"Sydney was our server and she was very attentive and hospitable! My father and I came in for a quick lunch and to enjoy their taco Tuesday special. He ordered the chicken rings, fried fish, and blackened fish tacos trip. I had the lobster, Cajun shrimp, and fried fish taco. My favorite was the fried fish taco. The lobster taco at first looked like it was filled with rice, but turns out it's more of a shredded lobster. Sweet and light with the flavor and the crunch of lettuce compliments the sauce they add. Very nice, will be coming back again soon :)"
"We, being a party of 4, popped in to this quaint spot on Magnolia. We walked in and were greeted by the staff and they were great.A couple of us are wine drinkers but another couple are beer drinkers and they're was a good selection of both wine and beer.We tried a lot of the foods. Small menu. All that we tried was absolutely delicious!Beef carpaccio and sea bream were very tasty. We ordered a couple more orders of the sea bream we loved it so much! Mini baguettes with goat cheese, garlic confit, patè and also butter. Then on to dessert. Spiked root beer float! Yummmyy!!! Affogato was so good! Anyway, we will be back! Loved it!"

"Bar inside whole food market. Whole Foods market just need to hire more people. And that goes for the whole grocery market.Jamie the bartender is awesome. So Whole Foods is in charge."

"Got their braazo and Hawaiian, really good thin crust pizza and nice vibes, friendly service"
"Great location. Very cool vibe. The ambiance is baller. We ordered the hummus; perfect light snack. Definitely will come back!"
"The quality of fish was phenomenal. You would never believe this is AYCE. My family is always on the search for sushi, whether it is AYCE or not. This had become our favorite place that I will definitely pay Al La carte for . Not to mention service was impeccable. They were so thorough, patient and considerate of our party of 16."
"First time here... it was my friends birthday and his wife got us a reserved table/ area. super cute ambiance. Definitely VIBES!!!!!! food was okay.. little under seasoned.. Dj was vice I loved every song! Not to mention... BLACK OWNED!!!!!!! Ok let's get to the negatives: - the area ... super sketch. My husband and I ran into a mentally unstable homeless man that would not leave us alone!! Very scary. He was also at the front door and the security had to run him off. Not the Venus fault ... it's just downtown -At the end of the night we were wrapping up and my friend was finishing his drink... staff kept yelling " okay yall gotta go" .. like sheesh we know you all close in 15 mins we're just tryna finish what we purchased. It was very uncomfortable to be basically put out. A staff member also said " we know you've been out outta better places"--- I know it was a joke but meh... not coolOther than. Tho two things this lace is really cool and I would come back with friends."
"First KBBQ restaurant of the new year! This is mine and my bf's first time here.Parking: They're located in a big plaza. Finding a spot is very easy.Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and it was poppin! Very spacious inside with plenty of seating for all group sizes. No outdoor seating.Service: I didn't catch anyone's names, but all the workers were quick, efficient, and attentive! Each worker constantly checked up on us which was much appreciated. Empty plates were also removed very quickly.Meats & sides: We went with Menu C that included both Menu A & B + more. We ordered sides from the tablet. You can order as many sides as you'd. All the meats tasted high quality! We enjoyed everything, but our favorites were the Red Castle Angus Beef Brisket, Red Castle Beef Belly, and LA Galbi! We also ordered more sides from the menu. The corn cheese came in a generous amount. The stone kimchi fried rice was sooo flavorful! My bf got the volcano steamed egg and tofu soup. The steamed egg came bubbling and cooked well, and the tofu soup tasted as expected. They also offer complimentary ice cream for desserts!Pricing: Wow these prices were definitely worth it! There's a 1.5 hour limit. Trust me, this is all the time you'd need lol."
