"It's all about the cardamom bun here which is only served during weekends.. I feel like a kid again when I unravel the layers similar to that of cinnamon rolls. I look forward to coming here on the weekends because they up their pastry menu with added items. What I like about this bake shop and restaurant is the quality of ingredients using locally sourced heirloom grains. I can taste the difference with some of their pastries having whole wheat. They're also known for their artisanal breads which are served with some of their breakfast items. The pork breakfast burrito wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla is delicious. Comes with pork shoulder slow cooked in red chili, soft scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheddar, salsa, and hominy. What I order regularly is the short rib hash. Tasty braised beef in it's au jus and potatoes. Topped with two sunny side up eggs and green salsa verde. Served with whole wheat sourdough toast which is great dipping in that au jus. All the other pastries are great tasting and made with seasonal fruit. This last summer, I was lucky enough to try their seasonal peach pastries; brioche, kouign amann, puff pastries, Danish, hand pie, etc. The pain d'amade is similar to that of a brioche but with almond paste in the middle, sliced like a pie, and topped with powdered sugar. Again, you can taste the quality of the wheat. I believe this is only served during weekends. A great treat if you're into almond filling type pastries. Infatuation LA rated their croissants as best in LA. Honestly, I think the croissants are good but there is a lot of competition in LA and better ones out there. I love "mostly" everything else here."
"I bought some bread, it was too fluffy inside and hard outside. Felt like eating air. Bread pudding - 3 is all I could give it. Olive oil cake was a 4 star"

"This place was absolutely amazing. I suggest that anybody hasn't tried this. Go and enjoy! Possibly one of the best hidden gems ever in my culinary exploration."
"A small little French bakery spot located in what I want to say is the East Hollywood area. They have a pretty simple and straightforward menu with not too many items but they do specialize in some French baked goods as well as French style sandwiches. It should be noted that they have some sides and salads as well as well as a pretty good selection of breakfast beverages. The folks here are very friendly and I want to say they are legit French if my ear for accents is anything. There's a window that you walk up to and order and you wait for your food after. There's some seating on the side and a few benches out front to sit, but this place feels more conducive for takeout.I ordered the jambon beurre and it was such a tasty sandwich. The baguette is firm and has a great bite to it and the French butter is so creamy. The ham was of high quality and also very tasty. There are some pickles on top to give it a little bit of acid. They really do this French staple really well. I ordered the pink praline latte as well and it was such a great and tasty coffee drink. The street where it's located is kind of busy so parking could get a little hectic, but I was able to find parking along one of the side streets in the residential area."
"Eastern European market.Consists of a few departments, to name a few: prepared food section (including good amount of plant based/meat free options, which get sold out rather quick), produce (basics), canned veggies and salads, bread, store prepared desserts (Napoleon always sells out quick, it's delicious). There is a nice assortment of honey as well.Parking: street metered parking right in front of the store. Super easy. We stop by every time when we are in Glendale. The employees are very pleasant as well and easily advise on the available items and prepared food. Valentina is a sweetheart and Asmik is very nice and kind. Our favorite items are pickled tomato, store prepared Napoleon, Roshen brand candy. Would recommend and will come back!"
"Memory Look in Koreatown has quickly become one of my go-to spots! First off, their matcha is absolutely delicious, and the hojicha coffee is a standout--smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. If you're a fan of unique drinks, this place will not disappoint. What really sets Memory Look apart, though, is the space. There's plenty of seating, making it a perfect spot for getting some work done or just relaxing. The wifi is solid, and there are accessible power outlets everywhere--ideal for anyone planning to stay awhile. The service is that of a typical cafe. You order at the counter and they call your name to pick it up. No microphone and speaker like some noisy cafes do though. Parking in LA can be a nightmare, but not here. They've got ample parking, which makes the experience that much more stress-free.Whether you're grabbing a drink to-go or looking for a comfortable spot to hang out, Memory Look hits all the right notes. I can't recommend it enough!"
"It's been about a year since my last visit and I was glad to see that this cafe is just as busy! The line loops out onto the street, but does move fast. If you're looking to get one of their cute boxes, plan to order 6ish pastries. We only got sweet pastries this time, all the savories were sold out. While they do restock throughout the day, plan on some things being out of stock."
"Cool hidden gem!Located away from the Americana area near Glendale's post office has this neat place known for their Zhengyalov Hatz which is essentially flatbread with herbs and other greens in it.Ambiance was very nice but it seems like most people just buy it for to-go. They were quick with getting my order and make it in front of you.My only gripe is that I don't think the Zhengyalov Hatz justifies $7.99, but I would definitely come again considering not many places serve this!"
