Quintin E. "Daily Grill is all chill, no frills casual laid-back chic. They have a huge dining space, private room for events and large bar area. It's definitely got a touch of sports bar energy but in a very regal way, minimalist decor with inviting lighting, warm earthy tones and some signage for specials like their happy hour Located across from the Burbank Airport (my favorite airport), the DG has it's own main entrance and restaurant set-up directly off Hollywood Way, but also is connected to the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel - you can actually see the hall directly to the hotel just left of the main entrance for Daily.Entire place is clean, well spaced out and the service is genuine. I attended a uniform club formal event here with my boyfriend's group. We had a small banquet room (across from the bar area) with a U-shaped table configuration making it easy to share our orders and staff to serve. Our server was an amazing guy (whose name escapes me... Dominic... Will... I'm way off - young twenty something brunette-ish). He served us everything and being a group of at least 20 I was impressed - he got help once from another server passing by, but honestly didn't need it. Being in a group and them having planned ahead the prefix menu was a streamline of courses offered by the Grill of some of their best dishes. The spinach and artichoke dip was a hit w/ sourdough crostini. I had at the veggie accompanying them (carrots). Mixed green salad stellar, big - a perfect set up for entrees - balsamic all day for dressing. The selections for the Chicken Piccata (mashed potatoes + grilled asparagus), Pan-Seared Salmon (brown rice + grilled asparagus) or Grilled Skirt Steak (mashed Potatoes + grilled veggies) were had by some of each. The Steaks and Salmon seemed to be the best of the options for those enjoying. My guy is a huge seafood person so his really enjoyed his meal. For the veggie option I was offered a huge Angel Hair Pasta Pomodoro which was incredible, but quite the messy dish. Thankful I was in "leather" (vegan leather) formal wear to my shirt was the easiest thing to clean off, but wow so much rich sauce w/ chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil and they added some veggies in the mix. I enjoyed it immensely as I knew this was one of the vegan options at daily grill aside from their Pesto Pasta, many of their sides and some salads.Great drink selection from wine to beer to a great bar, soft drinks, classic sips and more... like zero proof cocktails/mocktails and brews (Heineken and Samuel Adams).Definitely a fan and hope to dine in soon for a group function, happy hour or social night, maybe even a date night ;)Serving up travellers and locals from 6:30am until 10pm all seven days of the week. Q Tips:ADA compliant entrance as well as accessibility.Restrooms are clean and easy to access.Parking can get a little full on certain days/nights - but there is more for the hotel also - it's a little more restricted than before as you could easily drive in and out of most area for the hotel or the convention center. Daily Grill does have valet via the Marriott."

Everybody was extremely friendly, the wife had a pot pie that she thoroughly enjoyed. I had some type of rice crispy encrusted French toast. I have to tell you it was amazing. I wish this place wasn't so stinking far away from my home as I can't get the amazing taste out of my mind. If you are in the area, I highly recommend that you stop by. While it was a little early for me to have a drink, it appeared there bar had a full selection of anything you could've wanted. The ambience of the place is also quite unique. The only thing that is tough is the parking. But that can be expected in the LA area."

Will M. "For my last nice meal of 2024, I visited Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery in Pasadena. It was a busy Monday night (Raclette Night!) during the holidays, so we waited over an hour despite being quoted 30 minutes. Thankfully, we knew what to order by the time we were seated. We started with the Raclette with Prosciutto--I had high hopes for tableside cheese scraping, but it came pre-scraped and got cold pretty quick, which was a letdown. The dish tasted fine with its tater tots, pickles, bread, and prosciutto, but I expected more.Babé Farms Lettuces were a surprise hit--simple but packed with flavor, thanks to the dates and vinaigrette. Seared Scallops were beautifully seared with light curry notes, fresh crisply cooked vegetables. We also got the Steak Vanessa was perfectly medium rare with a smoky, tender bite, the mushroom sauce was paired well with the steak. For dessert, we shared the Thai Banana Split--crispy fried banana with pandan and Thai tea ice creams. It was sweet but balanced out well.Overall, the food and attentive service made up for the wait, and I loved checking out the specialty items in their store. I'll definitely be back!"

