"Delicious food with plenty of street parking nearby. It can get busy on weekends so I recommend to arrive early."
"Step back in time and come to a warm, fast, homey diner in Toluca Lake. Paty's is the place to be to relax, eat, drink coffee, have some pie, watch the world go by on the patio, and be with family and friends.Photos of celebrity line the walls. Emily was our server and she was fantastic. Quick, efficient, and extremely sweet. Paty's has everything: two egg breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips, quesadillas, pie, meatloaf, you name it.You won't find better pie at a gourmet bakery than you will here. The patio is super dog friendly too! Come on down and enjoy. I love it here. It's a nice place to come for some slow living with fast service."

"I came with a friend yesterday. The waiter we had is a man of few words. When I asked him about the pies he just pointed me to the board and said "they're over there" pointing to a glass cabinet behind the counter. I am someone that likes to see what looks appetizing and they wee too far to see. Knowing I didn't want a refrigerator pie. I ordered what I thought was a baked pie the Key lime and coconut. The slice came and it didn't taste good. It's was a hyper sweet and not citrusy refrigerator pie. I ate about half of it and felt nauseous for ay two hour after. My friend ordered a tuna sandwich. The tomato's were under ripe and the bread was dry and tasteless. The tuna was good but everything else was terrible. For two coffees, one stale tuna sandwich and a terrible slice of pie we pad $35 plus tip. The waiter never came to check on us. To ask if we needed anything or how the food was. I've been there before and had good. Nice, chatty, happy to answer questions and make suggestions servers. The way good old fashioned American dinner service should be. Frankly a pie from a grocery store would have been more enjoyable.Adding that I was here a few months ago for breakfast and they serve their pancakes cold and with their own syrup that they make which tastes like watered down molasses. It's terrible. Cheap pancake syrup from Smart & Final would be much better."
"If there's a server hall of fame, Lucy's in it. Between her genuinely friendly and caring above-and-beyond service and the quality of food, this location feels less like a chain restaurant and more like your favorite neighborhood diner. The pancakes: perfection. Always fluffy and light yet thick and substantial. Somehow you don't feel weighed down at all after eating them, unlike most other hot cakes Hash browns: crisped up nicely, a finishing touch you don't always get with starchy piles at other breakfast spots Cobb salad is great, but hot tip: hold the turkey and order some chicken fingers and chop them up. The first time we heard they had gumbo soup we were a little wary, but lo and behold, it's actually really good. Proof they can make just about anything here. They're really consistent, reliable, and open at all hours. That and the preservation of the classic midcentury architecture makes this a bonafide LA landmark. You can't ask for more in a diner."
"Great clean spot. Stopped for a quick lunch solo and got their steak burrito. Great tasting food. They also serve beans and salsa with chips with your food. Solid salsa's. Service was quick and friendly."
"The burgers here are number one. They are made out of high quality meat and their fries taste so good. The environment is kind of cosy and comfy. Highly recommend."
"Favorite breakfast place in the valley. It was super crowded when we went, but we only had to wait about 20 min. Everything is good. Just go."
"The Service: Excellent customer service! Our server is very friendly and efficient. The owner is very hands-on and always checking on customers. The Food: They have wide variety of food choices. Love the outdoor seating area. Pets friendly. The Parking: Private parking lot (free)"
"Traditional type diner. Good food simple and sweet. Service is absolutely on point. If you want to enjoy the heyday of the diner service and nicely prepared food... don't pass this place up!"
"I stopped in this morning after dropping my car off at the Honda dealership down the street for some TLC. It's a couple of blocks away and must really enjoy a loyal following, or they wouldn't still have been around since 1963.Being the first one in a diner is a treat! Especially one that really harkens back to a simpler, more cozy time. The modest room is filled with plush booths all around and a nice long counter, as should be in a classic diner. Everything was neat and clean. I'd suggest some new flooring near the kitchen as it looks like some of the planks are going their own way.The waiter was kind and brought me a menu right away. And good thing, the place started to fill up quickly. The next couple in the door asked if they could sit on the patio, and at first the waiter said they were not doing the patio service this morning since he was all alone. But then he said that they could but asked them to please understand if service was a little slower out there as the main room was going to get busy. They agreed. The menu is large. Not Cheesecake Factory large, but certainly more than enough for all tastes, including a healthy selection of breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, and the like. I ordered a little bit of everything in a standard American breakfast. I had originally planned to just sit here waiting for my car service to be completed, so the massive order seemed to be the perfect accompaniment. Two eggs, two slices of bacon, a Belgian waffle, and breakfast potatoes. And, of course, a cup of coffee.Everything was really delicious! Seriously! Coffee and all. Every single bite was unique and perfectly prepared. The coffee was awesome. The potatoes are prepared with a little red bell pepper and onion, just like I would have done at home. And the waffle was sublime. If I had one request, I would have preferred real maple syrup. But that's me.I could tell by how the waiter was speaking with a number of customers that these were some of his regulars. If I lived in the area, I'd make this my haunt.I truly recommend Toasted Bun. There's too much here not to get your share of it. And I can't wait to go again and have company to share the experience.(available on Grubhub and DoorDash)Bon Appétit!"
"Great Coffee to accompany the huge portions! Came in with my friend who luckily lives close by . I had the biggest breakfast ever! Great servers who take care of your needs. Parking is behind the building."

