Best pizza in LA by far. When prince st. Came it was definitely the king but Apollonia's just took the crown. When it comes to the square slice, you can't get it any better than st Appolonia's the crunch is better than any spot here in LA and you can't just tell there's just quality ingredients used. We had the pepperoni and the white sauce pizza. Absolutely amazing. It seems like everyone who works there is also having a great time and they were so friendly and helpful. It's awesome to see people who love their passion and it really shows with the people. There's always a line here and, while the place is pretty small, there's still some bar seating where you can enjoy your slice. Absolutely best pizza in the game.

lives up to the billing as one of LA's great pizza joints. i ordered the PEPPERONI, BURRATA AND MIKE'S HOT HONEY for pickup on their website. around $50 but well spent. the 20" pizza was huge and fed 3 hungry dudes. i was skeptical about the honey on the pizza, but the combination really kicks. i was pleasantly surprised, and it wasn't overly sweet. only small complaint was that the pizza wasn't ready for the pickup time i selected. probably waited another 15-20 minutes past pickup time, but staff was laid back and friendly. i'll definitely reorder from appolonia's again.

This place is located in a small plaza with very limited parking. Consider parking in the nearby residential area behind the plaza. After waiting in line and for our order to be prepared, we ended up waiting about 25 minutes in total. They only accept cash and don't have an ATM on-site, so be sure to bring enough cash with you. There is no seating available, only a small area where you can stand and eat. There is also no restroom, but they provide napkins and hand sanitizer. We ordered the vodka sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and Acapulco Gold pizzas. I enjoyed the thin slices that comes with a crispy crust. My favorite was the Acapulco Gold. The combination of pesto, truffle, and fresh arugula on top was just perfect!! Highly recommended for anyone who craves pizza in LA.

THE BEST PIZZA IN LOS ANGELES! If you haven't tried this, this is the year! Cash only, limited hours, and dang good food. I've gone twice in January and my experience so far: #1 came at 4:55pm on Sunday, right before opening and first in line to order. Ordered the vodka pepperoni (slices only), the pancetta, and vodka square. A 10-15 minute wait to get the pizzas, ate at the standing counter area. #2 came at 6pm on Sunday, way busier. Ordered cheese slice, cheese square, Acupulco gold square, and pepperoni square with added burrata and hot honey. About 15 minutes to order and another 20-25 minutes to get the food. They boxed it up for me and I took it to the car. The vodka pepperoni slice is heaven on earth, extremely crispy, crunchy, foldable pizza goodness. I will order this flavor anytime I visit (if available) The second time I came they didn't have it in the rotation, and it was so busy they couldn't make any additional orders for this so I will say the flavors can rotate and at will depending on how busy Apollonias is. The square slices are high quality, heavy, crunchy, and amazing. I was a big fan of the Acapulco gold for their garlic flavor and creamy sauce and arugula. My husband prefers the classic cheese square as it's very generous with the tomato sauce. One slice will easily make you full but if you'd have a long day you can go for 2/3 slices. The burrata on the pepperoni is incredible. The pancetta is bursting with flavor, I know many people would love this one. It's personally not our go to but we're happy to have tried it. Honestly you just need to try this place. I like their round slices better than the square but both types are the best in Los Angeles and I could see myself coming every weekend just to grab a slice or two. Just remember, don't show up on a Monday or Tuesday because they will be closed. Get your cash ready, or you can order full pies online. Parking in the lot is small and limited but people circle back in all the time as they go in and out of the plaza. Cant wait to come back and try the other flavors, so excited to eat them all!!

