The restaurant was fairly small but cozy, with a good amount of wall decorations to enjoy. Our server was great. It was my group's first time, and he helped us get started with some recommendations and checked in periodically to make sure we're enjoying ourselves. I tried their chicken sate appetizer, the Tom Kha soup (mild spice), and Spicy Basil with crispy pork belly (medium spice). The chicken sate was well seasoned but a little tad dry. The peanut sate sauce was an amazing pairing with the skewers. The Tom Kha soup has a generous amount of mushrooms, and the assorted mushrooms added a variety of textures to enjoy the soup. The soup itself was light but creamy with a right amount of sweetness. The soup was quite tart, and I did wish I ordered a higher spice level to balance out the flavors. The few pieces of chilis in the soup were appreciated for adding that extra kick. I am mixed with the spicy basil. I enjoyed the sauce and how garlicky it was along with the basil and chili flavors. However, my pork belly was rather tough and chewy and needed the sauce for flavor. The green beans were also fairly hard. Overall, I did enjoy my time at Ayara Thai and enjoyed the food. I thought the prices are reasonable as well. But I do feel a tad disappointed for a restaurant featured in the Michelin guide.

*Takeout Order*After trying Thai food in East Hollywood, I was convinced nothing in West LA could compare--until I tried Ayara. A friend recommended it, and I'm so glad I took the chance! We ordered the Tom Kha, Red Curry, Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, and Spicy Basil Fried Rice, and everything was incredible. The papaya salad stood out with its perfectly thin slices, absorbing all the flavors beautifully. The Tom Kha broth was creamy, fragrant, and balanced with just the right amount of lemongrass. The Red Curry had the perfect level of spice and creaminess, making it impossible to stop eating. And the Pad Thai? Perfectly balanced flavors, with each bite just as good as the last.If you're looking for solid Thai food in West LA, this is it. Definitely coming back!

My husband I have eaten at the restaurant outside with our dog and it was really good. I'm 9 months pregnant and ordered the curry again but it normally doesn't come spicy. I asked if they can make it extra spicy for me to induce my labor. They did not disappoint. The kitchen even offered my husband extra spice on the side. It was soooo goood. Fingers crossed this works!1/14/25 Update in labor today. 4 days later so it might of helped but not sure still really good and we will back soon.

My friend's were raving about Ayara Thai as being their favorite Thai restaurant on the west side, and I have to say that they certainly are up there in quality and pricing.Having just landed at LAX, it was a close enough walk to get to Ayara Thai from Terminal 1 to meet friends for lunch. They do not offer dine-in for lunch but have plenty of outdoor seating. You order either from the kiosk or with the staff at the window.Their menu was massive and I was so pleased to see how everything vegan or vegetarian was clearly marked, and you had the option to veganize items. Plus, there lunch deal is fabulous - for $20, you get a main, appetizer, and a drink. That's awesome!I went with their Tofu Pad See-Ew with papaya salad and a Thai Tea (which uses a non-dairy creamer). The noodles were fire and the use of Chinese broccoli does not go unnoticed. Papaya salad had a nice kick to it as well.My friends shared their Tom Yum and Fried Tofu and both were also delicious. They really do serve up some high quality Thai and I'm so glad we got to try them on this short visit. Highly recommend anyone come over for lunch to take advantage of their combo deal.

This is a neighborhood hot spot if you want thai food. The ambiance is cute and cozy with indoor and out door seating. They have a cute well lit and warm patio complete with heating lamps for these cold evenings. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The bust boy was very personable and our waitress was nice. If your looking for a bite to eat with affordable prices, this is the place if in the neighborhood

Had the opportunity to try Ayara Thai while in LA before our flight to Hawaii. Was staying nearby and I'm always down for some Thai food since it reminds me of home. Ayara Thai is a small family restaurant and it was packed, so we waited about 30 minutes to see if we could get a table. The staff are great. When a table opened up, we got right to ordering lots of my Thai favorites. Thai tea is a must, though I would say it's a little thinner than I like, I drank mine and most of my husband's! We tried the fried tofu, which I haven't eaten in a while. It was on the soft side for me. The dipping sauce was good. The lobster pad Thai was a first for me, a nice twist to a classic Thai meal. Man, that was so good! I'd definitely order that again and skip the apps so I have enough room! This is a great restaurant to check out. Definitely will go again on a future visit to LA!

I was craving Tom Kha and I tried 2 different places before Ayara with no luck. I finally found Ayara and I really enjoyed myself and happy to have brought my mother to join. The food was delicious and I even took my food home and enjoyed after. The restaurant itself was pleasant quiet with light music playing. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the actual restaurant but take my word and give them a try!

I recently revisited Ayara Thai after a couple of years, this time bringing a friend along, and it did not disappoint! The crying tiger and pad thai are just as amazing as I remembered! They're packed with so much flavor compared to other local Thai spots. We also tried the Tom Yum Soup, and it was perfectly sour and had the right amount of kick for our tastes. The workers are still very friendly and I believe their seating even expanded over the past couple of years making it more spacious but still cozy. I'm glad this spot has stayed consistent in quality and service!

After reading all the Yelp reviews it was time for me to visit and see if I was as enthralled as everyone else...especially since I had just come back from Bangkok and actually had Thai food in Thailand!I was impressed by the kind service, the salted egg calamari, green papaya salad, and the stir fried greens. I found both the pad see ew and the holy basil stir fry too sweet, but I'm sure some people would like it that way. They have a huge parking lot and take out is the fastest option (you can eat your take out at the tables outside, but there is no restaurant service for those tables).
