"Such a cute place, small but with enough seating. For two people, we ordered the 5 combo handrolls and it was a good snack between meals. The food came out in about 10-minutes with a cute trash bin to put the wrappers. My favorite was the salmon and chopped yellowtail. We will definitely be back to try more of their handrolls!"
"Just had the most amazing Omakase at this gem of a restaurant. The fish was so incredibly fresh with the most sublime flavors, prepared and presented so beautifully by Chef Yutaka-san. Joey and Akiko were very attentive and personable, helping to make this all such a special experience. My new favorite sushi spot and I cannot wait to be back."

"Hands down the best experience at the sushi bar!!! Service and ambiance is good and the sushi is always great."
"We took advantage of dineLA week prix-fix 5 course for $50 per person and enjoyed the experience.- location: Ktown. Parking is a bit difficult. Street parking is limited. Parking garage is mostly for bussiness or residents. Make sure check the signs. Some garage close after 7 PM. So, you may not be able to get your car out after 7 PM.- Ambiance: very modern and spacious inside. Not what we expected from the outside appearance of the old building. - Meals: good value with DineLa deal. Otherwise, it is relatively spendy with regular menu.Kaseiki tradition menu with multiple courses.Sakizuke: assorted seasonal appetizers came with snail, chilled shrimp,, seaweeds, potatoes. Acquired taste. Probably the best thing on this plate is the gelly palate cleanser.Tsukuri: assorted sashimi. Very fresh and high quality fish. Salad. Beautiful presentation.Toban: we chosed ribeye steak and seafood on sizzling plate. Both are well cooked and seasoning, served with miso soup and pickles.Deserts: japanese panna cotta. Very light.- Service: pleasant and attentive.Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience but not sure if we will hurry back anytime soon."
"Deeeeee-licious! Took my friend out to an appreciation dinner and he said, "it was the BEST sushi I've EVER HAD" so looks like I showed the right amount of gratitude. Everything was soooo fresh! Service was friendly, helpful and advised us during our entire experience. The Yuzu Margaritas were suspiciously addicting...so good we stayed just a little past close. Matsuhisa won't let you down and best believe you will not leave with a frown ."
"We came here on a weeknight and opted for their regular AYCE menu since it was only $35/person. We were definitely able to eat $70 worth of food. SERVICEThe food came out relatively quick and the staff were attentive. There is no limit of items per round, nor is there a limit of rounds, as long as you order within the 90 minutes and you only order the next round when all your food from the previous round arrived. FOODFor AYCE $35/person, this placed exceeded my expectations for the food they offered. I was a particular fan of the yellowtail kama as it was cooked jsut right and the fish tasted so delicious. I would not recommend the tako wasabi, miso soup or shishito peppers if you don't like salty food. The nigiri unfortunately does have a full portion of rice so it will fill you up quickly. PARKINGIt's in a strip mall that is shared with an AYCE KBBQ place but fortunately the restaurant itself offers parking to customers behind their building. WOULD I COME BACK AGAIN?The BF says we can have date night here again!"
"Great service, even better food! We stumbled across it and decided to go in.We did not have to wait even though they were busy our server was extremely attentive. We ordered a few spicy tuna rolls, edamame, vegetable tempura and some delicious drinks . The atmosphere was lively yet intimate enough to hold a conversation. It was the perfect spot to get away from all the crowds outside. Smacked at the end of a busy/touristy area was an incredible restaurant. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for sushi."
"Went here last night after a co-worker raved about the food and it did not disappoint! The quality of the cooked food and sushi was top notch and the service impeccable! Each dish was prepared with love by the sushi chef, and the portions were perfect! My photos are just a portion of what was served. Will definitely be back here again!"
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ima, a sukiyaki and shabu-shabu restaurant in Beverly Hills known for serving delicate, fatty slices of wagyu. The wagyu here is the same high-quality meat offered by the restaurant next door, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.I opted for the sukiyaki set, which was incredibly delicious but notably rich, especially with the addition of the egg yolk. While I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors, it was quite a decadent meal. Next time, I am eager to try the shabu set, hoping for a slightly lighter experience. One of the standout features of Ima is the ample parking available behind the restaurant, making it convenient for diners. The staff is exceptionally professional and attentive, cooking the beef to perfection right at your table. If you are a fan of wagyu, I highly recommend giving Ima a try. The quality of the meat, the skillful preparation, and the overall dining experience make it a must-visit."
"The wagyu and king crab were super fresh and tender, best we had so far. The appetizers are awesome too, Im curious how they made everything so tender. We had 3 desserts luckily, on top of the famous banana pie, the matcha pudding was very good too. The cream brûlée didn't surprise me tho. Looks like small portion, but was more than enough for me and my husband. Which we went with one combo with extra people, not 2 orders. Service was great too, she would kneel down to explain everything before we order, and gave my baby free meal with extra dessert. Also we walked in without reservation, and had our seat no problem. Great experience."
"My visit to Yess Restaurant left me with mixed feelings. I was anticipating traditional Japanese cuisine with raw fish, but the experience fell short of my expectations. Perhaps it's because I'm not fond of vegetable-based dishes, which seemed to dominate the menu, leaving me feeling a bit disappointed. Additionally, the only meat option, pork, was disappointingly dry. Overall, I wouldn't highly recommend it, especially if the price matches the test menu. It didn't quite hit the mark for me.While the decor at Yess Restaurant is sleek and trendy, The overall ambiance felt a bit empty, which detracted from the dining experience. Unfortunately, the lack of customers seemed to impact the professionalism of the waiter. When asking questions, I found the responses lacking in knowledge and confidence, which was disappointing. While the setting may be stylish, the service could use some improvement to match."

