Food always fresh and tasty. Large portions, food is ready within 15-20 mins or sooner. Owner and employees are friendly. I usually get my food to go.

This was our first time trying Somali food after a coworker recommended Banadir. We ordered the goat with rice and chicken with rice. The rice changed our lives!!!! Meat was super tender and reheated well as leftovers too the following day. We will be back almost every other week - the food is just THAT GOOD. Also the chai with mint leaves was the perfect dessert. It was super sweet so heads up.

A little late, but I must share my amazing experience at this Somali restaurant! I discovered it in The Eater Guide to Los Angeles and couldn't resist stopping by since it was just a quick drive from LAX. I ordered chicken and goat to go, and the lovely cashier/cook was so sweet, even offering me a taste of their tea! The meal came with rice, salad, soup and was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

This place is amazing and it exceeded all of my expectations. First of all the service was phenomenal. The guy taking our orders (not sure if he was the owner or not) was very friendly and responsive. Service was very quick and we were taken care of immediately upon arrival. I ordered the goat and rice dish and it was delicious. Portion sizes are HUGE and the meat was well seasoned and tender. The Somali tea was very very sweet but it also had really good flavor so I went back for seconds. The fresh mint was a nice touch as well. The inside is small but was packed with people and cozy. I can't recommend this place enough!

Delicious smelling food and very big plates of food! There were like 10 full tables of people eating and the customer service was really good! It's a hole in the wall but it's busy!

Came here to try new cuisine as I've never had Somalia food before. The Menu is on the left wall as soon as you walk in. If you're eating in the restaurant, take a look then sit down and someone will come to help you.The place was pretty small but you can tell some people are regulars and enjoy the space and environment. We were helped pretty quickly and I ordered the Tilapia and rice. The Tilapia was very well seasoned and fried, but I wish I was given more fish to make up for the amount of rice I received.BE CAREFUL WITH THE GREEN SAUCE!!! Ad some one who loves and can handle spice this one will smack you in the face!

Yummy. Food portions are huge. They give you a bruised banana & tea per entree you order. Each entree plate had some tender fatty pieces and some tough charred pieces. Both types of meat were very well marinated and enjoyably tasty. Would come here again. My favorite would be:* goat (number 1 pick)* lamb * fried tilapia * the chicken was like shawarma chicken but more dry. * The beef was a bit too dry as well. (Last pick)
