I'm currently on the search to find the best smashburger in LA/OC, so of course I had to try Burgers Never Say Die, which has been on my bucketlist for a while. The patty itself was excellent and resembled a perfect smashburger patty-- crispy, deeply browned crust with a juicy, tender interior. After trying various smashburgers, I've realized that it's not easy to get the patty to be properly crispy, but yet juicy. While the patty was good, I was not impressed by the toppings (ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions), that made it feel like a slightly elevated McDonald's burger. Also the price was rather high given the overall smashburger experience. ------Smashburger ranking:Taste: 6.5/10Price: 3/10Vibe: 4.5/10

Bottom line: on the lower end of the totem pole when it comes to smash burgers. Would recommend you visit other spots before trying your patty here. Side note: You silverlake natives are super generous in your critique. Like have you tried like any other smash burgers outside of your own shallow bubble?Making it my mission to hit up all the smash burger spots -- the new craze. Why the rampant rise of the smash? Well for one, thinly sliced burgers' overhead cost is somewhat minimal, and these burgers can commend a huge price tag -- usually around 14-15 dollars for a double. This was no exception. But the hefty price you pay doesn't always match quality received. The burger patty was simultaneously greasy and had a funky dry burnt taste with zero flavor. Like it wasn't seasoned or anything. The ends are supposed to be burnt yea, but they're also supposed to be crispy and not have such a fricking smoky burnt flavor. I'd submit they overcooked this on the grill . I don't know how they cook it. Do they use propane , flat grill, or a skillet? It tasted gnarly. This is the type of consistency I'd expect homegrown from a man/woman trying to impress his friends for a special event . But this is not a professionally made smash burger. To charge 13-14 for a regular is absolutely ridiculous. Also their soft-serve ice cream machine was down. Typical for a notorious golden arch restaurant.I guess you can compare this to that though? Both use the pickles, raw onion, ketchup 1-2-3 punch. The crispy fries and cheese dip are the one silver-lining eats I can find here. But I didn't come here for the fries. I came here for the burger. Still the fries are great .

Amazing burger. Cooked so perfect the fries were well done just as I like them. They both came out so hot and tasty and the cheese was still melting into it. Great place.

This has been on my list for literally years! But I never go to this area so it's never been convenient. I finally decided to try a new burger spot and the photos looked so great that I had to come here. One thing people don't mention with most of these places is there's no indoor seating lol, so beware if you're coming here for dinner in the winter, it was so cold we sat in our car. The food was great though! These aren't the best burgers I've ever had, but it's a solid option, I would say this would fall in my top 10 list. They give you a big bag of fries, and I love the way they cook theirs. The side of ranch is a must order in my opinion. The soft serve is delicious and they give you a lot! Now for the burger - I think the best order was the triple with everything in it, perfect proportion of ingredients and flavors, the meat was great quality and well cooked, I would definitely come back here... if I was in the area, but I wouldn't come out of my way. Solid option, I think the locals really like it because they had a bunch of Postmates/Uber eats orders. I know the reviews have bad comments on the staff, I personally did not have that experience, they were really nice, patient, and helpful when it came to ordering and suggestions for a new customer.

Came to LA with a group of friends with 2 focuses on our trip: 1. Hit up all the haunts and scary themed parks 2. Find the best smash burger joints and leave reviews on them allThis was our first stop on day 1 I'm now writing this review on the last day, after having 6 burgers in total, just meNever Say Die Burgers have a very classic taste to them. They're very simple yet just done right. It reminds me of what McDonalds should be doing. The bun is almost exactly the same.I didn't get both of my hands drenching in sauce like at other locations here. Yet every piece was devoured. They don't really do add one here like other locations do or do they have a side sauce. What they do have is a nacho cheese sauce you can get on the side. Which was good at first but then became hard to dip fries in. And then basically resembled velveeta from the box after about 5-10 min.The fries were also not that great. If I come back here again, I will request the fries freshly made and well done! If they get it wrong again, I won't order fries anymore and will only come back for the burger!

Burgers never say die has the most delicious smash burgers and the most confrontational service. You can't deny that the burgers are delicious (and so expensive) but they truly are not interested in accommodating anything. My friend asked for a substitution due to a food allergy and was told no pretty defiantly. The burgers are so tasty that i still go so that should tell you something. My suggestion is - be a little nicer please.

We got here late around 10 pm after unknowingly going to a vegan Burger spot- that wasn't happening as one in our party had to have a Beef Burger.Small parking lot and seating was all outdoor and limited. It looked like they had a dining area inside but it was closed.Orders are placed at a window-smaller all Burger menu with Soft Serve and Ice Cream. They offer Smash Burgers and we ordered a single and Double. Burgers came out with meted cheese and smashed crust edges. Fries were ok. The 3 tables were all taken and we ended up eating our Burger standing. Some were eating in their car. Seemed like more of a late night spot. Hopefully they open up dining area as that would help the vibe. The Lady that took our order was friendly. Turns out this is a popular spot and has made a Top LA Burger list-Overall was ok.

Great service, good burgers. Happy hour deals weekly, we came before a concert and it was a good pick me up. In terms of smashed burgers, it was alright definitely not the best but was not bad.Ample seating, not too loud. Rating: 7.9/10

Some things in LA never change - the Hollywood sign will always be missing the land. The walk of fame will always smell like pee. And BNSD will always have a great classic smash burger. Even before the smash burger craze hit LA, BNSD have been here serving triple deckers and crispy fries. Their menu is simple, their burgers are delicious, and they even have pup cups for the dogs coming from the dog park. Yes the line is always long and there's never enough seating, but you at least always know what you're going to get at burgers never say die
