"Ahh such a good experience here! Celebrated a friend's birthday and the skewers were sooo good! The servers were attentive and there was a lot of space to enjoy a late night dinner. We got the Gui Dan Dan Noodles & Scallion Oil Noodles - both were really good! I liked the scallion one best! In terms of skewers, I really enjoyed the ones we ordered: Premium Beef, Pork Jowl, Fish Tofu, Pork Belly, and Shrimp!"
"The wraps are very good and for a reasonable cost, we ordered pickup and will be adding Dama to our mix of where to order from when we are too lazy to cook. The meat has a lot of flavor, and the wraps are very filling. The falafels are also pretty good. Don't skimp on the sauces, garlic is dank but delicious. They also give a pretty substantial amount of fries, so if your kids are fry monsters like mine, they will be happy."

"My wife was craving Chinese BBQ lamb skewers, so we randomly decided to try this hidden gem and we're so glad we did! The shopping plaza is always busy, so I recommend heading to the back for parking; otherwise, you might get stuck in the main lot. When we walked in, the server was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain how everything worked, including how to navigate the app to place our order. One pleasant surprise was that both of our kids automatically got free kids' meals! Another highlight: the large lamb skewers, normally $3.75, are only $1 before 6 PM. The only catch is that it's dine-in only, but with unlimited orders, it's a fantastic deal. The lamb skewers were delicious. super flavorful with just a hint of spice. The squid and squid feet were also great; we asked for them to be less spicy for the kids, and they turned out perfect. The okra was tasty, though a bit on the salty side, but that's what beer is for, right? Overall, this place is a great find with excellent food at an unbeatable price. We'll definitely be back!"
"If you're looking for GOOD chicken come here !! Haven't had good chicken in a while. The service was very nice. Would come to CAFE FooDelicious"
"This is the best doner i've had in LA. It rivals the ones i've had in Europe. Bread is perfect. Portion is perfect. Meat is perfect. Perfectly balanced. You know that dry stuff that you're served at almost every other place in LA? Not here. The owner prides himself in sourcing the best french bread and nawhal's sauces from Belgium. I had the Algerienne sauce which was a mild.If you want a real doner, come here. I know i'll always be coming back.Suggestion for the owner, sell soft drinks for easy profit. A coke goes perfectly with the perfect doner sandwich. They're sort of a pop up right now, so follow them on @ledonerkebabla on Instagram for their schedule. Hidden gem right now, but I fully expect this place to become super popular in a year or two. Also, bring cash, cash only for the time being. They accept Zelle and Bitcoin too. $12 for the sandwich or wrap."
"This place hits the spot. It took me along time passing this place before I decided to try it. Glad I did this place is CASH ONLY was a green flag for me that it was going to be good it does have a ATM with a fee so be ware. Services was great. Ambiance was clean and lots of seating definitely a whole in the wall kind of spot. Definitely going back many times and I recommend."
"So glad we came across this place during an unfortunate stay at the hospital nearby. Got the vibe as soon as I read a sign saying "'Good food takes time. Call someone you love while you wait theywill appreciate it." That hit the spot during a time like this. Food was great and yes, we didn't make calls but used the time to chat and have meaningful conversation. The man at the cashier was very nice and welcomed us like family. Skirt steak sandwich was great. Bread was perfect. It wasn't overloaded with unnecessary ingredients. Cesar salad was huge! We shared and still had leftover. Fries are a higher gem with perfect crust and balanced flavor. Skirt steak plate I didn't try but my son scarfed it down in 2 minutes and gave me a thumbs up!"
"This place sets the bar for me for Persian food! I don't have a lot of options in NorCal, so this was a treat.tried the ghormeh sabzi, tahdig, and a lamb shank dish. all were phenomenal. the sabzi was flavorful and rich, the tahdig had a nice crunch, and the lamb shank - well, it's very difficult for lamb shank not to be amazing.will definitely come back next time I'm in the area."
"I am so happy this place is down the street from me, as this will definitely become my go to place for lunch as well as dinner. The prices are reasonable, the staff friendly and the food amazing."
"Upon coming here, a current customer told us this is the best Turkish food in town. She was not joking! I ordered a doner bowl and my friend ordered the kebab skewers entree. We absolutely loved it: the buttery flavored rice, well seasoned meat, nice salad on side that comes with and a pita bread to top it off. Although we were so full, had to try the baklava: fresh and crispy, hands down the best I've ever had due to not being so sweet. Finally someone answered my prayers about not making them too sweet. This is a sweet family restaurant and the daughter is super helpful and friendly especially with interpreting my compliments to the chef for a delicious meal. Highly recommend this place!"
"So delicious! Located next to Mashti Malone's ice cream shop, I noticed they recently opened after I made an ice cream stop. Finally just got their koobideh kabob combo and it was terrific. When it comes to kabob, it's all about the quality of meat, seasoning, freshness and, obviously, taste. The kabob here passes all those qualifiers, and given the affordable prices for the combo, which comes with rice and side dish, I absolutely give this spot my stamp of approval!"

