I had a great meal here celebrating a friend's birthday! The food, service, and setting were all top notch. Barrique is an authentic and inventive Italian restaurant in a beautiful yellow house. We sat upstairs in a dimly lit and open room. Though it was fairly packed with tables, it still felt intimate. We shared the octopus appetizer, orecchiette with sausage, and each got our own main course. This was a great way to sample the menu. We also split the tiramisu for dessert, which is not to be missed.Barrique also has an excellent wine list, with plenty of options by the glass. For a night out with friends and family, or a romantic date night, head to Barrique!

Barrique is such a unique experience starting from their house like restaurant in Venice. Barrique is an Italian restaurant with a lot of unique dishes and a fine selection of red and white wines. The place is very vibey and dark and sets a really good mood for couples. Ordered dishes ranging from pasta, bread, wines, dessert, and appetizers and they were all delicious! Service was really good and quick and definitely will consider coming back. Reservations are recommended through Resy and valet is available

I chose Barrique for an important celebration (a post engagement dinner) purely based on photos I saw online, and it was even better than I had hoped! The vibes are perfect -- a super intimate space, staff speaking Italian, a candlelit dinner in an old house. And the food... incredible. We started with the pan-seared scallops (my fiancée's favorite) and it did not disappoint. The parmesan fondue was so good and unique, and the truffle was a nice touch without being overpowering. For our main course we shared the duck breast and pappardelle with rabbit ragu, both of which were fantastic. We also got the bread basket (also great) and shared a bottle of champagne. We were stuffed but it was a good amount of food for two people to share. For dessert, we shared the tronchetto, a hazelnut cookie crisp with white and dark chocolate mousse, which was phenomenal. I had called ahead and asked if they could do something to mark the special occasion, and they brought the dessert as a surprise, with a candle. A very nice touch! If you need a *nice* restaurant (it's pricey but worth it!) to celebrate something special, this is absolutely a must-try. My only complaint would be that we waited around 20 minutes for our waiter to return at the end so we could ask for the check. But overall, I am still raving about this meal two months later!

Service was great, from entrance to exit. Staff were friendly and helpful and obviously happy to be there. I had the Ahi Tuna tartar, Grilled Octopus, Branzino alla Griglia, each was perfectly prepared and delicious.

A Perfect Place for Milestone CelebrationsAfter all these years, this remains one of my absolute favorite Italian spots in Los Angeles. Intimate, warm, and known for its signature dishes, it was the perfect choice for celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary last night. My only regret? That I don't come here more often. The Food:I started with their carpaccio special, which might be the most memorable carpaccio I've ever had. Topped with a delicate fondue, each bite was a deliberate indulgence--I even cut smaller pieces just to savor it longer. It was a dish that felt like it "kissed you back," one you never want to end.For pasta, I couldn't pass up their signature red beet tagliolini with quail ragu--a dish I'll never stray from here. Like my 30-year marriage, why change something that's always been so good to you?My wife tried the cacao tagliatelle with wild boar ragu for the first time. The flavor was rich and hearty, and it's easy to see why it's one of their most popular dishes. While I remain loyal to my quail pasta, if I were ever to try something new, this would be the one.Dessert:We finished with the panna cotta and their famous tronchetto. The panna cotta is delightfully light--perfect if you want a gentle ending to your meal. But for hazelnut aficionados, the tronchetto is a must. Rich and indulgent, it's the perfect finale. In a city full of dining options, this place still stands out as one of my favorites, not just in LA but across the country. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an intimate, unforgettable experience.

Food: 4/5Get: scallop starter. Creamy sauce. Perfectly seared yet tender scallops. Truffle. What's not to love? Veal special: the lamb was cooked a perfect medium rare with a nice crust and juicy veins of marbling Skip: the bread basket was a bit burnt and the olive oil wasn't especially flavorful Service: 5/5 attentive, kind and knowledgeable Ambiance: 5/5 Basically all candlelit. Music was the perfect loudness. Exceptionally cozy and warm ambian

The restaurant looks like a house--there are seats inside (we didn't get to go inside), on the patio, and in the "backyard" on the ground floor. I was recommended to try to wild boar ragu from my friends, and my friend was recommended to try the quail ragu, so we got both. Both the pasta were rich in flavor, and the wild boar ragu tasted a little like meatballs. I found the quail to be more tender (thinner spaghetti) and sweeter, so I liked my friend's pasta better than mine (which was slightly unfortunate for me). The branzino was seared well with juicy and tender inside. The portions weren't too small either, which was a plus. I'll be back for more of the quail ragu!Street parking exists but will be tough to find a spot. Valet is $14 cash, $16 card.

We had dinner at Barrique last night and it was one of the best meals I've had in a LONG time. The food was incredible and the wine was so delicious. Our group of 4 started off with the carpaccio - it was the best I've ever had. So light but so flavorful and the truffle on top made it incredible. I would go back just for that!!My husband and I split the short rib and prosciutto vodka pasta specials. They were both SO GOOD. I loved everything about the meal!!We sat outside on the terrace which was very nice. The inside looked so cute but I was told it's pretty crowded and that the tables almost touch one another. I definitely want to try eating inside at some point, but outside was lovely!

SO good. I of course recommend the beet tagliatelle. The hazelnut crunch bar and panna cotta was amazing as well. Everything was honestly. My friend and I came for the Dine LA experience and paying $65 total for three courses this was definitely worth it. Service was a tad slow at the beginning, our waiter didn't come to our table the first 15 min after we sat down but he eventually ended up being great. I wanted to change one of my courses after we ordered and he was very accommodating, even making recommendation to try the red beet tagliatelle. A lot of dine la courses are quite small but this one was not and I ended up having some to take home for lunch tomorrow! The ambiance is noticeably beautiful and unique, providing candle-lit dinners inside of a modernized rustic interior. They also have outdoor seating. I would definitely return again to try their regular menu!
