"The best Korean chicken!! Every time I crave chicken, I always come here and they never disappoint. Service is amazing and you can order through a tablet which makes it so easy. The worker is available to answer any questions and the spot is so cute! I love the illustrations and the music playing. There's always parking available which is a huge plus especially being in LA. The K-Burger, seasoned fries, shrimp toast, and popcorn chicken is to die for! Must try!!!!"
"The food is SO good. Highly recommend the odeng tang, new corn ribs, and my friends love the fried chicken and all of the other items. I used to go to Jjan all the time or Chi Chi's, Dan Sung Sa, DGM, but prefer the more laid back ambiance here. Very spacious. Reasonable prices. Fun for drinking on a sat night out with friends :)"

"If you are a fan of Fried Chicken sandwiches you definitely should get yourself over to Fritzi Coop at the Farmers Market for one of the best sandwich in Los Angeles.A chicken breast dipped in buttermilk batter and fried to a crispy golden brown on the outside and juicy in the inside the breast is place on a brioche bun dressed with lettuce, sliced tomato, and bread and butter pickle chips . The bun is top off with Fritzi's signature sauce. I always have order the curly fries as accompaniment to my sandwich which are perfectly fired. At Fritzi Coop are cooked to order, so every food item is fresh, hot and crispy."
"Now I see why everyone loves Roscoe's. The Chicken and Waffles here are definitely worth a visit. We came on a Thursday and there was no wait. With a simple decor of wood tables and chairs you will feel comfortable in casual clothes. The waitress came quickly to take the order and the food came back almost immediately. The deliciously seasoned chicken wings arrived piping hot just the way we like it. I added a little hot sauce and suddenly I thought I was in Florence, SC. and my auntie was in that kitchen. Nostalgic and legendary! This is a must visit place when in Cali."
"Never had a bad experience here. Everybody is so nice, the food is reasonably priced, and most importantly, it's super consistent. Love this place and supporting local businesses!"
"This was my first time here and I will be back. I have been meaning to come for a while. As a Inglewood resident, I try to support the local businesses. The food was great. Large portions... I couldn't finish my food. We came for breakfast. The catfish and grits were spot on. My husband and fried chicken and eggs with a side of pancakes. He loved the pancakes!!! The staff was nice and they were playing our favorite old school R&B music."
"This location is much better than the el segundo location. The Chongqing chicken is absolutely incredible. The spice level, the crunchiness, it hits every time. The beef rolls are a go to for me as well. Whether you use the tasty dipping sauce or make one of your own with the table condiments.Give this spot a shot."
"Had been seeing the hype on IG...food always looked super tasty. We recently moved back to the area so my husband and I decided to check it out. Was NOT disappointed at all! We ordered the oxtail plate with white rice, extra gravy...wanted all white rice but still got rice and peas and cabbage...that was OK, though cause it tasted awesome. Also ordered the jerk chicken plate. Mouth still watering...mac and cheese was BOMB and the cabbage is sooooo goooood. Portions were on point, flavor was savory and delicious! Will DEF be going back again! Suggest to order ahead so that you can pick up when ready rather than stand in line cause it can be a wait."
"It's been sooooo long since I've been back because I moved, but I was in town today and had to make a detour. As always the wings were perfect and this time I got a side of their green sauce to dip my lemon pepper flats in and it was extremely delicious!! Cranberry coleslaw is as great as I remember too. Staff is very friendly and my order was piping hot when I showed up. Thanks again!!"
"Proper is one our go-to's for lunch. The pizza is amazing (fave is the white!) and prices are affordable. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere."
"They are back in West Hollywood and I am so happy. One of my favorite pizzas can be found here. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They now also serve beer and sodas from Detroit. Great pizza, great service in the heart of West Hollywood."