Excellent fresh fish, plastic wrapped nori so it doesn't get soggy before you eat it and good variety of hand rolls too!! The place is small with a handful of high top tables and a wrap around counter. I imagine most of their business is to-go/ delivery?? Anyway, highly highly recommend.

10/10 sushi experience. We did the deep sea omakase and we were blown away with the freshness and flavor of the fish. Each bite was amazing and i can't even put into words how great not only the fish was but the sushi rice.10/10 for everything. And the yuzu ice at the end. Wow. No better way to finish off the best omakase to date. The service was outstanding as well. Very sweet people and very knowledgeable about everything that is being served.MUST TRY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been craving shabu shabu for a while so I made a reservation at AB for my husband, cousin and myself. With a reservations was easier because we did not wait. First, the waitress was very helpful with the menu, she clarified any questions and gave us tips like Rib-eye portion was small small so to order the medium instead. We were able to get yup and mix out doing sauce, I recommend the ponzu, so delicious. We ordered karaage which was delicious. My husband got fried rice and he said it was great, comparable to fresh Benihana fried rice. We got white rice. We got pork belly and rib eye, the meat was very fresh. All the veggies was colorful and fresh as well.I think I got the house broth which I thought was delicious. The pot maintains a hot temperature and the food cooks rather quickly. Overall, I would visit again.

This establishment is still open even though Yelp suggests it might not be.This is a small establishment, and they only have one person, sometimes two people working the sushi bar.If you come in with the right attitude and have patience and understanding that this is artisanal experience that will take time, you will be rewarded. The best experience is had at the sushi bar.Don't be afraid to order your known staples that can be had at any other restaurant. I'm still a fan of Tuna Rolls and Shrimp Tempura Rolls that are not fancy and order those as well. The sushi bar staff can tailor things to taste if you have had some prior experience with omakase. Feel free to ask for suggestions. The best items are the special items on the board with Market Price. I am a very big fan of the Hokkaido scallops. If you like real Japanese beer, they have Orion Beer from Okinawa, Japan. The restaurant also carries a very good selection of sake, both cold and hot. The sushi bar staff can recommend drink pairings for the meal. While the restaurant does not have the looks and ambiance of the top tier sushi restaurants, I go here specifically for the experience that cannot be found anywhere else.

Between the Umaya omakase lunch and the chef's choice Yume menu, it's hard to pick which one I liked more. The lunch omakase was a fun option because you made your own hand rolls with all the ingredients they laid out before you. There were 12 different sashimi, sushi rice, nori, very low sodium soy sauce, and 5 different salts (kombu, ume, matcha, sakura, and yuzu). The Yume menu was a course meal with so many delicious items and some that even brought back nostalgia for me. My mom used to always make me chawanmushi as a kid and this one, I have to say, tasted even better than hers with the silky texture and mix-ins. I also really enjoyed the broiled fish which they change seasonally and ours was miso black cod. It was unforgettable. If there was an option to have it as an entree, I would not hesitate to order it. There were also 12 pieces of sushi of which I surprisingly liked the bluefin the best. That's not to say the others weren't good, because they were, it just stood out a lot more with how tender and thick the cut was.The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxed and intimate, so it's perfect for date night or a fun hangout with friends. Parking would be street if you're lucky or at a nearby structure and then walk from there.

