Parking: street and quite easy. But if not, there is valet. Sorry I don't know how much since I didn't use them. I know this place has good ratings. But to be honest I found the food to just be underwhelming. Minus the bulgogi glass noodle dish. That was amazing. The army stew tasted too watery. But I would give it a second chance. Maybe we didn't mix it enough. When I ate it, it was too bland. But after a while the broth did taste a lot better. The ttoebokki was also a bit watered down and not as flavorful as I would like it. Someone also ordered the... I forgot the name. Meatballs? They were all right. Good but not amazing in my opinion. I will say the rest of my family liked it thought. Service: really great. Friendly and attentive. Even though the restaurant was small, service was great and attentive.

Hidden gem pocha! My friends and I came on a Sunday night and this pocha wasn't super busy. Inside, the pocha vibes were great with the lighting and sakura decor.Firstly, they gave us a complimentary popcorn snack which helped with our hunger while we waited for our food. Next, I got the mango soju cocktail which was very good and tasty. It had good mango flavor and you can't even really taste the alcohol in it. Next, the Korean fried chicken was tasty. They used dark meat so it was juicy and flavorful. The chicken was crispy and was covered in a spicy, sweet sticky sauce which was also very flavorful. Next, the small army stew was great. The flavor wasn't too overpowering and I enjoyed all the toppings like the spam, sausage, leek, etc. Lastly, the kimchi fried rice was solid. It was moist and flavorful and had a nice amount of chopped kimchi in it. The egg on top also looked picture perfect. They also give you a complimentary ice cream which I appreciate. The service was also great. Our sever was nice and attentive. Parking though is a bit confusing. There is a sign for a parking lot but it's down this narrow alley with only two spots which would most likely be taken, so parking would just be street parking. Overall, a great experience here especially if you're looking for a chill pocha experience.

Our server Jin is so cutie and nice, he's service was 100%. The indoor was so cute, along with the dim lighting the ambiance is definitely there. Overall I didn't expect this place to be THIS GOOD!! I also ordered to go and there was candy in there I'm crying it's so cute.Spicy Braised Chicken is a 9.5/10: the flavor is THERE, so good!!!! You need to try this for yourself to understand!! It was just a tiny bit dry, but no big deal.Corn Cheese 9/10: it's a bit different then you typical corn cheese, it's on the sweeter side but It was still very good Pork belly and kimchee 12/10: Per usual I'm saving the best for last to review. SO GOOD. The flavor is there, the pork belly is cooked perfectly. Along with the warm kimchee, it made the perfect bit. Would 10/10 recommend this is must order.

This spot had some really nice snacks. When my group and I went, the setting was very relaxed and chill. The space is pretty small but it was still nice! The assortment of the pancakes were tasty. The pork belly was a bit plain by itself but the kimchi served with it made it delicious! That might've been the point actually! The French fries had smiley face versions. That alone made me wanna go back! The service was very nice and respectful!

I recently visited Butnal and had an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was spotless. The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with groups of friends enjoying their meals, making it the perfect spot to bring a group and share a variety of dishes.I ordered the army stew and the spicy pork belly and squid. Both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The army stew was hearty and comforting, but the spicy pork belly was the highlight for me--perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of heat and richness. To top it off, we tried a Greek yogurt popsicle, which was a refreshing and delicious way to end the meal.Overall, I highly recommend Butnal for anyone looking for a great place to share delicious food with friends. I'll definitely be coming back!

My hubby saw them on YouTube on Rockstar Eater's channel. You wouldn't notice them otherwise. A little hole in the wall, unpretentious entry. We went on a Thursday evening at around 7 pm when they were not busy. I understand they can get packed. Jin was super friendly, cute, and helpful. We only tried 3 things, but we'll have to return to try more. Everything was fantastic. We had the Squid Perilla Leaves pancake, the Fishcake Soup, and the Bossam. We thought we'd take some food home, but we ate everything, it was so good. In the end, Jin said we could get ice cream from the ice cream chest by the door. So, we even got a free ice cream. I had a bottle of a 21º ABV soju from the province where Jin is from. It was really good and definitely felt the extra alcohol compared to other sojus. Overall, we had a great dinner and we'll BE BACK!

### 2023 review 54/100 ### I won an IG giveaway for an Army Stew and boy, was I glad I came with hubs. It's one giant stew pot, plenty for 2 hungry to share! Super friendly service and very reasonable menu prices. Didn't drink but I hear they have the best priced soju. Can't wait to go back to try more items on their menu. Easy to find street parking.

I loved the ambience and the cherry blossom theme. The tteokbokki with assorted tempura was the best!! The free ice cream on the way out was unexpected but a cute little surprise as well. The female server who helped us out was very accommodating and kind :)

If you crave korean food, this place have a great selection that you would like to try them all. We tonight went we a classic Odentang, Kimchi Samguiopsal and a Tri pajjeon (3 different flavor panckake). Of course, if it's a weekend there's nothing that a Somek can't beat. Highly recommended.
