The service was average, not bad and not outstanding, but I will be back for sure and recommend this place. I can't speak on anything else on the menu but what I mentioned. They were playing afro beats and reggae music as well as the decor aligned. The parking was limited and in a plaza but thankfully free and found with ease."

"I finally got around to checking out Joan's & Sisters for the first time. I decided to stop by after work around 3pm. The place was pretty much empty, there was only one customer at the time. It was a friendly Belizean man who spoke highly of the food. It reassured me that the food I was about to order was going to be good. I ordered their Ox Tail plate, which was about $25. It's definitely not the cheapest plate, but for the amount of food they give, I would say it's worth it. The Ox Tail plate can definitely feed two people, in my opinion. The flavors were there and nothing was overpowering. The Ox Tails were juicy and tender. The potato salad was surprisingly good. The rice and beans together with the plantains is a must. I live so close to this place I can't believe I didn't try it sooner."

"I haven't been to this place for years. Actually, it was about 35 years ago. I'm not sure when it switched from Cuban to Cuban/Mexican but it's definitely not Cuban any longer. I had the La Bamba Garlic chicken sandwich. It was good if your not expecting it to be a cubano type sandwich. If you want Cuban, I would suggest eating somewhere else. If you want a decent meal and your taste buds aren't set on Cuban cuisine, then it's a great casual option."

"Had been seeing the hype on IG...food always looked super tasty. We recently moved back to the area so my husband and I decided to check it out. Was NOT disappointed at all! We ordered the oxtail plate with white rice, extra gravy...wanted all white rice but still got rice and peas and cabbage...that was OK, though cause it tasted awesome. Also ordered the jerk chicken plate. Mouth still watering...mac and cheese was BOMB and the cabbage is sooooo goooood. Portions were on point, flavor was savory and delicious! Will DEF be going back again! Suggest to order ahead so that you can pick up when ready rather than stand in line cause it can be a wait."

"Lawd have mercy! Had to try this place after I saw it on Yelp. It is located on Strawberry Square and towards the middle of the shopping plaza. Area is a little sketchy but the food is bussin!!!! I was greeted by somebody's uncle or grandpa. The smells coming out of the kitchen felt like home, and i already knew the food was going to be IT. I tried the Brown Stew Chicken special. It came with Rice and Peas, Cabbage , Festival and A Plantain. The meat was soooo tender and fall off the bone. The rice was perfect, not sticky or anything. Cabbage tender and flavorful, , nice plantain. Now the festival deserves its own description because I usually don't eat the festival- others are hard and flavorless but THIS FESTIVAL WAS SO SOFT AND EDIBLE. It was so good.. I had to dip it in that brown stew gravy a few times oh my God. I can't wait to come back tomorrow to try their oxtail because This place is legit. It reminds me of the small shacks in Negril. Glad it is open!"

"We were driving down La Cienega In Beverly Hills when we drove by Versailles and decided to have dinner. I haven't been here in years so it was a good change to have some Cuban food. This particular location is small with very little parking in the lot shared by other stores. Luckily we found an open meter right in front on a Saturday night. When We walked in, the staff was very friendly. We went around 6pm so it was a good number of groups in there but not too crowded yet. The Mexico vs Jamaica soccer game was on and the Latin music was playing in the background. Our waiter Jorge was very nice. He brought us our bread and water. We ordered mojitos which were better than the ones we had at the Cuban spots in Miami! I ordered the Garlic Chicken and my bf ordered the Vaca Frita (Sauteed Shredded Flank Steak). We also order the chicken and beef empanadas. Everything we ordered was delicious and very filling. The beef empanada was so good! I also loved the flavor of my garlic chicken that came with rice, beans, and plantains. The steak was also good and very flavorful. I'm glad we decided to go to Versailles, it's definitely a good choice when you're hungry and want something good, filling, and fresh!"

"It was my first time trying Belizean/Caribbean food, and it was amazing!! I ordered the fry chicken which came with rice & beans, plantains, and a side salad of choice (I got the potato salad). We also got a side of panades.The chicken was SO juicy that I didn't even need to use the sauce. The fry jacks had a hint of sweetness and surprisingly paired well with the chicken. The panades paired so well with the pickled onions. Everything came out fresh and piping hot.The inside of the restaurant had a "topical" vibe and the music being played was very fitting. The service was amazing, there was only one person working but he made sure to check up on our table several times. It was a long drive to get here but worth it. I will definitely be coming back to try other dishes!"

The sides were superb and very generously served. This place is more of a pick up and go as they do not have tables so be sure you get a few napkins. It's fairly new but I see this place becoming a hot spot for as long they keep adding love to their ingredients you can tell this place is made with love and quality.