Please do not ignore the CASH ONLY bit. Slices are $7-15 and whole pies can be $45. They don't have an in-store ATM. We ordered 3 pepperoni squares with burrata and hot honey. These were fan-f'in-tastic. I'd order this again. We also ordered a 20 inch Venustiano. The crust was great. The sauce was more than spicy. I wished they had more mozzarella. This mostly a red sauce forward pizza. The sausage was great but the pizza shoulda been called the Where's Waldo since the sausage was hard to find. I wouldn't order this pizza again. And, we got 3 bottles of beverages out of the fridge. Total was just shy of $81. The service was friendly and chill. I felt everyone working there was not in a big hurry. I'm not sure if it's because they have limited oven space or what the issue was. I guess I'm used to a more frenetic atmosphere at a pizzeria. There is standing counter space only. This is more of a takeout place. Anyhow, the bottom line, I don't live near this pizzeria. I'd be happy to go here if I did live close. I'd just get the squares. I probably won't drive 45 minutes out here though.

It was my boyfies great idea to come to Apollonias and waow BEST CHOICE EVER ! He is a huge pizza lover & is quite picky w his pizza, and really wanted to give this place a try so I trusted his opinion. This a hole in the wall spot that ONLY takes cash -- can get super busy on the weekends. Parking was a bit difficult to find as well. We ordered the Detroit style square slice & a pepperoni slice and added burrata and hot honey. When I tell you the way the Detroit was airy & crispy -- I wasn't disgustingly full after. It was SO delicious I still think about it! The crust was saur crispy & it paired so well with the burrata and the hot honey. The pepperoni is my second fav just because I felt like the pizza was too liquidy -- every time I tried to take a bite a piece would fall off LOL but nonetheless still so good. I'd come back for the Detroit style square slice. Getting any pizza here with burrata + hot honey = MANDATORY ! The coffee soda looked inchrestinggggg so we also got that. Paired so well with the pizza :) So glad my boyfie introduced me to this amazing pizza place. I can confidently say we'll be back v soon :)

Some S-tier pizza. I was able to try both the Sicilian slice and two NY slices. The Sicilian had a nice thickness and satisfying crunch with every bite. Flavors are yummy but with the addition of the burrata and honey, it gets messy quick. I usually prefer a thinner slice, but this square slice was delicious. The two NY slices I had were amazing. Classic cheese slice had a nice crisp and undercarriage. When you fold the slice it's remains solid without a lot of flop. There was a nice blend of Tomato sauce and cheese. The vodka margarita slice was incredible. The slice is seasoned with pepper and basil and each bite is better than the last. I washed down the slices with a nice coffee soda. The vibe inside is cool with a juke box inside. There's no seating available unfortunately, and the pizzeria has weird hours of operation and is cash only. There are bars which you can stand and eat but it's pretty limited.Overall, some amazing pizza. 9/10 for LA standards, 8/10 for NY standards.

First things first, make sure this place is open. They have weird hours. I would hate for you to arrive and it's closed. As for the pizza, I went with the square single pepperoni slices with the added burrata. Actually my son and wife did the same while my youngest went with the cheese slice. Let's say this place was AMAZING. The thick square slices were the bomb.com. I tasted my daughter's crust and she got mad at me. Haha. My son was raving about his pizza slice. Nothing better when your son says, "good choice dad." The cool part was we ate our pizza in the parking lot. The reason is this place has a stand up counter to eat. Not much room for eating inside. The staff were pretty cool too. This big guy helped us and he was very welcoming. Thumbs up to you young man. I can't wait to return to Apollonia's.

As someone who moved to LA from NYC, I am always looking for great pizza! Apollina's is a spot I discovered at the LA Times Food Bowl, and I was super excited to visit their shop. Cons are definitely their strange/limited hours, and the fact that it is cash only. These things make it challenging for this to be a spot I just pop by whenever I'm in the mood, you do have to put some thought into it before you visit. We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday, and it took about 10-15 minutes for our slices to come out. The classic cheese slice was solid, but the square vodka slice was the standout for sure. I love a super thick, doughy pizza and the crust on this was perfect, but I found that even though it was fresh from the oven, it didn't feel fully heated through. The interior is fairly small but does have some counter space where you can stand and eat, and we parked around the corner on one of the residential streets since the strip mall it's in has limited spots.

So far the best pizza Ive had in LA. Ordered for 1:00pm pickup for fast and easy transaction. The wait did look long though, parking sucks but definitely worth it!! Was thin and crispy. Must go back and try others