"Came here for dinner on a weeknight during the week that the restaurant officially opened. My friend and I tried a few different items, including the Cheese & Mentaiko Takoyaki, Fried Fishcakes, Assorted Oden, and Assorted Handrolls. I really liked the texture of the fried fishcakes. The takoyaki and assorted oden were flavorful and made well. The handrolls, however, were disappointing for me and not worth the high price tag.Service wasn't bad. The entire staff was friendly. Our waiter didn't seem to know the dishes too well, but this was during their first night when new menu items were available.I always look for street parking (free after 6pm) a block or two away on Olympic."
"For all the girlies out there that love Asian-inspired flavored cocktails that don't really taste like alcohol, please try this bar! I LOVE LOVE their menu selection for their signature cocktails and am excited to try something new every time.Very nice ambiance with a nice little dance floor. The music is quite loud so you do have to speak loudly if you want to chitchat with friends. I got the espresso martini and melonade, and I highly recommend the melonade for the girlies out there that want a yummy cocktail! It comes with a sweet melon-flavored lollipop that my cousin loved as someone who doesn't drink alcohol.Service was okay, every time I went there was a different bartender who would either be too busy to help us out at times or it was very slow and took their time to chitchat. I don't mind though, it's a bar! I highly recommend for vibes and a quick drink with friends on a night out!"

A Hidden Gem in Burbank!Wax Poetic is more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting ambiance set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The food? Absolutely divine. We started with the burrata, a dish so fresh and creamy it felt like a little piece of heaven on a plate. For the main course, the seasonal sandwich was a revelation--thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor, and perfectly balanced. And then came dessert: the bread pudding. Rich, indulgent, and comforting, it was the kind of dessert that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. But what truly elevates Wax Poetic is Chef Jonathan. Not only is he an incredible chef, but his kindness and passion for his craft shine through in every dish. He even took a moment to chat with us, making the experience feel personal and special. Whether you're a foodie, a wine lover, or just someone who appreciates a great meal, Wax Poetic is a must-visit. It's rare to find a place where the food, the service, and the atmosphere all come together so seamlessly. We can't wait to return!

It was my birthday yesterday, and my boyfriend and I were exploring Glendale and the Glendale Galleria. On our way to the mall, we passed The San Fernando and decided to check it out for dinner and some drinks to end the day. When we got there we thought the outside patio looked fun, but it was very cold so we sat inside. We sat at the bar, and the bartender Sean helped us throughout the night. It was very relaxed, warm, and good energy. I had a couple glasses of their house Chardonnay. You can never go wrong, crisp and easy to drink. My boyfriend enjoyed their cocktails, a couple old fashioned and a whiskey sour. If my boyfriend wanted a slight change to his drink, Sean knew exactly what he wanted. The food was amazing. I got the steak frites, my boyfriend got the burger, and my steak came with plenty of fries so we shared those. The chimichurri sauce was so delicious my boyfriend put it on his burger. It was so much fun chatting with Sean and some of the others at the bar. Everyone there seemed to know Sean and asked when he was working next. He was very knowledgeable about the liquors and wines that we were drinking. Everything was very enjoyable and comfortable. I've already recommended this place to a couple of my friends who just moved to Glendale.I wish I took more photos, but I guess I was just having too much fun.

I'd be thrilled with this place, were it not for the service I received. It's in a great spot on Hollywood Blvd. with pretty easy-to-find parking on nearby side streets. It's aesthetically pleasing, sophisticated and airy. The drink I had (a vermouth spritzer) was a unique find on the menu, and quite tasty. However, the bartender was friendly only when trying to get me to order more drinks. I understand that bartenders adopt a façade of sparkling customer service to provide a fun, extended experience. It was just jarring that this particular libations peddler was so attentive when he thought I'd order another round, and when I said I wasn't sure yet, the smile literally dropped from his face and he walked away, ignoring me as I was adding a lighthearted comment (which pertained to my thinking about another drink). There were only 2 other patrons in the bar whom he'd just served, so there was no need to dismiss me hastily to serve a line of people. Of course, I know that he only cared about getting more business and more money from me - but someone skilled in customer relations would never make a guest feel this way. It's like riding Space Mountain with the lights on.I'll come back to give them another shot. It's unfortunate that a little rudeness, or carelessness, left such a sour taste to overpower a delicious drink.

