He ordered the chicken rings, fried fish, and blackened fish tacos trip. I had the lobster, Cajun shrimp, and fried fish taco. My favorite was the fried fish taco. The lobster taco at first looked like it was filled with rice, but turns out it's more of a shredded lobster. Sweet and light with the flavor and the crunch of lettuce compliments the sauce they add. Very nice, will be coming back again soon :)"

"We, being a party of 4, popped in to this quaint spot on Magnolia.We walked in and were greeted by the staff and they were great.A couple of us are wine drinkers but another couple are beer drinkers and they're was a good selection of both wine and beer.We tried a lot of the foods. Small menu. All that we tried was absolutely delicious!Beef carpaccio and sea bream were very tasty. We ordered a couple more orders of the sea bream we loved it so much! Mini baguettes with goat cheese, garlic confit, patè and also butter.Then on to dessert. Spiked root beer float! Yummmyy!!! Affogato was so good! Anyway, we will be back! Loved it!"

Not the Venus fault ... it's just downtown -At the end of the night we were wrapping up and my friend was finishing his drink... staff kept yelling " okay yall gotta go" .. like sheesh we know you all close in 15 mins we're just tryna finish what we purchased. Finding a spot is very easy.Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and it was poppin! Very spacious inside with plenty of seating for all group sizes. No outdoor seating.Service: I didn't catch anyone's names, but all the workers were quick, efficient, and attentive! Each worker constantly checked up on us which was much appreciated. Empty plates were also removed very quickly.Meats & sides: We went with Menu C that included both Menu A & B + more. We ordered sides from the tablet. You can order as many sides as you'd. All the meats tasted high quality! We enjoyed everything, but our favorites were the Red Castle Angus Beef Brisket, Red Castle Beef Belly, and LA Galbi! We also ordered more sides from the menu. The corn cheese came in a generous amount. The stone kimchi fried rice was sooo flavorful! My bf got the volcano steamed egg and tofu soup. The steamed egg came bubbling and cooked well, and the tofu soup tasted as expected. They also offer complimentary ice cream for desserts!Pricing: Wow these prices were definitely worth it! There's a 1.5 hour limit. Trust me, this is all the time you'd need lol."

The handrolls, however, were disappointing for me and not worth the high price tag.Service wasn't bad. The entire staff was friendly. Our waiter didn't seem to know the dishes too well, but this was during their first night when new menu items were available.I always look for street parking (free after 6pm) a block or two away on Olympic."

The music is quite loud so you do have to speak loudly if you want to chitchat with friends. I got the espresso martini and melonade, and I highly recommend the melonade for the girlies out there that want a yummy cocktail! It comes with a sweet melon-flavored lollipop that my cousin loved as someone who doesn't drink alcohol.Service was okay, every time I went there was a different bartender who would either be too busy to help us out at times or it was very slow and took their time to chitchat. I don't mind though, it's a bar! I highly recommend for vibes and a quick drink with friends on a night out!"

"It's an interesting place but not quite worth recommending. They have the "serve yourself" beer wall but don't list the cost of an ounce so it ends up being way more expensive than expected. They also include a "living wage" charge on every check which... is fine, but why doesn't the establishment just pay them a living wage then? Anyway, it took 45 minutes to get food even when the place wasn't that busy. The food was good and fairly priced but again, the fee plus tip for subpar service. It's nice in theory but more expensive and not as great as it should be for the price."

"This 21 & over gastropub is located in the Garey Building, corner of E. 2nd St. and S. Garey St. in the Arts District, DTLA. Parking can be challenging during peak hrs, but we were lucky enough to find a spot in the "Perfect Parking" alley-style lot @$5/hr on the east side of the building at 929 E. 2nd (although the pub advertises $8 flat parking when you dine with them, we just couldn't figure it out). The area feels really safe. I was hesitant to go here because they do not permit any substitutions and/or modifications to any menu items, but I was extremely satisfied with everything here. We stopped on Saturday evening for dinner, walked right in, and grabbed a table. You scan the menu at your table and go up to the bar to place your order (the menu is also listed at the bar). They'll give you a number, then deliver your food to your table. I tried "The Office Burger," which consists of bacon compote, caramelized onions, arugula, Gruyere & Maytag Blue cheese on French bread accompanied by a "Basket of Sweet Potato Frites" and an "Allagash White" to drink. Everything tasted amazing, the food so fresh cooked to perfection with great presentation. No ketchup and/or mustard, so don't ask LOL. The beer was perfectly cold and satisfying.The bar is clean, spacious, and organized. Closed Monday & Tuesday. Clean restrooms. Overall, we had a great experience at this location."

