What can I say? The food, the service, the atmosphere, the wine list were all exceptionally great. We were there for a business meeting dinner with a fairly large group. There are plenty of various size tables for groups of every size. Park at the parking garage as they validate your parking ticket. Otherwise, you may find the street parking to be hard to find, specially during dinner time. If you like red wine, this is definitely the place to order one. Be ready to open your wallet though, as you definitely pay for what you receive. We were happy to pay because what we experienced was what we were hoping for; An outstanding dinner experience!

Ordered:- Steak Tartare (5/5): Just a solid take on tartare. We also liked that it came with waffle cut chips!- Brussels Sprouts with Miso Caramel (5/5): nice balance of acidity with the basalmic vinegar and a slight kick of spice. - Prime Delmonico Rib Eye (3/5): This cut was a lot leaner than we expected for rib eye and as a result was pretty chewy, despite us ordering it medium rare. For the price, we were expecting much more so we were a bit disappointed.Overall (4/5): On top of our order we were served complimentary fries which was super fun as there were three different combinations of fries and dipping sauce pairings. Also, we got free sparkling strawberry soda and a nicely hand drawn card as we were celebrating an anniversary. Service was top tier and they helped us take photos too. It was a bit noisy but still loved it for a date vibe with a beautiful interior. Unfortunately the we weren't very impressed by the rib, but we'd still come back for the happy hour menu which looked delicious!

I'll start by staying that my husband and I have really enjoyed Bourbon Steak in the past. BUT... this Saturday was definitely NOT one of those times, as we visited to celebrate a birthday. It started out well enough -- there was a birthday card at our table signed by the staff. Really nice touch. Service can make or break the success of a restaurant and I've always been impressed with Bourbon. Perhaps more than any other fine restaurant in the LA area. But this time everything seemed to go wrong. I'll try to be succinct:-- Most important, the food which I've always loved was not up to Bourbon's standards. The duck rolls seemed ... off. The shrimp cocktail was good. The steak was just okay (more on that in a moment). And the lobster/mac and cheese -- a special -- was not very special (especially at the $100 price point). You might go to Mostros to see how it can be a true delight. -- We ordered dessert at the encouragement of our waiter. We ordered one slice a cheesecake to share. I stopping checking my watch at the 25 minute mark but about 30 minutes passed and there was still no dessert at our table. A table, by the way, that was cleared already so I'm surprised nobody was curious why these two guys were sitting at an empty table for so long. I finally cancelled the order which seemed to spark some energy among the staff. But we were definitely not in the mood for dessert anymore. They hurriedly brought out a slice of cheesecake (on the house) that wasn't plated so much as the cake was quickly dropped on a plate and rushed out to us. We didn't eat it.-- Our waiter dropped our steak on the table when he was boxing our leftovers. Then just scooped it up and dropped it into the box.-- Then the kicker: I'm not sure what went wrong but I'll try my best to explain. When we ordered, I pointed out on the menu that we each wanted the Delmonico Rib Eye steak. I remember it was on the left-hand side of the menu. The price point was $89 each. Then the waiter asked us some questions that threw us and I'm sure this is where things went wrong. He asked if we wanted it bone in or bone out. What did we know? Maybe the Delmonico steak comes both ways. Apparently, what we got and were charged for was a Cowboy Ribeye -- a far more expensive (not not very tasty) item. When the bill came and I pointed out to issue, we were told, "Oh you got the Cowboy Rib Eye... sorry." I'm thankful that I can pay that extra amount without any worry. But I do wonder about other guests who might encounter the same issue and may not be ready or able to pay the extra amount. A suggestion: If you go to Bourbon despite this review, make double sure the waiter gets your order right. Otherwise, it could be costly.Bottom line: we left Bourbon with a sour taste. And it's unlikely we'll be back anytime soon... if at all.