Came here on a busy Saturday evening with some friends and was immediately seated outside on the patio, which had heaters going. I can't speak too much on the inside, but the ambiance outside was super cute with lights and the background view of The Row.Got the steak aguachile as my main and shared truffle fries with the table. The fries were amazing and the steak aguachile was delightful! It definitely had a good kick and the flavors were magnificent. While it was a main dish, I was very surprised at how large the portion was! Definitely something you could split with another person or two. My only gripe was that it was mostly cucumbers and onions atop the steak. Made it flavorful and very refreshing, but the amount of cucumbers and onions was a bit overwhelming -- could definitely just used about half. Still, it was super tasty and just what I needed!Service was excellent as the staff regularly checked up on our table but wasn't overly hovering or rushing. Our server (whose name escapes me) was wonderful and friendly. Parking was super easy at The Row parking garage and the restaurant validates. Definitely want to come back and try their seafood, especially their oysters.Highly recommend if you're in the area!"

Thuy Dan T. "I've bookmarked this spot for some time as it blends two of my favorite cuisines - Japanese and French so I was pretty excited.Parking is a little difficult in the area but valet is available right at the entrance. On a weeknight, the dinner time was lively and the dim lit ambience created a cozy setting where you almost don't notice how close the tables are to each other. The staff was very friendly with good recommendations, and they have purse hangers which is a major plus. The plateware is also so beautiful. Another thing that made them in that upper scale establishment is they pack your leftovers but also leaves them by the hostess and you get a ticket to get them back on your way out so it doesn't have to sit at your table. I started with a Camelia Highball which was a solid cocktail, fizzy and light in flavor. There were some hits and misses in the dishes which for the price point, was a little bit of a disappointment. Would order again:+ Sweet potato gratin - a decadent, sweet & savory dish that might have been my most favorite blend of both cuisines that we tried. It was sweet but the cheese gave those savory notes and left a nice crust on top. I really enjoyed this.+ Tuna tartare - quality tuna, refreshing flavor, the chips are thin and crisp+ Spaghetti bolognese - a very traditional dish that they did well and I liked the smash cherry tomatoes and the thinly shredded bundle of parmesan cheese on top. I'm not sure what makes it with a Japanese - maybe the meat sauce is a little sweeter?Would personally skip next time: + Parker house rolls - The black sesame did not shine through at all besides the rolls being black. The rolls were standard and I don't think the addition of ikura (total $27) was worth it for this. The butter was not salted enough IMO. + Chocolate souffle tart - the name implies to me that it would be lava-like chocolate but was not the case. It's a thin slice, but the coconut ice cream was excellent - smooth and creamy.+ Branzino - was a tender piece of fish but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce because it was a little too runny. I did like the greens accompanied with them but it was a little too soggy for me so there wasn't any difference of textures here. Leaving 50/50 makes me wanting to give them another try with other dishes in hoping they're all hits next time."

