My family had the Bludso's Tray and everything was FIRE!!!!! Our favorite was the brisket, but everything is a must try! Their sides were also really good! If I had to rank the meats, it would be the following:1. Brisket2. Rib Tips3. Pork Ribs4. Chicken5. Red Hots6. Pulled porkI would rank the sides as:1. Mac n' Cheese2. Cole Slaw3. Beans4. Collars Greens5. Potato SaladThe pickles and corn bread were great too, overall one of the best BBQ spots I've tried in the L.A area.

I did the DineLA lunch menu, it came with your choice of 2 meats and your choice of 2 sides and corn bread. It was the right portion of a lunch meal for myself. I love the hot corn bread and lathered on the honey butter to let it soak in. I chose pulled pork & brisket as my meat and chose Mac and cheese & potato salad as my sides. I like the seasoning on the pulled pork and felt like the slice of brisket was on the dry side instead of juicy. I also chose mild sauce to go with my meats- I'm not a spicy sauce person. It was a little quieter during lunch, but service was quick. For dessert we ordered the banana pudding- I thought it was lighter and more creamy. Parking- street parking

This is my second time here and the first was by far the better of the two. I ordered the same meal and the only difference is we sat at work he bar this time. The portions were smaller and it felt like something was missing. The french fries are treated like appetizers and are brought out to the table in advance of the meal which results in cold fries by the time the meal arrives. After my last visit, I was excited to return and while I am not against returning for a third time, I am not sure the drive up from Long Beach may no longer be worth it.

Heard of Bludso's through YouTube , and it did not disappoint. Tried the Brisket , Pork Ribs and the loaded fries and they were all cooked to perfection. The spicy bbq sauce was yum ! If you go on a weekday they have happy hour from 4-6 and it's not too busy.

My experience at Bludso's was awesome, from the delicious mouthwatering food and melt in your mouth brisket and ribs to the outstanding side items. I loved the family style dining experience and the serving staff was impeccable.

First of all, the staff is great, and the service is great. Pro tip, get there right around 7:00 PM and you'll find plenty of free parking right in front. You won't be able to park in front from 4-7 PM during the week. Not sure about the weekend parking restrictions. It's a very simple place. Wood tables, bench seated booths, concrete floor. It works out just right. The tables were a little close together but it didn't interfere with our conversation at all. The service is great. We had our food less than five minutes after placing our orders. Everything on the dinner menu is separate even though the main items are listed as "dinners" on the menu. If you order a meat dish, that's all you get. You need to order all the sides, including cornbread, separately. They do have a reasonably priced lunch menu that does include sides. Much better deal. I was disappointed with the barbecue. it wasn't bad, just not great. The pork ribs were dry. Not fall off the bone type. They had good flavor and were meaty, but dry. The tri-tip was half fat. It was delicious, but half fat. I've never had tri-tip with so much fat.For sides, we had cornbread, baked beans, and potato salad. Yes, on all three of them!I'd go back, though. I like the location, the casualness, the great staff, and the fast service. They also do a lot of takeout, so remember them for that, too!

You won't find a better Texas BBQ spot in So Cal other then Bludso's. My #1 spot for barbecue in Los Angeles County. Great service, clean, nice atmosphere w/ a bar near the dining area that ain't overly loud. Cool to watch football games and grab a nice meal. Been coming here for awhile, Best pork ribs, brisket and sides. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner. Casual spot. Street parking. Depending on the time wether you have to pay the parking meter. Worth it.

I visited the old Bludso's in Compton, after seeing the review on Triple D. AFter ten years, the location has changed and expanded throughout Los Angeles, even the Valley. The food is still as I remember and the restaurant is a sit down bar atmosphere. Being on a busy street, there is limited street parking, so watch out for the signs, as there is no parking after 4:00 PM on the main drag. Hopefully you can make it when they open, as parking is plentiful and it's less crowded. Because I took out my order, I can't really comment on the service, but the cashier was pleasnt and informative over the phone. I plan to visit the other locations to see how they stack up to the restaurant bar in the Fairfax area!