"Read about this online, and thought it might be fun to try something new. My husband is a bit of a pizza fanatic, so was glad he was game too. It's pretty minimalist inside, a few tables (3 booths + a few tables) & a walk up counter. They have a case with pizza you can order by the slice, which they pull and heat up while you wait. While it's pretty much a self service restaurant, they do bring your food to your table if you dine in, which is a nice touch. Wish they had pepper flakes & dried oregano on the tables, but it is what it is. They offer fountain sodas, Mexican coke and bottled water to drink - no alcohol. We ordered a couple of slices, garlic knots, and a pizza to go. Where they really lost me, and a few stars, was on their customer service - or really lack thereof! We placed our order, and we were not given an itemized receipt and had to ask multiple times for one....maybe it's because of the 4% credit card processing fee they charge you, which they don't tell you about AND is not posted anywhere. I get it, businesses need to cover their expenses, but we dropped almost $60 for food AND added a tip, it would be nice to be told! The pizza was decent, not my favorite and not my husbands either. The garlic knots were to die for, but serving these with cold marinara was also a miss for me! Glad we tried it, but not sure we will be back!"

Let me start by saying, their facade signage they use at events is soooo cute! Looking like a little pocha and chicken street food shop, loves it!Let me second start by saying, I loved their brick and mortar sit down hanchic spot so I think I have a little bias in already loving their food. This latest concept has more street food vibes and I still love the food they serve up.In addition to their brick and mortar chicken shop (and other restaurant jilli), you can catch them at Smorgasburg sometimes (check the lineup). Sunday Smoragusburg is where I ended up finally trying Chimmelier out! I went super basic and just had a Korean hot dog, but that ish was superb! Great taste to it, perfect chewiness to the dough and perfect sugar coating. It was just delightful.I must go back soon to try their infamous chicken sandwich & soooo~ much more on the menu.

Roscoe's is hands down the best place to get Chicken and waffles. Those rare individuals who complain about the Mac & cheese or cornbread or how the greens were cold. Get Chicken and waffles which is what they are known for and have set the standard for waffle and fried chicken. The staff is always down to earth and not robotic. I get two waffles and chicken wings, fries if I'm feeling greedy. Just FYI Roscoe's is better that Waffle House.

Lunch Today: Tahntawan Thai is one of my favorite neighborhood Thai restaurants! I'm here quite often, as they make some of my favorite dishes.Thai Eggplant & Pumpkin: Blows my mind every time, alongside a side of rice! The sautéed combo of veggies with garlic chili sauce has my tastebuds dancing nonstop! Haha! One of my absolute favorites!!Vegan Burrito: My order today! So good, it's flavorful, delicious & just packed with goodness; veggies, brown rice & an avocado all wrapped up like a warm embrace! Though it includes delicious homemade green sauce, I also absolutely love the peanut sauce. (extra $1.25 & absolutely worth it! They make it in-house!) Veggie Pad Thai: Delicious, glossy, flavorful & always hits the spot, packed with colorful veggies!Delicious: Other favorites are the Thai iced tea, papaya salad and Tom Kha soup...so good!Decor: So cute & colorful! I've dined both inside & outside! Outdoors is my favorite, because I can always appreciate fresh air, the colorful scenery, sitting under one of the striped umbrellas & seeing the tall palm trees sway!Customer Service: CK is a whole vibe, so friendly & puts her heart & soul into the restaurant. She's so sweet, attentive & we always have fun conversations, including talking about Thailand, where she's originally from. Imagine my surprise when one day I ordered delivery & her car pulls up at my place, so fun to see each other. We both screamed OMG in surprise & happiness! Haha!Overall: Love this place & that explains why I visit often! Great customer service, flavorful dishes & the cute location up high on the second floor keeps me coming back for more!

April 2023: My friend introduced me, and a friend in town visiting from Seattle to The Soul Food Shack, as he also wanted to explore a different neighborhood; Inglewood specifically! She had been telling me about this restaurant, and now I can see why she couldn't stop talking about it, it's absolutely delicious!Catfish w/sides($19.99): On point, mouthwatering flavor, and perfectly crispy! The sides are incredible as well, and the portions are plentiful! Yams, greens, and cornbread... Yes, yes and yes, please! Flavor upon flavor... The kind that makes you want to dance! Hahaha! The Sweet Tea ($6) was refreshing and amazing, perfect amount of sweetness!Customer Service: Super friendly, genuine vibe, as well as on point with the recommendations and knowledgeable about the menu!Overall: Yes, if in the area, I would absolutely return to The Soul Food Shack, as it's a winner!

