I think this place is charming. It is more hole in the wall but you get your food fast and it is consistent. The food comes out delicious and piping hot. And there are a lot of authentic Chinese dishes done well. I love the roasted duck, stir fried bittermelon w/black bean, pea shoots, eggplant, combo fried rice and century egg congee. The man who runs it gets straight to the point on the phone and I'm pretty sure he has never said goodbye before hanging up but when I come in to pick up, he is nice and complimentary. A little rough around the edges but has heart underneath it all. Some days he even smiles, I think he has been in survival mode for far too long... I hope he finds his joy. He is so focused on making sure he gives people quick and convenient service, I think he overworks himself to ensure every order is done on time.

Unfortunately, the time has come for an update. Maybe it's a sign of the times, but shrinkflation, or just general malaise has finally hit BBQ unlimited. I usually go every week or so for the Salted Fish Fried Rice. I realized that I became more and more dissatisfied with the amount of salted fish in the dish more often every time, which resulted in me complaining to the restaurant 9 out of 10 orders. It's time to look for a new place I think.

Co-workers frequently order from here for descent Chinese food near work and this place is definitely a hole in the wall that's been around forever. We've had: roasted duck, roasted chicken, roasted pork, garlic eggplant, galic salt pork chops, yang chow fried rice, fried sole fish, walnut shrimp, wonton soup, and siu mai. Faves are usually the eggplant, fried rice, and pork chop which is always tender and juicy.First time I called here for pickup on a Saturday morning and after ordering over the phone, he said 15 minutes and abruptly hung up before I can even ask for the total. Also had to call twice before someone picked up. So expect subpar service when you walk into a run down outdated place.Parking lot in the front and back shared with Sanamluang and Bangluck Market.

Only for the Roast Duck:BBQ Unlimited is a Cantonese style Chinese takeout in an unassuming strip mall along with Bangluck Thai Market & Sanamluang Thai restaurant. A tall glass case filled w/ hanging roast ducks & chickens greets you as you enter. Like many old school Chinese eateries, don't expect kind service w/ a smile. It's very perfunctory, and there is an air that almost feels as though they are doing you a favour selling you their food. Years ago I asked my frat brothers who are Chinese Americans if this were par for the course, and they both agreed that that is the way business is done in the old country. C'est la vie. I do like their roast duck which seems salt brined then marinated in sweet earthy, fermented Hoisin sauce, vinegar w/ a bit of aromatic 5 spice usually consisting of star anise, cinnamon, cloves, fennel, Sichuan pepper. Dried first & slow roasted in the oven so the dry, fat rendered skin pries away easily from the moist, fatty, succulent dark meat. The skin that stands in the marinade while roasting is more fat infused & rubbery. Rather competently executed in a Cantonese cooking style. If you're not into greasy richness, then this style may not pass inspection. Perhaps a Canard à l'Orange in the French version w/ a less fatty duck may be more approachable. I would give the duck a solid 3+ stars. Now if only BBQ Unlimited could up their game for better customer service, the overall rating for the 4th star could be within reach, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Roasted duck on rice plate is my go-to. Flavorful, generous servings and priced right. Nice selection of dim sum, I enjoy the pork bun and the shiu mai as well.

The good is ok but the staff is so rude and act they do not want your business: when you call to place an order, they say they run out of that item and/ or they hang up on you!I used to go and eat there but the pandemic they do bot do dine in....Worse customer service ever!

Been coming here for years now, food is always good and fast. Some of the faves are the pork chops with spicy salt, chicken fried rice and the fried sole and the house special chow fun.Always our usual orders .Only thing constant too is the guy who take orders never ever seen him smile at all, even through all these years,no smile or thank you. He looked sad all the time! but the food is good so we just keep coming back.Another thing ,the place is still a lot dated and run down, never changed at all.Same old pictures on the wall, same old counter for about what ...over 25 years we've been coming here ! Needs major updating but overall we come for the food and that's about it.