4++ fun bar/cocktail lounge and the Silverlake/Echo Park area. I didn't eat here, although the food looks good from some of the other pics posted here. My friends and I came here for some cocktails after having dinner down the street at another restaurant. We were able to get a seat right at the bar. We were served pretty much immediately, but I wanted to look over the cocktails before I made up my mind. I ended up getting a Naoshima Dream which was really refreshing.... and fun to look at. This is the type of place that if I were younger and was living back in this area, it would be a great spot to go to frequently. There's a DJ or at least someone that plays music on Saturday nights (the one night I've been here) and they definitely were playing some crowd pleasers as evidenced by group of folks singing along and dancing. Great drinks and great energy. Now I'm really curious how the food is here.

"It's an interesting place but not quite worth recommending. They have the "serve yourself" beer wall but don't list the cost of an ounce so it ends up being way more expensive than expected. They also include a "living wage" charge on every check which... is fine, but why doesn't the establishment just pay them a living wage then? Anyway, it took 45 minutes to get food even when the place wasn't that busy. The food was good and fairly priced but again, the fee plus tip for subpar service. It's nice in theory but more expensive and not as great as it should be for the price."
"Celebrated my birthday here and Darren was extremely helpful getting the space reserved. If you do their birthday package, there are custom cocktail options per whose birthday it is! Already liked OR Bar as a spot to go for a drink with friends but LOVED celebrating my birthday here-- the staff (Evan) was amazing and made sure I had a great birthday, drink orders were always being taken, and the hospitality... immaculate. If you're looking to celebrate your birthday or just go for a quick drink with friends you'll love this bar and the ambiance! Can't thank them enough for making my birthday so memorable."
"This 21 & over gastropub is located in the Garey Building, corner of E. 2nd St. and S. Garey St. in the Arts District, DTLA. Parking can be challenging during peak hrs, but we were lucky enough to find a spot in the "Perfect Parking" alley-style lot @$5/hr on the east side of the building at 929 E. 2nd (although the pub advertises $8 flat parking when you dine with them, we just couldn't figure it out). The area feels really safe. I was hesitant to go here because they do not permit any substitutions and/or modifications to any menu items, but I was extremely satisfied with everything here. We stopped on Saturday evening for dinner, walked right in, and grabbed a table. You scan the menu at your table and go up to the bar to place your order (the menu is also listed at the bar). They'll give you a number, then deliver your food to your table. I tried "The Office Burger," which consists of bacon compote, caramelized onions, arugula, Gruyere & Maytag Blue cheese on French bread accompanied by a "Basket of Sweet Potato Frites" and an "Allagash White" to drink. Everything tasted amazing, the food so fresh cooked to perfection with great presentation. No ketchup and/or mustard, so don't ask LOL. The beer was perfectly cold and satisfying. The bar is clean, spacious, and organized. Closed Monday & Tuesday. Clean restrooms. Overall, we had a great experience at this location."
"Came here with a reservation at 5:15 on a Saturday and it was bustling, understandably, about 10 days after their opening. We booked outdoor patio but it was raining and gray on the day, so the friendly staff graciously accommodated us inside. To start, we had the grilled cabbage which was delicious! Full of flavor, the pecorino sauce and sundried tomatoes really tied the dish together. Would definitely get this again and try their other wood fire grilled apps!! For pizzas, we had the funghi and lamb tzatziki (their signature)! The funghi was delightful - they used oyster mushrooms which provided more bite and less sogginess, but above all I loved that they used a red sauce instead of a customary white. The dough, sourdough and fermented for over 48 hrs, was soooo flavorful - tangy with just the right crisp and chew. The lamb tzatziki was also delicious, and not overwhelmingly heavy or complicated. Really enjoyed the green sauce on top with bites of mint and tender shredded lamb. We also shared a glass of red - lean wines by the glass menu but good picks. And shared a slice of tres leches cake bc we wanted to treat ourselves. Despite bringing a good appetite, we went home with half of 1 pizza. I will definitely be back and want to try their other pizzas and grilled dishes! Ambiance was moody and perfect for a date or intimate catch up. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable - hope they'll be open for a long time!"