(Grubhub Delivery)This is my go-to for Dumplings. So glad it is in my home area (West LA, Sawtelle, Brentwood -- but you can be sure my home is not at B.)Ordered their Lamb Dumplings again recently. This time boiled. Verdict? I prefer the fried ones. Notable point and the reason for this review update:After several delivery -Grubhub orders from other restaurants or eateries, Northern Cafe is the first restaurant or eatery that provided utensils. All the others did not provide utensils EVEN though they specifically asked if I wanted utensils (and I clicked yes).

Let me first start off by saying this line was crazy long!! When I pulled up, it was down to the opposite block! I'm not out here alot so I figured I should just wait. If there's a line, it must be worth the wait, right?! I waited 2+ hours before ordering! Then I waited for my food too. Good lord! My total time to wait and get my food was 2 1/ hours. I don't know if ANY food is worth that wait time. Ordered chicken curry plate and short rib plate. Paid $5 more for double mac and cheese. Options are rice and beans, cabbage, Mac. Comes with a drink. Total was $75 before tip. That mac & cheese was so amazing. It was so hot and gooey and flavorful. You can tell everything is made from scratch and super fresh. The chicken curry had such good flavor. The cabbage had some spice on it, which I really enjoyed as well. That short rib though? Baby! It was so tender and soft, and the gravy that it was cooked in was just immaculate. Finger looking good. I will definitely come back, but I gotta come when this place isn't as packed as it was because the total time spent when I first got in line to the time I got my food was three hours. That is insane. Definitely come during the week, and not during lunch or dinner rushes.

"Mostly a to-go place but there are 2 or 3 tables inside. Service was standard and the place was clean enough. Open very late. Just note that there's no bathroom.I liked the Pizza options they had. They got all sorts of toppings, all sorts of combinations, and all sorts of pizza sizes (like 5 different ones I think). They even have a cheeseburger-inspired pizza with fries, beef, and extra cheese on it that my friend enjoyed and got really full from. I wasn't feeling too adventurous and wanted to save some money, so I got the usual Hawaiian pizza, "personal" pizza size. If you're hungry, a personal size will do for you. Crust and breading wasn't outstanding, but I enjoyed consumption :)"
"What a great place to stumble upon right before our Sofi stadium visit. This review is long overdue! Parking can be a bit busy in front of the restaurant so we opted to park in free parking on the side of the street. The ambiance of the place was very lively and busy with a line almost out the door. There's some eating areas inside but it's very limited. They do have tv's with sports playing which is a plus. The owner of this establish is very personable and you can tell he truly cares about his customers and the love of cooking is shown through him.Wings were absolutely delicious! We also opted for the baked potato so so delicious and good value for what you pay for. Check this place out!!"
"I am immensely satisfied with the quality of the food, hands down the best fried chicken I've had, the ambiance is great along with playing some awesome music, TJ was very welcoming and provided me with the best service and the wait time was reasonable. I 100% highly recommend this to my friends and family."
"My friends and I ate at Puradak over the weekend and loved it. My only criticism is the staff isn't familiar with the menu. It was our first time in and they weren't able to explain anything to us. For example, they offer Cream Cheese Balls & Black Balls of which my friend asked the difference between them. They couldn't figure it out and went back to the kitchen for a few minutes to discuss. It was bizzare with three people working the register that no one knew the menu, but I guess that's the vibe here. That being said, the food was all very good. They have a bunch of seating inside so once you order with the staff or on the touchscreen by the door, you can grab a table to dine at.There are so many Korean fried chicken spots popping up but Puradak is a little interesting because they have a bunch of more unique flavors and styles. The chicken itself was very plump in the boneless wings, juicy insides, nice and crisp outsides as it should be. We tried the Chili Mayo which had a pretty good taste to it but the after spice killed my mouth a bit. I'm a weak white girl lol. I absolutely loved the perfect flavor in the Sweet & Spicy though, couldn't get enough of it.Absolutely loved the cream cheese balls and the Black Cheese Balls. Both were unique and tasty, absolutely would get both again thought the black cheese balls slightly edged out the others in terms of taste for me. Their fries are unremarkable but we added the $1 corn seasoning on the fries which made them magnificent. All the wings came with fries which was nice.Overall, they need better trained staff but the food here is great!"