". I walked in there and it took them about 5 mins to come to me AFTER I rang the bell because no one at all greeted me. The very nice host in the front let me know that they were very busy, however, I watch the waiter walk over and greet non-people of color when it's really not that hard to just say good morning. I have no problem waiting, but not being acknowledged is really hurtful. The food here is very good for a diner and I'm glad that they have been able to stay in business for so long when I come here usually I don't know how to feel because sometimes I get a good interaction and sometimes I feel like they just don't want to deal with me, even though I always come in and do take out."
"I Recently been back to M'Dear's & I Must say their service has Improved & their Food is ALWAYS Flavored Well & Cooked with (what seems to be) Love.If You are looking for Good, Flavorful, Food... Come here. Don't let the line (if there is one) detour you... It's Moves Fast & It will Definitely be worth the wait."
"I am definitely not someone who is willing to stand in line for more than an hour for a meal. Our office is two blocks away from here and me and my co-worker tried to dine there on two separate occasions, but neither of us were willing to stand in line. So, when we found out that this restaurant is on UberEats, we ordered delivery and finally got a taste of what all the hype is about. BTW, we ordered every food item (5 items) that appear on the delivery menu. 1) Pork and chicken bowls: They were nothing spectacular. I would order them again, but wouldn't go on "favorites" list. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced these dishes were. Big thumbs up to the owners for not price gouging.2) Cold noodle dish: Quite interesting. Again, nothing spectacular, but interesting nonetheless. Would most likely order it again.3) Cheddar and scallion biscuit: I don't think it was bad, but I have a hard time remembering how it tasted. Might be a nice side dish for some people. Again, very reasonable price.4) Pineapple bun: Now, here something to talk about. Simply put, this bun was absolutely amazing. The texture of the bun, richness of the cream inside, and everything else... We ended up ordering a dozen of these babies a few days later. Some people in our office are already "addicted" to these. I would definitely recommend everyone to try this bun when they visit the restaurant (or order delivery). Now, why am I giving just 4 stars instead of 5? Well, the problem I ran into is that the second time we ordered these buns, they had less filling inside. I would just consider it a bad batch perhaps. Even so, the buns were still great, but a bit more attention on consistency would help."
"Hi Bakery is a very cute food spot on 7th and Imperial St in LA. It's next to a metered parking lot (the lot is in-between Mateo and Imperial) and parking for an hour is I think $5 which is a good deal. When we walked in there were lots of empty tables and there are two sides - One side for drinks and one for food/baked goods but you can order drinks/food on both sides.I got their Vegan Bagel ($12.75) which came with vegan cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, red pickled onions and micro greens with their roasted potatoes. I just wanted something a little better than what I had been eating, so when they said they ran out of vegan cream cheese I said to use normal cream cheese. It was deliciously savory with nice crunches of cucumber and fresh tomatoes on top. Very filling too...I hadn't had a bagel in a while. My husband got one of their plates with toast, egg and sausage, sorry can't remember the name of the dish. The sausage was pretty good, not too salty and not sweet but flavored nicely with a nice kick. Everything else was pretty standard (eggs, toast, potatoes). We did get a cinnamon roll (which the best part of one is the middle piece) and he got coffee and I got tea. I got their Sunset Oolong ($7) which had oolong tea, orange lily and ruby amaranth. It was a little earthy but there's enough tea to split between two people, and it's only served hot. Next time I try this place I'd get something else. This place is cute and they offer mostly cookies as baked goods (that earl grey flower one looked good but I didn't try it/next time I will)."

Your neighborhood lunch spot.I snuck away for a long lunch with my team to this spot in Culver City. I was delighted to find that the restaurant was filled with people making a quick stop, families enjoying a nice meal, and girlfriends catching up. The staff were attentive and careful to give us room to chat. The food was carefully plated for us after we mentioned we planned to eat family style. Though I was reserved at first as the prices are on the slightly more expensive side, the prices ended up being reasonable and fair given the location and the service we recieved. I definitely intend to come back to raid the pastry shelf sometime!

This is a little cute market with a restaurant inside. The items they sell are very good. They are mostly international items. The service is also really good. The owner is super friendly. The best thing is their food. The lunch plate is really healthy and delicious. You can pick a protein and two sides. The salmon plate was yummy. Chicken lule is my favorite too. The best part is the price is not too high. With 13.99. You can get a salmon plate. That's really good. The only problem I have with the lunch plate is that they heat the food up in the styrofoam boxes which melt and release cancerous toxin in microwaves. I think the owner should really care about this potentially health hazard by switching to paper or composible materials. Everytime I come, I have to tell them to heat my food on a plate instead of the styrofoam box. It's a hassle to explain every time. I really wish they can have a separate container that is microwave safe to heat up the food or heat the food on a ceramic plate without me asking. I would gladly up my review to 5 stars if they've addressed this issue and take health hazard advice seriously.

