"Daily Grill is all chill, no frills casual laid-back chic. They have a huge dining space, private room for events and large bar area. It's definitely got a touch of sports bar energy but in a very regal way, minimalist decor with inviting lighting, warm earthy tones and some signage for specials like their happy hour Located across from the Burbank Airport (my favorite airport), the DG has it's own main entrance and restaurant set-up directly off Hollywood Way, but also is connected to the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel - you can actually see the hall directly to the hotel just left of the main entrance for Daily.Entire place is clean, well spaced out and the service is genuine. I attended a uniform club formal event here with my boyfriend's group. We had a small banquet room (across from the bar area) with a U-shaped table configuration making it easy to share our orders and staff to serve.Our server was an amazing guy (whose name escapes me... Dominic... Will... I'm way off - young twenty something brunette-ish). He served us everything and being a group of at least 20 I was impressed - he got help once from another server passing by, but honestly didn't need it. Being in a group and them having planned ahead the prefix menu was a streamline of courses offered by the Grill of some of their best dishes. The spinach and artichoke dip was a hit w/ sourdough crostini. I had at the veggie accompanying them (carrots). Mixed green salad stellar, big - a perfect set up for entrees - balsamic all day for dressing. The selections for the Chicken Piccata (mashed potatoes + grilled asparagus), Pan-Seared Salmon (brown rice + grilled asparagus) or Grilled Skirt Steak (mashed Potatoes + grilled veggies) were had by some of each. The Steaks and Salmon seemed to be the best of the options for those enjoying. My guy is a huge seafood person so his really enjoyed his meal. For the veggie option I was offered a huge Angel Hair Pasta Pomodoro which was incredible, but quite the messy dish. Thankful I was in "leather" (vegan leather) formal wear to my shirt was the easiest thing to clean off, but wow so much rich sauce w/ chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil and they added some veggies in the mix. I enjoyed it immensely as I knew this was one of the vegan options at daily grill aside from their Pesto Pasta, many of their sides and some salads.Great drink selection from wine to beer to a great bar, soft drinks, classic sips and more... like zero proof cocktails/mocktails and brews (Heineken and Samuel Adams).Definitely a fan and hope to dine in soon for a group function, happy hour or social night, maybe even a date night ;)Serving up travellers and locals from 6:30am until 10pm all seven days of the week. Q Tips:ADA compliant entrance as well as accessibility.Restrooms are clean and easy to access.Parking can get a little full on certain days/nights - but there is more for the hotel also - it's a little more restricted than before as you could easily drive in and out of most area for the hotel or the convention center. Daily Grill does have valet via the Marriott."

Came here on a busy Saturday evening with some friends and was immediately seated outside on the patio, which had heaters going. I can't speak too much on the inside, but the ambiance outside was super cute with lights and the background view of The Row.Got the steak aguachile as my main and shared truffle fries with the table. The fries were amazing and the steak aguachile was delightful! It definitely had a good kick and the flavors were magnificent. While it was a main dish, I was very surprised at how large the portion was! Definitely something you could split with another person or two. My only gripe was that it was mostly cucumbers and onions atop the steak. Made it flavorful and very refreshing, but the amount of cucumbers and onions was a bit overwhelming -- could definitely just used about half. Still, it was super tasty and just what I needed!Service was excellent as the staff regularly checked up on our table but wasn't overly hovering or rushing. Our server (whose name escapes me) was wonderful and friendly. Parking was super easy at The Row parking garage and the restaurant validates. Definitely want to come back and try their seafood, especially their oysters.Highly recommend if you're in the area!"

Somehow you don't feel weighed down at all after eating them, unlike most other hot cakes Hash browns: crisped up nicely, a finishing touch you don't always get with starchy piles at other breakfast spots Cobb salad is great, but hot tip: hold the turkey and order some chicken fingers and chop them up. The first time we heard they had gumbo soup we were a little wary, but lo and behold, it's actually really good. Proof they can make just about anything here. They're really consistent, reliable, and open at all hours. That and the preservation of the classic midcentury architecture makes this a bonafide LA landmark. You can't ask for more in a diner."

"I've been here twice, once for a rooftop bar reception event and another time for dinner. This review is primarily for the dinner food. I got the Pan Seared King Salmon. The salmon itself is decent, super crispy skin, well seasoned. I didn't like the rest of the dish though. The sauce was not well balanced - very acidic and overwhelmingly sour. The quality of the ingredients like the broccoli and heirloom beans was good, but couldn't appreciate them because the flavor was drowned out by the acidic sauce.We were also there on an evening where it was pretty cold. They have heat lamps but out of the 4 nearby us, only 1 was functional, and they were bolted down and not movable, so half our table was freezing during the dinner. Aside from the issues with the cold and broken heat lamps, the service and atmosphere were fine, but my rating is just for the food."

