"We have been to this restaurant for years and they used to have combo sets for you to select from the menu. We came today and found out that this place now has all you can eat shabu shabu!!! Amazing quality of meat and a soup base excellent. Service is very good too!!Highly recommend to anyone who likes AYCE hot pot experience!!"
"Ever constantly go to a place without ever knowing the price? lol My family and I have been coming here ever since I was little. I realized we constantly be grabbing plates without ever knowing the prices of each plate. We never bother to check if the prices gone up. This is how much we adore and enjoy this place. We would ask for the check, see the total, and just paid & tip. Yesh, depending on which server...the services can be meh. Even so, we always have such a great time here. The foods always hit the spot. The broth is always flavorful. They don't really marinate the meats, but once we grill it..the taste? AMAZING!They offer free rice, porridge, and tea. Parking availableRR availThis is such a great place to enjoy with friends and family. There are so many hotpot & bbq around. This place remains to be my favorite."

"Cali is finally getting cold, and this Mala Tang was perfect for the weather! It was date night, and we were excited bc this was our first time trying Korean style hot pot.Parking: The Source has a free parking garage. Plenty of parking and easy to find.Ambiance/Environment: This spot is located on the second floor. We visited right before their dinner rush. It started getting busy between 6-8pm. They have a large space inside with plenty of seating. Perfect for all group sizes. Very clean and modern inside.Service: Everyone was helpful and welcoming, but special shout out to Andrew! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and even gave us good recommendations. There was also a worker constantly walking around ensuring everyone was doing well. Overall, service was above & beyond excellent. What to do: After a server seats you, take a look at the menu. Then get a bowl & tongs from the toppings bar and fill it up. Remember they charge per lb, and they do have a scale so it gives you an idea of how much you're spending. Take your bowl to the register and choose whether you want Mala tang, Mala stir fry, or Mala pan. Choose your spice level. They'll take your bowl and prepare your dish. Then they serve it to you.Food & Drinks:1) Mala Tang, med hot - I ordered this. I absolutely looove the broth! It had the perfect amount of spiciness. All the toppings I chose were delicious, and the beef brisket & lamb were cooked well.2) Mala Stir Fry, hot - My bf ordered this, and I only took one bite bc this was veryyy spicy for me lol. The stir fry had so much flavor, and everything was cooked perfectly!3) Sweet & Sour Pork - This was recommended to us. The pork wasn't too chewy, and the outside texture was gooey. We never had anything like it, so it was a good different taste for us.4) Rose Tteokbokki - Another dish that was recommended to us. This was definitely rich in flavor. The rice cake was cooked well and drenched in the Mala sauce. The dumplings & sausages were also delicious!5) Milkis & Walovi - Some of my fav Korean drinks! Can't go wrong with these classics. So refreshing!Pricing: Definitely worth it $$$. These portions were HUGE, so they're shareable."
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ima, a sukiyaki and shabu-shabu restaurant in Beverly Hills known for serving delicate, fatty slices of wagyu. The wagyu here is the same high-quality meat offered by the restaurant next door, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.I opted for the sukiyaki set, which was incredibly delicious but notably rich, especially with the addition of the egg yolk. While I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors, it was quite a decadent meal. Next time, I am eager to try the shabu set, hoping for a slightly lighter experience. One of the standout features of Ima is the ample parking available behind the restaurant, making it convenient for diners. The staff is exceptionally professional and attentive, cooking the beef to perfection right at your table. If you are a fan of wagyu, I highly recommend giving Ima a try. The quality of the meat, the skillful preparation, and the overall dining experience make it a must-visit."
"The wagyu and king crab were super fresh and tender, best we had so far. The appetizers are awesome too, Im curious how they made everything so tender. We had 3 desserts luckily, on top of the famous banana pie, the matcha pudding was very good too. The cream brûlée didn't surprise me tho. Looks like small portion, but was more than enough for me and my husband. Which we went with one combo with extra people, not 2 orders. Service was great too, she would kneel down to explain everything before we order, and gave my baby free meal with extra dessert. Also we walked in without reservation, and had our seat no problem. Great experience."