"The broth.Spectacular!Give me 14 of them right now! And you leave not smelling like Pho."
"Local spot. Has drive thru. Easy ordering from Yelp. Pick up is easy. The portions are generous and prices reasonable. Loved the waffles! I'll be back just for that!Got the fried cat fish. It was a big portion and fried perfectly. The chicken bits were good too. Banana pudding hits the spot to complete the meal blissfully. Will definitely be back. Forgot to take pictures unfortunately. :/"
"I've been here several times down through the years and what I appreciate the most is the variety. Food is good, customer service is decent, wait times aren't horrible. It's not a 5 star dining experience but it's worth what it cost."
"It's a YES. Absolutely yes. Get your order in now! I've been wanting to try Gorilla Pies for a while now, and when it first opened the wait times for pick up were pretty gnarly so I decided to hold off. I recently ordered for pick up on a weeknight and was told our order would be ready in 20 mins! The shop is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. You can't miss the sign out front so it's easy to find! We ordered The Basic Benny and The Green Monster. I don't even know which one I liked more because they were both so amazing. Honestly all of their pies sounded so unique and looked delicious it was hard to pick. But it all comes down to the crust. The crust under the cheese and sauce is thin, but holds up when you pick it up. I think it's even better if you fold it in half and eat it pizza/taco style. The crust at the end, is puffy and bready, but has a nice crisp to the edges. You get the best of both worlds (thick and thin crust fans). I don't discriminate when it comes to pizza crust (hello, it's bread and bread is delicious), but Gorilla Pies has got it down to an art! The Basic Benny blew me away. We added the spicy sauce to it and it was perfection. I love the fresh basil and the salty sopressata. The spicy level was on point. It hits your mouth and gives you a little zing, but doesn't leave your mouth on fire. The Green Monster was delicious. The pesto, the mushrooms...*chefs kiss*. It's a veg pizza, but it tastes so rich and is full of umami. I actually thought there was meat on it until I looked at the ingredients! Never underestimate a shiitake mushroom. The next time I am looking to order some Za for a party (or heck, even a night on the couch), I will definitely be calling Gorilla Pies. This is pizza that will surely impress!"
"Food: Golden Chicken Sandwich with fried chicken on golden tumeric bun, pickled daikon, watercress, alfalfa sprouts, lemon aoli, jalapeno and miso jam was SUPERB!!! The chicken had the tasty brown meat (not that healthy dry white meat) and the bun was perfectly crispy on the outside, but soft on in the side smothered in that magical jalapeno & miso jam!!!Service: freshly, made-to-order; good things come to those who wait; owner/servers are all very niceDesign: interiors is simple, modern with white walls and ceiling with a touch of light brown wooden wainscott, tables, trellis and rope light fixtures; counter seating against the window, communal bench seating in the middle, surrounded by 2 & 4-top tables against the wallOverall: if you want great chicken sandwiches, make sure you get here before the lunch rush, which should be a good indicator of how AMAZING this place is!!!"
"Better pound is really good. I actually got the wings that weren't really on the menu as they are a special item right now and that's the honey garlic bbq wings I believe. They're on the back of the menu. Bomb wings can't lie love the batter and how their chicken is made sauces are good they can give a lot of places a run for their money. But! Maaaaan they have to stop being skimpy on the fries man. I mean come on you spend $18 on fries and four wings no drinks and i paid 2 more bucks for their sauces. lol I had sauce left because I didn't have enough fries. I've patronized this place about three times in less than a month so clearly I like their food but show some love on the fries and give a bit more. You can tell I'm being honest look at the pictures of other peoples posts."
"I'd seen this place on IG and I'd been meaning to check them out. Ridiculously delicious!!! I had a BBQ burger (impossible burger topped with their signature bbq, pickles & coleslaw) - top notch. Seriously. Even the bun was amazing (prepped just right).Had to reach out to let them know how much i enjoyed it! I will absolutely be back for more."
