Blackwood Coffee Bar

Blackwood is your ideal neighborhood coffee shop. It's small, quaint and super chill. The space is narrow with indoor and outdoor seating and is decorated super cute. The outdoor seating is sprinkled with succulents and is set up with comfy chairs. Inside they have cozy seating and lots of little goodies to peruse through, my favorites being the cannabis confections. They offer flavorful coffee, yummy pastries and savory breakfast options. They also have a fridge with some breakfast items and drinks to go. Every single person that works here is so very kind and belpfjlWe loved our Latin cold brews and breakfast sandwiches. I'm so thankful to have this gem in my neighborhood and will definitely be back.

Blackwood Coffee Bar is a charming spot that truly delivers a cozy atmosphere. we found it spacious and welcoming, with plenty of seating options, from comfy couches to communal tables. The service was friendly, setting a pleasant tone for our visit.We tried two drinks: the Morning Wood cold brew, which was a cold brew with cinnamon, foam, and toasted pecans, and a dirty chai with vanilla foam. The cold brew stood out for its delightful sweetness, enhanced by the house made syrups. We also sampled the banana walnut bread, which was a great complement to our drinks.Overall, Blackwood Coffee Bar offers a unique coffee experience, and I'm looking forward to returning!

The European barista is super rude and awkward. The entire cafe was empty ALL DAY and he kept walking around policing the only two girls in the cafe. (Making me move tables, telling us we can't sit the way we were and that our feet needed to both be flat on the floor). Then he proceeded to lecture us about how to behave in a public place (I could barely understand what he was saying his accent was so thick...). We just stared at him in silence with our earphones still on.At one point a homeless man came up to a woman outside and said super inappropriate things to her, to the point where she was yelling "GET THE F*** AWAY FROM ME, GO AWAY" and this guy did nothing. I'm not kidding, two other women had to scare the homeless guy away as this barista just stayed in the back staring.... It was super cringe. He doesn't seem to like people very much. Or You shouldn't work in public service if you're going to present super miserable your whole shift. And maybe, I don't know, protect the women in your shop from aggressive men that wander off the street onto your business. Won't be coming here anymore.

I've been here twice - the first time I got the Latin cold brew and wasn't super impressed - the spice and milk settled at the bottom and just wasn't anything special. The second time I went for the strawberry matcha and it was DELICIOUS. I've had this craving for it and this shop delivered. It was perfect for the sunny day and a nice walk.

While working in Hollywood, I stopped here for breakfast one rising on a friend's recommendation and really enjoyed it. The space was mostly clean (could use some attention to detail as there was pet hair on some of the cushions) and inviting with lounge chairs and a colorful patio. .The blonde-ish woman at the counter donned a cute white graphic t-shirt and she was smiling and friendly. She walked me through a couple of menu options I wanted. Ultimately, I order a strawberry matcha and got a chia pudding and both were light and fresh for breakfast. I love the latte art and strawberry in the matcha was the perfect sweetener..It started to get busy in there right around 8:30 am so get there early to beat the line!

I got the Vanilla Bean Latte ($7) with cashew+almond+date milk (+$1) & strawberry cold foam (+$1). The latte tasted super watered down & sour. Only got a faint taste of the cold foam & vanilla bean. My bf got the "Morning Wood" cold brew - also sour & bitter. There was a simple syrup bottle on the side but it barely helped; the sourness was too much. Had much better coffees for less than $9 :(

I live in Austin, but my brother lives down the street, so I ALWAYS make it a point to stop at Blackwood when I visit.The coffee is great, the people are super friendly, great atmosphere, and the Vegan Bodega Sandwich is my fav!

Good work space, plenty of street parking, around trendy cool shops and restaurants, coffee is okay perhaps it was a bad say so I will have to go back. Its a cute date spot pleanty of indoor and cute outdoor seating. There is a wind instrument store right around the corner and so is guitar center if you are dating a music enthusiast

Really cute spot but the coffee was very watered down. I was told they make their own almond milk so maybe that contributed to the watered down latte? I asked them to remake it with whole milk and it still had a watered down taste to it. Very disappointing.

Stopped in here after being recommended this location by an employee at Guitar Center. Got an oat latte which was served incredibly fast. Also got the banana bread which was as good as they guaranteed! Thanks Patrick and Ian.