"Haidilao is my favorite Chinese New Year tradition. Even though I'm far from my family, getting the tomato soup base always brings nostalgia and I don't think I'll ever not love this place. The location was beautifully decorated in preparation for the Year of the Snake with adorable cartoon snakes and 福 banners all over. The dancing noodles are also a favorite of mine, and I love how much the performer seems to enjoy doing it, especially when he whips the noodles at our faces . I haven't seen these desserts on previous visits so of course I had to order them and they did not disappoint. Service at this location was excellent. I've been here previously and there weren't enough Mandarin speakers, but this time there was a healthy mix of Mandarin and English speakers."
"Meat quality is amaaaazing. I'm usually not a fan of "sweet" foods that are not dessert or snacks but decided to try it out when my friends picked this place to pig out. Located in the Rowland Banana Bay plaza (Yes Plaza where the hot pot place used to be), the restaurant isn't too big. Doubt they could fit a huge party so bring only your closest friends lol. Theres only 2 pricing levels-- $78 for the gold and $88 for the diamond---they're both A5 wagyu ayce with either shabu broth or sukiyaki. Basically go big or go home here. They do have a membership discount but my friend bought the ETF for the chubby cattle group a while back so he gets some sorta discount as well. Along with the regular menu, they also have a list of carpaccios and handrolls and a self serve food bar of veggies, Japanese sides including my favorite TACOWASA!!!! Yes I took the risk and ate two--pleased to say I didn't get sick. They also have a wagyu curry station similar to Momo shabu. Our group picked sukiyaki for our soup base and it was not as bad as I imagined. The sweet flavor wasn't overpowering. Meat was all very soft and tender. Didn't know wth I was eating after a while~all the meat was tender so I couldn't tell too much difference. Veggies were super fresh. Service was top notch. They were constantly swooping in to clear our plates and check on us. Overall a very good experience. Just don't come if you arn't hungry because this place will push your stomach over the edge.Parking is plentiful right outside. A couple of tea places in the plaza to hang out at after your meal."
"Such a wonderful experience...staff was friendly, food was fresh, space is bright and welcoming. Loved that you could sample the sauces before choosing. DIY broth, perfect for vegetarians. We can't wait to share this gem with family!"
"OMG! Was this place was a phenomenal last minute find! We all couldn't stop talking about how good the food was! Super fresh, delish and all you can eat for $35 (heck of a deal)! We've never been to such a place, so at first we were a bit lost on how it all worked, but the servers were very helpful, with genuine smiles and kindness; plus, they were very attentive to our needs and requests!I'd recommend that if you're a party of 4+ like we were, to ask to sit in the middle section, as there was lots of space, and each person has their own burner to cook their veggies and meats as they see fit!My daughter and her husband kept talking about how they're definitely going back, making a staple of theirs to go to! Next time my wife and I fly in, we'll be right there with them! Cheers!"
"I've been to this restaurant a few times, always enjoy it! My boyfriend and I went yesterday for lunch at 1 PM. The lunch price was cheaper than other places I've tried. We got the cheapest lunch special, $22/person. The menu had 3 all you can eat special options, each with different tiers of meat/sushi/side dishes. There were lots of different broths for lunch. The meat selection and side dishes available for lunch were worth the price. We both got spicy garlic broth, veggies and brisket. My boyfriend loves the brisket, each plate comes with about 8 slices. He ate about 7 plates of thin brisket by himself. I loved the side dishes, the beef gyoza was surprisingly tasty! I got about 5 veggie bowls. The menu has tons of broths, meats, sushi and side dishes. The restaurant is all you can eat, with a few rules. Everyone in the group has to get AYCE and the same AYCE tier option (special A, B or C). There is a 90 minute time limit. Leftover food will be charged to the bill. The restaurant has lots of booths and a bar to sit at. There's loud music playing in the background, the playlist was all over the place! Some of the music wasn't family or kid friendly. We each got our own broth bowl, so we didn't need to lean over one pot. The service was good, we kept asking for sides and meats. We got complimentary ice cream at the end. I wish we got more ice cream, as an ice cream lover."
