We had a tasty dinner at Assa Dakbal before a show at the Wiltern. It's just two blocks away from the theater, and is a convenient spot for a pre show meal. It's kind of like Korean tapas or izakaya, where you order a few dishes to share. We got the kimchi pancakes, seafood udon, chicken feet, braised tofu, and spicy squid. The standouts for me were the tofu and the seafood udon. Everything was Korean spicy, which is to say spicy. In a good way. We ordered it mild, but that's like American medium.Anyways, Assa Dakbal was very good. If you want to try Korean food or you're headed to the Wiltern, I would totally recommend this spot.

This is my 2nd time dining here and it always smacks! I looooooove spicy food, especially the chicken feet. We got the level 3 and wow my eyes were watery but I couldn't stop eating it. Soup hits the spot after a very long day. The chicken and cheese was delicious, ate it with rice the next day ohoho. They also serve all kinds of korean beers and soju, perfect for a late night hangout with friends. It also looks like it's only one person running the dinning hall, so please be patient with him! I couldn't grab his name but he was really nice and friendly. Food and drinks come out in orderly fashion. If you're a fan of spicy food, come try this place!

Came here with a group of friends after a run. It was the perfect amount for all 5 of us. We got the spicy chicken with cheese level 1 spicy it was a great spice! We asked for level 2 but the guy said it can get hot if you're not into spicy food. So we went with level 1. The steam egg helped to balance out the meal and the rice balls were sooo tasty! The rice balls have seaweed and sesame seeds. we got three orders of rice balls. Great, chill service, super friendly. the booths are the perfect amount of privacy.

The food and service were great here! Place is small and intimate with private booths. The amount of food for the price was great too. Tip for anyone looking for parking around the area. There is parking in the back of the building through a small alley thats very easy to miss. Hubby and I will definitely be coming back when we visit LA.

After contemplating for a while I finally got my friends to try this new Dakbal spot... and we were thoroughly pleased. The chicken feet was very spicy (level 4 n I'm Korean it's spicier than Hanshin) I would say a little pricey for the amount of food BUT the pork skin made up for that 100% it is a hard to find dish done well like even in huge ktown. And to top it off, we got ice cream on the house!!! I love the walled off booth seating cause I enjoyed not havin prying eyes of nosy strangers haha and of course a small parking lot in the back --fills up quick but plenty of street parking as well. This is def a great new go-to for meWE'll BE BACK SAJANGNIM!

Eric made us feel really welcomed and at-home, and we were really grateful for our time there! He gave us so many refills of banchan and even sent us some watermelon to cool down the spice of the chicken feet. What we ordered:- Spicy chicken feet: So good!!! Sometimes, I find that the sauce they use in other restaurants can feel like too much, but this was perfect. It was spicy at Level 2 (out of 6), and trust me, I will be back to try even spicier. We both loved this even though it can definitely be really spicy.- Stir-fried pork with kimchi and tofu: This felt very homey but still hits all the cravings we had for a good Korean stir fried dish. The sauce was great and the pork belly slices, kimchi and onion, and some rice cake slices were a nice surprise.- Steamed egg: Tasted like home--nice and super warm. The interior, I think, definitely has the potential to become a really nice and chill place to spend time with friends. We went on a less busy weekday night, but it didn't feel awkward at all and we left very happy with our time there.

This place was amazing! Every dish we had was so flavorful and delicious. Eric was our server and he did an excellent job making us feel at home. The restaurant itself was also clean and welcoming, we loved the vibe. Our favorite dish was the Galbi. I would have loved some leftovers but we ate everything so quickly because it was so good. Can't wait to come back!

Came here late Friday night hoping to try some good chicken feet! Coming in we were greeted by Eric who helped us with deciding what to get. He gave us great recommendations but we just ate the chicken feetChicken Feet- pretty on par! Who knew Korean chicken feet actually tasted that good! Flavors were definitely around and it was very enjoyable! You get that salty taste mixed with umami.Definitely would come back again! The staff's hospitality got us enjoying the food even better especially after a long night. Will recommend this place because not only is the food good but the customer service is great