"Great little Mexican hidden gem that my coworker and I happened to stumble upon when we were hungry after work! It was the closest place we could walk to and I'm so glad we did!We ordered Chips & Salsa, Aguachile, and the Birria De Res Tacos with consume! We also ordered some drinks and had the best time at this little spot! The staff was really nice and although it's little, it's worth coming to check it out! It wasn't too busy when we came so the vibe was perfect and they were very attentive! We'll definitely be back!"
"There is nothing more to say about Alma's that hasn't been said already. The interior is done by one of my favorite interior design groups shout out to @design_bitches, but the owner has also put a lot of nice personal touches. This cider bar offers a very wide range of selections, truly something for everyone, but it's the staff and their knowledge of cider that puts it over the top for me. I don't love being there when it's too crowded, but when you walk in and it's just a few people and the sun comes in just right - the vibe is immaculate."
"09.08.24 - We had a Feast and lots of fun at the Far Bar over the weekend. Located in the Little Tokyo area, it is conveniently located to public transportation in the Downtown Los Angeles area. Service was great, staff very friendly, even though they were very busy with a full-house of Dodger fans who stopped by before going to the game. We had a "continental" style breakfast that included Pozole. I had a chance to ask the cook if this is a regular item on the menu, he said yes and let us know it has an "Asian" flair to it as it has similar ingredients in the broth to make Ramen. It's his own special and secret recipe. They can accommodate small or large groups inside or outdoor seating. There are many restaurants and bars in the area. Bookmark this spot when making the rounds in the Greater LA, it has a good vibe and tasty food. Enjoy and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!"
"I love there shabu!! Its the best in OC!! My daughter loves here fyi she a picky eater!! We love the selection of the bar(salad&korean foods) seafood too. The meat is so tender literally melts in your mouth especially beef belly and pork belly you should definitely try it. You can also make porridge in the end it's so delicious!!! Their service was amazing and quick which I loved it. The interior is so chic and modern, clean. They have huge parking area. I totally would recommend to my family and friends. Great for any gatherings! Music is not loud so it's prefect for family with little one too. They have lunch and dinner menu different in price."
"This is a perfect bar with perfect bar food that has a wide variety of options that are really tasty. They have really good burgers, sliders tacos. They have the classic pretzel with beer cheese. And then they have incredible beers. Specifically they have a bunch of sour beers, which I love that they have a rotating tap for sour beers. They let you sample them before you get a flight, which is really fun to do. I find this place really cutting edge in terms of a local bar that can be down to earth and still have the class of a restaurant. You can watch games here I believe they have a foosball table and it's really clean. Dogs are allowed and it's very cute because it feels like you're inside and outside and it's on a very nice street in town. It's really easy to meet up here no matter what size your group is or what event you're trying to have. I love it. The service is really good. The staff are kind patient you can order at the bar and then you can just enjoy your time there and not be hassled by staff."
"I would give Covell five stars if their kitchen was a little faster, or fast at all. I get that it's a small space (from what I can see from the bar as the kitchen is in plain sight), but at least give your guests an update on why their food order is taking over thirty minutes to prepare...Kitchen-speed aside, Covell is a quaint spot for a glass of wine with friends or dates. I'm impressed by the vast selection of white and red wines along with the occasional celebrity sighting as an added bonus; met Brett Dier aka Michael from Jane the Virgin, and that elevated my visit as he proved to be an absolute gentleman. The bartenders are nice, knowledgable on the wine list, and make small talk when time allows given that they are running the show most nights. Covell is worth the visit for the wine selection and atmosphere alone; I wouldn't recommend ordering food unless you're an extremely patient person, which is unfortunate considering that the food is actually delicious."