We had to push back our reservation for 4 a couple times because we got tied up in a fancy store (Tiffany's) at the Caruso Signature plaza. Our server, Nick, made our entire dining experience here so memorable. It was a special dinner with the cousins and Nick took great care of us. The restaurant itself was nicely, dimly lit which set the mood for a serious and delicious meal! One of the cousins is pregnant so she wasn't able to have the Ceasar salad since it had raw egg but Nick brought us truffle bread which was unassumingly DELICIOUS. Pregnant cousin devoured that as well as her chicken plate. I enjoyed my rib eye cap prepared medium. Other cousin enjoyed her lamb chops, and other cousin enjoyed her NY strip steak prepared medium. For sides we had the mushrooms, and truffle Mac & cheese. Everything was SO GOOD! We didn't have space for dessert but I'm certain I'll be back real soon so I'll give desserts a try then. We enjoyed a couple old fashioned, and mock tails. Classy vibes and a great place for catching up with a group of family/friends. Thanks again, Nick & staff for your hard work and excellent service.

On New Year's Eve, I treated myself to their set meal, priced at $150 per person plus tax, and it was worth every penny. The portions were generous, and I instantly fell in love with the fries from the starter crispy, flavorful, and paired with a variety of delicious sauces. These fries were a pleasant surprise, especially since they usually don't stand out at other restaurants.Their signature onion soup is a must-try . It's unique and flavorful. And then there's the steak, an absolute highlight of the meal. Cooked to perfection with excellent quality meat, it was juicy, tender, and expertly grilled. The portions were so large we couldn't finish everything. To top it all off, the dessert was incredible, decadent and the perfect ending to the meal. The restaurant's service was excellent, and the festive atmosphere added to the experience. The interior had a fresh and inviting vibe, making the evening even more enjoyable.Having visited this restaurant several times, I can confidently say it's a gem. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend giving it a try!

We made reservations for my husband's birthday and we were not so pleased with the service or food. I got the lobster tail. My husband got steak. The tuna tartare was interesting. The complimentary fries were good. It wasn't that memorable and we wouldn't go back. They didn't acknowledge the birthday note on the reservation either - which I didn't appreciate it. Took forever to get a server to come to us, overall I was not a fan.

Overall this was a great dinner from the service to the food and the cocktails... what a good dinning experience. I can't remember my servers name but he was super pleasant and attentive. We had 4 people for dinner, and everyone one of us had the same high opinion of dinner. Verde salad was very tasty, we had tuna tartare which was good, the table had lettuce cups with it due to one of our friends gluten allergy. Side dishes we had the creamed spinach the table favorite by far, the chili broccoli which was good and the Brussels sprouts. Personally I have realized that I don't love Brussels sprouts, although they were decent it is always everything the Brussels sprouts are cooked with/in that I like the sprout itself. Now for me I had the Australian wagyu filet, of course super soft and buttery like you would expect from a filet but had a little meaty flavor. This was excellent! My buddy had the prime New York, what a delicious meaty steak. And our wives had the branzino. Which was cooked perfectly, moist and delicious such a nice fish dish. To top the night off the sever recommended their Basque cheese cake, it is a chocolate cake which I did not think I would like but it was so light and not too sweet, again everyone at the table loved this.

Last weekend I went to Bourbon Steak to celebrate my sister's business accomplishment while visiting California. The restaurant was located in the Americana at Brand in Glendale. There is a large parking deck and the restaurant validates parking for some amount of time. We still paid $15 when we left so I'm not sure for what period of time they validate. There were four people in my party. We were greeted by two friendly hostesses and immediately sat in the lux dining room. Our server was also very pleasant. We decided to eat family style. We ordered 2 Delmonico Ribeyes (one with smoked blue cheese), caesar salad, the sauce trio, potato puree, truffle mac and cheese, and the broccoli. Wins: - The meal started with the complimentary fries. I personally did not like them because they are not served hot, but the rest of the party enjoyed them and the three dipping sauces.- The salad was well dressed and was enough for three of us to share. - We also enjoyed the wine, coffee, and dessert. They had a nice variety of after dinner drinks. - Overall, the wait staff was attentive and friendly. - The ambiance is beautiful with soft lighting and comfortable seating. - There was a DJ who played great music. It was the perfect volume where you could hear the music, but still enjoy a conversation. Cons:- It took our entrees and sides forever to come out. We ordered at 7:35 and it was at least an hour before our entrees were served. - When we ordered they asked if we wanted our steaks sliced, we said no... both came sliced anyway. - The steaks were not cooked to the requested temperatures and were warm, not hot when served. - All of our sides were cold. Not warm, COLD! - The manager was rude and condescending. When she came to our table she stated, "I'm sorry your food was not as hot as you would like it." No, they were cold and definitely should have never been brought out of the kitchen. The serving dishes were not even warm. This was unacceptable especially for the level of service and quality you expect when dining here. Additionally, she never came back to ask how we liked everything that was re-prepared. Our steaks were warmed and new sides were brought out, but the food issues completely ruined what should have been a celebration. By the time everything came back out we were tired and ready to go. I would not recommend this steakhouse. Considering our check was over $400, the food quality should have been superior but missed the mark. Additionally, we did not receive the level of service expected from management. Save your money and try another steakhouse. This is not a steakhouse I would go to again or recommend.

