Ok, yes, this place is CRAZY expensive, but some of the food here is so good and unique. It's definitely worth a visit.Must order: Crispy Shrimp and Fried Mixed Mushrooms with Rice Cracker Bites. The mushrooms were unlike anything I'd ever tried. They tasted like candy and were delightfully crunchy. Good, but not a must: Shredded Pork with Sweat Bean Sauce and Na's Secret Tofu (I thought this would be tofu, but it's actually soft egg)Skip: Vegetable fried rice (too plain), Pea Sprouts with Mushrooms (sprouts were too bitter but this is preference thing), Pan Fried Chives Pockets, and Chili Tofu Skin Salad (surprisingly, not spicy, but kind of bland).Everything is served on elaborate plates/stands. The inside of the place feels very of the dynasty era. Service was excellent.

We ordered most of the vegetarian dishes and found them to be overpriced for what they were. Sure, even having more than 2 veg dishes on the menu is a blessing at a Chinese restaurant, but still. I would say it was overhyped. Perhaps the meat dishes are it but my cousins told me the fish was the best thing out of the 5 meat dishes they ordered. Tip for Lunar New Year - duck must be pre-ordered. It was sold out when we sat down. Service was good - friendly and informative and patient. The ambience was nice. The seating was a mixture of banquette booths and traditional table seating. Parking options were the lot on ground floor and underground lot. After a certain hour, the underground lot is encouraged.

First of all, want to give a shout out to our server Xin, who was so attentive and patient with explaining dishes to us and helping us make decisions as well as troubleshooting some of the harder questions we had. Superb service! The restaurant is located in Temple City, very convenient, right near Meet Fresh, parking is relatively easy, but can be packed on the street level during peak hours. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, we were seated promptly with a reservation and I think it is a must to avoid wasting your time waiting unnecessarily. I hate waiting in line for anything. For the full menu of their food, just go to their official website and you can access a full illustrated PDF of their menu (I can't make a functional link to take you there, sorry!)We ordered the Chef's signature 4 delicacy platter, which was great, i love beef tongue, and tendon; didn't really need the donut twists but they didn't detract from the platter. Subsequently, we ordered the following dishes:Crispy Shrimp: delicious and you can eat the tail of the shrimp, nice a crispy on our dish. But overpriced. Na's Braised Kurobuta Pork: great flavor, very tender, almost melts in your mouth. Probably worth the price if you like pork. Stir-Fried eggplant with XO sauce: excellent, but I'm biased because I usually love eggplant dishes. Stir fried pea sprouts with mushrooms: definitely a solid dish, and I enjoyed it very much, but definitely overpriced at 24$. Braised Chinese Yam with Scallion: not good, do not get it unless you know you really like crunchy chinese yam. I prefer my yam soft and sweet like the purple and orange yams you can make at home. These Chinese Yams were not like what I thought. Na's secret tofu: decent, but not worth $22 unless you have a dying craving for fried tofu. Pear juice (Crystal Pear Drink, Hot): loved this, flavor was good, sweet but not overwhelming. Would recommend, but again, price being $18 for the pot, worth a one time experience at least. Beijing Beef Rice soup: this was fantastic, one of my favorite dishes, with meat and rice and bone broth. Although it was priced at $36 for a large bowl, which may be considered expensive, it reminded me of childhood and how my mom made me beef rice soup and the experience was well worth it in my opinion. But would i go back for it, probably not unless it is for a special occasion. Or I should probably just learn to make it myself. Ended the night with Mini Na's assorted eight, which was the dessert. Just enough for 4 people. If you really want your own, make sure you have enough stomach space. Even the mini was quite a bit for my party to finish. Although not giant pieces, a bite of two of each was sufficient, and you can share. Be prepared to take some home if you get the regular (or larger) size. Overall, great experience, would probably give 4.5 stars if possible. Could not get the duck since we were told that we had to reserve 1-2 weeks ahead of time by calling in, so if you want the duck be sure to call in ahead of your reservation by at least a week. 1. Parking: 4 stars, easy, convenient, but would be difficult during peak hours. 2. Check-in: 5 stars, easy, friendly front staff3. Server (Xin): 5 stars, detailed, attentive, friendly, spoke mandarin for my family, helpful4. Food: 4 stars, solid, delicious, would love to have more. but minus 1 star for being overpriced compared to other places. The caveat I want to mention is that perhaps they overcharge the food to pay for more attentive staff or maintain the ambiance. (FYI bathroom and restaurant was pretty clean as far as my experience goes). If you don't mind paying a bit more for cleanliness and comfortable seating with attentive staff, then the food price shouldn't be an issue. For 4 people worth of food, I spent $390 total including tax and tip. 5. Ambiance: 5 stars, not too loud, easy to flag down server, comfortable lighting, and plenty of room. Casual outfit. SUMMARY: would come back for special occasion, consider it if you don't mind slightly pricier food for the environment and attention.