Hype or no hype, I just wanted to come try out their popular matcha einspanner before my appointment near here. There's a huge back parking lot that's very spacious. The girls were friendly and helpful. Talk about very quick service!! Right after I ordered it, it was already on the counter!! Wow, fastest service I've ever experienced. It was filled to the top so they did not put a lid on it. I grabbed the lid, thinking I would spill it. I also got a creme brûlé pastry to eat with it. Both matcha einspanner and the pastry did not disappoint. Both were not overtly sweet, it was perfect in taste and sweetness!! And both were fresh and delicious!! It must be very popular because people kept coming in after I got there. I didn't want to take up the big table alone so I took mine to go after eating half of it. Clean, spacious and fresh pastry and drink!! Come try it out!!Thanks Memorylook team for the great service this morning!!

WORTH MY 2 HOUR BUS TRIP! Highly recommended!Cafe is located inside of a hotel. I specifically took this long trip just for their famous Banana Creme Matcha Latte and OH MY GOODNESS IT IS ALL WORTH THE HYPE! It's very sweet and the matcha taste is very strong. The banana creme complimented the matcha perfectly. I wish the bus trip wasn't so long or I lived closer to Little Tokyo because I'd devour this latte almost every other day! It was worth purchasing!Workers are very accommodating and quick with service. Seating inside is limited during peak hours. When I went, straws had to be requested directly from a worker but I'm not sure if that changed.I'll be trying their baked goods the next time I have the golden opportunity to make a trip here :)

The vibes and food here were amazing! I'll definitely be coming back to dine in.I love that this spot is just off downtown Glendale but not on the main street, making it much easier to find street parking.Inside, it's super cozy with cute decor and about 10 tables. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly.I ordered the zhengyalov hatz and chicken shawarma, and it took just 8 minutes to be made fresh on a Friday evening. I wasn't expecting the food to feel so light! The zhengyalov hatz was absolutely delicious--the flatbread was airy and fragrant with herbs. This was the perfect amount of food for two people to enjoy a light dinner, and it was only $24. Very affordable for an LA restaurant! I'll definitely be back to try the baklava and drinks next time.

"This is a café and restaurant that I have been wanting to try out for a long time. I was worried about long lines just before Christmas but it was easy. They have a lot of tables in the arcade and outside under an awning. The wait staff was charming and the inside of the store was amazing! I would have bought one of their handmade gingerbread houses that was very fairly priced ($14). It felt very festive and the food was delicious. This is one of the best lunch spots in Los Angeles."
"Simply wonderful. Truly a different experience. Beautiful decor with soft pink and mint green theme. And yes, surrounded with plants (many for sale.) No decaf available. Some limited egg dishes as well as wonderful pastries. Very, very pleasant staff"
"I was attending an event at SiriusXM and the staff recommended this place for lunch. So pretty much most of the attendees went to this place for lunch to mingle with each other. I was following along with the crowd.I was so busy talking that I didn't pay a lot of attention to read the menu while I was waiting in line. This is like a cafe kind of place. I glanced at the menu and realized nothing was cheap here. Since I had to spend a lot anyway, I decided to order something that I like. I got the smoked salmon tartine. It's like $17.95 on the menu which I think is quite a bit especially when I got the order and see that it literally is a piece of toast with smoked salmon on it. The portion is really not much. The smoked salmon tasted good though. I also got to try the salad that another attendee ordered. It was fresh as well. I would have to say the food itself is good but the price is high. But maybe that's the ongoing rate for this area. Afterwards, I looked at the recipe and I was charged like $20 something dollars. There is an employee benefits charge of $0.82 and then tax on top of that. So be careful if you are the kind that would like to save money. This is not your place. If you are the kind that enjoys good food and don't care how much you pay for it, this is your place."