"Quiet, clean and nice looking atmosphere. Booth chairs are too upright. If you like to lean back, we prefer the center aisle tables with regular metal chairs instead. Parking can get hectic but somehow we haven't had any issues yet (there's a card shop that seems to be popular in the plaza). This is our second time there, and I really enjoy the garlic noodles with steak, and my husband enjoys the steak entree. Marinated steak with garlic noodles that are flavorful and not overwhelming, plus it comes with a salad. My only gripe is the paper cups. Not enough to minus a star, but it's definitely not something you'd expect from a sit in restaurant (unless they were serving pizza to go). Im guessing it's a relic from the pandemic times and I won't fault them for that, but I do hope they use up the stash soon lol. Would return for a weekday lunch. Just to add, the service was fine - they came back frequently to check up on us and also make sure we didn't park at Taco Bell. Appreciate their consideration!"
"I've been craving pho and decided to try this spot that I had discovered when I was searching for a pho restaurant. To start off I'm a huge fan of the way this restaurant operates just because of how simple and self serve it is. It is located in a pretty large shopping center but parking is decent. When you enter, you are seated by a very nice staff member and you head off to the buffet area where you pick up some tongs and a big clear bowl and just start going to town... they have over 70 options of seafood, meat, vegetables, and everything in between. Some of the stuff I saw was very authentic and interesting. My plate turned out to be almost 2 pounds, which is about $13 a pound (not bad at all)... you give them your bowl once you're finished and they prepare it and return it to you in about 5 to 10 minutes . I got my pho in a spicy vegan broth which honestly turned out to be better than I thought it would. They did a great job and preparing the food because the shrimp was perfectly cooked as well as the other ingredients, like you can tell that they didn't just throw hot broth into the bowl and throw it back at you, they cooked everything correctly, and my favorite part is since I couldn't finish my big bowl, I took it to go.Overall, this was a very good pho restaurant, it looks like a small family owned restaurant which I love supporting small businesses, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend anyone reading this to try it out and feel the great savory cuisine."

I've been coming to Seoul Garden periodically for as long as I can remember since I was a child, and I recently came back here for the first time since the pandemic because I was finally craving some Korean style shabu shabu again. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they completely remodeled the interior...not sure how long ago they did this, but it's so much nicer now than what I remember from the last time I was here. We ordered the Australian Wagyu and the meat was definitely great quality...perfectly marbled and fresh. The meat comes with an assortment of vegetables that you can cook shabu style can a broth. If you're not sure what to do, the servers came help you with cooking if you ask them, or give you tips on what to do. They also give you various banchan which can be refilled! After you finish the meat and the veggies, they cook udon and make you a rice porridge in the leftover broth. The rice porridge might actually be my favorite part...absolutely delish! Overall we had an excellent and filling meal as expected. Seoul Garden is the go-to and OG for Korean style shabu shabu...there's a reason it's been around for so long. The quality is always so consistent and I've always left stuffed and satisfied.

I was recently introduced to this spot and absolutely love it. There are places you go to eat for a great dining experience. And there are places that you go because the food is absolutely unbeatable. This place is definitely the latter. The ambiance and service are not bad here but it's relatively low-key and almost a self-service spot. Their soup base and marinate on their meat is absolutely amazing. The price especially at lunch is insane for the value. And it has a really cool retro diner vibe as well

Went on a Sunday right around opening time. The layout of the restaurant is great, and it's very clean and roomy. Extremely comfortable to sit, eat, and chat. All the available selections for the mala were fresh. We got the mala stir-fry, the sweet and sour pork, and the masago roe rice balls. The food was great! As someone who can't really eat spicy food, I was afraid of trying the mala stir-fry, but I could handle it. The complimentary rice and rice balls helped a lot.I really want to highlight the service as the employees were both to the point and very helpful. I explained that I was worried about the spice level of the stir-fry since there's no mild version available, and the person who took my order said he would try to decrease the spice. It really helped! He also recommended a smaller order of the sweet and sour pork which wasn't on the menu, and that was perfect for our small family trying to sample multiple dishes. Even with his recommendation, we still had extra food to take home.Overall, it was a great first time mala experience. My family was talking about how we'll definitely come back and bring others.