Patty's is a fun breakfast place! The outdoor seating is nice and the indoors is pretty old-school and cool also. The menu has a good selection of a variety of dishes and the service is really good too, fast and friendly.

I've been coming to Fox's in Altadena for a long time. I am terribly saddened by its loss in the fires. I used to eat at Firefly in Pasadena, also owned by the same great restauranteur, Paul Rosenbluh. Some research led me to Cindy's in Eagle Rock. What a fantastic coffee shop! Old-fashioned diner atmosphere and lots of good Southern eats. Service is great, decor is adorable, and menu is fantastic. Food is delicious. Cindy's makes me feel like the world was before the Internet. I miss those days. Cindy's brings it back to life.

The food was amazing! The service was cool. Our waitress wasn't very friendly but we honestly didn't care. We were hungry and tired and honestly, just ready to get to our hotel. There were quite a few people in here by the time we arrived about 2am. Surprising to see that many people but based on their hours, I guess the people show up when they open. Our food took a short time to come out but everything was piping hot. The pancakes were delicious! I could've just slept in between them, lol! They were so soft and pillowy. The vibe of this place is a late night diner. No real frills or thrills.Definitely a must try!

Great Chicken Street Tacos and MargaritasI recently visited La Fonda of Inglewood and had a pretty enjoyable experience overall. The chicken street tacos were delicious--definitely a highlight of the meal. However, I wasn't as impressed with the fish tacos. I was hoping for a softer, grilled style, but they were more on the hard-grilled side, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. The margaritas were a pleasant surprise--very tasty and refreshing! They definitely made up for the fish tacos and added to the experience. The customer service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. The restaurant is located in a nice plaza, and it looked like there might be additional seating in a back area, though I sat in the front.Overall, it's a good spot for tacos and drinks, especially if you're looking for tasty margaritas and good service. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

This place is popular for a reason. Service is always fast and friendly and the food is even better. Are the prices a little high? Maybe a little.. but you get what you pay for and then some. Usually it's enough food for me to be absolutely stuffed and still have enough leftovers for breakfast the next day. One of my favorite things is you can get a muffin instead of toast and they have about a dozen to choose from. My go to is the morning glory.. amazing if you like carrot cake. But if it's fall, get the pumpkin muffin!! So good with the cream cheese swirled in.. I also love that tots are an option. They're like little mini hash browns.I drive past here on my way to work and they are busy every single day. If there's a wait, WAIT. It's worth it.

One of my favorite diners in the valley, which is saying something because there are a lot of great ones up there. I drove all the way up from West LA specifically for this place because it really is that good. Also parking is much easier in the valley however this place has a very small free parking lot. It was full when we arrived so we had to park on the street, but it was free parking. My favorite part about it is the retro charm and the food taste. We ate at the counter because it is my favorite seat in the house, I love watching the kitchen operate and just being in the center and inside. They also have a few booths inside but the majority of the seating is outside, but covered. Our server was very polite and attentive and we only had to wait about 10 mins to be seated for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. The food here is seriously delicious. It has all the classic diner options but done with premium ingredients. The menu is quite large, so it took me quite a bit to choose what I wanted to order. For myself, I chose the Eggs Benedict with steak and thought it was fantastic. Eggs Benedict is probably my favorite breakfast dish and so having it with quality steak really made it for me. We also ordered the Fruity Pebbles Waffle and it was deliciously sweet and a great treat. We also split a couple of biscuits with jam and butter and I can say they are homemade and fluffy and definitely worth ordering.Overall a fantastic diner and I would recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch option.

