Bacari Sherman Oaks

Wow. The service was incredible (man, I wish I could remember our waitress's name, but she was absolutely incredible). The food was impeccable (and perfectly cooked). I had bacon, eggs, and the smoked salmon pita (sans pita). My friend had the French toast and fruit. What a cute spot (great for a date or brunch). It doesn't feel like you're in a big city, but has the charm of a quaint, small town. Also, the owner, Danny, sent a thank you note to us after our experience and that spoke volumes about how much these people care about their customers. Great staff. Great food. Great all around!

Came here recently for dinner. The ambiance was lovely.Initial wait even with a reservation of about 10 minutes. We got seated outside, which was expected since I know the listing noted outside as likely area. There were heaters since it was rather cold, but for the area we were seated in the heaters did not quite reach the friend I was with and a good 15 mins in they were freezing in the corner. I think they should reevaluate some of the seating setup for parties in corners. As for the food. It was all great and tasted delicious. We ordered 6 plates for a party of 2. Timing was a bit odd. Plates seemed to sometimes take forever to arrive. We finished 5 of 6 plates. The last one (brussel sprouts) we gave up waiting on and asked to just get it to go with the check. It still took a good time and eventually we got it, however they seemed to have billed us for two of the same plate. Asked the server to correct it and he did and jetted before we froze. Not the best of experiences. Maybe just not the best night which sometimes happens and id give it another try in future.

Guyssss if I could give them 6 stars I would. I went today for happy hour. The outside area is so cute but also a little cold during winter even with the heaters. I arrived to a mostly empty space at 5:30 but by 6:30 it was super packed. There is a middle outside patio area and two inside areas surrounding. I've been to almost all the Bacari locations but this might be my new favorite. I parked on the street but there is valet also. Not sure if it costs money. Now to the food, I always get the pork belly. It's my fav and never misses. Tried some new items this time: petite filet, beef cheek, street corn, and the grilled pita. The petite filet is my new go to. It was perfectly cooked and the bernaise sauce was flawless. Soooo delicious. 11/10. The grilled pita and street corn were both good with some spice, probably 8.5/10 for both. The pita fell apart a little and left some oil on the plate though. The beef cheek was very tender and also delicious probably a 8/10. As for drinks, we got mocktails. I got the visual soundscape and my boyfriend got the shadowboxer. Both were delicioussssss. Our server was Maya. She was super nice even though she had a LOTTTT of tables to take care of. Always checked and made sure we were taken care of. Christian the manager was also helping and was super nice.

Everyone was attentive, friendly, and professional. To top it all off, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. My first experience at Bacari was at the Silverlake location, and I had such a great time, so when I heard about the Sherman Oaks location, I knew I had to try it. Finally made it here on a Saturday night. Our reservation was at 845. The place was packed to the brim with a line outside the door just for checking in. We didn't get seated until after 9, however we were able to order drinks at the bar while we waited. A server didn't come for a long while, so we asked someone if we could order. They sent the manager, Selena, who took our order and was very apologetic about the wait. She was very sweet and polite, and her customer service was great. By the end of the night, we were assigned a new server, Justin, who was also very sweet and attentive. For drinks, we really enjoyed our Bacaritas. They tasted like watermelon jolly ranchers, but still packed a great punch. For food, the sea bass was my favorite. I like that the food is tapas style, so you can try a lot of different things. They recommend 2-3 dishes per person. We got 7 for 3 of us, and we couldn't finish 3 of the plates.Service 10/10 thanks to Selena and Justin! Would be back just for them!

great service by zozsa, amazing food, and very dark candle lit ambiance with live music. the food is mostly like shareables, i'd order lots of everything and share for the table. i got the strawberry fizz drink and it was good. the bread putting was great. we loved the little gem salad, grilled pita, petite steak & grilled chicken w risotto.

Our server Justin was amazing. Always checking in on us, the food was perfect along with the ambiance.

The food here is absolutely amazing. They have such unique dishes that you would never think to taste good. Like the Pear and Brie pizza, I didn't think putting pears on pizza would taste so good. And on top of that our server Justin was so great and accommodating. He was so funny and really made it feel like we were taken care of. He always checked in on us. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Christian gave us the best service for my friend's birthday! We had set menus since there were 17 of us and we had a gluten allergy and he was so attentive and careful with everything, plus the open bar for 90 minutes was so worth it! Everyone come here for your next birthday dinner Thank you Christian! You're the best!