Wow why doesn't New York have any sukiyaki place even close to Ima's quality?Sukiyaki is a form of cooking where thin sliced wagyu beef is cooked in a sweet soy sauce. It is SO good. It's different from shabu shabu. There are so many shabu shabu places in Los Angeles, but this was the only sukiyaki place I was able to find. We had Ima's sukiyaki set Chef's Choice and we were SO full at the end. The beef was so high quality - definitely the highest quality I've had in the US. The beef is never frozen and it's sliced beautifully. My husband and I eat Japanese wagyu often, but this wagyu was exquisite and we had to take a photo. Service was incredible. Our server cooked our food and served us. She explained each dish and we had great conversations. They changed the dipping egg after the first half. My only feedback would be to have more vegetables. I found there to actually be too much meat and I loved the vegetables so much. The dessert was matcha and ganache along with homemade ice cream. We got a great variety! You must come here at least once - and ask for the sukiyaki!!

Always a good time at Haidilao. Especially, when celebrating a Birthday. If you let them know in advance, your table will already be decorated with birthday balloon and decorations at the table. You also get a free slice of birthday cake. You can order two soup bases or by quarter. We chose mushroom and tomato broth. Our appetizer was the crystal dumplings, which were incredibly delicious. We also ordered a couple meats, Wagyu chuck and Kobe Beef Belly. The seafood Platter is aesthetically pleasing and loved the options from Basa fish, shrimp, scallops, and baby octopus. Crystal Shrimp DumplingI also love the sauce and snack station. OMGosh MUST TRY!First time eating at Yumiyaki...we ordered the Premium package cause it was an additional $10 per person and include much more different types of meats and specialty dishes. The sushi/sashimi was delicious. There were so many different options from sashimi to beef tartar and everything in between.BEEF!!.....YUMMMMM. I ate so my beef in one sitting. The quality of the beef is so high and melts in your mouth.Austin was our server and he was so attentive. He kept an eye on our table to take away all the empty plates or asking us if we wanted to place additional meet/sushi order.I'm for SURE coming back!

I like how you can add your own flavors and make your own broth based on your preferences. The staff is very friendly and they will help explain the menu if you haven't had Shabu before. The only thing I would recommend is if they could put their AC on higher. Imagine every customer is cooking their soup in high heat, so the place gets super hot.

"There are tons of hot pot/shabu options in this area and I'm so glad I checked out nabemono. As a mostly vegetarian, sometimes it's hard to find flavorful broths but Nabemono was not lacking. After long deliberation, we finalized on the miso and the creamy veg and both were so good and robust. The vegetables that came with were also so fresh and abundant that we had leftovers to take home (no food waste here, folks). If you want an app, the spicy garlic edamame was great to start with with really tasty garlic flavor Attentive servers. The only hiccup was that the online ordering was a bit cumbersome to navigate at first but the team was helpful in figuring it out. Can't wait to come back."
"Been here twice in a month already! Their Mala dry pot is the best! Efficient and nice staff, background music is also good!"
"YGF Malatang is seriously addicting! The best part is being able to customize your bowl exactly how you want it--picking your own ingredients makes the experience so much more fun and personal. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, and the ingredients are always fresh. Whether you like it mild or super spicy, they've got options for everyone. The portions are generous, and the flavors keep you coming back for more. If you're a fan of hot pot-style dining, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!Lastly, my coworkers and I always come here during our lunch since it's fast and easy too."