If you can afford to eat here, you need to come enjoy the excellent sushi and cooked dishes here. An unassuming restaurant considering it's Beverly Hills, with fast (though brusque) service and a very diverse menu. The elevated Japanese food you would get at Nobu (same owner) but in a much less pretentious space.Every bite was super high quality from the perfectly crisped crispy rice and spicy tuna (best version of this dish I've ever had), the baked crab hand roll (ugly presentation but very tasty), nicely grilled A5 wagyu (get it with NO SAUCE, the miso did not work and I am so glad I asked for it on the side even if the server was skeptical, lol), yummy black miso cod, buttery uni donburi ($$$$$), and rock shrimp tempura that was a big hit. I would recommend skipping the tempura as it is no better than your neighborhood Japanese spot and there are more fun things to try on the menu. The oysters are also a skip.

Located in the heart of little Tokyo plaza, this is one of many sushi restaurants located here. We chose this one because we happened to be near it when we were getting hungry. Service was great, we were greeted and sat down right away. Our server took our order and the food was brought out promptly. The restaurant itself is very small but seemed authentic. The rolls were fresh. They do have restrooms available for customers only.

"This is our second time at chubby cattle Rosemead branch! The food is always excellent @ chubby cattle with top notch customer service! This place gets packed fast. I highly advise u to make an reservation in advance. FYI, Birthday person gets $45.95 off on your birthday."
"Yes, I finally went back to the place and everything was great as always. Last time, I didn't have a good experience with the servers but the staffs tonight is amazing. The owner (I believe) Cherrie reached out to me immediately last time and offered me 2 hand rolls to compensate for my experience and asked me come back to give it another try.I came at 9:30 on a Thursday, no line, immediate seating. I was greeted nicely from the front to when I was served. Manager Scott, the chef and my server were really kind and patient explaining my menu and refilling my ginger and hand rolls quickly. Overall, this place gains my 5 stars solid and hands off to the exceptional customer service. Trust me, I'm also in F&B and I know an ethical place and good place by looking at how their employees are treated and how they treat their guest. Will definitely come back next time."
"I was able to finally come visit Yamashiro. We made a reservation a good month ahead of time to come for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We were hoping to have caught the sunset but missed it by a few minutes. The restaurant is near the Magic Castle and truly has a nice aura to it that makes you forget you are in Los Angeles. We had a few minutes before we were seated so we decided to roam the grounds. Sadly the bar at the bottom was closed during our visit and the garden seemed to be under some care. Our waitress was so kind and nice. We were seated outdoors since there was an event going on inside (seemed like a company holiday party). I wore a dress and brought a coat, although I had a heating lamp near by, I was still a little cold so didnt take my coat off at all. We ordered:Spicy tuna crispy ricechampagne miso chilean sea basssalmon citrus rollcoconut hamachi cevice white dragon rollRyujin cocktailEverything was good, enough for two hungry adults to enjoy for dinner. Being that it was my birthday celebration, our waitress brought over a little dessert to enjoy which was a nice touch and also delicious. I also liked that our waitress gave me the time to ask her questions about the restaurant's ghost. I would love to come back and check it out during the day. I was told they have a decent Sunday brunch. Valet Parking onlyReservations are highly recommended"
"The ambiance, service, and food at Teru Sushi are superb. The sushi is absolutely amazing--top-notch deliciousness that stands out from the rest. I especially love when the owner takes the time to offer recommendations, which makes the experience feel even more personal. The owner was extremely nice and helpful, adding to the already wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend this spot for sushi lovers!"
"My daughter and I have been coming here. She introduced me to this sushi place. So far the rolls that we have ordered are all pretty good and we have enjoyed them. We usually come at the perfect time because we never have to wait to be seated. Upon sitting down, servers are there right away to get your orders. Recently when we visited, they have a limited AYCE for $19.99 person from 11:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday only, excluding holidays. The regular price is $29.99 per person. My daughter wasn't interested so we just ordered from the Happy Hour menu. * I just noticed that the tables aren't spaced well. Come in and enjoy the AYCE rolls!!!"
"Simply spectacular. Please sit at the bar, let the chefs do their thing, sit back, and enjoy. Thank you and you're welcome."
"Hands down Omakase is itadakimasu. Every bit was perfect so no soy sauce or wasabi was needed to be added, yet offered. Presentation is above all so amazingly exquisite work of art it's was hard for me to believe it's to be eaten. The cuts and quality were some of the best I've seen in a long time. The nigiri was so refined traditional and fusion tied together. As for service, I felt like a king for a dinner. Warm and attentive, I would have to say was right in line with the quality of the meal. I highly recommend sitting at the bar, watching the chefs work and being able to interact is comforting. May kudos to the chefs and thanks to the staff for a warm and comforting experience."