Service is not on par for what you spend at Bistro Ba's. I made reservations for Lunar New Year for a private room at 7:30pm, but our room was not ready and had to wait additional 20min. I've also requested to provide a list of dishes to order prior to our arrival to avoid waiting as we had a party of 18 people. I was told the list will be sent to our server, however when we're seated, our server had no knowledge of it . I had to place the order again & had to wait for the food to be served. Throughout our dinner our sever did not refill our water & we had to request for it multiple times. For spending over $2100, you would expect better service. This is really unacceptable.Decor was really nice & food was good but was not worth the price for the portion you get. My favorite was the crispy shrimp & the cod. Crab was mediocre. I've been here multiple times and service has definitely gone down hill for what you pay. I probably won't be going back unless it's an invitation. There's plenty of restaurants in SGV with much better price & service.

$255 for 2... The good was tasty but not $255 tasty or worthy. When I asked around, I was told the prices have sky rocketed since covid.Walking into the restaurant feels like you got transferred back to the dynasty and the presentation of the food for some is similar. Crispy dish and duck is a must order dish if you're here. But the crispy dish isn't so much better than the ones at Lotis of Siam in Las Vegas. The duck is good, but, again, not so good that it's $10.00 more than other places. The service could be at better though. Our empty dishes were left on the table empty info we finished our meal. If you are a Michelin guided restaurant or once a Michele star restaurant, you should know how to takes dishes away faster. The spicy fish with noodle is another dish to try. It's very spicy and the noodles are freshly made. However, it's not overly wowed or impressive that would make me crave for it and want to come back for it. Overall, good to try once but will probably not return.

Been wanting to try upscale Chinese for a while so when a friend suggested this place for a late Lunar New Years meal i was more than happy to go! We made a reservation for 1:30 and after checking in, we still had to wait an extra 30-45 min before we got seated. Service was hit or miss as some of the waiters ignored us when they realized we didn't speak Chinese so docking a star for that. However the food here is absolutely amazing. Especially that beef!! It was so good we were all speechless and unanimously agreed it was the best thing there. Also loved the fish shaped milk pudding for dessert! It wasn't too sweet or too milky. Would consider taking family here for an upscale dinner and def will come back for the beef

Bistro Na's is an elegant dining hall with carved wooden panels. Go there to celebrate a milestone. There are Chinese string instruments on the walls, the same ones that are playing on the speakers. Go there with a group to sample their imperial dishes, such as Peking duck and crispy shrimp. Beijing Zhajiang Noodles: This is a great dish if you're here for lunch on your own. For a plate of noodles, the presentation is extravagant. They mix the ingredients in front of you table-side and squeeze a small tube of flavor. This is one of the best expressions of Zhajiang mian in the SGV. There are some bits of pork belly, but not as much meat add you would normally expect. The fresh seasonal vegetables as a whole new dimension to this simple dish. There are slices of cherry radishes, edamame, seaweed, celery, cucumber, beet leaves, and napa cabbage. The flavors and textures are very interesting together. There's also some sweet cherry peppers and green pickled garlic for huge bursts of flavor. The chewy wheat noodles are coated with a fermented black bean sauce with a sweet and savory finish.Dining Area: Make a reservation or get on the Yelp waitlist. There are a few dozen wood and stone tables in a classy setting.Parking: The large strip mall has ample underground and above ground parking.

I drove an hour to meet my sister as the reviews were very good. And it was not a disappointment! I did feel there could have been a little more flavor on some of the dishes but overall, I should have been with a big group to try more. The crispy shrimp absolutely did not disappoint. Had them for leftovers the next day and oh yeah delicious. The tuna cup was super interesting as it did not taste like tuna but as sweet cantaloupe. Surprising and sweet. When I come back I am trying more of the fish abs meat dishes. Because they look super flavorful and fun.

The dishes are delicious and of good quality, deserving praise. However, the prices of seasonal ingredients are unreasonably high, and the portions are insufficient, which is quite disappointing.Food: 5/5, Price: 2/5, Service: 3/5The reason I gave 3/5 for service is that, although the waitress and waiter were nice and changed the dish to the big fish we originally ordered without argument, I felt they did it on purpose. We didn't pay much attention to the lobster while eating it, but when the fish arrived, we all realized that the lobster had also been smaller than what we had ordered.