"On the suggestion of our daughter, we went to Aki Shabu for an early dinner. The restaurant feels quite authentic, with beautiful tables (in our case) set for four individual Shabu Shabu serving sets. The servers were attentive and friendly, explaining the process to us, as it was our first time (not our daughters). We started with the appetizers. We had the crunchy spicy tuna sushi roll, potstickers and Cheese Wontons. The appetizers were so good, I could have eaten just them. On to the main course... There was a fantastic vegetable bar, where we could get our veggies. A great selection of Napa Cabbage, Bok Choy, a variety of mushrooms and tofu. They also had shrimp, fish and lobster balls as well. We optioned to have a variety of the Waygu Beef, Ribeye and Angus Beef. But first the broth. Aki Sush offers a selection of broths to act as a base. I chose the Creamy Spicy soup, while my wife chose the Sukiyaki broth. I love having the selection of broths for your Shabu Shabu. I don't know if this is on the published menu but be sure to ask for the "Awesome Sauce". A wonderful mixture of sweet and a touch of spicy sauces. This was a perfect complement for my Creamy Spicy Soup base. Once we cooked and enjoyed the veggies and proteins, it was time to savor the noodles. I chose a more traditional Ramen noodle, while others at the table chose the Rice or Udon noodles. The broth at this point, is rich with flavors of the meats and veggies so the simmering noodles are immersed in the flavorful broth. Our meal was finished with a delicious ice cream dessert. Since I used to travel to Tokyo quite a bit, I have had my fair share of Shabu Shabu. That said, I will say, Aki Shabu is among the best Shabu Shabu I have ever had, anywhere, including Japan."
"My favorite hot pot spot!! I want to say bien bien lol so good You can order the buffet lunch special for $24.99. I might have misread that. Don't quote me on it. The lady with shorter hair was very kind and polite. I ate in peace during my visit. Will Always return here. The spot looks like an outdoor patio indoors with the art work. Dig the art on the walls. Very unique spot. I highly recommend you visit here when you can."
"Shancheng Lameizi located near the corner of San Gabriel and Valley Blvd. offers authentic Szechuan hot pot. A converted burger fast food teriyaki place the interior is not very big but is popular. There is a multitude of veggie and protein offerings. Each of them ala carte so it can be pricey. The soup bases are good but the best accoutrement is their extensive sauce bar. Along with the sauce bar there are some desserts. Service is good. Parking is limited but in the evenings there is an empty bank lot right next door."
"Very tasty dumplings and wow, the crispy chicken!! Came here for a quick, warm, and tasty meal before going to a show at the Pantages. They were very speedy and got us our receipt fast knowing we were probably heading over to a show. Simple and laid back place great for a quick bite!"
"AYCE beef n seafoods place for 101 pot delivered prime n premium menu... quality and quantity of beef and seafoods were tremendously higher quality than most of places in SGV n Arcadia area!! Pricing are fair for dinner n lunch 15% of dinner price once you have lunch .... Services was quite good and there are many choices of soup broth n base, it fits different kinds of customers needs!!! It's a small AYCE shop that weekends n holidays might get really full..."
"I'm so happy I found out there's a location in Cypress! I first came across Mokkoji in Irvine, but I have been coming to their Cypress location for a little over a year and I can tell you it's just a good, if not better! I love the toro belly beef with the miso broth. It's been my go-to order and never disappoints. The staff here are all so kind and the service is always on point. Even at their busiest, I've never had an issues with service, quality, or cleanliness. Most of the seating is bar style, but there are a few booths for parties of 3+Unfortunately, the seating is limited so I would call ahead to see if they can accommodate larger parties. Side tip--rice and some of the veggies (Napa cabbage, kale, bokchoy) are refillable! I would definitely call myself a regular here and would highly recommend!"
"I love there shabu!! Its the best in OC!! My daughter loves here fyi she a picky eater!! We love the selection of the bar(salad&korean foods) seafood too. The meat is so tender literally melts in your mouth especially beef belly and pork belly you should definitely try it. You can also make porridge in the end it's so delicious!!! Their service was amazing and quick which I loved it. The interior is so chic and modern, clean. They have huge parking area. I totally would recommend to my family and friends. Great for any gatherings! Music is not loud so it's prefect for family with little one too. They have lunch and dinner menu different in price."