"Joe the bartender is super nice.Chill place right off Hollywood that doesn't look like much, but is exactly the right combination of dive bar and not full on dive bar. Few tourists, more local-ish. Prices are all reasonable for location, and better than some other nearby establishments. Darts out back cinches the five stars for me, but please upgrade the boards to Blade 5 or 6!"
"Great food, attentive service! We were attending a concert at Intuit Dome, and the location is perfect. Plus, they offered 25% off! Delicious cocktails, too. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area."
"This place is always consistent - and that's what you want. The meat is always good, the wait is never terrible, there is tons of street parking, and it's reasonably priced for the area. It's pretty large on the inside as well. If you go, you HAVE to get the Kimchi Rice Lunchbox, because you can't get it anywhere else (or at least anywhere I've gone to)."
"Fantastic server who made sure to create great experience. When we missed last call she got us some miso soup and added a touch of chili oil to it. It was fantastic. Way to go above and beyond and ensure your guests have a great experience. The sushi was pricey but was all delicious. Definitely recommend."
"Amazing Korean BBQ! We came here on Valentine's Day (with a slew of other couples and families with the same idea!). They offered a rose and bottle of champagne to every lady as long as we posted on social media and tagged them. Pretty sweet deal! Let me break this review by parts: PARKING: Plenty of it. It's in a shopping center so there's a ton of parking. WAIT: The sooner you get there, the better. If you do get there when it gets super busy, it's probably up to an hour wait. FOOD: Now, here's the good part - there are a ton of choices and sometimes, it can be overwhelming. There are a ton of appetizers to also choose from as well. My hubby really loved the kimchi soup and it was a full bowl of soup! Very generous. The french fries were also perfect and that was rather unexpected. My favorites were the short ribs and the sweet chicken. I highly recommend those! SERVICE: Excellent. They changed the pans frequently and we didn't have to wait long to get refills on drinks. Overall, I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!"
"For gamers, board game aficionados, and casual guests alike, Guildhall is as much of a great gastropub as it is a very welcoming space for those who like a bit of geekiness with their nights out. As someone who loves video games, it was awesome to see streamers being broadcast on the gastropub's televisions and images of Smash Bros. characters adorn the outside patio area. As a "Legend of Zelda" fan, I geeked out at a replica Master Sword being hung by one of the larger TVs and I definitely treated myself to a "Heart Container" mocktail which was a pleasant, sweet blend of coconut cream, lemon, and pineapple juice.Other than having a great selection of board games, Guildhall provides enough table space to play those games as well as other forms of games. I love how inviting Guildhall was in the sense that it's built to encourage people to sit down, stay, and have some fun with friends. It also helps the food here is pretty good as well as I thought the sweet potato tater tots were some of the best I've ever had...and the garlic fries were pretty darn good as well! Overall, it's really nice to be at a place where a big, diverse crowd of people are coming to have wholesome fun with their friends. Seldom have I gone to any drinking or eating establishment and felt so many positive vibes. Consider me a customer for life!"
"5 Stars:A Sublime Culinary Journey at BudonokiIn a city teeming with exceptional dining establishments, Budonoki distinguishes itself as a true gastronomic gem. This unassuming restaurant delivers an unforgettable culinary experience, expertly marrying impeccable service with inventive, expertly crafted dishes. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the service was top-notch, with a warm, attentive staff that anticipated our every need. The atmosphere, while understated, provided an intimate backdrop for the culinary fireworks that were to come. And then, the food. Each dish that emerged from the kitchen was a masterclass in flavor, technique, and presentation. Standouts included the Naem, with its delicate balance of spicy and sour notes; the Aburi Salmon, seared to perfection and boasting a satisfying crunch; and the pork jowls, which melted in our mouths like a tender, unctuous cloud. But the true pièce de résistance was the Budo Black truffle gnocchi. This sublime creation - at once earthy, rich, and indulgent - redefined our understanding of comfort food. Each bite was a masterful harmony of textures and flavors, with the truffle's deep, loamy notes elevating the dish to unprecedented heights. In short, Budonoki is a must-visit destination for any serious food enthusiast. With its unwavering commitment to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction, this restaurant has earned its place among the culinary elite.Rating Breakdown:- Food: 5/5- Service: 5/5- Ambience: 5/5- Value: 5/5Recommendation: Budonoki is an absolute must-visit for foodies and anyone seeking a world-class dining experience. Be sure to reserve well in advance, as tables are likely to be in high demand."