We also had their perfectly crispy French fries with truffle salt, which were delicious. For drinks, we sampled three cocktails: the rosemary mojito, the Zinc mezcal margarita, and the mango mule with mango pulp. It was $25 for an appetizer, entree, and dessert but then again, we were SO disappointed. For appetizers each of us tried the clams, calzone, and mushroom toast - every single one of them was ridiculously SALTY. For entrees, we got the alla vodka & linguine with clams. The alla vodka again was salty but my friends said the linguine was just "alright", nothing to rave about. Besides the food, service was horrific. When we went, there were only 4 tables but for some reason everything took FOREVER to come out. A solid 25-30 minutes between every set of food & our drinks came about 20 minutes after our arrival which was just so questionable. We were becoming so impatient that we had to ask for our dessert AND check when our entrees came because we knew it would add additional time to our lunch (and we were right). We were there for almost 2 hours just waiting for food to come so just imagine how impatient we got. If I had to come back, I'd only come back for drinks & the ambiance, espresso martini & sogno di ananas ($17) were both good. Valet parking for $12 also available. I had the chopped Niçoise salad. I loved the chopped salad part but the big chunks of tuna were a bit bland and the visual was reminiscent of canned tuna, although I'm sure it was fresh. It would have been a 10 if it was served with a seared Ahi or at least grill the tuna for a better visual. My husband had the chicken Picata which was the highlight. However, everything worked beautifully. Thunderbolt has a fascinating menu of cocktails and we each had one from the cocktail menu that provoked a lot of questions but offered mixes I had never experienced. Since I'm Celiac it is rare indeed when I can share every dish on the menu and I love to share plates whether I am supposed to or not. I try not to do this from other diners but my habit or vice was curtailed and y'all were safe when I was diagnosed 25 years ago with Celiac. For the first 15 or so years I was relegated to the proverbial sit in the corner and eat my gluten free nonsense behind those horrible partitions they put up in some offices. Now there are some all GF restaurants like 401k in Venice where I can graze once again. I mean it was as if there was no basic customer service training whatsoever. Let me break it down. We wal in around 8:30pm or so and stand at the entrance. The place is empty save for a family in one corner, a group of way over dressed girls in another and a few folks at the bar. We stood there for so long without any acknowledgment that my friend finally approached the hostess, who clearly saw us waiting, to ask if we could be seated. After looking confused and having a side bar with the bartender she then told us to sit wherever we liked. Why couldn't she communicate that 20 minutes prior? Why just ignore us. Should have left then but we look at each other and just shake our heads. But once we sat and were given the menu she disappeared and we waited some more. That's when we decided we had enough. Just as I was about to push up off that banquette seat she came chirping over with her pen and paper. The menu is typical soul food and way overpriced but it's on the Hollywood strip so there's that. We settled on the wing dinner. Apparently there's a difference between a "dinner" and a "platter" but I still don't know what that is. What I do know is shorty was just going to give us the wings and fries until we pointed out to her that the menu said the dinner included a side of greens, macaroni or potato salad. They were out of greens though of course. The chicken came out piping hot and I admit it was good and tasty but not a napkin or utensil in sight. We asked but neither materialized. I had to snatch a few cocktail napkins from the bar. She had to be pinned down on the forks, how else were we supposed to eat the side...oops..excuse me...the sample. The container was the size of a dipping sauce. You can try them if you want to. I heard there's another location but the chicken wasn't worth the hassle."

It's on the same block as Grand Central Market and connected to Fabby's Sandwicherie (the store front says The Grayson Bar, but I originally came to this location specifically for the sandwiches, haha). That said, you can actually order sandwiches/ food from the Fabby's and they actually could bring you your order if you decide to go to the bar and grab a drink - which is what I did.The bartenders here are very chill and friendly. When I went during the week, there was just a handful of other patrons here drinking. Definitely the type of spot where you go with a friend to catch up or possibly a good spot for early on in the dating cycle. The selection here is really great. They actually have a great stock of rare whiskeys. I would suggest with such a great stock, create a whiskey list for folks to refer to. I could almost guarantee that anyone looking at those type of bottles would appreciate a short list. The alternative is having to ask the bartender how much each of the pours are and I'm guessing it would get annoying for them to look up each price while others are waiting to be helped. Also, once I did find out how much the prices were for the rare bottles...it was a little rich for my blood. It's not too surprising since the location is in DTLA and the buildout looks pretty fantastic here. But for me personally, I would drink some of the more rare bottles elsewhere (I specifically have my spots). Not to take away from this place - I think it's a fantastic place to meet up for a drink and probably would order cocktails the next time I am there."
