Barbrix is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant tucked quietly off Hyperion Ave, in Los Feliz. As soon as you walk in you are transported to a small town in Oregon or maybe even a sleepy town on the coast...(a warm & cozy vibe)Snuggle up on a bar stool and sip a lovely glass of wine while you meet your fellow Barbrix patrons! Holly was our server and it was a pleasure getting to know her. She made an excellent choice for me: The Chardonnay from Italy. Holly will offer a sample before you can holler, "fill it up!" *Barbrix has started a trend with their weekly meal deals. Every night is a "featured dish," at a lower price. *Monday's are $5 Pizza night (which is my next venture here!) *Tuesday nights are Burger night ~ $10 for a burger w/fries. And so on....We were here on Tuesday/Burger night which went perfectly with my happy hour glass of Chardonnay! $8 The regular menu is also available as well as the "Happy Hour Bar" menu. Dinner is served inside the restaurant area but we preferred the bar which wraps around the entire bar in a square shape. *Parking lot is very small so if you get here after 6pm I suggest finding street parking *Go on their website to find the "Daily Specials"*Only Wine, Sparkling Wine & Beer. *No mixed drinks

While visiting LA, a group of us visited Barbrix for dinner. This is a very cute restaurant/wine bar that you can either just choose to have a few glasses of wine from around the world with your friends, or enjoy a nice dinner. Since we were a group of 4, we decided to start with a bottle of wine. It was kind of fun to pick the bottle because instead of the menu, since their wine inventory changes frequently, they have you pick at the wine bar. They had a great selection, but my only issue is that they were at room temperature, which isn't ideal for wine. Regardless, the Napa cabernet and the French pinot we ended up selecting were both lovely. For appetizers, we had the marinated olives (a classic), the garlic bread and the charcuterie (manchego and goat cheese, and salami). The garlic bread is a must order. It was warm, buttery, and garlicky, which is just what you want. The cheeses were wonderful, as was the meat. For pastas, we ordered the cacio y pepe, rigatoni bolognese, and corn agnolotti. We also ordered the New York steak with chimichurri. The best pasta was the rigatoni. The bolognese was super flavorful and really did taste like it had simmered for 6 hours. The cacio y pepe was good, but it could have used more pepper. Also, I am not a fan when they put heavy cream as it's not the authentic version. The agnolotti was good but not necessarily memorable. Unfortunately, as a Midwesterner, the steak was probably the most disappointing. It was a bit more cooked than medium rare, it was not really seasoned and super chewy, which makes me wonder if it was cut with the grain vs against.Overall, this place was a super cute place and I'd recommend it for the wines, apps, and the pastas. Great place for a date night for sure!

I've lived in Silver Lake since 2008 and always wanted a favorite "go to" restaurant. I've realized this is my place. It helps that they have amazing specials during the week. I love their pizzas, burgers with perfect fries, several of the pastas...rigatoni and pappardelle and fusilli.. Honestly I don't remember having anything I didn't like. It's the first place I recommend when people are staying in Silver Lake. They have great wine for as little as $30 a bottle and friendly staff with great lighting. I hope they stick around for a long time.

Best kept secret in the neighborhood. You can't beat their daily specials! Holly is the friendliest at the bar. It's a cozy neighborhood spot with delicious food. For pizza, we love the mushroom and diavolo. Small lot for parking, additional parking across the street at baller hardware.

Went for dinner the other day after many years of avoiding it (not a fan of precious, bougie places), and was really pleasantly surprised. Nice, simple, elegant candlelit atmosphere- perfect for a date night. The menu is Italian-adjacent, with a nice assortment for most eating habits. I had a delicious scallop risotto, and my friend and I split a salad and a fried squash blossom appetizer stuffed with ricotta, and a deep chocolate ganache. Most entrees are mid-$20s-$30s, and they offer one very reasonable special of the day. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Considering how expensive even casual restaurants are nowadays, I found it well worth it, and will go back.

Solid Italian spot that is good for a big group. We tried the cacio e pepe pasta, branzino, a margarita pizza, the butternut squash agnolotti pasta, and several starters. Everything was good, though nothing was especially memorable. The desserts weren't my favorite, but others in the group enjoyed them. The orange wine we tried was excellent. Overall impression was that it's a good spot with good service to check out if you're already planning to be in the area.

Our favorite restaurant in L.A.!!! The food is exceptional and very reasonable. Especially worth checking out their nightly specials. The best in town. Our favorite is Monday pizza night, Tuesday burger night and Wednesday pasta night. Wine is outstanding and very affordable. Most bottles are under $50 plus a $10 corkage (but tastes like most other restaurants $200 and up bottles.) The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. It's warm and cozy inside with a beautiful outdoor patio area covered with foliage. Very inviting. I would also recommend their sister restaurant open for lunch and dinner. It's called All'Aqua and it's located close by in Atwater Village. The lunch specials are incredible!!! Also beautifully decorated with lovely staff.

Came here as recommended by a friend. Loved the ambiance low key, not fussy, great wine selection. They let you pick a bottle from the shop shelves for $10 corkage fee. Great selection and not your typical wineries for $20-40 average range and pairs very well with the food. The patio is super cute and fairy light lit at night. Food was delicious balsamic on the duck confit *chefs kiss*. Under carriage on the pizza was perfectly cooked too. Octopus really well charred taste. Service was great, changed cutlery cleaned table between courses not sure what the deal is in the reviews here. Everyone who attended to us was welcoming, homey and timely. Could tell that there were regulars around the bar. Loving this local spot!
