8 Nights with Guest Chefs a Hit once again! This is the third year we have gone to the 8 Nights Celebrations and so far this year is the best ever! We loved the set menu with dishes alternating between the two different guest chefs. We loved all of the dishes and some were amongst the best we ever have had at Birdie G's (where we have dined many times!).The ambiance was festive and the opportunity to spend some time with each of the guest chefs made the experience truly special! The servers were on it!We will be going back on Thursday for two different guest chefs and we are even more excited now than we were already!I am excited that they keep innovating and keep serving up such great food!Such a fantastic restaurant (with great cocktails too!)!

A Fantastic Meal... Until Dessert Ruined ItEverything was great--the cocktails were phenomenal, the snacks were amazing. We had the Buffalo eggs, cucumbers, and fries, and every bite was better than the last. The drinks? Perfection. We were having a fantastic time... until we made the mistake of ordering dessert. The so-called Rose Petal Pie is not a pie. It's a 1970s jello mold trying to pass as a "modern" dessert, and for $15, it's basically a very expensive bite of air. No real substance--just a wobbly, forgettable, overpriced letdown. It looks pretty, sure, but I didn't come here for an art installation. I wanted a pie.So, by all means, come for the drinks and snacks. They're absolutely worth it. But do yourself a favor and skip the pie.

After reading the Yelp reviews we wanted to try this unique restaurant. I loved all the Jewish clever menu named items and cocktails. They say the concept of the restaurant is sharing. Based off the individual plate pricing we were relieved. Overall, food was good ...but expensive for the portions and simple items. Sharing a garden salad $16 with only lettuce and buttermilk dressing, the delicious brisket plate @ $49 (it was so thinly sliced (maybe, quarter pound?) piled with french fries, two cornbread fingers (same size) $10, 2x drinks, ending with the rose petal dessert (it was ok) the bill with tip was $200. Concept and food was good however the pricing was over the top. Unfortunately, we left hungry.

Birdie G's is a consistent hit - well-crafted cocktails, delicious food, and nice casual Santa Monica ambience. Regular favorites include the relish tray, cornbread with green chile butter, and the trumpet mushrooms, but most of the dishes I've tried here have been delicious. There is valet in front of the restaurant, or free parking in the lot at the end of the road. The noise levels can be a bit high inside, but otherwise, great spot for a date or small group dinner.

Really nice flavor - honestly this steak was crazy good. I compare it to and rank it above high quality steak houses in Beverly Hills. We really enjoyed our evening. The cocktails were very tasty too. The service was helpful too. Relatively quiet dining hall.

Tried Birdie G's for the first time and had such a lovely experience! I cannot wait to come back and am sad it took me this long to try!Modern Jewish cuisine - and I love that they incorporate seasonal produce and influence. The creamed corn kugel was so smart and delicious. I loved the peaches and the open face tomato sandwich was INCREDIBLE. I wasn't wowed by the brisket though, but everything else was fantastic including the rose petal pie and cocktails. It's so creative and the service is unbelievably attentive and helpful and hospitable. It's a really nice ambiance tucked away amongst art galleries and a nearby comedy venue. Truly can't wait to come by again and try more of their amazing food!!!

Such a cute hidden gem. Their service is amazing and their food is really unique. The king mushrooms were my absolute favorite! Though, I wouldn't recommend the Tri-Tip. The skirt steak was much better and more flavorful. They have a great cocktail list as well. Would definitely come back to this place soon!

Oh heck freaking yes try this spot out!! DELICIOUS food, fantastic drinks, and such a cute spot inside and out that it makes for a lovely lunch or dinner. We had the oysters, lamb, and Caesar and each dish was decimated between the two of us. Zero leftovers needed. All flavors were well balanced, apparent, and fit the dish and the meat was fresh and well cooked. Odd location but try it out and leave very happy.

After the last experience they weee nice enough to invite me back in. Great ambience and great service this time- however rockfish was not cooked, and had to be sent backs They did take it off the check without me asking. It was super super fishy too, and needed all the salt and sauce or else it was not good. They weirdly put down all the serving things before the dishes came like with the appetizers? Very odd. The artichoke was great. Not coming back anytime soon really wanted to leave something more positive- great service tho.