It's like the 2nd gen immigrant kids actually learned from their parents how to cook this food and then they added all the tasty American bfast goodies. The meal that sold me is that Saturday lunch special with the quail eggs... Holy moly! So good and tasty and rich! I still think about it! We went on another Saturday and it took every ounce in my body to order something I havent tried yet.I got the pork chop egg w rice and hubs got a side of egg rolls. The meals were delicious and authentic! The nuoc mam is also very good... Bright and not too salty. Overall Uncle Johns has super tasty food that reminds me of home. We took our time looking it over before we ordered. Libby, the director of sales & marketing for Hotel Amarano, welcomed us and told us a little bit about the hotel. I had not been here in over 20 years & it was for high tea which they no longer offer, and was more excited about the Bar/Lounge area now. Norm took our drink order at our table. We ordered: the Bouquet of Rose 5/5 & the Spicy Passionfruit Paloma (minus the spicy for moi) 5/5. Our friends ordered a beautiful Shrimp Cocktail and Parmesan Fries. "The Dresden is a Hollywood landmark located in Los Feliz and it has been operating for over 70 years, yes you read that right, it all started back in 1954! Recently I had the pleasure of experiencing a great night there for dinner and drinks and then more drinks in the lounge/bar area with some awesome live music. After entering the establishment and facing the small lobby/lounge area, you'll see separate sides to the place. On your right will be the dining area/restaurant side featuring red stained walls, white clothed tables and white leather booths, tall wooden pillars, and awesome light fixtures. On the left is the main lounge/bar area featuring a bar countertop and a bunch of tables where you can also grab a bite; the bar area features live music on Wednesday-Sunday evenings with mostly jazz music. The whole place has a great feel with dim lighting and a perfect classic retro type of feel. Currently the restaurant features a menu offering a mix of American, Italian and French type fare. There are different items/menus for the restaurant side and lounge/bar side. For the restaurant side starters include calamari fritti and escargot bourguinonne, they have soups and salads such as a French onion soup and caprese salad, and main items include items such as prime rib, chateaubriand, chicken piccatta, cacio e pepe and various pasta dishes. The lounge/bar side features soups and salads, various sharables such as mozzarella marinara and baked mac n' cheese, and finally various sandwiches including a angus burger - yes a burger is a sandwich. On the recent visit I had the following:Calamari Fritti - Crispy golden rings and tentacles served with house-made cocktail sauce. A little chewy for my liking but good. Escargot Bourguinonne - Oven baked and served over white wine garlic sauce with bread. Haven't had escargot in awhile and it was really good, loved the bread to dip in the juices. Chateaubriand - 20oz tenderloin, hand carved tableside served with mashed potatoes, parmesan-roasted half tomatoes, button mushrooms, and seasonal vegetables. This was a shared item since really it's too much and in fact it's presented as being for "the table". The meat was extraordinary and so tender that I was able to cut it with a fork. The mashed potatoes were fine and the vegetables were good as well. Vesper Martini - Gin, vodka, Lillet Blanc, lemon peel. Nicely made and delicious. Ordered several negroni's in the lounge/bar area and enjoyed!Service was great both in the restaurant and lounge/bar and on the particular night enjoyed some funk music. Prices are fair and comparable for the type of establishment and to the times. Parking includes metered street parking but also various valet around the back and in a alley. Can't wait for my next visit!"

From the quality of the food, to the fact that, for example, they now dole out ketchup for the fries in cheap little plastic thimble sized cups, fewer menu items, and so on.They used to have a great happy hour and happy hour menu, but the selection has gone down while prices go (way) up, and what used to be 4-7pm got gradually cut back to 3-5pm, then recently cut to literally only one hour (4-5pm) only 3 days of the week! (wed - fri ). It makes what used to be a great little neighborhood joint something people now clearly avoid. It is consistently less busy. While the ambiance is nothing to write home about, I will say the service is generally quite good.We had been coming back habitually as it was a great little neighborhood spot, but have started ruling it out completely.Hoping maybe it'll get new owners or something to breathe life back into the place."

The very nice host in the front let me know that they were very busy, however, I watch the waiter walk over and greet non-people of color when it's really not that hard to just say good morning. I have no problem waiting, but not being acknowledged is really hurtful. The food here is very good for a diner and I'm glad that they have been able to stay in business for so long when I come here usually I don't know how to feel because sometimes I get a good interaction and sometimes I feel like they just don't want to deal with me, even though I always come in and do take out."

They have a pretty limited parking lot considering how many people actually come here to eat, but I appreciate that they have a dedicated lot at all versus the Chinatown location where you default just have to pay for parking. Here, if the lot is full, you can find free street parking pretty quick nearby.Is the wait still worth it for the food? Yes. YESSSS. This place is my favorite hot chicken sandwich place ever. There's no contest. The wait can get kind of ridiculous, so do try to either come with friends or come during off hours. I got The Sando and fries both times. The Sando is pretty much perfect. My husband got The Sando 2.0, but...I don't like all the additional toppings, I think it distracts and detracts from the perfection of the spicy chicken flavor, to be honest. And my husband agreed with me. Their fries are really good too! Great crispy crunch and a nice, fluffy inside. Good spice as well.Also, medium is like a hot at other places. Their hot is like HOT. My husband keeps getting hot every time and underestimating how hot their hot actually is lol.
