Lovely staff/cashiers. They explained to me how Turkish coffee was different from other types with details of how it is prepared (without a filter) and how the taste can be experimental (as the grounds are still in the cup, the coffee brews (or steeps) and the flavor profile can change as it sits/cools). Fun and experimental as it's normally something I don't drink. I did my Turkish coffee with the Ethiopia bean. Wonderfully nuanced and bright/fruity without being overpowering. Note that the coffee will be thicker! Especially towards the end. Ambiance was chill with some people working and others catching up with friends. Not crazy busy as customers come in small waves, and never empty. Nice place to take a break and observe the city in the AM.Coffee was great I had to get an iced cafe latte to go too!

Being a coffee aficionado I tend to be drawn to places like this. A neighborhood cafe where you feel welcomed and know you won't be disappointed:)Now if you didn't live in this area you would not know this place existed. But lucky me!!! My sister works in this area and brought me here on Saturday while I was waiting for my mini cooper's oil to be changed. I stepped inside and knew my coffee would be perfect. There was plenty of seating which is always a plus. Manny took care of us at the counter. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. I finally got a "Flat White" that was made properly. (Unlike my Vegas Starbucks disaster). It had the perfect ratio of espresso & foam with a smooth taste. 5/5!!!We also ordered a few pastries to share including an artichoke danish that was delicious. The inside was very clean with high ceilings and comfy benches. It's a good place to hang if you need to get some work done without being bothered and/or to enjoy your coffee with friends. *Street parking *Dogs on leashes allowed

Grabbed a matcha latte with almond milk here before a work lunch meeting nearby and I would give the matcha a 4/5. They don't sweeten their drinks but you can add your own sugar or honey at the little station near the door. Looks super cute and rustic inside. Lots of seating inside and I saw people working so I might come back to do some remote work here. Parking: metered street parking or nearby paid lots

Excellent café in the Arts District. The espresso is fantastic! The café is also spacious enough to sit and leisurely enjoy your coffee while people watching.

Overall great coffee stop with great coffee beans to choose from. The interior of this roaster is so aesthetic and is a great place to sit and hang with friends. I did notice something odd. They handed me my iced americano in a doubled up coffee paper cup, even though I noticed everyone else had their iced drinks in the typical clear cups. Weird, but it didn't detract from my experience here! Including a picture of my friend's cappuccino. Definitely give Boxx a try if you're in the area.

Was able to visit again. Coffee and food were as good as we remembered it. Pretty consistent, which is what you want. Same with the service.There was less less available seating during this visit - there are definitely more people later in the day and also, it's raining so everyone was huddled inside.No chocolates on site for the little one - I was informed it was because they don't serve sweet drinks.Artichoke Danish was warm and delicious.Ham and cheese croissant is flaky.Chocolate cookie is very good.Cortado is strong and more concentrated.Latte is strong and doesn't taste milky at all.Matcha Latte was delicious.Triple Chocalate Cookie is delicious.I love the space here. It's beautiful. Also, they roast the coffee on site.

Great pastries - I loved the Cheese Danish, it had a nice little hint of spice, it was flaky, and they served it warm which was fantastic! 7.5/10Overall: I loved the ambiance of the place, super nice environment to study/do work in! Their staff was super friendly and allowed my friend and I to try some of their different roasts before ordering. I think there's only street parking for this place which is a bit inconvenient. Their drinks were refreshing and at a good price point but both drinks were a bit watery in my opinion. Not a lot of sweeter drink options though, unless you add a ton of sugar on your own.Matcha latte $6.50: 3.5/5 The latte came unsweetened so I went over to the little bar they had with sugars and added as much as I felt was the perfect amount. I asked for light ice and they still filled my cup! The only thing was I did feel like the matcha wasn't too strong, making it feel really watery. Other than that, it definitely still satisfied my matcha craving.Custom mixed roast with oatmilk $5.45: 3/5 the barista mixed two different types of roasts and added oatmilk, the drink was very diluted but the coffee beans genuinely smell pretty authentic. ppl who LOVE coffee and know coffee would rly like this cafe cuz they have a lot of different roasts with fancy names that i dont understand (lol) great price point though for LA.

This is a fun spot for your various coffee or tea drinks on 3rd Street in the Art's District. The main thing to know about this business is that they truly take their time with the creation of their drinks. Meaning, you can be sure that whatever drink you order will be well crafted. Boxx Coffee has both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a very nicely designed indoor space. They have several table to sit back, have a conversation or look at your computer, and enjoy your drink. They also have a few tables outside, which is my favorite place to sit. In either case, this is a fun and enjoyable place to sit back and enjoy what they have to offer.Overall, if you want a really good morning or afternoon latte, and maybe a snack, or if you want to meet a friend over a cappuccino, this is a great place to go.
