My go-to sushi place! It's just plain yum. The staff and owner are extremely nice. Always great service and pretty fast at that too. I always enjoy all of their sushi rolls and sashimi as they use fresh fish, veggies and avocado. Their chicken karage is so yummy too! Same with the tempera! Not too heavy but perfectly fried! I love coming here for a sushi fix but super glad I can bring non-sushi friends too, as they have a wide variety of non-sushi offerings too. I've been coming here for years and it's just plain comfort food with nice people.

Love this place. I have been a regular for years. Service and food always excellent. Come here for lunch andMy favorites include the ramen, sushi, udon, Tako sunomono salad. Usually sit at the bar so I can see the fresh fish and talk to the sushi chefs. The nabeyaki udon is terrific.

We came here on a Friday a little before 6:30pm. There were plenty of room to sit and it was spacious. We were seated immediately and the server was very friendly. It didn't take long before our food came out. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend eating here.

Enjoyed lunch at this little spot in Glendale. Simple dining room, seated and served fast, got a whole booth to myself. Chirashi was a good value at $22 as was the mixed tempura (3 shrimp! Generous for $11). Forgot to take a pic of the masago sushi, but that was good too. I think my fave was the salmon, but all the fish was pretty solid. Would eat there again.

Late review, but after a whole day of work, my team just needed a good meal that fills us up. We went every night for dinner- it was that good. We ordered everything from bento boxes to rolls to appetizers and everything was great.The owner was very funny and cracked jokes with us. We love this place!

Good value Japanese course meal!I came here with my friend that raved about this restaurant being his first meal when he came to the United States and how he always comes back. The lunch specials and the dinner specials are a great deal because it comes with rice, salad, miso soup, and ice cream at the end. It's a filling meal and with a variety of items to pick from.I highly recommend getting the 3 choice dinner special because there are so many good options. I went with the Pork Katsu, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Teriyaki Salmon. Hands down, teriyaki salmon was the best. I love the crispy texture of the fried skin and the teriyaki sauce is perfectly glazed on the salmon. My next pick would be their spicy tuna rolls. It's more spicy than I can recall, but so delicious. Their pork katsu is a little dry and not as flaky as I'd like, but overall the combo is a great option. They have a decent sized parking area that's free so I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Love love love this place. We come here maybe once or twice a month now for about 6 years. It's our go to for casual date night sushi. Mazatake, the sushi chef always greets us with a smile and knows what we want ahead of time. We love Buko. It's very family oriented and run. I feel like I'm on vacation in Japan when I come here. The food quality is top notch. The ambience is perfect. Not pretentious just authentic! Come support this little restaurant. It's guaranteed to becoming your favorite too!

The worst quality of sushi I ever got across in California in 40 years. Just awful!!! We all had stomach aches right after eating. NO BUKO EVER AGAIN!
