I'm not vegetarian, but I thought this place was delicious and price was great considering the neighborhood we were in!My favorite was the Corn fritters - crispy yet light and airy, and so interesting! Also ordered Mee Krob because hadn't had it before but it was a bit too sweet for my tastes, not sure how it's supposed to be. The Grilled dumplings were good, pretty large on size and comes with delicious garlic sauce on the side. The yellow curry was also very tasty.Great Thai place, very cute and homey inside! Make sure you park on Santa Monica Blvd because they have a sign inside that says not to park in the surrounding neighborhood street

Bulan is my favorite vegan/vegetarian Thai spot in LA. There are several vegan Thai restaurants in the area with similar offerings on their menus, and for most items, Bulan does it best.Almost everything I've tried here has been delicious. Their vegan hot wings are incredible! There was one exception recently when I tried their pad woon sen (glass noodles) which were less stellar than I expected, so I almost hesitated to give 5 stars. But overall, everything else consistently delivers. They also have friendly and fast service, and a cozy ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating.

I can't say enough great things about this place! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Minnie, our amazing server, who was super friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She made us feel so welcome and taken care of.The restaurant has such a cute and cozy vibe. When my boyfriend and I went, we had the place to ourselves, which made it feel even more special. Now, onto the food--absolutely delicious AND affordable! We started with the steamed and grilled dumplings. Both were great, but the grilled ones won me over. Next, we tried the Wonton Soup and Poh Tak. While the Wonton Soup was great, the Poh Tak was the star of the show--sooo flavorful! I'll definitely be coming back just for that.We finished off with the Sate, which was also very good and rounded out the meal perfectly. If you're looking for amazing food, a cozy vibe, and top-notch service, this spot is a must-try. Thank you, Minnie!

This spot is small and quaint but serves great food. Service was good and our meals came out quickly. The veggie chicken wings were delicious, actually tasted like chicken and was close to the texture of chicken. The star of the show was the curry, delicious and creamy. Definitely a great spot to visit.

BULAN THAI V.K. is a nice little corner Thai restaurant that serve tasty food. It is located on Santa Monica blvd and Manzanita St in Silver Lake neighborhood of LA. Indoor vibe and design were relaxing and contemporaneously infused with Thai culture. Their menu has a modest food/drink items and competitively priced. Moreover, the entree food portion (e.g., noodles) match the price. We came here to grab lunch and had a Pad Woon Sen (VG), a glass noodle with vegetables and egg; and Spring rolls. Both food items were good. Service was on point. Staff were amiable and professional. Finding parking in the area can be challenging. Overall, this we had a delightful dine-in experience and enjoyed our healthy meal. I recommend this Thai spot.

The best Thai food I've had in a long while and it's vegetarian at that. Bonus for my plant based friends. If you have never tried their corn fritters, you're really missing out. They are huge, crispy, and just have amazing flavor. I hear they are even better with sweet and sour sauce so I'll need to try that next time. $10 and this yummy appetizer is vegan.Their pad thai has excellent flavor, better than a lot of places I've tried in the city. Perfect noodles and accompaniments. My only small gripe is the tofu in the pad thai was huge. For most people, I'm sure they'd love a big ol' inch by inch piece. I like the smaller pieces, so just personal preference.I actually have never had Mee Krob before and ended up loving it from Bulan Thai. The vermicelli was so crispy and whatever that house sauce is that they're tossed in, *chef's kiss*! So darn good. Thai Iced Coffee is nice and sweet for a little treat, as well.So to sum up, I had delivery from Bulan Thai and loved it. I would def try them again and venture into more of the menu.

Bulan, I'm beyond fond! This hidden restaurant on the unique corner of Manzanita Street and Santa Monica Blvd is a true must. After five visits since last summer and two of those within a week (Two days in a row) at this local Thai Kitchen cafe, specializing in vegetarian and vegan goodness with some quality gluten free options in the mix as well... I'm loving working my way through this extensive menu as well as getting to know the B.T.V.K. crew more and more!Sitting in their sturdy wooden chairs and having plenty of room at their slightly rustic tables with cool art, fixtures, lighting and spacing is like having a meal at home. You just feel welcome, and all are!Lunch on Saturday:Finally partaking in the Orange Chicken, with my favorite appetizer the Hot Wings w/ vegan ranch. The ranch is thin, a little different that you'd expect but like everything else... The flavor is what you truly savor at Bulan Thai. And it's got plenty! All with a a side of brown rice made for something extra nice!Dinner on Sunday:I joined my boyfriend and his buddies after the Off Sunset Festival. Great company, and all regulars. And all non-veggies who love good vegetarian and vegan food.Among all of us, a party a five... we had: two orders of Pad Thai, a Spicy Coconut Noodle Soup, a Mock Duck Curry (Diego aka babe aka the boyfriend's fav) and Garlic Noodles w/ Soy Chicken (my order aka the most delicious dish to date I've had at Bulan)! It was a table of variety... True food fun fare. Our service was tip top, like always which made for a beautiful time. Open everyday from 11:30 AM to 9, rain or shine you won't be disappointed with this Silverlake, Los Angeles, California find!Q Tips:Single use gender neutral bathroom, downstairs just before the main kitchen.Parking on Manzanita Street is restricted to residents w/ parking permits and even then it's 2hrs max Monday through Saturday from 8AM to 6PM. Parking on or near Santa Monica Blvd is recommended.QR Code and physical menus available for use.Available for dine-in, takeout and/or delivery!

Bulan Thai was so good! The vegan hot wings were the highlight--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and they tasted just like the real thing. I couldn't believe they weren't actual wings! We also had the spring rolls, orange chicken, and pad Thai. Every dish was super flavorful, with fresh ingredients and a great mix of sweet and savory. It's so refreshing to find an all-vegan spot that nails the authenticity of Thai flavors. If you're in the mood for Thai food, you've got to try this place--those hot wings alone are worth the trip!

Everything here is always great. I love the dumplings and the sauce (it's so good I end up eating the shredded cabbage that comes with it - yum!) There are just so many tasty options.
