I LOVED dining at Bacari on 3rd. The space/ambiance is simply gorgeous, the food is spectacular, and the service is 10/10.I went on Valentine's Day for dinner and was so impressed. I love trying a variety of foods and their menu is so fantastic for that because the plates are smaller and you're meant to order a few of them. I tried a few a their cocktails, the valentine ones and an espresso martini, and didn't think much of them, but I care more about the food anyway and that was stellar. Some standout favorites of mine were the lamb hummus, wings, and Mac and cheese!! So delicious.Perfect for date night or celebrations. I hear they really shine at brunch too. I'm already planning my next visit!

The ambience and aesthetic of Bacari is a must see. You are immediately immersed in their culture walking down a long tunnel.Tapas style restaurant, with plenty of options vegan and not.Few reasons this review wasn't a 5:1. We started off with the most amazing waitress Daniela who just shined and you could tell she was immersed in what Bacari offered. She was very attentive to our needs and lovely person who just wanted to join your table.2. Right as our food was being served there was a change in staff as she was the first cut for the night. Everything changed from there. We didn't even get the new waitresses name had to continuously look for her and ask for the things that we needed. When the food was brought out, there were no serving utensils, knowing that we were a large group of individuals that were sharing all the tapas. When asked it felt as if we were disturbing her.We had to try to waive her down multiple times to get the things that we needed for our table like refills, order more items and get our bill. Our table was rarely cleared off unless we asked and it just made the experience to the point where I don't think we will come back.Food was great but the experience brought the stars down.

Took my brother and cousin to Bacari for brunch this weekend and we were blessed to catch a beautiful 72-degree day amidst some blustery weeks of windy & chilly weather. I hadn't been to Bacari for brunch before but I had great memories of the food and ambiance my last visit. Their menu didn't have a ton of breakfast-y options, there was a shakshuka, crab cake benedict and a French toast that should not be missed. You could add an egg to other dishes like the burger or their sauced-up fries so that makes up for it as long as you aren't too traditional during brunch. They offer a 90 minute drink special, all you can drink for the price of about 2 cocktails, which is a thoughtful offering given the high prices of the area! It's available whenever they are open too, so I will definitely keep them in mind for happy hour. The food and drinks are great but what makes it so special is the vibe, it's very energetic but relaxed at the same time. Friendly, unpretentious service. Plus I love the tunnel entryway and courtyard covered with bougainvillea. Definitely recommend for a variety of occasions.

After shopping at the Grove, we decided to look for a place for a quick dinner. We saw Bacari has many good reviews and wanted to give it a try. We have no reservation, but the hostess was so nice to give us a table as long as we can finish by a certain time. Sounds good. After going through a very mysterious brick tunnel, when the door opened we immediately felt the cozy, romantic vibe restaurant. The ambience was very romantic and the restaurant was decorated with sting lights. We were seated by the tree, a tight spot but perfect for staying close to my partner. After reviewing the menu, we decided to order a few items, the menu is tapas style so the portion was small but allowing us to try a few things. We had the scallop, Brussels sprouts, the shawarma tacos and the pork belly. We finished our dinner with the double chocolate cake. It was a wonderful and romantic dinner. I'd like to come back and try their breakfast /brunch.

