great place for some indian fusion! we didn't make a reservation, but went early on a Saturday (around 5 PM) and they informed us that we could either sit at the high tables with no time limit, or at a seated table with an hour limit since they were reserved. we opted for the high table, which was small, but did the job! I highly recommend making a reservation if you have a big party.what we got:indian pickles: for me, this was the star the show. as someone who LOVES pickles, they were perfectly seasoned and I really liked how there was a nice variation in the types of vegetables. not something you would typically see at a supermarket. i also really liked how it cleansed my palette throughout the meal.chicken tikka poutine: This was amazing! the fries come out really crispy at first, and the sauce on top makes it taste so good! the sauce doesn't get over all of the fries, keeping some of them nice and crispy. highly recommend.butter chicken samosa: super good! it was piping hot when we received it and i felt like it was really good without being too salty.naan: very typical naan, but paired well with the chicken tikka masala.chicken tikka masala: not dry at all! super good and was a pretty big portion (but the price is quite hefty too)overall, great fusion restaurant. it won't be the cheapest, but we did bring out leftover curry home and felt like the meal itself was worth it! parking is a little hard, as it is street parking in fairfax, so if you have a reservation, make sure to get there early to find parking!

I enjoyed myself at Badmaash. Beware the sign outside is not in English, so at first glance it can be a little hard to find amongst the shops. Colin was our waiter and he was thee best. Very knowledgeable of the menu, accommodating, gave great recommendations and was very attentive. He definitely enhanced our experience. The restaurant had great natural light and it was very clean. We ordered the Goan Pork Curry, Basmati Rice, Lamb Biryani, Chinese Broccoli. Everything was tasty! We even stayed for dessert. We ordered the Chai-Spiced Chocolate Pot du Crème, Parle-G Ice Cream Sandwiches and the Bombay Cutting Chai. I loved the desserts the Parle-G cookies were so light and crispy. Perfect for dunking in the warm chai tea. I'm sure we'll be back.

I enjoyed a meal at Badmaash with my friend on a Friday evening. We had a reservation and were seated upon arrival. The restaurant was dimly lit and had a moody intimate ambiance. The server explained the various sections of the menu and gave us time to make our choices. Crispy Yogurt Puffs (5/5) - These panpuri were a flavor explosion. I loved the different textures that came with eating a puff in one bite. Traditional Samosa (3/5) - The samosa exterior was crispy and the interior was stuffed with potatoes and peas. We didn't love the high ratio of peas to potatoes. Butter Chicken Samosa (3/5) - This samosa was equally crispy on the outside and stuffed with butter chicken chunks on the inside. I wish the butter masala flavor was stronger and there was more of the sauce on the inside. Aloo Golbi (3/5) - Solid cauliflower and potato curry with plenty of curry to be enjoyed with our naan and rice. Paneer Tikka Masala (3/5) - I was a tad underwhelmed with the tikka masala flavor but it was still tasty with the naan and basmati rice. Chai-Spiced Chocolate Pot du Creme (3/5) - This was a rich and dense chocolate pudding that paired well with the hot chai. The chai flavor in the pot du creme was overpowered by the chocolate. Bombay Cutting Chai (5/5) - The chai was a great way to end our meal. The ambiance was great for us to have a private conversation and chat all night. However, I didn't love the menu prices but it's to be expected on Fairfax.

Amazing! I thought I'd tasted the best places for Indian food but omg this place is just a step above. We had the butter chicken (out of this world delicious), braised beef short rib (melts in your mouth), the vegan eggplant dish ( I don't particularly care for eggplant but this dish made me a believer) and the chicken poutine (best part was the sauce on top of the fries). Quoting Rachel Ray "Yumm-O!"The food was spectacular. All the flavor combinations were specific and perfect. The service was lovely. Chris couldn't have more courteous, friendly and accommodating. My one comment would be that the chairs were not particularly comfortable, but I will not be deducting any points for that because the food was exquisite. Next time I'll make sure to grab the booth. Do your mouth a favor and go to Badmaash. You'll be glad you did. :)

Food came out quick and hot!Food:- Chili Cheese Naan: the best naan ever! Gooey cheese inside with a perfect chili kick. The yogurt dip on the side pairs perfectly. - Butter Paneer: simple, flavorful, with just the right spice!- Saag Paneer: amazing! The creamy spinach and bits of tomato combo is delicious.TL;DR: Trendy spot with quick service and standout Indian food--especially the chili cheese naan and paneer dishes!

