Big Daddy's Kick’n Chicken

Big Daddy does grilled bbq chicken and soul food sides like no other. The bird is grilled to crispy and juicy perfection and comes with a tomato-less bbq sauce. The second best mac and cheese in LA. First place is still Tev's IMO. BD is way more affordable though and arguably just as good. Great quality ingredients are going on here. I can not say the same for Dulan's and let's not even mention M&M, oh whoops! All the sides I've tried so far have been excellent. None of the sides have meat. The cornbread is divine and fluffy. This place is like Chik Fil A or In N Out where they do one thing and do it to greatness. The meal is a decent value these days. Love that you can order over the phone.

I discovered this spot on Instagram and decided to give it a try today. I'm not usually a big fan of chicken since it can be dry and tough if overcooked, but this place completely changed my mind!Chicken: So delicious and moist! Every bite was fantastic.Cornbread: Moist, soft, buttery! The best I ever had! Definitely done right!Mac n Cheese: Made with real cheese and full of flavor--absolutely yummy.Yams: Just the right amount of sweetness. I enjoyed every single bite.Greens: Perfectly seasoned, not too salty, and not swimming in juice. They were just right!Beans & Rice: Great seasoning with a good balance of beans to rice--not too much rice and just enough beans.Customer Service: Excellent! My phone order was accurate, and the young man at pickup was incredibly polite.Parking: Metered street parking. .25 cents for 15 minutes. Quarters only.Facility: This is a pick-up-only spot with no seating to eat inside or outside. However, there are seats available to wait for your food.I'll definitely be coming back--again and again!

The service was top notch. It's just a cute little pickup to-go counter. But the food was worth writing home about! The chicken was absolutely juicy with an original, unique flavor I've never tasted before. I loved it! I wish I got a picture but I tasted it and couldn't stop eating. I will be back and with loved ones.

I stopped by on Friday midday and picked up some food to take home. The location is located in a side street but there is plenty of metered parking. The wait was about 20 minutes but it was moving fast considering how many people ordered ahead of me. So the chicken was good, their sauce was tangy and I liked that as well. Their yams are so so good, they have the perfect level of sweet. The Mac and cheese was also good very cheesy. The red beans and rice have a bit of spice but I liked it very much. The cornbread has a nice honey taste and it's very moist. I would stop by again if I was in the area.

Take out spot only. No seats. Very quick and friendly service. The chicken is SOOOO GOOOD and juicy, and they give you this tangy and sweet sauce with it. The corn bread is a DELIGHT! Super simple menu, which makes things so easy to pick. Sunday night, there was a line out the door. Street parking is easy. It's 15min walking distance to Sofi and Forum. Good little treat before a big show. We ate it in the car before Billie Eilish, and it fueled us for the night!

My husband and I visited this restaurant a few days ago. We ordered the half chicken special and a side of macaroni and cheese. We saw this place advertised on instagram and wanted to support this small business, which I regret. The macaroni and cheese were not good especially for the $5 charge. The yams had way too much cinnamon and bland. The greens were good, the cornbread was terrible there was some sort of cheese in it which was bad all together and the chicken was ok but I've definitely had better. The IG review was incorrect and misleading!

I'm surprised they're not called Brother's BBQ because it was so good it made me wanna slap my mama!! That chicken was amazing, all the sides are fire. Great customer service also, the guy at the register was extremely friendly.

Tried this place on a Wednesday and came right back on Thursday! The food is bussin, this instantly my new favorite spot. The prices are right and Aaron is super friendly. Get the Chicken dinner with mac n cheese and yams. Thank me later

The chicken was cool with the sauce and peppers. However, the sides are out of a can with no love shown to them. Throw some garlic or Lawry's in those collards and green beans. Doctor them up. Ended up only eating the chicken.