"My partner and I love this place! We usually come to their happy hour and stay until it's over. Their yellowtail sashimi is delicious and we always order rolls with chile! Ambience is chill and their staff has always been friendly."
"I recently dined at Kinkan near Silverlake for their Omakase lunch, and it was a memorable experience. Parking was a bit of a challenge in the area, but we eventually found street parking. We arrived a little early, and since the restaurant wasn't open yet, we waited outside with another couple.Once the doors opened, we were seated at the intimate counter, which only has about 10 seats. There are also tables that can seat around 20 people. Chef Nan was present throughout lunch, and she made the experience even better with her engaging and friendly demeanor. As for the food, everything was delicious and flowed beautifully from course to course. I was particularly surprised by how well the crab curry and shumai worked together--those ended up being my favorite dishes of the meal. The curry was unbelievably good!We decided to upgrade our Chirashi bowl by adding Uni, which was a fantastic decision. It was my first time watching a chef make one, and I was amazed at how much time and effort goes into creating such a complex bowl. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying both options on the menu that day. The mango sticky rice ice cream bar was definitely the star--so creative and full of flavor. The mochi waffle with ice cream, while enjoyable, didn't impress as much.Overall, I'm eager to return to Kinkan for dinner, and I wouldn't mind coming back for lunch either. The quality of the food and the thoughtful progression of the meal really stood out."
"Maki Togo is not where people would think they would find a neat little Asian fusion spot. Right off the Noho Metro line on Lankershim, you can walk a block to a Ford dealership called Sunrise Ford. Inevitably, salesmen will ask if you need help finding a car. Tell them you're there for the food and they'll simply vanish, off to find someone else to try and sell a car to. Walk through the automatic doors and take a left at the reception desk; you can't miss it.Maki Togo is authentic and always prepared fresh. I know car dealership sushi doesn't sound like a great idea, but you need to trust me--it's worth it, and you can't beat the prices or portions. Every roll you order typically comes with sides and even though the menu isn't massive, the food is consistently good. You won't be disappointed. Some of my favorite non-sushi dishes are the don katsu, salmon poke bowl, and chicken teriyaki. The ramen isn't bad either! And if you like it spicy, tell them."
"We ordered food from here tonight from work, and I just have to say that they never fail! Thank you for the good food and the prompt delivery! They're also always very nice. Each time we get delivery for a celebration here at work, it ends up being a hit. Thank you, guys!"
"My first time here and the food is great! Busy when I went. The one thing I don't get is there's a lady behind the kiosk but you still order on the screen yourself. I think the line would go faster if she takes your order and you have an additional kiosk for those that frequent the business. This way orders are expedited. Anyway, we don't like to rate low so 5 stars cause the food was so delicious! We will see you soon!"
"The food is solid, but the service is poor - due entirely to understaffing. They refuse to run more than one server, so the wait to order is interminable - and you should expect to go up to cashier to pay. Some restaurants can adjust better to a tight labor market than others. Roll Call is struggling.I think this place would work better only doing phone orders and DoorDash. The sushi is fine, prices fair. It's just not enough staff to make it pleasant for dining."
"Tasty food that was fun to eat!My daughter and her boyfriend are regulars here. She introduced me to Sunny Blue this past weekend. It is located in a popular area in Santa Monica on Main Street with several other businesses. There is a public lot behind the restaurant and street parking in front. The eatery is somewhat small but also somewhat busy. Like many others I noticed, we ordered takeout. I was thrilled with how many vegetarian options were available. We ordered several varieties of the Omusubi, Cucumber Sunomono, Udon and the Pork Belly Yuzu. The wait for our food was about 20 minutes. The Omusubi packaging was both adorable and functional. Portion sizes were good. I was full after 3 Omusubis. My favorite was the Lucky Cat Omusubi. The favorite for the meat lovers in our group was the Omusubi with chicken. Least favorite was the udon.Pricing was reasonable.I can't wait to return!"
