So good that I'm willing to take effort to write a yelp review.Ordered braised pork belly and quail eggs, sous-vide beef short ribs, Hong Kong style fried prawns, stir-fry choy sum, soup dumplings and pancakes. In general, I was just amazed by how sophisticated the flavor is, how dishes are flavorful but not oily, light n very enjoyable.Pork belly was very rich though still light. The skin and fat layer was like butter and the meat like melted in the mouth. The quail eggs tasted great too (don't know why but somehow they can easily taste a bit off.)! The flavor is very well balanced. Definitely very well crafted huaiyang/Shanghai-style dish.Sous-vide beef had the perfect texture, juicy and tender. (It came with baked corn with cheese, which was obviously also nice.)Was my first time having Hong Kong style fried prawns. The meat was very tender n juicy, the shells were fried to a crispy texture that were also nice to eat, though not all shell part. No overpowering garlic or salty flavor. The soup dumplings was great in flavor but not oily. Skin was perfect thickness, pretty resistant yet still thin. Definitely top 1-2 juicy dumplings among all the ones I've had around LA. Choy sum was cooked to the great texture, the stem still had a bit crunch to it.Would definitely come back n try other things. Have a feeling this would be the best restaurant for shanghainese style dishes!

This restaurant has a beautiful display of a whale floating through a waterfall background at the entrance. It was really entertaining to look at while waiting for us to be seated. The vibes are calm & soothing! My husband & I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for Valentine's Day. The experience we had here was amazing. My favorite dish of the night was the beef short ribs! It came with corn cheese & dipping sauces. The ribs in my opinion had the perfect texture. It just melted in my mouth. Another favorite of mine was the Xiao Long Bao. It was really flavorful & delicious. The food here is amazingly good & fresh. The staff were helpful & always checking on us.

Came here for the roasted duck! You have to pay more for the presentation that includes the table side carving and smoked duck, which was worth it! Service was great and enjoyed each dish! Roast duck was my fav- love that they serve it different ways- smoked, carved, skin. Would come back for this!And restaurant looked very classy! Good vibes!

Array 36 is an upscale restaurant that offers authentic Chinese dishes. We came here for lunch and I'm honestly blown away at the experience. The food was impeccable. Yes it's pricey but they're using fresh seafood and meats so you're paying for quality. All the dishes were super well balanced. Nothing was overly salty or spicy but everything had a great depth of flavor. My favorite bit of the meal was the golden soup. Very luscious with a hint of sour and spice. There were also no bones in the fish. The Peking Duck was delicious. Very lean and the chun bings came out steaming. I also liked how they offered a brown sugar as apart of the toppings with gave the Peking Duck a surprise pop of flavor. What really stood out to me was the dining experience. Each table felt very private because the tables are pretty spread out and the decor of the restaurant has decorative barriers. The decor and ambience is lovely as well. The service was great, waiters were very attentive and kind. Overall Array 36 is a great choice if you want to go all out on a meal and get some really tasty dishes.

Came to celebrate the Lunar New Year...loved the ambiance and the design of the restaurant. It's unique and very different than the white walled typical colors of other Chinese establishments. The decor was nice and it looked like they really spent quite a bit on the overall construction. We ordered quite a few dishes for our party of 10 - you can see the pictures. I would say maybe 4 dishes (jellyfish, pork, shrimp and soup) were a hit while the remaining were misses - and that was basically unanimous amongst our party. The worst dishes were the fish and steak - not good at all. Service was hit and miss - we were in a private room and they didn't refill the hot tea until we asked, they didn't change the plates until we asked, nor did they come to remove the finished plates so we just put them on a buffet nearby. We saw trash on the floor, stray chopsticks around the wall decor, and a balloon that was up against the ceiling. Many have said how pricey the place is - I tried to evaluate based on experience, food and service. Regardless of the price, this place was mediocre at best...but then you add in the almost $960 bill, I honestly can't say I would recommend this place. I have heard from several friends that the service and cleanliness have gone downhill since its initial opening months...maybe ownership would consider regrouping and refocusing. We all wanted to enjoy the meal but we were disappointed with the overall experience.

What a fabulous newer upscale Chinese restaurant. We had a wonderful family dinner here. I drive by this area often and didn't notice when they changed over. Inside is fancy, maybe a bit dark, but fancy. Signature Roast Duck - not exactly like Peking Duck skin, but same presentation. Accompaniments include cucumbers, thin pancakes, sauce, green onion and brown sugar. This was tasty and a hit. Make sure to keep the pancake lid closed as they tend to dry out. Crispy Prawns - flavorful and crispy, this was good Dunken Chicken - cool presentation and okay flavorsRoasted Cauliflower - this was good and a bit of a kickBraised Pork Belly - this has a great sauceGarlic Noodles - I really like the texture of the noodles, they were super bouncyService was good. Parking can be tight during meal times in the shared space. Definitely recommended.

I was counting my friends like a teacher during roll call! Getting our server's attention? Harder than finding your keys in a dark room!Now the food? That's where things get good! The Cordyceps Flower with Whole Chicken Soup (虫草花整鸡汤) was absolutely wonderful. The Blueberry Jello Yam (蓝莓果冻山药)? Such a creative and delicious surprise! The Bigeye Snapper (大眼红斑) was fresh and perfectly cooked, though the prices might make your wallet a bit lighter!But sweeties, even the tastiest food can't make up for waiting forever to get service! Food gets 4/5 stars, service a tiny 1/5, ambiance 3/5... making this a 2/5 overall experience.Final verdict? The food's fantastic, but the service needs serious help! This diner won't be making a return trip!

This place was lovely! The dishes are really delicious, the atmosphere was great as well. Duck was tasty Laura our server, was very nice and helpful. Would come back for sure!