"Bastion by Bakers Kneaded is located in the heart of Los Angeles--more specifically inside Grand Central Market. They offer sweets of all kinds including pastries and other desserts; it's such a lovely little bakery. If you're looking for your coffee and latte fix they have it! As I looked through the glass, I noticed it was squeaky clean and everything looked fresh. They even had a vegan cookie so that is what I ordered, it was double chocolate. Although, I am not a huge chocolate fan, I found it so be delicious. Service was great! Tips:If you want a natural fruit juice from The Juice, they are located next door"
"Super cute place that's hidden in Sherman Oaks. Super cute design and sweet workers. They had a good variation of pasteries and coffee. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and it was good but not the best. I was a bit disappointed in the foam but I understand that not many baristas are able to create a good foam with almond milk. They also had a good lunch selection but I will need to try it another time."
"Love the outdoor dining option and honestly it was a huge decision factor. But we came here on a very busy Friday afternoon and we couldn't find an outdoor table. People were taking tables before ordering which makes those who already ordered have less time to find a table before their food is ready (stressful). As for food, the I wished the Bialy bagel exterior was a little softer. The labneh and smoked salmon was delicious. Recommend those toppings! Porchetta sandwich took a while to come out. It was on display. It was nice and meaty. It should have a dipping sauce. The bread was a bit dry. It is an ample portion and I was super full. Get the carrot cake. It is so moist and the thick frosting is so good. I'm hoping to try the croque madame next time! It looks delicious."
"I came here on a weekday morning, stopped on my way to work. I thought it was more of a bakery than a cafe but they do make their own bread in house. I ordered an everything bagel and this bagel had full onion slices on the top, which I have never seen before. The bagel was really good, and I ordered a latte as well. There was only one person at the time, working behind the bar to make everything, so there was a bit of a wait but overall, great and cute little neighborhood cafe that is worth checking out."
"My favorite place to pick up Eastern European foods from their freshly prepared refrigerated food display cases. Everything from cabbage rolls, to grandma's pickles to desserts. Yum! They'll heat it up for you, so you can eat it there (a tiny outdoor patio/sidewalk seating area in front - two 2tops?), or take it to go to your favorite park (like Griffith) for a picnic! Fresh rye bread too! It's a mini Europeans food market on one side of the store too. I do wish they'd carry Lithuanian products, though."
"A cute local bakery and cafe with a sweet staff! I always order a strawberry shortcake for my birthday every year! Absolutely delicious...fresh, homemade, with the best strawberries"
"Fresh handmade bread available here daily. Nothing like being able to bite into a wonderful hot warm just came out of the oven fresh Armenian bread. Delicious. Parking is limited, so be patience and look for street parking. If you drive by too fast, you will miss this place. it is located right next to Gina's Taco."
"This restaurant was my go to back in the day with my girlfriends. It has a super cute front patio perfect for a nice day in L.A. I ordered the breakfast biscuit sandwich and my intern got the burger to eat. While the dishes themselves didn't particularly wow us, the vibes of this place makes up for it. It's got a similar vibe to Urth Caffe where you wait in line to order your food and then find a spot to sit after. A lot of people seem to be working here, so it's good to know that this is a good spot to get some laptops up time. They have valet here, but we found street parking in one of the residential areas instead."
"Great service and location. My only issue was the wait in the sun to get a table. They could benefit from a Yelp waitlist. It was hot and uncomfortable. Their French toast and traditional eggs Benedict were !"
"Came in this morning for coffee and an early lunch. Holy cow...the oxtail here is delicious. My husband and I are foodies and we thoroughly enjoyed this. The service was also great. I came in 1.5 hrs earlier than when lunch is usually served but the owner got me hooked up in no time. I'm super appreciative. Will definitely be back!"
"I regularly visit this bakery to get baked goods for workplace parties. They offer a variety of dim sum and bakery items at reasonable prices. Although metered street parking is available, the wait is typically short once inside the bakery. I recommend visiting this bakery when visiting Chinatown."
"As soon as we walked in we saw that there was a line of people to make an order. It didn't take that long for us to get to the counter and make our order. I was looking for some good croissants. I ordered a jalapeño cheese croissant, a chocolate croissant, and two plain ones. They were not flaky and buttery. They needed more butter flavor. The chocolate one had very little chocolate in it the cheese one was kind ok. The size of the croissants were big. They had more French pastries. They also wereOffering the kings cake on month of January. It's A French tradition that they enjoy the cake and they served it to the whole family and they save one piece and save it for an homeless or a needed person. I thought that was a nice tradition. They also have a restaurant at the same French bakery. They served French lattes, coffees and breakfast. I didn't see if the menu had some dinner options. I also ordered a black coffee. The coffee was great. Just the way I like it. It was Very strong. The ambiance was very familiar. And the service was great. Prices were average."