"Meat quality is amaaaazing. I'm usually not a fan of "sweet" foods that are not dessert or snacks but decided to try it out when my friends picked this place to pig out. Located in the Rowland Banana Bay plaza (Yes Plaza where the hot pot place used to be), the restaurant isn't too big. Doubt they could fit a huge party so bring only your closest friends lol. Theres only 2 pricing levels-- $78 for the gold and $88 for the diamond---they're both A5 wagyu ayce with either shabu broth or sukiyaki. Basically go big or go home here. They do have a membership discount but my friend bought the ETF for the chubby cattle group a while back so he gets some sorta discount as well. Along with the regular menu, they also have a list of carpaccios and handrolls and a self serve food bar of veggies, Japanese sides including my favorite TACOWASA!!!! Yes I took the risk and ate two--pleased to say I didn't get sick. They also have a wagyu curry station similar to Momo shabu. Our group picked sukiyaki for our soup base and it was not as bad as I imagined. The sweet flavor wasn't overpowering. Meat was all very soft and tender. Didn't know wth I was eating after a while~all the meat was tender so I couldn't tell too much difference. Veggies were super fresh. Service was top notch. They were constantly swooping in to clear our plates and check on us. Overall a very good experience. Just don't come if you arn't hungry because this place will push your stomach over the edge.Parking is plentiful right outside. A couple of tea places in the plaza to hang out at after your meal."
"It's been about a year since my last visit and I was glad to see that this cafe is just as busy! The line loops out onto the street, but does move fast. If you're looking to get one of their cute boxes, plan to order 6ish pastries. We only got sweet pastries this time, all the savories were sold out. While they do restock throughout the day, plan on some things being out of stock."
"As I was driving around, I was looking for something to eat. I came upon this place and wanted to try it out. Since I was craving a poke bowl, I saw that they had a Chirashi Bowl. So, I ordered the bowl with regular white rice. For $27-, the Chirashi Bowl filled me up. Also, it came with miso soup and a free soda with a Yelp Check-in. Plus, I got a tip on how to eat the fish which I appreciated."
"I recently visited this place because it was a highly rated Korean spot, but my experience was mixed. While the service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and efficient--the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype. The flavors were underwhelming, and many of the dishes left me unusually thirsty, which made me question the quality of the ingredients or seasoning.Overall, it's not a bad place if you're looking for good service and a lively atmosphere, but the food didn't stand out as memorable. I expected more based on the ratings, so I'd say it's more of an average spot compared to other Korean restaurants I've tried."
"2nd time coming here for their omakase for special occasions. Although the price has increased, it is still oh so very worth it. Everything is so fresh and perfect. Words can barely describe it. Even the cuts that I don't "usually" like are divine. Tucked away in the corner of a random strip mall. Make reservations for bar seating if you're going to do omakase! The temperature of everything and the order is perfect that way and if you have room for more (which I barely do) then the chefs can make the perfect recommendation."
"Love KazuNori, with this location being a favorite because of the easy parking during the daytime (before 4pm). Use the QR code to first place a $5 "charge" on your credit card before you park. After eating, scan another QR within the restaurant to validate your parking and get your $5 refunded. Easy peasy. I've also had extra time after eating to stroll around the plaza the several times I've visited. Grab a Starbucks drink or try your luck at the gashapon store a few doors down.I've found the rolls here deliciously consistent with other locations. Grab the 6 roll combo, you won't regret it! Staff here are also attentive."
"Hand rolls here are incredible. The flavor, the texture, everything is amazing. I hate to say it, but don't come hungry or else you'll easily spend over $200 on a dinner for 2. Must try the salmon burrata if you love salmon!! They incorporate honey truffle and yuzu. It's amazing, it's fresh, it's creamy... It's a small portion, but still easily shareable. We also tried the scallop uni sashimi- another great appetizer. Uni was fresh & sweet. It features white truffle oil, yuzu, and sea salt. Delicious combination of flavors in my mouth. Didn't get to try any of the cocktails, but I will next time. :)Street parking or parking garage behind the establishment."
"I used to work out in Sylmar - where I first had TMAD. I worked some insane hours during that time and Teriyaki Madness was always coming through. I no longer work out there and this spot is down the street from home - a discovery that I was very happy with. I'm not surprised by some of the reviews. Honestly - many of my neighbors are overly critical and unfairly judgmental. When I leave a review - it is deserved and unbiased. The staff were welcoming and friendly - but their kindness was genuine which - after a long day - "real" is appreciated. The restaurant is clean and maintained - which is evident when you see how nicely the tables, chairs, floor, and windows look. The dude is cleaning the window as I write this review: Quality. Give the lad a raise. My food (see photo) came exactly as I had directed and it was served at my table. I had no issue getting it myself but - again - the quality of service and the care I received demanded that I speak up for this place. North Hollywood has a Teriyaki Madness - and if you've never tried it or you're on the fence - move yo rear end and try 'em out. Thank you for the quality and genuine customer service. I will be returning and recommending this location to my family and friends."
