Even during mid week, this place gets pretty busy. Menu wise does offer a lot of meat to choose from. Compared to others, it still has a good selection for the price. Meat wise, everything we always get, has always been fresh. Portion wise seems to varies depending on how many is in your party. Seems like it. You get four selection each time and it doesn't take long for it to come out. The side dishes, a good amount of items on the menu. As well as the soup and ramen section. They do have alcohol as well. Grills are changed constantly which is good as the grease does coat it pretty fast and it will get smokey. Side dishes are great and of course, bottomless. What they need to improve on is updating the tongs for the meat. They don't grab or it's either used and abused and worn out. Besides that, it was good.

Came here on a Saturday with my partner, we were given a 45 min wait time , but we were pleasantly surprised we only waited 15 min. Place is clean which is nice.Personally I think all the sides are delicious but the quality of meat is lacking which is why I chose to give them 3 stars. Don't get me wrong It's nice that they give a free deserts and that appetizers are included in the price, but for what it's worth the chicken was dry and bland. I didn't have any of the sea food this time because I had the same experience previously of it being dry. If all I'm in the mood for is brisket and appetizers then I'd go here other wise other meat options are not it.

Nothing about this place will make me want to go back. The mysterious meat cuts are not good. They are drenched in the marinade, so the meat boils but doesn't carmelize. The service was slow and frustrating, the ambiance weird, and the only good thing was the company, which I could meet in a better establishment. So that's a no for me.It's a shame because I wanted to find a good K-BBQ spot in the valley.

I chose this place for a birthday celebration because I had a wonderful time there a couple of years ago. This time was not a wonderful time. We were 11 people. Some of the people had never had Korean barbecue before. I had ordered food for them. The waiter took our order. However, we had many items missing. When I looked for the waiter, I couldn't find him. I asked a female server for something, and she said, "your waiter will get that for you." Again, I could not find him. Another waiter came by. I asked if he was our new waiter. He stated, "we are all your waiters." I guess the waitress before didn't realize that..We were low on utensils. One person in our party asked for a fork. The waiter said that they were in the metal container. She said she couldn't find it. His response was, "You didn't look good enough!"Since we were a large party, I thought that we would receive attentive service. We had horrible service! We had to ask for things such as extra banchan several times. Nothing was suggested or offered....not even kimchi! I asked for kimchi twice. Finally, the waiter brought out one small dish for 11 people. Ten minutes later I asked him for another one, and he disappeared for a long time again.Considering the fact that our bill was over $600 and the waiter received a $89 tip (included), I thought that there may be more attentive and friendly service. There are better Korean barbecue restaurants that will make you feel welcome. This place was disappointing..I do not recommend AYCE Gogi. I will not have any other birthday parties there.

AYCE Gogi in Van Nuys is an absolute deal at $31 until 3pm for lunch. Caveat is that obviously it's not a prime dinIng experience. It's the case of more is better; more quantity than quality in terms of ingredients & food preparation. The service here is friendly & competent. The lady receptionist, who initially waited on us because the other servers were so busy, was especially kind & efficient at 3pm on Sat. Aug. 17 although our male server was also welcoming. 1) Presentation of 5 Banchan/hors d'oeuvres: a) Tasty blanched green spinach dressed in toasty, nutty sesame seed oil, touch of garlic, salt. b) Strangely refreshing, funky cilantro greens, onion, tomato rested in light oil dressing. c) Bland parboiled broccoli, pulverized Tōfu, grated carrots. d) Pasty, mash potato mayonnaise salad bits of red cabbage & carrot only for color. e) Small rotelle/spiral tricolore pasta dressed solely with mayo. 2) Upon request: a) Flexible, pliable, moist rice paper squares to make a "sandwich" for meat & veggies. b) Ultra thin, sweet vinegar touched Daikon radish to wrap meats & veggies. c) Sliced sweet onions with a mild crunch to enhance heavy meat flavours. d) Won Bok/nappa cabbage pickled with garlic, mild, bright red chile powder. e) Shredded cabbage salad in vague perhaps Miso dressing. f) Corn cheese, Jalapeño also available 3) Meats: a) Bul Gogi: Thin sliced beef marinated in extremely overly sweet soy sauce marinade that totally infused into the meat. b) Bul Gal Bi: Thicker short rib meat that couldn't absorb the extremely sweet marinade was the way to go. c) Attenuated lemon pepper salt was sprinkled over chicken pieces and the soy sauce marinade kept the meat soft & moist. d) Daeji Gogi: Thin sliced pork marinated in thick, viscous Gochujang made of slightly fermented red chiles, rice, soy bean, vinegar, sugar was sweet-sour. However, meat was over marinated so the meat was mushy at the same time grainy. e) Pork Belly: Two 3/8" thick with fat & meaty areas. There was no marinade to pep up the flavours so used the salty Kim Chi juice to baste while the meat cooked over the grill. f) Tongue looked red & meaty, but again no marinade so sprinkling salt became the only alternative. g) Garlic shrimp: I think the kitchen forgot to add in puréed garlic so basically tasteless.h) Cajun ShrImp: Sprinkled with Cajun Crawfish boil spice mix that was so old that all the aromatics were long gone. 4) Side Orders:a) Fried Shumai: Dumplings surrounded by wheat wrapper. Inside is a sweet, plush fish paste. b) Chap Chae: Chewy, translucent pasta made from low calorie Kon'yaku root sautéed with bit of sesame oil, carrot, spinach, cucumber, soy sauce, sugar, sprinkled with white sesame seeds. 5) Complementary Frozen Yogurt with a light lemon taste with a pleasant, fermented dairy tastes like Yakult Probiotic yogurt drink. Understandably, at this price point, all the meats are third tier & frozen for god knows how long. I don't think AYCE Gogi would be very competative in the heart of Korea town where standards are higher. However, not having to fight traffic, finding precious parking does make AYCE look more attractive. 3 1/2 stars

LOVE coming hereUsually always people waiting to be seated but we got a table within 10 - 15 min of arriving. They have SO many choices for seasonings and meats. They also have a lot of good sides and they're actually not expensive & kids pay less or eat for free depending on how tall they are. Service is friendly and quick. Really loud and busy but a cool place to eat AND play pinball games (they have so many). My son actually is the one who chose to come here for his birthday and I'm glad he did! Definitely order some radish paper & cheese corn! They really add flavor to the meat 10/10 recommend

Went here on a busy day (Valentine's Day) and only had to wait 20 minutes. They were very fast with bringing our order to the table. I like the fact that they offer steamed egg, however I feel that it was lacking flavor. I think the meats were okay. They have a wider range of side selections than meat. There was a limit to the amount of shrimp you could get, they were also peeled (I personally like them whole) I feel like there are better kbbq spots out there for the same price if not less. They have a pin ball room in the back. It feels dark and underground. I kind of like the vibe. You go in through an arcade waiting room so there are no widows. When you're done eating they give you frozen yogurt and thats kind of the best part about it. I don't think this would ever be my first option for kbbq, nor would I seek out to eat here again, but I also would never say no to kbbq.

Over all good Ayce place, although it wasn't the best quality of meats and banchans. It was ok for all you can eat. Just know you are going for the quantity and not quality of food. The service was great though, very attentive server.

The Food was great and the side items were delish! The service was fast. We were able to try everything...I didn't like the veggie Gyoza and the veggie tempura was only sweet potato. But the tables were spacious and it's not tight like other Korean BBQ spots and always a plus...were the clean bathrooms.