We decided to celebrate my promotion with nice dinner at our long forgotten. When we went on OpenTable to make a reservation we saw we had pur pick of times, at 6p on a Friday night. This should have been our red flag but decided why not? We were immediately greeted and a minute later we were off to be seated. The hostess offered to switch our napkins for the darker ones. She immediately returned. We sat at our table for a moment and were greeted by our waiter's assistant. He offered waters and waters brought along with menues. We sat for at least seven minutes before our waiter, Oscar, came to check in and take our drink order. Our drinks arrived, delicious per usual and our waters get refilled. We place our order and off we go. The caesar salad arrives, light on the garlic strurssle; the beef tartar arrives, sans egg yet, the bone marrow we ordered was no where to be seen. If you have ever had the tartar and bone marrow together, you know. After a bite of the tartar and watching my fiance finish the caesar, Oscar makes an appearance to see how everything is. I let him know it had been 7 minutes since we received the food in front of us and were still waiting on a portion of the course. He apologized and said he'd send a manager over. At this point Angela came over, apologized, stated she would look into the issue. As soon as she left our table our bone marrow came out. When we finished our appetizers, it was the most bizarre experience. The server assistant came and refilled our waters and placed an extra butter knife and fork in front of my fiance and myself. No more than 30 seconds later he came out and placed another set of flatware. On our table for 2, we had enough flatware for a party of 5. At this point, we've come to terms with this is not the restaurant it once was. The empasis on steps of service and guest experience, are gone. The level of service provided would embarrass a shift supervisor at Black Angus. Our waiter came by and looked at the flatware on the table, didn't say a word and simply cleared it off the table and set it with appropriate utinsels. One look at the steak, you could instantly tell it spent some time in holding / staging / heatlamp area, the bernaise topper was solidified and what should have been a perfect medium rare had lost all signs of pinkness. The brussel sprouts were an absolute salt bomb, however kudos for a passable potato puree. After we had finished what we could, the assistant came by and boxed our leftovers and awkwardly left the boxes on the table. Without saying a word, our server came by our table, placed the boxes in a brown bag and walked away. Oscar came back with a token and stated we would be able to retrieve our food from the hostess stand when we left. He offered dessert, he went on about a chocolate lava cake, with two scoops of ice cream, luxardo cherries and a cookie crisp. This was an easy yes. Then what arrived...The Bourbon Steak 24k gold Sundae. Which, while a great sundae, was absolutely not what was described. At this point, we ask for the check, they removed the bone marrow, paid our bill and proceeded to the host stand. When we handed our token to one of the hostesses, she asked what it was for. This is comical, embarassing and unfortunately a direct reflection of what management has allowed to occur. We let her know it's for our left overs. While figuring out how to retrieve the food, we're approached by Moss, she inquired as to how our evening was. Moss was a delight and highlight of the evening. My fiance even asked her for a dessert menu and wow no choclate lava cake. She was attentive and listened to our experience with more attentiveness than Angela. She apologized profusely. This used to be a go to standard. Service was typically impeccable, some servers even gettong 50 to 100 percet tips on bills. Sadly, the luster is gone and good enough has become good enough. Minus the closing interaction with Moss, theres no reason to come here. The server's don't care enough to properly describe menu offerings and put in orders correctly, assistants don't care enough to keep waters full and management either doesn't know or worse, doesn't care. The interaction with the servers was disingenuous and sterile while the conversation with management appeared to set the night in the right direction it proved to be nothing more than the appearance of motion instead of accountability of progress.
