They haven't updated their menu in years. Half the things you see on website and yelp are crossed off when you actually come for dine in.I thought I would be able to get black bean burger, but they don't serve that. And when I asked for vegetarian options the waitress just said they only have a wrap where they could substitute for avocado.Then she vanished.

Good was excellent and had a great variety! Service was A+++. Ambiance was great and makes you forget where you are at for a bit.

Loved the decor here! So many dogs pictures EVERYWHERE! Cheeseburger - Subbed the meat patty for a bean one. Although the burger was delicious, I wish they put some type of condiment on it. Not sure if it was forgotten in the kitchen but once I got some ketchup the burger tasted great! A very classic rendition of a cheeseburger. Comes with fries. They were my favorite type too - crunchy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. Prices were pretty affordable. The staff were friendly. Definitely coming back here!

I love this place! I often stop here because it's commuter located right off the 405 or 101 is a great place to meet for people who live in different parts of the LA metro

I've been doing a lot of review catch up. My review for Blue Dog Beer Tavern is probably base on my 2012 visit. lolAbout 10+ years ago I learned that Blue Dog has one of the best burgers in the San Fernando Valley. During that time I was very open to check out new places and find out if it is, the best burger in the valley. Since then I have visited Blue Dog a handful of times. Not because it isn't good, but more of the convenience factor for me. During those handful of times I have tried different burgers on their menu and also some from their specials. All the burgers were delicious and for a time I claimed that this place, was the best burger in the valley. There was something about pairing a good burger with a nice pint of beer. Just taking a glance at the menu back then comparing to now, it seems that the place has minimized their menu by a lot. I will make my return when my friend returns from Japan as he would like to take an America burger tour around Los Angeles. Parking: small private lot, street parkingVERDICT: One and done

Cool spot; however, when I arrived with my dog the person in the front made us sit in the patio. About 20 minutes later, another person came in with a dog and she put it in her bag. Seems like they allowed her inside just because her dog was really small (not a service dog). After bringing it up to their attention, they still didn't do anything about it. They need to learn how to treat everybody fairly.

I have been going to this sweet neighborhood tavern for over ten years and it feels like it's in its finest incarnation right now. The servers are phenomenal. So kind, so helpful, so much attention to detail and quality service. I always look forward to going here, relaxing and enjoying the ambiance and the staff's kindness. This is a very special place, but the people who work here make it even more special. It wouldn't be the same without them. Wonderful beer selection and amazing burgers too!

4/5 for the food, service, and location. My fiance and I were super hungry after going to the beach for a couple of hours, and he found this place, so we decided to check this place out. Food: We ordered the Fried Cauliflower Boneless Wings, Garlic Fries, and the Tri-Tip Burger. The cauliflower was crispy! I loved the portions and the batter stayed on, which was great. The garlic fries were also a perfect crisp. The tri-tip burger was great with the sweet potato fries. I loved the food, it was perfect. Drinks: My fiance ordered a flight and I got the Allagash Curieux. Perfect pairing with our food, highly recommend. Service: We came during Happy Hour and got seated immediately. No complaints, all our servers were super nice. The environment was super chill, so it was nice to be able to have some space to just relax and eat our food. Loved it. Location: Parking can be kind of hard since the lot shares parking with other businesses. I'd recommend coming on the off-peak hours. Otherwise, if you're ok with it, there's street parking and you just have to walk. Will definitely come here again! I like their food and I love all the little polaroid photos of their dogs haha. Great environment.

Lovely server, she was very nice and patient. We didn't feel rushed at all. I only had the grilled chicken sandwich which was great. Would definitely go again!
