Made a reservation for 12 people and they had our table ready when we arrived on Saturday. In terms of food, honestly feel like it was worth it. It was $26 per person for weekend plus $2pp for tea + 18% tip for large parties. First time having AYCE dimsum and won't be my last. The quality here was surprisingly pretty good for an AYCE restaurant. Some things that I enjoyed were the siu mai, crab eggrolls, ha gao, and bbq bun. The buffet comes with 2 rounds but we ordered 62 dishes for 12 people on our first round we didn't make it to round 2. Extra dishes was like $4 extra per dish if you don't finish so make sure not to overorder. Would be back here and definitely ask for a reservation if you have a large party. There were small line when we left at 12:30 but it didn't look too bad.Parking - They have a parking structure to the right side of the restaurant and I didn't have any issues finding a spot.

For the prices of dim sum lately, you would be better off going to an Ayce dim sum place. Bistro 1968 is your place. We came on a Sunday morning and there was no wait. There is also a parking structure to make parking easy for you. We arrived and were handed a sheet. You can order off the Ayce menu or you can opted to order per dish. We decided to go with the Ayce menu. The menu had a great list of all of our favorite. The dishes came out quick and hot. All dishes were decent. Some dishes were much better than others. My favorite were the crispy shrimp rolls, baked bbq pork bun, turnip cake and pumpkin sesame balls. They also offer fried rice, vegetables, meats, and desserts. Overall, if you're cravings for dim sum, try this place out. They offer dim sum in the morning and at night.

We've gone to Bistro 1968 now 2 times in the last month with big groups and we loved both times. We had a party of 20 the first time with a reunion of sorts with former co-workers. We're glad they were able to put us in a private room. The staff of Bistro 1968 were great both visits and we appreciated their help & customer service for our groups. I like their siu mai, great flavor and they are good sized. The house special crispy shrimp roll is delicious. The tempura-like exterior was light & crispy. The shrimp filling was tasty. We also love the baked snow caped bbq pork bun. The slight crunch on the exterior bun with char siu in the middle was perfect. I also really liked the pan fried turnip cake. Slight char on the outiside with minced pork pieces. So good. We also really like the chicken wings with spicy salt, leeks & shrimp dumpling, chines broccoli with oyster sauce, wonton with chili oil, beef chow fun, shrimp hargow, yangzhow fried rice, spare ribs in black bean sauce & crab meat egg roll. All the food came out fast, came out hot and tasted great. The fact that it's AYCE is great. I never knew the concept even existed. Ha! $25.88 on Saturdays & Sundays. Tea service is $2-$3 per person. I totally recommend Bistro 1968, the food, the service was really good. The managers & waiters were excellent both times for our big groups.Reservations given for parties of 8 or more people. Street parking mostly. Limited garage parking.

An all you can eat dim sum.. say less! Private parking lot limited space during weekend, we ended up parking across the street which wasn't a big deal to us. Weekend price is currently $25.99/person plus $2/person for tea which comes out to $27.99 unless you opt for no tea. I don't know anyone that doesn't get tea with their dim sum. Surprisingly pretty good despite just a few items that weren't good. I would come back. We were seated right away on a Saturday around noon for a party of 3.Thousand Year Old Eggs Pork Congee -stray away. Texture was off and tasted like tap water. No flavor. Pork was chewy.Jumbo Sticky Rice Wrap (Lo Mai Gai) -not much lotus leaf flavor. There's parchment paper between rice/filling and leaf. It wasn't great at first but we were scooping it as is. If you mix it it's much better. Bottom has most of the filling and flavor, top is just sticky plain rice.Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai -ugly, but really good. They don't top their sui mai with any garnishes so it looks bland/no color. Pork was tender and juicy. Shrimp had a nice fresh snap. Shrimp Har Gow -skin was chewy and moist. Shrimp was fresh. Shrimp Rice Roll (Ha Cheng Fun)- noodle was silky with a bounce. Shrimp had a fresh snap.Hong Kong Egg Custard (Dan Tat)- pastry shell was so flaky and buttery. Egg custard was creamy and not too dense.Beef Chow Fun Soy Sauce Style -pretty good, beef is tender. You can the taste wok heat. Noodles weren't broken/ small bits.Wonton w/ Chili Oil Sauce - chili oil was fragrant and flavorful. Wontons were juicy. Didn't expect it to be a hit for us.