10/08/24 Solid 3.5 stars! This was my first time at a Chinese Skewer restaurant- think yakitori style. Skewers of raw meat cooked on an open flame. We were here for a business dinner so sadly the camera couldn't eat first as much as I would have liked to have shared. The menu is incredibly huge for a bbq skewers restaurant. We ordered a bunch of different meat skewers to try and grabbed some appetizers too! Service was spotty. Towards the end of our Tuesday meal, getting the check was a bit of a wait. Maybe an off night. I'd be back if in town with the family. The wagyu and chicken cartilage was memorable. Oh and their seasoned peanuts! Yummm.

The chicken kebab wrap HITS! The pomegranate molasses is so genius. The wrap is an insane savory bite with a touch of sweetness that just... so good. Very unique, I've never had anything like that. Plus, the prices in this economy?! It's not a huge wrap, but it's got a good amount of meat in it and is filling enough. Restaurant had nice, clean seating and I parked in the market parking lot (not sure if I'm supposed to or not?) I'll definitely be back.

Great spot to meet friends to catch up over flavorful skewers and cheap beer. They're open until 1am daily. Each table has a call button to grab your server, no need to look around for someone when you need something. Skewers all come out cooked and they place it on parchment paper over tea candles to keep them warm. I hate when my food becomes cold when you're chit chatting with friends and family. Chef Special Squid - just a small kick but not crazy, seasoned well. Squid was cooked just right and wasn't tough or rubbery. Chef Special Chicken Bone - is what you think it is. It's the chicken carcass they sauteed with tons of spices. Very flavorful. Spring Roll - wasn't too greasy, came out just crispy. Great for kids.French Fries - crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.Chicken Gizzard was cooked just right and wasn't tough. Beef skewers were great, cumin really shines through their marinate.

Didn't look that appealing from the outside because there was advertising all over the windows so you couldn't see what it looked like inside. Once inside however it was clearly a family run restaurant with a couple taking orders and preparing food and (presumably) their kid hanging out at one of the tables. This definitely made it feel friendly and welcoming. The food was great with generous portions and attentive service.

OMG!!! This was amazing! The young Frenchman who made this stayed busy all night. The pita was completely stuffed full. So delicious. I was tortured with the delicious aroma for over half an hour as he worked through over a dozen orders ahead of mine. I may have to order one for the road if he has any ingredients left.

