eating. Small spot but many options to choose from. The plus was, they gave us two orders for the price of one. Guess we got lucky! If you're ever in the Korea Town area of Los Angeles, CA, check them out."