"Superba is a reliably good spot in Hollywood, with a charming interior and a really beautiful, heated outdoor courtyard. It's rarely super busy, and great for a casual, healthy-ish lunch or dinner, and is reasonably priced. Their breads are delicious, as are their salads and vegetable dishes. (They had a roasted rainbow carrot dish that I hope they'll consider bringing back.) The half-roasted garlic chicken with a green goddess dressed salad is just the perfect thing to order at the bar. Small, but solid wine list as well."
"I love this great bakery find in Glendale. I always purchase their beef pilmeny dumplings fresh made/frozen. It a great weeknight meal to cook and serve with fresh lemon wedges. Delicious! I also recently bought ajarski bread premade/frozen/ready to just crack the eggs and cook in the over and serve. Amazing!"
"Clark Street - Great Iced Latte, Even Better HospitalityStopped by Clark Street in Larchmont for an iced latte and left even more impressed than expected. The latte was fantastic--smooth, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of creamy. The whole café has such a warm, inviting feel, and being in the heart of Larchmont makes it an ideal spot to grab a drink before wandering through all the great shops and restaurants nearby. The best part? As they were closing up, they had extra pastries and kindly gave them out for free. And let me tell you--it was amazing. Buttery, perfectly flaky, just the right amount of sweetness, and topped with fresh blackberries that made it even better. Such a thoughtful touch that really shows what kind of place this is.Great drinks, great atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. Highly recommend!"
"It's been a hot minute since I've been here to get my fix. Looks like they closed the walk in area to expand their kitchen. Now it's just a walk up window to order but they have a deal with the small diner next door if you'd still like to sit inside to eat. The food menu that was posted seemedthe same but I couldn't find a drink list posted. Ended up on their Yelp and requested a few drinks that apparently are no longer offered. No matcha or lavender lattes offered anymore. The EARL GREY COOKIE was a good slightly crunchy cookie on the outside but soft and chewy in the middle. Super tasty! As for my favorite CHILAQUILES BURRITO, it seemed a bit different than I remember. Maybe it's just me though. It comes in vegan and vegetarian!"
"I'm kind of upset because all my first tips are gone from my history.Anyway if I can't post my tips then I guess I need to write a review. They make the best cheburekki here.its deep fried turnover with ground beef.just make sure to ask them make it fresh for you. It's heavy be careful if ur watching your diet then stay away. They also have su borek in the fridge which is also very good. It comes in a foil tray but it's not baked so you need to take it home and bake it in the oven.it's basically layers of puff pastry filled with goat cheese. Just ask instructions how to bake it or Google it. DO NOT microwave."
"A Sweet Moment.Great selection of available pastries. Latte was beautifully presented. Apple Pie Donut 5/5"
"Unique small business in the heart of East Hollywood! Super friendly couple running the joint with lots of positive vibes. Armenian espresso drinks, pastries of all sorts and breakfast items like burritos and "egg" sandwiches. There are a few tables inside and I believe one or so outside. Wasn't too busy around noon so my friend and I had no issue finding a spot to enjoy our treats. I got a vanilla latte with cold foam and a breakfast burrito. The burrito came with an avocado crema but the burrito was flavorful on its own; did not need it but a fun addition! Lots of people picking up takeout so if you can't make it here at the moment try UberEats and Postmates. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here to try their apple danish-type pastry and other goodies. Recommend to stop by if you're in the area and looking to try something new!"
"For years I've been obsessing over Valerie's Coffee Crunch Cake. The photos just looked so yummy. I finally made the effort to pay the Echo Park location a visit so I could see if the cake tasted as good as it looked.Thankfully, I went early on a Sunday morning because it is located in a residential neighborhood and parking in the area is tough. I eventually found a spot a few blocks away. Locals are lucky that they can walk here. In fact, the neighbor next door stopped by for his morning coffee. The kitchen takes up most of the space. There is no indoor seating but there are tables out front and a cozy little side patio. In addition to coffee, tea, cakes, & pastries you can also purchase breakfast & lunch items and pantry staples. There were several tempting pastries in the case, but I was on a mission. However, I didn't see the Coffee Crunch Cake so I asked if they had it. The kind man behind the counter told me he hadn't put it out yet and got me a slice. I couldn't wait to try it. The cake was a nice contrast of texture and flavor. The chiffon cake was light, moist, & fluffy. The whipped cream frosting was slightly sweet. The coffee honeycomb had a nice crunch giving each bite a little bit of texture. It also added sweetness and coffee flavor to the whipped cream. As a whole, it was a delight on the tastebuds. If I lived in the area I would stop by on a regular basis. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other treats and another slice of the Coffee Crunch Cake. *Cashless"