"My FAV HOT POT PLACE IN LA! ALL YOU CAN EATLiterally my fav hot pot place in la! I love that it's all you can eat and you can go and grab whatever sides you like. This place also has free drinks for you to choose from- I always get the Pink lemonade, it hits so good with the food. For the sauces I recommend adding: Ponzu sauce, Sesame, and the Peanut Sauce with green onions and cilantro. TRUST. The most amazing dipping sauce. Breakfast: Cheaper in price and good selection as alwaysDinner: Costs more like most places during dinner hour but they had this one delicious marinated crab and it was so addicting. Parking: Has free public parking. The area has a lot of stores so it does get pretty packed but shouldn't be hard to find parking, just crowded depending time of day. Food: Good meat and sides. I recommendService: Staff here is always friendly and helpful. Chill place to go to eat, very causal and great for friends catching up!"
"Visited for the first time on a Friday evening. We had a group of 7 so my husband called the day before to place a "reservation" but they didn't seem too worried about seating our group. Parking was a bit of a challenge as there are a few businesses that share the parking lot. One inside, it was lively but not too packed and we were seated right away. Our wait staff was helpful in explaining their process and once we decided which menu item we wanted and our broths we were left alone most the time to serve ourselves and pick our add-ins. Some of the items weren't labeled so we weren't always sure what we were choosing, but everything was delicious!"
"I visited this spot over the weekend with my boyfriend, and we had a fantastic experience. The food was incredibly flavorful, especially the spicy miso broth, which was perfectly concentrated. We got the lean meat, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional - the owner checked in with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, and as a thoughtful gesture, they gave us complimentary macarons for being first-time customers. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with dim lighting that created a chill vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and next time, we'll definitely request a table for a more intimate setting. I also loved the addition of spicy drops to the shabu - it added the perfect kick. I just wish the portion of ramen noodles was larger Can't wait to return."
"My first time trying hot pot, and it was absolutely amazing! The broth was incredibly flavorful, and the portions were generous--perfect for sharing or for someone with a big appetite. Orders are placed via QR code scanning, which made the experience even more convenient. I'll definitely be coming back for more."
"Enjoyed a later meal after movie . Unexpectedly fresh Kobe beef , delicious soup base with tender chicken ! Service is also excellent. Not too push but very accommodating .I love the fact that they open until 12am which provide an option for movie goers !"
"This has become a very easy favorite of my boyfriend and mine! We decided to try this place on a whim one day and we now come back once a week! One of my biggest complaints about hot pot is that if you want to order something it comes with large, overwhelming portions so I sometimes neglect some items (especially my vegetables lol). Here you grab exactly what you want! I love that theres so much variety in the ingredients so you don't have to be shy trying something new! You start by being assigned a table, where you then place your drink order. After that you're welcome to grab a bowl, tongs, and grab whatever you want from the bar. You then take it to the front to be weighed and thats it! You sit at your table and wait for it to come out! You also pay at the end after your meal!I always order the tomato broth, which is the best tasting one, in my opinion. The tom yum and the classic bone broth are all super tasty as well! I haven't tried the dry one yet, but it looks delicious too.I highly recommend coming here! the priced are fair, the food is good, and you get the luxury of eating hot pot without having to do any of the work!"
"Amazing! This was my first time eating malatang and I'm hooked.Pixiu offers a "build your own bowl" concept. There's a variety of noodles, vegetables, fish balls, and other seafood to choose from. At the end, you can choose whether you want a dry pot or soup, your spice level, and add any additional protein (brisket or lamb) for extra $$. They charge per ounce so it could range anywhere between $20-30 depending on how much you add to your bowl. I filled up my bowl with a bunch of toppings, added brisket and it ended up being ~$40ish. It came out very quickly! My friend and I split a soup and dry pot. The soup was a level 2, which was a great level of spice. Level 3 was a bit spicier, so I wouldn't recommend it if you can't handle spice well. Everything tasted delicious! The brisket was soft and tender. The malatang was almost addicting - I couldn't stop eating it. We ended up having leftovers and it still tasted great the next day. Service was okay. It took awhile for the staff to walk us through the concept, even though it wasn't busy. I had asked for extra bowls but the staff forgot until I reminded him. They also sent us the wrong order a couple times. Everyone was really nice though.Overall, the food was great. I would come back!"