"We really enjoyed our visit to Glendale tap today! They have a fantastic selections of beers that are hard to find at most bars. The pool table is only a dollar and the ping-pong and foosball are free, can't beat that deal! The bars interior is full of knickknacks on the wall and has a welcoming ambience, and the serves are very helpful in deciding what drinks to select."
"Came here for breakfast after a suggestion from my daughter's friend. This place definitely has gotten a facelift! Very clean and spacious looking. We got here early so we could pick anywhere to sit. We chose a booth towards the back of the room which was comfy. The menu is fairly large, so I had a hard time choosing what to eat, so I finally decided on an omelet which was VERY good and filing. Next time I might try the chilaquiles. My daughter and her friend chose the breakfast burrito which also looked very good and filling. Their hot sauce btw is a must. Service was very good. I would definitely hope so since they weren't busy this early in the morning. Plenty of free parking very early in the morning."
"I love this bar. So much so that I'm tempted not to tell you about it. It's low-key and friendly, with a great beer list, and I don't even really like beer but I had this really great hibiscus sour last week and I gotta get that again. So I'm worried that if you and all your friends find out how great it is, then all of your friends will tell all their friends, and then they'll tell all their friends... you see where this is going. And then it'll stop feeling low-key and friendly. But seriously, check it out."
"Excellent dry aged meat in a beautiful hip space with thoughtful menu options. Reservations Reservations recommended, easily done online. Try to make a reservation a couple of days in advance, as the space is limited, but you can try your luck with the bar seating. Ambiance Relatively small interior, but there are a variety of tables including those for slightly bigger groups (8?) and small wooden stools for seating. Decor is warmly lit, with pink paint, murals, dried flowers, and marble tops. A cozy feel and stylish. Nice ceramic lamps are beautiful accents to the bar area Menu and food and drinks The menu is a single page with a lot of showstoppers, designed for sharing. There's always a market salad available, a range of appetizers, steaks, charcuterie boards. The drinks menu includes bubbles, orange and pink wines, whites and reds, all have by the glass options with non-alcoholic options and cocktails as well. We ordered a glass of the nebiolo and a glass of the velias, both very interesting natural red wines that paired well with the steak. Appetizer: the beef tartare is a must order. It is made with dry aged meat, from the picanha cap portion of beef. A deep, beefy flavor. Seasoned with garlic and also served with a quail egg yolk, with bread and olive oil. Stunning, unlike traditional tartare but in an excellent way and one of the best I've ever had. 25 day age purebred Australian wagyu steak, served with a shallot marmalade (deeply flavored), pairing well with the medium rare sliced steak, which was so soft that we didn't need anything but our bread knives to cut. The broccolini was charred over charcoal, really well cooked and was a delicious smokey side to the steak. ParkingStreet parking is readily available, a luxury and Silverlake. Service Service was friendly and welcoming. They mentioned that this place has been open for just 4 months! Our server was very helpful to help us decide on drinks given what we were ordering on the menu.Overall, an excellent experience in a beautiful spot, and we would definitely love to be back and try more on the menu!"
"My favorite! Great food for breakfast and lunch. Love the garden seating out back making it a wonderful meet up place for a Sunday brunch. Long lines but it goes fast."
"Fresh food, beautiful tables and table settings. Very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The service was fantastic and every dish we ordered was epic."