"Came here with a reservation at 5:15 on a Saturday and it was bustling, understandably, about 10 days after their opening. We booked outdoor patio but it was raining and gray on the day, so the friendly staff graciously accommodated us inside. To start, we had the grilled cabbage which was delicious! Full of flavor, the pecorino sauce and sundried tomatoes really tied the dish together. Would definitely get this again and try their other wood fire grilled apps!! For pizzas, we had the funghi and lamb tzatziki (their signature)! The funghi was delightful - they used oyster mushrooms which provided more bite and less sogginess, but above all I loved that they used a red sauce instead of a customary white. The dough, sourdough and fermented for over 48 hrs, was soooo flavorful - tangy with just the right crisp and chew. The lamb tzatziki was also delicious, and not overwhelmingly heavy or complicated. Really enjoyed the green sauce on top with bites of mint and tender shredded lamb. We also shared a glass of red - lean wines by the glass menu but good picks. And shared a slice of tres leches cake bc we wanted to treat ourselves. Despite bringing a good appetite, we went home with half of 1 pizza. I will definitely be back and want to try their other pizzas and grilled dishes! Ambiance was moody and perfect for a date or intimate catch up. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable - hope they'll be open for a long time!"

Service was great, staff very friendly, even though they were very busy with a full-house of Dodger fans who stopped by before going to the game. We had a "continental" style breakfast that included Pozole. I had a chance to ask the cook if this is a regular item on the menu, he said yes and let us know it has an "Asian" flair to it as it has similar ingredients in the broth to make Ramen. It's his own special and secret recipe. They can accommodate small or large groups inside or outdoor seating. There are many restaurants and bars in the area. Bookmark this spot when making the rounds in the Greater LA, it has a good vibe and tasty food. Enjoy and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!"

"This is a perfect bar with perfect bar food that has a wide variety of options that are really tasty. They have really good burgers, sliders tacos. They have the classic pretzel with beer cheese. And then they have incredible beers. Specifically they have a bunch of sour beers, which I love that they have a rotating tap for sour beers. They let you sample them before you get a flight, which is really fun to do. I find this place really cutting edge in terms of a local bar that can be down to earth and still have the class of a restaurant. You can watch games here I believe they have a foosball table and it's really clean. Dogs are allowed and it's very cute because it feels like you're inside and outside and it's on a very nice street in town. It's really easy to meet up here no matter what size your group is or what event you're trying to have. I love it. The service is really good. The staff are kind patient you can order at the bar and then you can just enjoy your time there and not be hassled by staff."

"I would give Covell five stars if their kitchen was a little faster, or fast at all. I get that it's a small space (from what I can see from the bar as the kitchen is in plain sight), but at least give your guests an update on why their food order is taking over thirty minutes to prepare...Kitchen-speed aside, Covell is a quaint spot for a glass of wine with friends or dates. I'm impressed by the vast selection of white and red wines along with the occasional celebrity sighting as an added bonus; met Brett Dier aka Michael from Jane the Virgin, and that elevated my visit as he proved to be an absolute gentleman. The bartenders are nice, knowledgable on the wine list, and make small talk when time allows given that they are running the show most nights. Covell is worth the visit for the wine selection and atmosphere alone; I wouldn't recommend ordering food unless you're an extremely patient person, which is unfortunate considering that the food is actually delicious."

It's in a shopping center so there's a ton of parking. WAIT: The sooner you get there, the better. If you do get there when it gets super busy, it's probably up to an hour wait. FOOD: Now, here's the good part - there are a ton of choices and sometimes, it can be overwhelming. There are a ton of appetizers to also choose from as well. My hubby really loved the kimchi soup and it was a full bowl of soup! Very generous. The french fries were also perfect and that was rather unexpected. My favorites were the short ribs and the sweet chicken. I highly recommend those! SERVICE: Excellent. They changed the pans frequently and we didn't have to wait long to get refills on drinks. Overall, I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!"

Try to make a reservation a couple of days in advance, as the space is limited, but you can try your luck with the bar seating. Ambiance Relatively small interior, but there are a variety of tables including those for slightly bigger groups (8?) and small wooden stools for seating. Decor is warmly lit, with pink paint, murals, dried flowers, and marble tops. A cozy feel and stylish. Nice ceramic lamps are beautiful accents to the bar area Menu and food and drinks The menu is a single page with a lot of showstoppers, designed for sharing. There's always a market salad available, a range of appetizers, steaks, charcuterie boards. The drinks menu includes bubbles, orange and pink wines, whites and reds, all have by the glass options with non-alcoholic options and cocktails as well. We ordered a glass of the nebiolo and a glass of the velias, both very interesting natural red wines that paired well with the steak. Appetizer: the beef tartare is a must order. It is made with dry aged meat, from the picanha cap portion of beef. A deep, beefy flavor. Seasoned with garlic and also served with a quail egg yolk, with bread and olive oil. Stunning, unlike traditional tartare but in an excellent way and one of the best I've ever had. 25 day age purebred Australian wagyu steak, served with a shallot marmalade (deeply flavored), pairing well with the medium rare sliced steak, which was so soft that we didn't need anything but our bread knives to cut. The broccolini was charred over charcoal, really well cooked and was a delicious smokey side to the steak. ParkingStreet parking is readily available, a luxury and Silverlake. Service Service was friendly and welcoming. They mentioned that this place has been open for just 4 months! Our server was very helpful to help us decide on drinks given what we were ordering on the menu.Overall, an excellent experience in a beautiful spot, and we would definitely love to be back and try more on the menu!"