"Dou Lao Fang Restaurant - Update Review (October 2, 2024)This is my third update on Dou Lao Fang, and I visited today for their recently reintroduced dim sum. I have to say, the dim sum is back and better than ever! We tried the shrimp egg roll and BBQ pork puff pastry, and both were simply amazing. You can tell these dishes are the work of a master dim sum chef.During our visit, we bumped into the new owners, Jason and Ellen, who were incredibly friendly. They informed us that the restaurant will soon be changing its name to Tang Gong Seafood, a famous Cantonese seafood restaurant from China. They're relocating their Monterey Park Tang Gong Seafood location to this spot in Arcadia, replacing the current hot pot theme.I'm eagerly looking forward to the new menu. Based on their Monterey Park location and the reputation of their Chinese restaurants, I know we're in for some delicious food!"
"The attendant was very pleasant and helpful. The food arrived quickly. The portions were very large and very delicious. The ambience feels like authentic Chinese.Would visit again."
"Solid shabu spot in Cerritos. They do offer sets here still even tho they have AYCE option now. The 6oz angus beef is more than plenty for myself. Love their simple veggie broth. Don't forget to add all your spices n garnishes like ginger garlic and chives. Love the vegetable platter as well. Overall great spot for your shabu cravings"
"We came here for DineLA week, and were excited to try the Shabu Shabu kaiseki menu. The last time I experienced Kaiseki was in a ryokan in Kyoto many many years ago. My husband and I are used to eating a LOT of hot pot (both Chinese and Japanese) in the SGV so we were already spoiled by lots of variety in broth flavors, ingredients, and quality meats at affordable prices. By comparison, this shabu shabu experience was more minimalistic and also way more expensive than what we were used to, so we questioned if this is something we would do again. However, after we finished the shabu course, they surprised us with a large bowl of delicious rice porridge made from the shabu broth! The sashimi plate, appetizers and hoji-cha mousse for dessert was really good too, and two hours later we were definitely stuffed. So I guess I would say that "the whole is better than the sum of its parts" and if we return to Eigikutei, it will be for more than the shabu alone."
"Holy smokes, can I give this place more than 5 stars?!We were headed to a restaurant on Christmas Eve on a whim and drove by this place and decided to stop in. I had never heard of this place but decided why not ... and I'm so glad we did! What a wonderful surprise !We ordered the medium spicy pork hot pot that is supposed to serve 2. It could easily serve 3 good eaters or 4 eaters if you add on the extras. The broth. The broth is so good. It comes out warm already and then heats up quickly on the burner. The meat bones are so juicy and the meat is so tender it falls off the bones. The meat is delicious. You don't even need to order additional sides, the OG base is hefty enough. We had no idea so we ordered extras with enthusiasm the additional mushrooms, ramen, and rice cakes added great volume to the dish and were all delicious. My belly was bursting at the end; I basically rolled out the door All the little side garnishes they bring out stack neatly on top of each other when done. I love that detail. The kimchi radish and OG kimchi were delicious. The seasoned potatoes were so good. We also ordered the mini ttopoki appetizer and added cheese and it was really good. It mirrors the additional extra we ordered (rice cakes) so that felt like a duplicate that we didn't need but I didn't know, and who cares I ate it all anyway! The service here is spectacular. They are all so kind, helpful, and the food comes out quickly. They have a button for service calls on the wall if we needed them but we never needed to use it because the service was just always so prompt. Splish splash warning! Glad I was wearing all black as I splashed the broth around trying to grab the meat bones etc. so beware it can get messy. I saw them hand out disposable bibs to some people so that's for next time What a hidden gem and what a wonderful dinner tonight. Highly recommend coming here and we will be back soon!"
"Warning: long wait time on a Friday night. But since I was catching up with my friend, it was fine and worth it. Also they had a heater outside and water for those waiting. The quality of food was very good and the quantity of food was also good. A lot of places these days are giving less so I appreciate the good portion. Although it's a bit pricey I think the quality is worth it. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the rice. It was very dry and hard. Not my preference. But the fried crispy pork was great! Crunchy and not too much batter. We also tried the dried bellflower which is interesting cause it's a crunchy veggie. Would get again. Their snack bar was also good. They had fresh and hot sesame balls with red bean paste filling. Also chips and other snacks."
