BBQ+RICE - West LA

So have you ever had the experience of randomly choosing a place and then being pleasantly surprised with how good it turns out to be? I was starving after a long day of work and hesitantly chose this place. I definitely had a few doubts as I was waiting. But then the food came out and I was really blown away with how flavorful it was. I got the Bulgogi bowl and the sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. Both were awesome and I would definitely order both again. I wish they had a larger size of the sweet and spicy chicken because that was super tasty.Although it looks unassuming hole in the wall in the middle of a shopping center near West Hollywood, the product is definitely higher quality than the surroundings.The ratings of this restaurant are not a fluke. The food is good. Five stars.

Stumbled across this BBQ spot and we're thoroughly impressed! If you're looking for Korean bbq (meat + flavors) but don't want the food coma, the traffic, and the $$$$, look no more. We got the spicy chicken and the bulgogi bowl and both were amazing. They made our bowls to order and were generous with their portions! I'm so glad the west side has (my now go to) Korean spot.

Sometimes you just get lucky and find a gem in a hole in the wall. That's what I found here. By the look from outside, I did not expect much. The place is new, clean, bright and light. We placed an order for pick up, went in and were greeted with a Big smiling face. That meant a lot. Food was ready for pick up, and I'd say surprisingly pretty. Not only pretty, but very tasty. Chicken was moist and well cooked. The dish was well seasoned and balanced. I did not feel like adding any kind of sauce or spices to it as it was not needed. I'd say price as it is today was very reasonable. It's something I would have as main dish, or do a few things for a small gathering and snack on it. I do hope they offer some sort of Salad dish, in addition to the current bowl they now have listed. But we will certainly be back.

The dish is topped with an array of fresh garnishes: crunchy pickled veggies that add just the right amount of tang, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds that elevate the whole thing. The portion size is generous, and I walked away feeling full but not overly stuffed.The atmosphere inside BQQ + Rice is casual and welcoming. It's the kind of place you can swing by for a quick bite.

Awesome restaurant! Came across this gem of a restaurant after craving a really good lunch. Parking is easy since it's located in a small shopping mall.The staff was super nice since I had questions on the menu items which they were happy to answer. I ended up ordering the pepper chicken which I was told is the second most popular dish after the bulgogi. My food came out super fast and tasted delicious and fresh. I was super happy and definitely plan to come back!There's ample tables to sit at and can hold a number of people!

If you want a delicious and flavorful rice bowl, we tried the Black Pepper Chicken bowl ($11) and it was very flavorful. We also tried the Bulgogi Beef bowl ($12) and thought it was delicious. The portion is also good for the price and comes with a few pickled cucumbers. They also prepare it fresh after you order it, so understand that there is a wait for your food... but it is fresh and hot because of that. You can also buy a side of kimchi or more pickled cucumbers for an additional $3. In addition, you can double the protein for $6 if you are extra hungry. Worth trying!

BBQ + Rice opened just this week! Friendly and efficient service and my lunch was delicious!! Bulgogi (Beef) $12 plus a side of house madeKimchee $3.00. Tasty! Their catchy sign attracted me enough to do a U-Turn mid-day (a Friday!) at the intersection of Santa Monica and Sepulveda Blvd! I'll be back.

I have found a new fav lunch spot!!! This place is so worth it. The food is really good and big portions. The kimchee is so good I bought some to go. I love the spicy chicken bowl it comes with rice, lettuce, spicy mayo chicken and cucumbers. It's really spicy but it's so yummy. I am definitely going to try a different bowl next time. The gentleman in the front was very nice and helpful. He gave me some tips on the spice and how you can ask for less spicy if it's too hot. The location is small but the bowls make them easy to take it to go.

The Bulgogi Bowl was delicious! The tender, flavorful beef paired perfectly. Every bite was balanced and satisfying. Great lunch spot!