"Been going to this place for years & it's my go to place for skewers! They do a happy hour day 12-5 PM for 10% off on certain days of the week (: Service is quick, the workers speak mandarin, & they usually have NBA or some sports playing in the background. Great place to take friends! I highly recommend the toasted buns with condensed milk for dessert. My favorite thing about this place is the seasonings you dip the meat in Parking: I recommend doing street and walking, there is no lot."
"y4* Sidewalk GrillKabob donner place on Vermont in LACasualFood is deliciousService is very friendlyGood place for a snackStreet parking"
"MUST TRY!! My husband and I tried the beef lule plate. We also got the eggplant caviar. Both were solid and soooo good. I don't know what they put in their rice but I can eat that every day. There isn't anything negative I can say about this place. Maybe more seating? The main guy that takes your order is so nice. He always converses with everyone. It's the small things."
"New Spot!!! Ambiance- It felt like a kabob spot you would eat at late night in Europe or Australia! The owner helped us pick our sandwiches. He recommended the tandoori chicken sandwich. We got the tandoori chicken sandwich and the chicken breast sandwich. Omg!! SO good! the service was excellent! Helped us picked good sandwiches, gave us extra pickles and went above and beyond to give us fresh jalapeño! The sandwich's were simple, fresh and SO flavorful!! I hope this new business does well!"
"I talked too soon. I love me a good GYRO WRAP. This place did not disappoint the first time around. However, coming back I'm. Finding they aren't very consistent on what goes on the gyro wrap. Location is ok until trying to get out. Very busy street across from Target. Nice place. Enough for a few tables plus outside seating."
"The food here is good. It's a little pricey for what it is but prices for everything seem to be higher these days. Our kids loved the pasta salad side. The babaganoush was one of the better ones I've had recently. It seemed like most people do to go and delivery orders as we were the only ones eating in the restaurant."
"Okay... FIRST THING'S FIRST. Their hours say open til 5, but really, they STOP SERVING AT 4pm. Not sure why their hours say otherwise. they need to change this, or continue serving til 5. I've been burned multiple times. arriving at 4:30 (sorry, we're closed) and arriving at 3:50 (sorry we're closing)CHANGE YOUR HOURS.other than that....their food IS INCREDIBLE. the chances that I HAVE gotten to eat their food have never disappointed me. everything is flavorful and fresh. their service is a little slow, but they are nice people.HOURS.... PLEASE CHANGE YOUR HOURS."
"Ayo!!! Reviewing another Kebab place for ya. Ara's is fairly new and is located on Sunset in East Hollywood. They have an assortment of Fresh Kebabs that they cook to order as well as Shawarma. I ordered the Beef Lulu Kebab plate that came with flat bread, Rice Pilaf, Hummus and side salad. I give this place 4/5, everything was seasoned well. Street Parking is available, plenty of seating and staff was super friendly. Support the small businesses. I think they are also offering the Dubai Chocolate Bar now."
"Kabab-G is half a year old but I just discovered the place. Great food. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the shawarma and hummus."
"The food is amazing the service is amazing and with the little time they're open I find a way to always support rafos cafe. Hands down best Armenian pizza !"
"A friend recommended this top and this is probably our favorite skewers spot in LA. The meat quality was really good with a good blend of seasoning and the rotating grill is convenient to even out the cooking on all sides. The spicy lamb, tendon, intestines, and beef were all excellent! We also ordered eggplant and Mala Tang for some noodles which is also delicious but we were so stuffed. A great spot for large groups and good for drinking and eating family-style. Looking forward to coming back."
"I called and placed an order for their Tonir plate which serves 5 to 7 people on Wednesday and before I tell you how amazing the food, the generosity, the service and the staff were let me tell you they use quality meats because I warmed up the leftovers today And they still tasted amazing. Must try this place. Best Armenian kebab in Burbank. Hands down. Ask for Margaret. She's so sweet. She gave me a free appetizer for my birthday then surprised me by not taking money for the entire order. A giving business is a growing business. Always give to grow. Be generous with your staff, your budget and your customers and you'll never stop growing. Keep serving Armenian hospitality like no other. Thank you."
"So delicious. Some of the best ghormeg sabzi. Quick serve, and it's kosher!! One of my favorites in LA."
"My friend and I were meetng at this little strip mall to eat at a different place, but the aromas wafting from Cali Tandoor were far too enticing so we decided to eat here instead. My friend got the lamb biryani (I don't know how to spell any of these) and I got the chicken tikka masala. Friend is an experienced Indian foodie and she asked for not quite medium spicy / hot. We shared both and wow, honestly some of the most delicious food ever, and I am not one of those people who says that. I told my husband that I wanted to order it for pickup for us for Christmas Eve, but sadly they were closed. As soon as we can (we don't eat out much) we will be ordering for pickup. Honestly very delicious."
"spice level 2 is reallly spicy yall. first time trying dry pot (flavorful) & it was amazing, scrumptious. i recommend eating it with rice! parking underground (get it validated), street parking"
"This is the place to enjoy a great meal, especially those who don't yet know they like Persian food. With mild seasonings in comforting food, I think anyone would find something to love here. Our server Victor gave excellent, warm, attentive service. We sat in a comfortable booth. **Baba ganoush (eggplant dip) - excellent appetizer, beautifully plated, drizzled with tahini sauce, so delicious and lightly smoked. I love it also by the spoonful without pita bread **Stewed Lamb shank bademjan - a little pricey for $31 but so worth it. The lamb falls off the bone, rich stew, more eggplant, yes! Not a fan of the crunchy rice, but the basmati rice is so light and fluffy. It was as amazing as many years ago before Javan closed their business and thankfully reopened last year. Had extra to bring home as well. **Chicken chunk skewer - one skewer of chicken breast, moist, and well seasonedI've had their beef koobideh and grilled vegetables, all great. Sumac sprinkled over the rice adds some tartness.Very clean bathroom and on some nights you'll hear a live piano. By the entrance is a case with tempting lemon bars and baklavah. It's a more upscale environment, though some customers dress casually. Of all the Persian restaurants in West LA, Javan is my top choice."
"You HAVE to try the apricot-cherry chicken! Don't forget the baghali polo!So good, just like homemade."