"This is what I call flavor of the south ! From Miami all the way to Los Angeles, House of wings is bringing that real southern heat. Really glad I found this wing spot here on the west coast. They have a few locations throughout Miami so seeing them here in Los Angeles made my weekend. I highly recommend them if you haven't tried them already. The service is quick to perfection just like the flavor , they will definitely spark up the place no matter the ambiance. Congratulations on bringing the heat to west coast ! I only regret I have is not ordering more wings! Thank you once again!!!"
"No parking especially on days when there is a game at SoFi, so I didn't have an opportunity to try the food which I heard was good."
"If you like Thai tea, they have a GREAT Frozen Thai tea, as well as the regular one on ice"
"The best of both worlds: SMASH Burgers & Korean Fried Chicken have come together at @chicknburgerla . I can't pick one because both are damn delicious. The Smash Burgers are with so many damn options if the basic isn't good enough for ya because you could level your Smash Burger with bacon, avocados, jalapeños and more. If beef isn't your thing, there is Turkey, Fish, Vegan and Chicken. The combinations are endless but honestly basic triple smash is my fav. The service is awesome! Very helpful and attentive. You order at the counter and food is served at your table. Chick & Burger is just a chill spot to enjoy Korean Fried Chicken and so many Smash Burgers with a beer. The ambiance is chill. If you have room, their beignets are bomb! I got mine with ice cream and the whole hot surgery beignets with the ice cream was totally bomb. On June 29, Chick & Burger wants to celebrate their Smash Burger Pride with a giveaway of 100 Burger Combos to the first 100 peeps that show up! Isn't that BUSSIN!?!?!?! "Win Wings are a solid choice for some classic wings. Their prices are fair and both their hot and mild wings were flavorful. The wings were decent sized and I appreciate that they ask how little/well done you want your wings done. We asked for medium well done and they definitely could've been cooked a tad more. User friendly website."
"This was an excellent find. The flavors of the food engaged all of my taste buds with perfection. These will be flavors I crave as the days go on and we will have to return sooner than later. The owners are so kind and humble. We also had some fries with a special homemade sauce that can't be found anywhere else in LA. They were AMAZING! We grabbed a couple of Spam Musubi to go for later. Seriously- check this place out. It's only been open for a few months but I'm hoping this is only the first of many locations to come! Fantastic!!"
"Delicious modern Thai dishes. We ordered few items like Seafood Tom Yum, fried rice, Pad Thai and sticky rice for dessert. Everything was satisfying, very tasty. The location is perfect for restaurant hopping. So many other excellent food places along the same street. Parking can be a hassle. Street parking is an option. Lady staff was nice."
"I came here on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, but also it was a rainy day. The staff were friendly. I didn't have to wait too long for my pizza. I ordered the Mookie. I love a mushroom pizza, so it was exactly the flavor I was looking for in that moment. The crust was crispy.I very much appreciate the decor. All LA everything - the Dodger Cabbage Patch Kid, the bobble heads, the vinyl. Love it! Also, I found parking quite convenient. The lot next to it was $5 when I went. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu."
"Portions are great! Always delicious. I've been coming here for 20 plus years. Highly recommend!"
"The food here is amazing. The customer service is excellent and I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate the thought behind putting the cheese on the side of my impossible tacos. I ordered the salmon/shrimp salad, the shrimp taco and the impossible tacos. Everything was so flavorful and tasty. I will definitely be back. So happy to have a local, tasty spot to go to."
"This tiny restaurant in a random row of other restaurants in Valley Village is a true gem. They were super kind the moment I walked in to pick up my order. This was my first time eating here and I'm so bummed I haven't eaten here sooner. The food is SO GOOD. Talk about a pleasant surprise. We ordered the garlic noodles and pad Thai. This is the best pad Thai I have ever had in my life. The garlic noodles were perfectly garlic'd. We also ordered the curry fries. They are krinkle cut so you can't go wrong with those. And the yellow curry was awesome. We ordered to go so the curry and fries were separate and we dipped them in. Now the best part was the banana chocolate dessert. Deep fried bananas with chocolate sauce. Perfectly deep fried goodness.10/10. I highly recommend."