We tried this place out due to the high ratings. The food and service were amazing. Collin was so polite and helpful. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, very colorful, and I liked the lighting, everything went well together. The sauce they give you with the chicken samosas goes so well with it, I could eat those all day. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, and it didn't even feel heavy. The bread was absolutely delicious. The fries in my chicken tikka poutine STAYED crispy, I was able to bring some home for my mom to try and she loved them. I haven't stopped thinking about their mango lassi, it changed my life hahaha.

My bf loooves badmaash and we didn't realize they had another location besides DTLA. We came here because I had my dog with me and I saw there was outdoor seating, except that is gone now. Probably because they only had it up when it was during COVID? So we still wanted to dine here and hoped they allowed dogs inside, which they did! We didn't have a reservation but we got seated right away since it wasn't busy. It was really embarrassing that my dog actually pee'd in the restaurant and we felt so bad omg. Although, the waiters and employees here were so chill and accommodating, ugh bless them.We weren't too hungry but we ordered the sausage and chicken butter curry with two naans and rice. The naans and rice are a must have if having the curry! My bf enjoyed the sausage sooo much, and the sauce that came with it. I really liked the chicken butter curry and the chicken was so soft and flavorful. The naan here was also really crispy yet soft and fluffy. Everything about this place was so good! Especially with how chill, attentive, and efficient the server was. One thing I would have to say is that, they don't really turn on the a/c? So it was really stuffy and warm inside the restaurant. It's very clean but I wish they at least opened the door haha. Towards the end of the meal, I did feel the a/c turn on. Street parking could be easy. There were quite a few spots open right in front of the restaurant. It's also metered parking too.

Exquisite. We were at the Grove shopping and didn't want to wait in long line at the food places there, so here we are.We came here a day before Christmas Eve, there was no line. Service: Hottest is very kind and attentive, gave us a few table options. Server is very professional, gave us some great, *honest*, useful recommendations as we both aren't super familiar with Indian food. Food: I don't know what you are doing if you never had Badmaash at least once Butter Chicken Samosas (10/10):Best samosas I had in my life! Their handmade Punjabi Samosas are handmade fresh everyday, the waiter told us there were only three left and we ordered 2 as our apetisser-- best decision we did! The sauce is soooooo good!! It's flavourful, complex, yet not heavy!! MUST ORDER. Spiced Lamb Burger (9.5/10)Amazing, must order if you love lamb I have never had a lamb burger and ordered it because of the creative fusion idea. BUT it actually turns out beyond expectation-- crispy toasted bun, juicy and fresh lamb, refreshing lettuce (not just a thin piece). The spice covers the lamb taste, which I think this is hard to hate on! Even if it's not lamb, it's a very good burger and not just gimmick and no taste! Good jobSouth Indian "Fish Moilee" (9/10):If you're tired of Thai curry, this is something shares similar DNA but more refreshing and surprising! The coconut moilee curry in this dish remind me of red curry/ jade curry in Thai cuisine, but this has more spice. So it's less "heavy" than coconut heavy Thai curry. It's also light to medium spicy, but not overly spicy that covers the taste of everything. However: For the price, I wish it has more fish, or at least comes with rice like most curry dishes in other restaurants..Ambiance:This is a delicious food place, it may be not the best instagram spotIt's a cute place for food lover to come have dinner, good for date nights and friends gathering (their appetiser selection is wide, I would be very happy to come here with a group of friends to catch up). It's clean, their table is extendable (our waiter came to extend the table when there are more dishes, love the detail Opinion:I don't know what you are doing if you never been to Badmaash, this is not an ad, they just serve creative fusion dishes and not gimmicky-- no pretentious server Warm hospitality, waiter knows what to recommend and don't give generic advice. At the end of the dinner, our waiter offered us complimentary chai and bubble gums. Which really warms me up during winter nights, definitely coming back again! Still want to try out a few other dishes! Well done Badmaash FairFax team, thank you!