"This is a great spot with some fantastic coffee options! You can park either on the street or in the back, though the parking lot charges $10. The cappuccino and mocha are absolutely divine--I'd come back just for the coffee alone! The service was decent, but the food was a bit hit-or-miss. The Reuben sandwich was disappointing, with only two thin slices of roast beef, which felt really stingy. On the other hand, the French toast was thick, juicy, and delicious. Overall, it's a great place to try, and I'll definitely be back for the coffee!"
"The attention to detail at this sushi restaurant made my meal extra special. The cuts of fish, the almost invisibly thin-cut green onions in my miso soup, the way each sushi is presented... everything left me thinking... fuck sugar fish. HUGE find. A must visit. Enjoying every bite. Thanks for the great service. No wait, excellent recommendations, cold beer."
"Convenient location, great service, crispy wings, and stacked sandwiches. The Great Grill is a cool 1950s style dinner that serves breakfast all day."
"It's a Pasadena classic. What more needs to be said?Diner vibe w/ majority barstool seating, hamburgers, classic syrup + soda hand-mixed soft drinks, a fridge full of cakes and pies. Parking is limited especially during peak weekend brunch and weekend dinner hours. Likewise, you may have to wait to get seated, but you're allowed to carry out too.In my opinion, half of the experience is eating in and feeling like you're transported back to a pre-internet dining experience. All the way down to the vintage cash register clicking in the front. Tried the hamburger w/ cheese and grilled onions, along with a separate side of fries that we split between 2 adults. A chocolate shake for dessert. All-in, a bit pricey at $60. (Payment here is cash only, by the way. But they have an ATM on site) And I get it. We're supporting a small business. That's great.Taste-wise, at risk of offending many die-hard Pie 'n Burger fans, I thought the burger was pretty bland. The meat was sorta crunchy, no real flavor to the sauce that was added for moisture. In N Out has better flavor and weight to its burgers for your buck. So, 4 stars based on my personal preference of taste. It's an experience for sure. But you can definitely afford to skip it if you're just looking for an affordable, delicious burger. There are other spots locally that'll likely cost less and taste better."
"Jeremy's is a great local breakfast spot. They have lots of terrific traditional breakfast options including huge fluffy pancakes, biscuits and gravy, plus your basic bacon and eggs with hash browns options and more. But for me the reason I keep coming back here is their Eggs Benedict, for my money this is one of the very best I've had anywhere. It's not some super fancy version you find at your trendy places with crab cakes or all that jazz, but as a straight up traditional Benny it's hard to beat.Service is always good here, they have had mostly the same staff for many years. They do a nice job. My dad loves to eat here when he's in town too so that's a positive point from me."
"Delicious Breakfast, Amazing Coffee, excellent service. They always make my eggs perfect, and Hashbrowns on point. I'll be back again!"
"On my lunch came here for a pickup order great food 5 stars very nice place .. food was amazing service was great very crowded .. will come back again for sure ambiance was interesting.."
"I really love this place. It's good old fashioned American & Mexican diner food. No frills, but delicious! And amazing portion sizes. It's old school and I love that about this place. The waiters are always nice. And there's parking! I hope it stays around for a long time. My favorite thing are their chilaquiles."
"I thought I didn't care about diners, but it turns out I didn't know what a good diner was until Pann's. Country Fried Steak, always the country fried steak. So juicy, decadent gravy, best biscuits I've ever had. Combo Waffle for the win, but the Combo French Toast is even better especially if you get it with fried chicken. Big fluffy brioche slices coated in egg so thick you'll never see the bread. Best when smothered with syrup and eaten with the best fried wings in the world. I get weirdly cheap about paying expanded range fees on Doordash, but I would literally pay an fifty dollars for Pann's! If their food is this good after 45 minutes in a car, I can't imagine how good it is when it's fresh!"
"Late night eats. After the clubs is Mel's. Easy night getting in, ordering and getting outsHad to try the meatloaf. Not bad. Taste is there except the meatloaf kept falling out of the sando. I think the sando should have been melty like grilled except I don't know how the lettuce would have held up. Had a side of cole slaw which was good - crunch and not too much of that mayonnaise or vinegar.Place is clean, server was doing a great job of suggesting those milkshakes!Didn't have quarters on me to try out the jukebox.Valley parking in the lot only. We found parking across the way on the street . Easy.I'll need to come Back for the those spiked milkshakes :)"
"It's a very cool place, little expensive but it not bad for la. Food is prefect dinner food for a good hangover day or just want some classic dinner style food. The service is as you could imagine, nothing super spectacular. But also not the worst thing ever, I've gone on some busy days and will say this. They don't forget about you, just trust the process and it'll come. I promise, usually the servers will tell you if it will be a little longer if they're slammed which is nice, we love honest and open communication. Should check it out Fred's is a classic staple dinner in the Silverlake Los Feliz area."
