We decided to have our dinner here before the LA Phil concert. We were greeted by a welcoming server, Chris. He gave us a very good and thorough introduction of the menu with very helpful recommendation. We enjoyed the romantic and casual vibe. The food is so amazing. The chef, put a lot of details in the food texture and how different sauces to make a dish very interesting. The pairing of the ingredients was clever. We definitely had a wonderful dinner and will like to return for more.

It's a nice restaurant in the Walt Disney aconcert Hall but you have to go outside for the entrance. They have a nice interior and very polished. Staff are nice and friendly, they are knowledgeable on which dishes come out fast because we have a show coming up in 1 hr.We feel like the rock cod is okay, nothing to special, but we don't think it's worth $45+The mushroom risotto is good, a little salty for me , but my partner likes it.They have a delish cocktail, we got the asterid milky cocktail, they are sweet and strong.Overall, I think it's a little overpriced for the food, but since it's inside the concert hall and in dtla, I guess it's normal.

General Manager Juan Lamouth is outstanding, and I have to start with that first. The night we had decided to try Asterid was for a Birthday Dinner. When we had arrived, due to unforeseen circumstances, much of the menu was not available at the time. Juan did everything in his ability to make things right for those dining that evening, working with what he had available. Of the dishes that came, everything was excellent, from presentation to taste. We started with the Sunchoke Potato, Kanpachi, and Grilled Avocado. The mushroom dishes were my favorites there, having had both the Mitake Mushrooms and the Shimeji Risotto. The New York Strip was the main, and came out beautifully like everything else did, but I kept raving about those mushroom plates. Our server Tatiana was fantastic too. When it came time for dessert, we were delighted to find she had a Coconut Rice Pudding with Passionfruit and the Budino Dark Chocolate Mousse waiting for us, both being compliments of the house.I will return to try the next season's menu just because of how well things were handled by Juan and his team after coming from a tough position.

I stop by Asterid whenever I have tickets to a show at the Disney or the theatre. The food is delicious and the cocktails are so well crafted. I love the cranberry and smoke that is my current fav there- a tasty balance of mezcal, cranberry and a touch of maple syrup for sweetness.

Made reservations here because I went to the show at Disney Hall. Everyone inside I assume was going to the show....decent service, food was good. We had the Miyatake mushroom and Grilled avocado appetizers, then the short rib, duck, roasted chicken, and scallop entrees. All were ok, chicken was cooked perfectly. Rice pudding and the chocolate dessert. Food was all ok....would come here again if going to a show here, and time was short.

First off the staff are very inviting and personable. The wife and I were seated in the very warm, romantic, intimate dining room with a lovely corner table. We started with mushrooms appetizer which was awesome, oh did I mention they're fried. My wife had the braised short ribs and I had the cod. I with I could dive more in depth on the flavor profiles but trust me when I say they were delicious. The dessert was to die for. We ordered the cheese cake, and this dark chocolate cup of goodness. Oh and the coffee is really good as well. Thanks Chris for your great service and it was a pleasure meeting Juan.

We came here for Sunday brunch since there are few options to dine in DTLA that are within walking distance of the Music Center. The menu was limited and we opted for a burger. We weren't asked how we wanted the burger prepared, we got the impression the burger was not made to order, and a request to add a slice of raw onion was declined. The burger doesn't come with lettuce or tomatoes but was served with some type of cheesy, sautéed onion substance with four tiny pickle chips on the side. The burger was lacking in seasoning but at least the fries were edible. Asterid has never appeared on a "best burger" list and probably never will. A fast food burger would have been a better option.

I'm in love with Asterid. I've come here several times for pre-show appetizers and drinks. The staff is super welcoming and professional. The restaurant is very clean and modern. Ramos Gin Fizz: there aren't too many bartenders who know how to make this drink. Bartenders Chris and Paige made me my drink and it was fun!Paper Plane: another favorite! Bartender Paige made this drink with precision. Caviar appetizer: one bite sized morsel appetizer. $45. Delicious. Maitake Mushrooms: this appetizer was fried and a delight to eat! Always a fan of this place!
