I was in the mood for Thai food for lunch so I wanted to try BKK101. I ordered the Spicy Basil Leaf Fried Rice with Chicken. First off the portion was small compared to other Thai restaurants I've tried. Also the dish was not Spicy at all which was a Big disappointment for me as I Love spicy food. To be honest I don't think I will be ordering from BKK101 again.

Great service and good food. I was coming down the 405 freeway heading north towards Westwood and I got a hankering for some Thai food so I hopped off at national took a quick right turn on Venice and pulled into this restaurant. I ordered to go but came behind a huge $300 order. They were nice enough to let me take the soup I ordered for my daughter and come back and get the rest. Just as they promised it was waiting for me and ready and boy was delicious when I got home. Their advertisement says they cook Thai food like your mom does. While my mom is obviously not Taiwanese if she did cook Thai food, I bet it would taste like this. Quick service, good food reasonably priced.

Came with a group of 7 ~6:30 PM on a Saturday, we were able to be seated immediately. Location: Located in a small strip mall, there was free parking. Ambiance: Very cozy interior with warm lighting. Great vibes for a group dinner.Food: Tom Yum soup was delicious and the large size yielded 7 small bowls. The amber curry was on the runny side, more like soup with chicken, potatoes, and carrots. Flavor was good, though I will say I ordered no spicy but it definitely still had a kick to it. The portion size was reasonable for the price. The tofu in the noodle dishes were a bit hit.Service: Great service, came to refill our waters and checked in on us a couple of times.

One of my favorite Thai places in West LA! Their curries have excellent flavor, and I *love* their tom yum soup. I've found very few places that offer small portions of the tom yum, so I really appreciate getting this as an app whenever I dine in or grab take-out! My only gripe here is consistency. On a few occasions, I've found the yellow curry (my go-to) to be quite watered down. That said, flavor is always good.Service is good, and the restaurant is cozy, but BKK101 is definitely best for take-out.

The vibe of this Thai restaurant is unique : authenticity with a twist of modernity. The food is delicious. Typically, it's what you would get if you were in Bangkok. The service was a 5/5. The waitress was very nice and welcoming. Parking is free. I will definitely be back.

I've wanted to retry this place for a long timeBut because I drive the opposite way home never went. Finally decided to Door Dash it and what a mistake. I ordered $60 worth of food and only 1/3 was edible. The Crying Tiger steak lived up to its name because I was frying that it was so bad. It taste chewy and unseasoned. I asked for not spicy but it should still have some seasoning. Next was the pineapple rice. The rice was super thick and sticky but the portion was large. Lastly I ordered the KaPow lunch. Again when you ask for not spicy, it's tasteless.

Everything here was so perfect and delicious! The restaurant itself also feels very cozy with nice little touches to emphasize that it's "Mom's Kitchen" and all of their ties to Thailand. All that plus free parking? Amazing. We got the Bangkok Roll, Pad See Ew with duck, and the Crispy Chicken Cashew Nut. Perfect amount of food for 2 people. We got the Pad See Ew medium spicy and it was ACTUALLY medium spicy. A pleasant warm heat, that won't make you go crazy. I would definitely go for the medium spice level again (even though my boyfriend might prefer the mild next time lol). Our waitress recommended rice for the Crispy Chicken dish but it was really fine without it. It seems like they have a nice local following. We sat down at around 8:30 on a Sunday night and just before we were wrapping up, a group of 9 people came in. Clearly some had been before and some hadn't, we heard them say to each other "Isn't it SO GOOD?" over and over. It was sweet to see the support! I would definitely come back, and I will for sure be ordering take out from here in the future too. Plus, it looks like they have a really great weekday lunch menu?! If I worked in the area, I'd be here all the time.

This is always my go to Thai restaurant as they never let me down. The combination chowmein is so darn good. The chicken curry fried rice was ok...tastes more coconutish to me. All in all the food was very tasty!