"Time for a review update:I have always enjoyed going to Armon's, Eagle Rock's friendly neighborhood breakfast/brunch diner, for as long as I remember, aside from the few updates on the menu, their food has remained good and true. From the traditional American breakfast to the Thai dishes that I sometimes need the morning after a fun evening - It has remained as tasty as I remember since I first stepped into this place back in 2001!Service has always been friendly and expedient and I really like the old school diner feel, the tables are as it was, not cramped and you have room to move and space for the entire family. Pops has always ordered their Bacon, Eggs & Pancake breakfast, he has always enjoyed this! ( I usually steal one of his fluffy pancakes haha), myself however, I prefer to switch it up all the time, from the veggie omelette, steaks & eggs to the yummy shrimp fried rice! (sooo good and generously served) I always request a 2 eggs toppings for this dish ( over easy)It is so nice that the community has continuously supported Armon's! On weekends, I always see this place buzzing especially during breakfast and brunch hours - this is no surprise! They are a good neighborhood breakfast diner with friendly people and yummy delicious breakfast and dishes which I myself am happy to support!Khob Khun!"
"I'm a Mel's Drive In fan and this location is also awesome. The neon sign outside? Iconic. This location is right off Hollywood Blvd and I haven't ever had a wait. So if you need somewhere way better than fast food to dine while in the area, it's a good option. And it's good diner vibes for days! Some people played Otis Redding and I was bopping Sitting on the Dock of the Bay while chowing down. One of the best songs of all time playing while I munched away was heaven. Total diner vibes. Plus they have a parking lot, a rarity in Hollyweird for sure.Staff was kinda slow but it's a diner so you shouldn't come here to rush. They were very friendly though and incredibly attentive, hellos, goodbyes and friendly banter. Now the food is great at Mel's! It's pretty consistent across locations and the menu is huge. I'm not going to say I was sober here and the options were so plentiful that I was having a hard time deciding. But, I went with breakfast for dinner and had an amazing omelette which I'll recommend called "Steven's Favorite"...I hope it's some Steven I like.It had ham, avocado, cheese and a bit of sour cream on top with hash browns, really tasty and ended up making 3 meals for me. It was a huge portion but I like Steven's style and would get it again. My friend loved his chicken & waffles, as well.I'm always out and about around Hollywood so I'm glad to know this is a viable, no wait option for dinner. I'll obviously be back --- but when the adjoining Hollywood Museum is open!"
"Breakfast here is amazing! The spinach and garlic scramble was so garlicky and deliciousThe fresh fruit cup did not disappoint. Fresh fruit side--seems like such a non-issue but Metro's is a big deal! Fresh raspberries, pomegranate, persimmon, pineapple...so unexpectedly seasonal and really well done."
"My best friend and I dined at Ocean Sushi on Saturday November 16th. We found this place last minute because we wanted some good sushi before we were going to a show and chose Ocean Sushi because they were open late.Wow were we blown away with the menu options!!I unfortunately did not get any of the staff names but all of the staff there was incredibly kind and super accommodating. We walked the restaurant like at 9pmish and we're seated right away at the sushi bar.I loved, absolutely loved, their Nigori selection! I'm a vegetarian so I loved that they let me customize my sushi rolls with soy paper too!!My best friend got a bunch but also ordered the white tuna, he is a huuuge foodie and is a sushi aficionado and was blown away with the quality of fish/sushi.I really have been looking forward to going back here because the food was impeccable, drink options for nigori was amazing, and the service was incredible!!"
"This spot is in the heart of DTLA yet is so well hidden that you'd never expect to find it. It's located in the lobby of the Delphi Hotel. They have spectacular breakfast/brunch food. I ordered the Wilshire BEC. This is a well done croissant sandwich with eggs, cheese, bacon and tater tots in it. The sandwich is well compacted and very clean. The croissant does not crumbel or get messy. The bacon, eggs, tater tots are soft and cooked just perfectly. Servers are kind and the place has a nice patio which is hidden from the view of the streets of dtla. The prices are very reasonable as well."
"It was a lovely day to be outside. We had movie tickets for a 6:30 p.m. showing of Inside Out 2 and had time to spare. This is right next to the Ombra restaurant. We were able to grab a seat right away and beat the crowd.I ordered their Bee's Knees, which had lemon juice, gin, and honey. It was delicious! The lemon juice was tart and it balanced well with the honey. My fiance got their strawberry margarita made with mezcal. It was also delicious! The mezcal wasn't too smokey, which I liked. The strawberry was fresh and paired well with the tajin rim. They also sell food but we just had drinks. I subtracted one star because our waitress brought me another round when I specifically said I was OK. Honestly, I think she assumed and didn't even listen to me. Also, there was only one bartender, so the drinks took a while to arrive."
