I know BAO BAO HOUSE I essentially a food court restaurant that just happen to have a really beautiful space at Hollywood & Highland's food court, but it really does serve good food.Their Har Row (shrimp dumplings) really did the trick and satisfied my hunger and kept me full for quite some time after -- enough to last an entire show. They also serve coffee. Which is also much needed because, as I mentioned already, I had to sit through a whole show.Conveniently located. Reasonable prices. Fast. Delicious. Plenty of seating is available on this floor and the others.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch during the NAHJ Convention at Ovation Hollywood! I had eyed this place during the first few days of the convention and then finally went. Got some steamed dumplings, which were pretty good and a passion fruit lemonade. The food was ready pretty quickly and I ate outside.Pretty good for a quick lunch!

Good food, but the menu is NOT correct with it ingredients. I ordered pork shumai and the menu did NOT say it had mushrooms. I asked the woman ringing me out and she said no, no mushrooms. I let her know I'm allergic. I could see the specs and showed her. She insisted no. Sitting down I cut one open and of course they are mushrooms! So I bring them back and show her. Instead of a refund I opted for the pork dumplings which were 20 cents cheaper. Also very good! People need to understand that food allergies are not to be messed with. If I had eaten those shumai, I'd have wound up with my throat closing and in the ER. Then Bao Bao house would have wound up with a lawsuit on their hands because they're not properly listing their ingredients!!! While the other items on the menu were good, I probably won't risk going there again!

Finally, there's a dim sum spot in the middle of Hollywood right in the Ovation Hollywood complex! They serve a variety of dumplings and typical dim sum offerings albeit at high prices due to the location and cost. They make them fresh daily and if you are craving for some dim sum in Hollywood, this is pretty much the only spot in the area.I got the shrimp haukau, pork dumplings, and bbq pork bun when I stopped by for lunch recently. All of them them were tasty with a good amount of filling inside and great texture on the skin. They have some sauces like chili oil on the side if you need them and I happily helped myself to some. Service was quick and easy and while they don't have any seating inside, you can easily find a table outside where there's plenty around.

After walking Hollywood we were hungry so we wondered in here to scope out the menu, service was quick and pleasant and this hit the spot! We got BBQ chicken Bao buns. They were warm, pillow soft, and especially delicious!!! We plan on stopping here before we leave.

This is located in the food court on the third floor of Ovation Hollywood. The food is already made and just heated up. Overall pretty good but a bit pricey. They do not give out free water. My kids really liked the pork baos.

FOOD...I ordered the Chicken Dumplings and they were really good. My friends ordered the Vegetable Dumplings and also liked them a lot. Forgot what else they ordered including cold teas and we all enjoyed everyrhing. Its located next to a taco spot and inside the mall in Hollywood, CA (Hollywood & Highland, if not mistaken). Customer Service...wasnt very friendly, but it wasnt bad either. It was whatever, but dumplings were good. Cleanliness...everything looked nice and clean except the sauces tiny area. It wasnt busy so it wouldve been nice to see that area clean. Especially with the whole covid still going around. I felt like disinfecting the area and wiping the counter for them. Soy sauce, napkins and straw papers everywhere and the bottles felt greasy. Grossed me out a little, but the dumplings were yummy! Would I go back???Yes, if I was with someone that wanted to eat there, I would too.

The worse wonton soup I've had. Sadly tasteless and the wontons not flavorful. I had to add lots of soy and chili paste to help it.

The bao bao house is a scam. You could buy the taro and custard bao in 99 Ranch supermarket for the whole frozen bag of 10 for only $5 dollars. I thought they hand made their own bao and charged $4 each.
