Black Market Liquor Bar

My friends and I met up here for dinner the other day to catch up. Walking in, it felt like I was stepping into an old school, sophisticated restaurant. The lighting was dark, but didn't feel uninviting. We arrived just after they opened, so it wasn't too crowded yet. As the night went on, more and more people started coming into the restaurant. I'm a big fan of Top Chef and have been to Antonia's other restaurant in Venice. So I was excited to try this spot. We came during Dine LA, but we decided to share plates instead. The dishes are tapas style, and come out as they're ready. We ordered the burrata, meatballs, penne and Brussel sprouts which was more than enough food for the table. All were delicious. I especially enjoyed the meatballs, which I order a lot. These ones were the perfect size, and weren't dry which I find a lot of restaurant meatballs to be. The burrata had bits of pomegranate seeds which added a bit of a pop each time you took a bite. I'd definitely recommend all of the dishes. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Lovely spot. This was a surprise birthday dinner and overall it was a good experience. Ryan our server made it extra special for the experience and was very attentive to the whole experience. Kudos to him. Thank you Ryan!I love the spot. I do see it as a Liquor Bar but with tapas style food to boot. The place def has a vibe. The ceiling is very interesting and the vibe feels like something out of an English tavern or pub somewhat. Pretty cool. The place is a bit loud but what do you expect when the wine and spirits are flowing. It was pretty packed. Def need a reservation ;-)The food was very good. Well crafted, and every dish was presented and tasted with precision, love, and goodness. Please know this is a tapas menu so you'll get little bites and also you can enjoy some cocktails or wine to supplement the experience. The drinks were good. Not amazing but good. Sometimes too much ice can make it seem like I'm licking on ice cubes rather than a well crafted cocktail so yea 6 cubes of ice in cocktail is too much ice in a cocktail -- I expect one large cube or 2 to three small/med, besides that they were good. I would have rather done wine since the food could have made the whole experience even better. The only caveat was probably how quickly the food came out even when ordering 2 dishes at a time. Just a bit slow but still there was absolutely nothing wrong with the tasties--a great place to come for some friends, to have good drinks, and enjoy some fine flavors! This place gets packed the ambiance is chill with a dim light setting. The food is delicious the meatballs were cooked perfect with a tasty sauce and just the right amount of cheese & garlic, chicken taquitos were so yum, they were crunchy but light the meat was so tender and it was full of flavor, the shrimp was delightful and tasted very much like ceviche so good, the dill potato chips were so good light, crispy with sea salt & vinegar, fried cauliflower was my favorite, lightly battered and had a tangy sauce to dip into, so good, the cavatelli was cooked perfect and probably my second favorite dish and we had the chicken parmesan, finger licking good! They have so many options on their dessert menu. We ordered, vanilla Ice cream, Deep-fried fluffernutter, and Sticky toffee pudding. OMG!! So good! If you ever in studio city, you got to stop by and try this place out. It will not disappoint!

Been coming here for many years. Food, service, and ambiance is amazing. Their kitchen knows what they are doing.You can't go wrong with anything in the menu. Con: they close early, street parking limited but they do have valet parking. Pro: food, service, ambiance. Bar / restaurant

Black Market is a staple for so many of my friends. Service is always exceptional, cocktail menu is ever changing and always interesting. Food is good. Great spot to catch up with new friends, old friends, meet up. The interior is gorgeous. There are also outdoor tables. Taquitos and trout are always a fave. The Brussels and cauliflower are both on par with the best versions ordered out. Finished off with sticky toffee pudding which had great texture and consistency. The tequila cocktails are also always a good choice, the army navy was pretty good. Cocktails are a bit pricey.

Will always be a big fan of Black Market. Cocktails are superb, food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is cozy with some romantic vibes. Their dirty martini is perfect. My husband's favorite drink is the Son of a Bee Sting which is no longer on their menu, but they are willing to make it if you ask! Plates are small and great for sharing. Our latest visit, we got our usual deviled quail eggs and ricotta gnudi. The ricotta gnudi is one of our favorite dishes ever. When we came in, we also got to take advantage of their happy hour menu, which was nice for a Saturday night, and got the caesar salad to start. We also ordered the mussels which were on the small side, but the broth was outstanding. It comes with bread for dipping!I've also seen lots of celebs here which is fun. Service is always great. I'm a super fan!

I came here with my best friend and husband and it was definitely a treat. Parking sucks unfortunately but we got lucky and found a spot right up front. The items we ordered were the Charred brussels sprouts, Barada, meatballs, cavatelli, smoked trout. The smoked trout was not my favorite but it still tasted really good. The service was a little slow as it was incredibly busy. We made a reservation to be sat outside but they sat us indoors which we were pretty annoyed with. What's the point of making a reservation and asking indoors or outdoors? Either way, the food was good, the ambience was great and overall, it was a fun experience.

I love this place!! I eat here every chance I get. Such delicious execution of cocktails and food. Oysters are a little pricey but the steak and buratta never fail!

Man oh man is this place a hidden gem!!! Everything I tried was amazing. The service was great. The ambiance was epic. Felt like I was at a speakeasy. Perfect for date night as the food is great, cute booths for you and a date. I loved everything about this place. I wanna come again and again to go through everything in the menu. Please check this place out if you haven't already.

Black Market Liquor Bar has always been a favorite of mine for any type of occasion. Parking can be tricky but this place is worth it!We tried the butter lettuce, scallops and mushroom treoche. All these foods are great to share!Service was on point! and Ambiance? what a vibe!