This place deserves a 5-star rating for giving Los Angeles County a high quality, authentic AYCE Dim Sum restaurant. I have driven out here over a handful of times just to satisfy the Dim Sum lover in me. These guys have kept a wide-ranging ayce menu of not only the classic dishes but also other creative and eclectic dishes like fried crab sticks, fried chicken wings, beef chow fun, sesame balls, stir fried mushrooms and other goodies. The dim sum quality on my latest trip in February 2025 with my kids was the best I've had here. It's always busy on Saturday afternoons and that keeps the food fresh out of the kitchen. Even the service is fast and kind. Of course I order the har gao and siu mai, but porridge and sticky rice for my youngest, fried rice I love, chicken feet for my teenager. There's something for everyone. Their fried wings shocked me. Some of the best I've had. I want to try their salt and pepper pork ribs but I can't finish everything! All I want is for this restaurant to be here doing ayce dim sum for at least 10 years.

Came here for AYCE dim sum and it didn't disappoint! The dim sum was high quality and portion sizes were generous. They had a variety of extra items like desserts and sides on the AYCE menu. There is an attached covered garage which is convenient, and the restaurant itself can host large parties.

First time eating AYCE dim sum and it was pretty solid especially for just $26 a person. We came for dinner and it was super empty. You get a paper to mark your order on and it gives you 2 rounds of ordering on it. They bring all the plates to you individually, they are pretty fast in service too. We were able to try a lot bc we had 6 people and most everything was really delicious. Some larger portions and dim sum than expected too- we all thought the shu mai was particularly large (in a good way)! Some standouts for me were the egg tarts (still warm), the iberian bbq pork, and shu mai!

Love that they have their own parking garage for customers, it makes it really convenient. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait at 12:30PM on a Saturday. We were seated right away and we were able to put in our order within 5 minutes. Food was delicious, 99% of the orders came out in a timely manner. Only 2 orders out of 18 came in after 20 minutes. The spareribs were super tender, shumai very filling, house special crispy shrimp roll was our absolute favorite. The 50 minute drive was definitely worth it!

This review is long overdue for their all-you-can-eat dim sum experience from the summer.First of all, the line was long--about a two-hour wait. My friend and I arrived at noon but didn't get to eat until around 2 PM. By then, we were both starving!Inside the restaurant, there weren't many tables, and most of them were large. Usually, a dim sum restaurant has a lot of smaller tables, but this one felt more like a sit-down, family-style restaurant. The ordering system allowed you to place two orders per person in your party, so we could only order four items at a time. Unfortunately, some of the dim sum options had run out by the time we were seated, which was a bit disappointing. Most of the dim sum dishes were good, but I found the rice rolls for the shrimp rice rolls too thick. They weren't as smooth and soft as I'd hoped, though the flavor was fine. The service was decent, and parking wasn't much of an issue since they had a parking lot and street parking available. The bill came to around $23 per person, including a $2 charge for tea. Considering the long wait and the limited dim sum selection, my friend and I agreed it's probably better to stick with regular à la carte dim sum--unless you have a really big appetite.

I've given this place a try 5 times as I really want to support a local business in this newish dim sum spot that opened in San Gabriel nearby. However, I can't say that I am impressed. Unfortunately, the food is on the bland side, and the one time I tried it for dinner, it was not very fresh. The Baked BBQ Pork Bun has great texture, and the top is crispy, but the filling is once again on the bland side, which taints a potentially 5-star bun. The Siu Mai is classic, and decent though. Other items I tried: the Gai Lan greens were great; the shrimp rice roll was bland; the Sticky Rice wrapped in Lotus Leaves was also bland and only had a small piece of Chinese sausage inside; the Steamed BBQ Pork bun was once again fluffy and nice texture but lacking in flavor. Not sure if I will try it again, but if I do, I certainly hope the flavors will have improved!