Came here on a Monday evening with some girlfriends for a dinner before the holiday break. We made a reservation on OpenTable and were sat immediately. Our server was quick to bring us tap water we requested and had some suggestions for the wine selection. We ended up going with a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand for the table. For food, we ordered two pizzas (smoked mushroom, Asian pear and Brie), stuffed mushrooms, burrata caprese, little gem salad, beef cheek, pork belly, scallops, and sea bass. The kitchen paced out our food very nicely. It didn't feel like we were ever waiting to eat or rushed. The two pizzas were lovely. If you like both savory and sweet pizzas, I would recommend either. However, my friend doesn't really like sweet so the Asian pear and brie is isn't something she wants to order again. I thought it paired very nicely together - a little caramelized with the char from cooking and gooey texture with the mild flavor from the brie. The smoked mushroom pizza was also very good. A stronger flavor with the baked mushrooms and sharp tang of the goat cheese. Both had a nice thin crust. The mushrooms were stuffed with a mixture of pesto and cheese. The mushrooms were very succulent in texture but mild in taste, which played well with the strong taste of the stuffing. The burrata caprese was as to be expected. Came with the same pesto as the stuffed mushrooms, along with some heirloom cherry tomatoes that gave a fresh pop of acid to match the creaminess of the burrata. The little gem salad was like a mini Cobb salad. The dressing to lettuce ratio was wonderful. Enough of the toppings and dressing to go with each bite but not enough to drench the leaves and make it soggy.I really enjoyed the cut of beef cheek, which came with radishes and goat cheese polenta. The meat was stewed or slow cooked to have a short rib kind of texture, but still had some pieces of tendon that I enjoyed. The polenta was especially tasty, with a kick from what I'm assuming is the Aleppo oil. The pork belly was braised in a sweet glaze and came paired with cilantro. It wasn't the most tender pork belly I've had but the flavor was there and it was quite delicious. The only thing was that a tiny part of the meat was a little tough and stringy. But overall very tasty. Lastly, the seafood dishes were only okay. The texture of both the sea bass and scallops were a bit rubbery, clearly from frozen. What saved it were the sauces and other ingredients in the dishes. The shishito peppers and corn in the sea bass gave a mild heat and sweetness to the dish. The carrot parsnip purée gave the scallops more textural variety along with the beet chips. Our overall experience was very pleasant and the food was pretty good - some dishes were clearly better quality than others. I would come back to try the ones I didn't get a chance to taste this time to see what I missed or what I can recommend to friends who want to visit this restaurant. I love the ambience. It was dimly lit and decorated with Mediterranean inspired decor. It is a little loud inside and I'm not sure about the music choice, but I would tell someone to come check it out for the food and vibes.

Lots of food options and tapas style, Service and vibes are amazing for my friend's birthday brunch. We ordered so much food but they all came out at a good time and the wait wasn't too bad even though they were busy. Partly indoors/outdoors experience at this location!

We came for brunch on a Sunday around 12:30pm. The service was great our server was really helpful and kind in explaining the menu/giving suggestions. The mimosas were good (i got bottomless) and when my drink went unfilled they brought me an extra cup to replace my missed drink. All the food was great and hot. Our food did not come out together so by the time everyone got their meals the people who received their food first had semi cold food. The patio was beautiful and we sat right under the tree. The restrooms were clean and stocked.

My bestie and I came here for brunch. I've always loved this location because of the decor and ambiance. It feels like you're stepping into someone's very well decorated backyard. We decided to split some dishes:- Shrimp ceviche: Very good, would highly recommend- Egg pizza: This is ok. It's not my favorite, and I wouldn't order it twice. - Smoked salmon pita: This was my favorite. It was the perfect size, not too big, not too small. If you're a fan of bagels and lox, this is a great option. - Bacari fries: We skipped the egg on top. Again not my favorite. The sauce on top wasn't that great, because it made the french fries soggy. The restaurant was busy, but not overly so. Maybe they were understaffed but it took forever for the drinks to come out. I also feel that a restaurant should have more than 2 bathrooms (they're all gender), especially if it gets very busy.

I love Bacari! I've been a few times and while 3rd street was adorbs, the patio in Sherman Oaks takes first place. The space alone helps push it to the top. The canopy's and flowers make me feel like I'm in Spain! Cocktails are vibrant and yummy, unique and refreshing, so drinks take second place. For these reasons I enjoy meeting with friends at all times throughout the day. The food can be inconsistent, and sometimes the flavors aren't well balanced and can be heavy with paprika. But it's good enough to keep me coming back. So don't wait! Book a late lunch or an early dinner and sip your self into the evening when the bistro lights come on and the live music starts, and you too will be a fan!!
